New congruences for broken $k$-diamond partitions

The notion of broken $k$-diamond partitions was introduced by Andrews and Paule. Let $Δ_{k}(n)$ denote the number of broken $k$-diamond partitions of $n$ for a fixed positive integer $k$. In this paper, we establish new infinite families of broken $k$-diamond partition congruences.

Turán inequalities for the broken $k$-diamond partition function

We obtain an asymptotic formula for Andrews and Paule's broken $k$-diamond partition function $Δ_k(n)$ where $k=1$ or $2$. Based on this asymptotic formula, we derive that $Δ_k(n)$ satisfies the order $d$ Turán inequalities for $d\geq 1$ and for sufficiently large $n$ when $k=1$ and $ 2$ by using a general result of Griffin, Ono, Rolen and Zagier. We also show that Andrews and Paule's broken $k$-diamond partition function $Δ_k(n)$ is log-concave for $n\geq 1$ when $k=1$ and $2$. This leads to $Δ_k(a)Δ_k(b)\geΔ_k(a+b)$ for $a,b\ge 1$ when $k=1$ and $ 2$.

Schmidt Type Partitions

Recently, Andrews and Paule studied Schmidt type partitions using MacMahon's Partition Analysis and obtained various interesting results. In this paper, we focus on the combinatorics of Schmidt type partition theorems and characterize them in a general and refined form. In addition, we also present some overpartition analogues of Schmidt type partition theorems.

On Finite Analogs of Schmidt's Problem and Its Variants

We refine Schmidt's problem and a partition identity related to 2-color partitions which we will refer to as Uncu-Andrews-Paule theorem. We will approach the problem using Boulet-Stanley weights and a formula on Rogers-Szegő polynomials by Berkovich-Warnaar, and present various Schmidt's problem alike theorems and their refinements. Bijective Approaches for Schmidt-Type Theorems

We provide new Schmidt-type results through an investigation of two bijections, which are results involving partitions with parts counted only at given indices. Mork's bijection, the first of these, was originally given as a proof of Schmidt's theorem. We show that a version of Sylvester's bijection is equivalent to Mork's bijection applied to 2-modular diagrams, which implies refinements of existing results and new generating function identities. Systematic study of Schmidt-type partitions via weighted words

Let $S=(s_n)_{n\geq 1}$ be a sequence with elements in a commutative monoid $(\mathcal{M},+,0)$. In this paper, we provide an explicit formula for $$\sum_{\la} C(\la) q^{\sum_{n\geq 1} \la_n\cdot s_n}$$ where $\la=(\la_1,\ldots)$ run through some subsets of over-partitions, and $C(\la)$ is a certain product of ``colors'' assigned to the parts of $\la$, and $q^s$ is a formal power of $q$ for $s\in M$.
