From analysis of data produced by the BABAR experiment, the first upper bounds (90% C.L.) were obtained on the branching ratios $Br(τ\to e γγ)<2.5 \times 10^{-4}$ and $Br(τ\to μγγ)<5.8 \times 10^{-4}$. In addition, improved upper bounds (95% C.L.) were found on branching ratios $Br(τ\to e X)<1.4 \times 10^{-3}$ and $Br(τ\to μX) <2.0 \times 10^{-3}$, where $X$ is an undetected weakly interacting boson with mass $m_X<1.6$ GeV/$c^2$.
We examine the parametrization of the e+e- -> omega pi0 cross section in the vicinity of the phi resonance and the extraction of the branching fraction of the isospin violating process phi -> omega pi0 from experimental data. We found that there are two possible solutions of the branching fraction, one is 4 times 10^{-5}, and the other is 7 times 10^{-3}. The latter is two orders of magnitude higher than the former, which is the commonly accepted one.
In the standard model flavor violating decays of the top quark and of the Higgs boson are highly suppressed. Further, the flavor violating decays of the top and of the Higgs are also small in MSSM and not observable in current or in near future experiment. In this work we show that much larger branching ratios for these decays can be achieved in an extended MSSM model with an additional vector like quark generation. Specifically we show that in the extended model one can achieve branching ratios for $t\to h^0 c$ and $t\to h^0 u$ as large as the current experimental upper limits given by the AT…
A search for lepton flavor violating decays of the $τ$ lepton to a lighter mass lepton and a pseudoscalar meson has been performed using 339 fb$^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data collected at a center-of-mass energy near 10.58 GeV by the BaBar detector at the SLAC PEP-II storage ring. No evidence of signal has been found, and upper limits on the branching fractions are set at $10^{-7}$ level.
The present experimental status of searches for lepton flavor violating decays of the $τ$ lepton to a lighter mass lepton and a photon or a pseudoscalar meson is presented. The results obtained are from $e^+e^-$ annihilation data collected at a center-of-mass energy near 10.58 GeV by the \babar and the Belle detectors. In order to benefit from larger available datasets, the first $\babar-$Belle combinations of upper limits on the branching fractions of lepton flavor violating $τ$-decays are obtained.
We study the lepton flavor violating decays such as $μ\to eγ$, $τ\to eγ$, $τ\to μγ$ in the three-loop radiative seesaw model proposed by Krauss, Nasri, and Trodden. In this model, the relevant coupling constants are larger for the heavier scalars that run inside loop diagrams to generate the appropriate magnitude of neutrino masses. Imposing a criterion that all the coupling constants must be small enough to be treated perturbatively, we find an upper bound on the mass of one of the scalars. By combining it with neutrino mass parameters, we derive lower bounds on the branching ratios of the le…
New physics thresholds which can modify the diphoton and dilepton Higgs branching ratios significantly may also provide new sources of CP and lepton flavor violation. We find that limits on electric dipole moments impose strong constraints on any CP-odd contributions to Higgs diphoton decays unless there are degeneracies in the Higgs sector that enhance CP-violating mixing. We exemplify this point in the language of effective operators and in simple UV-complete models with vector-like fermions. In contrast, we find that electric dipole moments and lepton flavor violating observables provide le…
The observation of charged lepton flavour violation would be a smoking gun for new physics and could help in pinpointing the mechanism at the origin of neutrino masses and mixing. We present here our recent studies of lepton flavour violating Higgs decays in the inverse seesaw and its supersymmetric embedding, two examples of low-scale seesaw mechanisms. We predict branching ratios as large as $10^{-5}$ for the decays $h\rightarrow τμ$ and $h \rightarrow τe$ in the inverse seesaw, which can be probed in future colliders. Supersymmetric contributions can enhance the branching ratio of $h\righta…
Motivated by recent $R_D$, $R_{D^*}$ and $R_{J/ψ}$ anomalies in $B\to D\ell^- \barν_{\ell}$, $B\to D^*\ell^- \barν_{\ell}$ and $B_c\to J/ψ\ell^- \barν_{\ell}$ decays, respectively, we study possible R-parity violating supersymmetric effects in $B_c\to J/ψ\ell^- \barν_{\ell},η_c\ell^- \barν_{\ell}$ and $Λ_b \to Λ_c \ell^- \barν_{\ell}$ decays, which are also induced by $b\to c \ell^- \barν_{\ell}$ at quark level. We find that (I) the constrained slepton exchange couplings $λ_{i33}\tildeλ'^*_{i23}$ involving in $b\to c τ^- \barν_τ$ transition from relevant latest experimental data still have qui…
We calculate the CP averaged branching ratios and CP-violating asymmetries for $B^0 \to ηη, ηη^\prime$ and $η^\prime η^\prime$ decays by employing the perturbative QCD (pQCD) factorization approach. The pQCD predictions for the CP-averaged branching ratios are $Br(B^0 \to ηη) \approx 0.67 \times 10^{-7}$, $Br(B^0 \to ηη^\prime) \approx 0.18 \times 10^{-7}$, and $Br(B^0 \to η^{\prime} η^{\prime}) \approx 0.11 \times 10^{-7}$, which are consistent with currently available experimental upper limits. We also predict large CP-violating asymmetries for the considered three decay modes, which can be …
We study the reaction $e^+ e^-\to ωπ^0$ in the vicinity of $ϕ$ mass region. The isospin-violating $ϕ$ excitation is accounted for by two major mechanisms. One is electromagnetic (EM) transition and the other is strong isospin violations. For the latter, we consider contributions from the intermediate hadronic meson loops and $ϕ$-$ρ^0$ mixing as the major mechanisms via the $t$ and s-channel transitions, respectively. By fitting the recent KLOE data, we succeed in constraining the model parameters and extracting the $ϕ\toωπ^0$ branching ratio. It shows that the branching ratio is sensitive to t…
We predict the branching ratios of lepton flavor violating radion decays r -> e^{\pm} μ^{\pm}, r -> e^{\pm} τ^{\pm} and r -> μ^{\pm} τ^{\pm} in the two Higgs doublet model, in the framework of the Randall Sundurum scenario. We observe that the branching ratios of the processes we study are at most at the order of 10^{-8} for the small values of radion mass and it decreases with the increasing values of m_r. Among the LFV decays we study, the r -> τ^{\pm} μ^{\pm} decay would be the most suitable one to measure its branching ratio.
Neutrinoless hadron Lepton Number Violating (LNV) decays can be induced by virtual Majorana neutrino, which in turn indubitably show the Majorana nature of neutrinos. Many three-body LNV processes and Lepton Flavour Violating (LFV) processes have been studied extensively in theory and by experiment. As a supplement, we here study 75 four-body LNV (LFV) processes from heavy pseudoscalar $B$ and $D$ decays. Most of these processes have not been studied in theory and searched for in experiment, while they may have sizable decay rates. Since the four-body decay modes have the same vertexes and mix…
Based on the low-energy effective Hamiltonian with the generalized factorization, we calculate the new physics contributions to branching ratios and CP-violating asymmetries of the charmless hadronic decays $B_s \to h_1 h_2$ in the standard model and the general two-Higgs doublet models (models I, II, and III). Within the considered paramter space, we find the following. (a) In models I and II, the new physics corrections are always small in size and will be masked by other larger known theoretical uncertainties. (b) In model III, the new physics corrections to the branching ratios of those QC…
We study the radiative lepton flavor violating l_i -> l_jγdecays in the two Higgs doublet model, respecting the Randall Sundrum scenario and estimate the contributions of the KK modes of left (right) handed charged lepton doublets (singlets) on the branching ratios. We observe that the branching ratios are sensitive to the contributions of the charged lepton KK modes.
We predict the branching ratios of the lepton flavor violating Higgs decays H^0\rightarrow e^{\pm} μ^{\pm}, H^0\rightarrow e^{\pm} τ^{\pm} and H^0\rightarrow μ^{\pm} τ^{\pm} with the assumption that lepton flavor violation is due to the unparticle mediation. Here, we consider an effective interaction which breaks the conformal invariance after the electroweak symmetry breaking and causes that unparticle becomes massive. The new interaction results in a modification of the mediating unparticle propagator and brings additional contribution to the branching ratios of the lepton flavor violating d…
We study the contribution of the tensor unparticle mediation to the branching ratios of the radiative lepton flavor violating decays and predict a restriction region for free parameters of the scenario by using experimental upper limits. We observe that the branching ratios of the radiative lepton flavor violating decays are sensitive to the fundamental mass scales of the scenario and to the scale dimension of antisymmetric tensor unparticle. We obtain a more restricted set for the free parameters in the case of the μ\rightarrow e γdecay
We study the rare decays $B^{+}_u\to π^{+}\ell^{+}\ell^{-}$, $ρ^{+}\ell^{+}\ell^{-}$ and $B^{0}_d \to \ell^{+} \ell^{-}(\ell=e,μ)$ in the R-parity violating supersymmetric standard model. From the latest upper limits of $\mathcal{B}(B^+_u\toπ^+\ell^+\ell^-)$ and $\mathcal{B}(B^0_d\to\ell^+\ell^-)$, we have derived new upper bounds on the relevant R-parity violating couplings products, which are stronger than the existing ones. Using the constrained parameter space, we present the R-parity violating effects on the branching ratios and the forward-backward asymmetries of these decays. We find th…
We argue that lepton flavor violating (LFV) decays $M \to \ell_1 \overline \ell_2$ of quarkonium states $M$ with different quantum numbers could be used to put constraints on the Wilson coefficients of effective operators describing LFV interactions at low energy scales. We note that restricted kinematics of the two-body quarkonium decays allows us to select operators with particular quantum numbers, significantly reducing the reliance on the single operator dominance assumption that is prevalent in constraining parameters of the effective LFV Lagrangian. We shall also argue that studies of ra…
We employ a mathematical framework based on rational approximants in order to calculate meson form factors. The method profits from unitary, is systematic and data based, and is able to ascribe a systematic uncertainty which provides for the desired model independence. Two examples are discussed: the transition form factor entering the pseudoscalar-pole piece of the hadronic light-by-light contribution to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon, and the $B \to π$ form factor participating the $B\toπ\ellν_{\ell}$ differential branching ratios which allows to determine the $|V_{ub}|$ CKM param…
We study the branching ratios of the lepton flavor violating processes μ-> e γ, τ-> e γand τ-> μγin the split fermion scenario, in the framework of the two Higgs doublet model. We observe that the branching ratios are relatively more sensitive to the compactification scale and the Gaussian widths of the leptons in the extra dimensions, for two extra dimensions and especially for the τ-> μγdecay.
We briefly review the lepton flavor violating Z-decays at GigaZ as a probe of supersymmetry by focusing on $Z \to \ell_i \overline{\ell}_j$ in two representative supersymmetric models: the minimal supersymmetric model without R-parity and the supersymmetric seesaw model. We conclude that under the current experimental constraints from LEP and $\ell_i\to \ell_j γ$, these rare decays can still be enhanced to reach the sensitivity of the GigaZ. Therefore, supersymmetry can be probed via these decays at GigaZ.

We argue that lepton flavor violating (LFV) decays $M \to \ell_1 \overline{\ell}_2$ of meson states $M$ with different quantum numbers could be used to put constraints on the Wilson coefficients of effective operators describing LFV interactions at low energy scales. We note that the restricted kinematics of the two-body decay of quarkonium or a heavy quark meson allows us to select operators with particular quantum numbers, significantly reducing the reliance on the $single \ operator \ dominance$ assumption that is prevalent in constraining parameters of the effective LFV Lagrangian. We predict the branching ratios of the lepton flavor violating Higgs decays H^0->e^{\pm} μ^{\pm}, H^0-> e^{\pm} τ^{\pm} and H^0->μ^{\pm} τ^{\pm} in the case that the lepton flavor violation is carried by the scalar unparticle mediation. We observe that their branching ratios are strongly sensitive to the unparticle scaling dimension and they can reach to the values of the order of $10^{-4}$, for the heavy lepton flavor case and for the small values of the scaling dimension.
In this work, we have studied lepton flavor violating (LFV) decays of $Z$ gauge boson and Higgs boson ($H$) in the scotogenic model. We have computed branching ratios for the decays $Z\to\ell_α\ell_β$ and $H\to\ell_α\ell_β$ in this model. Here, $\ell_α$ and $\ell_β$ are different charged lepton fields. After fitting to the neutrino oscillation observables in the scotogenic model, we have found that the branching ratios for the LFV decays of $Z$ and $H$ can be as large as $\sim10^{-8}$ and $\sim10^{-3}$ respectively. However, after satisfying the constraints due to non-observation of $\ell_α\to…
In this paper, the lepton flavor violating $τ\to \ell P(V)$ ($P,V= π^0, η, η^{\prime}, ρ^0, ω, ϕ$) and $τ\to 3\ell$ ($\ell = e, μ$) decays are studied in the framework of the type-III seesaw model, in which new triplet fermions with a zero hypercharge (Y=0) interact with ordinary lepton doublets via Yukawa couplings, and affect tree-level leptonic Z-boson couplings. We investigate the experimental bound from the leptonic Z decay to get contraint on the exsiting parameters space. We predict that the upper limits on the branching ratios of $τ\to \ell P(V)$ and $τ\to 3\ell$ can reach the experime…
We calculate the branching ratios and CP-violating asymmetries for $B_s^0 \to π^0 η^{(\prime)}$ decays in the perturbative QCD (pQCD) factorization approach here. We not only calculate the usual factorizable contributions, but also evaluate the non-factorizable and annihilation type contributions. The pQCD predictions for the CP-averaged branching ratios are $BR(B_s^0 \to π^0 η) \approx 0.86 \times 10^{-7}$ and $BR(B_s^0 \to π^0 η') \approx 1.86 \times 10^{-7}$. The pQCD predictions for the CP-violating asymmetries are $A_{CP}^{dir}(π^0 η)\sim -4.5 % $, $A_{CP}^{dir}(π^0 η')\sim -9.1% $, $A_{C…
We consider effects of $n-\bar n$ oscillations and resultant matter instability due to dinucleons decays. We point out that existing upper bounds on the rates for the dinucleon decays $nn \to 2π^0$, $nn \to π^+π^-$, and $np \to π^+π^0$ imply upper bounds on the rates for dinucleon decays to dileptons $nn \to e^+ e^-$, $nn \to μ^+μ^-$, $nn \to ν_\ell \barν_\ell$, and $np \to \ell^+ ν_\ell$, where $\ell=e, \ μ, \ τ$. We present estimates for these upper bounds. Our bounds are substantially stronger than corresponding limits from direct searches.
We predict the branching ratios of Z-> e^{\pm} μ^{\pm}, Z-> e^{\pm} τ^{\pm} and Z-> μ^{\pm} τ^{\pm} decays in the framework of the 2HDM, in the split fermion scenario. We observe that the branching ratios are not sensitive to a single extra dimension, however, this sensitivity is considerably large for two extra dimensions.
We show that a novel decay mode $Zh$ of the bound state of stop-anti-stop pair in the ground state $^1S_0(\widetilde t_1\widetilde t_1^*)$ may have a significant branching ratio if the $CP$ violating mixing appears in the stop sector, even after we apply the stringent constraint from the measurement of the electric dipole moment (EDM) of the electron. We show that the branching ratio can be as large as 10% in some parameter space that it may be detectable at the LHC.
The flavor-changing top-quark decay $t\to c h$, where $h$ is the lightest CP-even Higgs boson in the minimal supersymmetric standard model, is examined in the R-parity-violating supersymmetric model. Within the existing bounds on the relevant R-parity-violating couplings, the branching fraction for $t\to c h$ can be as large as about $10^{-5}$ in some part of the parameter space.
We study the radiative lepton flavor violating l_1->l_2γdecays in the two Higgs doublet model with localized new Higgs doublet in the Randall Sundrum background. We estimate the contributions of the KK modes of new Higgs bosons and left (right) handed charged lepton doublets (singlets) on the branching ratios of the decays considered. We observe that there is an enhancement in the branching ratios with the addition of new Higgs boson and lepton KK modes.
We argue that radiative lepton flavor violating (RLFV) decays $P \to γ\ell_1 \overline{\ell}_2$ of $P =B^0_q$, $\bar{D}^0$, and $K^0$ meson states are robust probes of new physics models. In particular, they could be used to put constraints on the Wilson coefficients of effective operators describing lepton flavor-changing neutral current interactions at low energy scales. We set up a generic framework for describing these transitions and review new physics constraints from $P \to \ell_1 \bar \ell_2$ decays. There is discussion of how RLFV transitions provide access to the operators that canno…
We predict the branching ratios of the lepton flavor violating Z boson decays Z\to e^{\pm} μ^{\pm}, Z\to e^{\pm} τ^{\pm} and Z\to μ^{\pm} τ^{\pm} in the case that the lepton flavor violation is carried by the scalar unparticle mediation. We observe that their BRs are strongly sensitive to the unparticle scaling dimension and the branching ratios can reach to the values of the order of 10^{-8}, for the heavy lepton flavor case, for the small values of the scaling dimension.
The experimental observation of lepton-number violating processes would unambiguously indicate the Majorana nature of neutrinos. Various $ΔL$ = 2 processes for pseudoscalar meson $M_1$ decays to another pseudoscalar meson $M_2$ and two charged leptons $\ell_1$, $\ell_2$ ($M_1^+\to \ell_1^+\ell_2^+M_2^-$) have been studied extensively. Extending the existing literature on the studies of these kinds of processes, we consider the rare decays of heavy mesons to a vector meson or a pseudoscalar meson. These processes have not been searched for experimentally, while they may have sizable decay rates…
We predict the branching ratios of the lepton flavor violating radion decays r -> e^{\pm} μ^{\pm}, r -> e^{\pm} τ^{\pm} and r ->μ^{\pm} τ^{\pm} in the framework of the Randall-Sundrum scenario that the lepton flavor violation is carried by the scalar unparticle mediation. We observe that their BRs are strongly sensitive to the unparticle scaling dimension and, for its small values, the branching ratios can reach to the values of the order of 10^{-8}, for the heavy lepton flavor case.
A minimal particle content supersymmetric model with a discrete Z_3 symmetry, allowing lepton number violating terms, is studied. Within this model, the neutrino masses and mixing can be generated by lepton number violating couplings. Choosing parameters which correctly describe both the masses and mixing in the neutrino sector, we consider their repercussions in flavour violating radiative lepton decays, l --> l' gamma. Such decays have not been observed and, accordingly, soon to be improved, upper bounds on their branching ratios exist. We do not assume dominance of either the bilinear or tr…
We study the branching ratios of the lepton flavor violating processes μ-> eγ, τ-> eγand τ-> μγin the split fermion scenario, with the assumption that the new Higgs doublet is restricted to the 4D brane (thin bulk) in one and two extra dimensions, in the framework of the two Higgs doublet model. We observe that the branching ratios are sensitive to the location of the 4D brane and, in the second case, the width of the thin bulk, especially for the μ-> eγdecay.
We consider a neutrino mass generating model which employs a scalar leptoquark, $Δ$, and a scalar diquark, $S$. The new scalars $Δ$ and $S$ carry the standard model $SU(3)_c\times SU(2)_L\times U(1)_Y$ quantum numbers $(3,1,-1/3)$ and $(6,1,-2/3)$, respectively. The neutrino masses are generated at the two-loop level, as in the Zee-Babu model\cite{Zee-Babu}, and $Δ/S$ plays the role of the doubly/singly charged scalar in the Zee-Babu model. With a moderate working assumption that the magnitudes of the six Yukawa couplings between $S$ and the down-type quarks are of the same order, strong conne…
We study contributions to $pp\to W^+W^- \to \ellν_\ell \ell^\primeν_{\ell^\prime}$ in models with a new Higgs boson, $H$, and a neutral lepton, $ν_{4}$, with couplings $H-ν_{4}-ν_μ$ and $W-ν_{4}-μ$ through the process $pp \to H \to ν_4 ν_μ\to W μν_μ\to \ellν_\ell μν_μ$. Contrary to naive expectations, we find that contributions to $pp\to WW$ can be very large while satisfying constraints from standard $H\to WW$ and $H\toγγ$ searches. Even the excess observed by ATLAS in $pp\to WW$, if taken at face value, can be easily accommodated. The various kinematic distributions fit nicely the experiment…
In this paper, we calculate the branching ratios and CP-violating asymmetries for $B_{s}\to ρ^\pm K^\mp$, $B_{s}\toρ^{0}\bar{K}^0 $ and $B_{s}\toω\bar{K}^0$ decays in the perturbative QCD (pQCD) factorization approach. The theoretical predictions for the CP averaged branching ratios of the considered decays are: $Br(B_{s}\toρ^\pm K^\mp)\approx 24.7 \times 10^{-6}$, $Br(B_{s}\toρ^{0}\bar{K}^0) \approx 1.2 \times 10^{-7}$ and $Br(B_{s} \toω\bar{K}^0) \approx 1.7 \times 10^{-7}$; and we also predict very large direct CP-violating asymmetries for the latter two decay modes: $A_{CP}^{dir}(ρ^{\pm} K…
Within an effective-field-theory framework, we present a model-independent analysis of the potential of discovering new physics by searching for lepton flavour violation in heavy quarkonium decays and, more in general, we study the phenomenology of lepton-flavour-violating (LFV) 2 quark - 2 lepton ($2q2\ell$) operators with two charm or bottom fields. We compute the constraints from LFV muon and tau decays on the new-physics operators that can induce LFV processes involving $c\bar c$ and $b\bar b$ systems, thus providing a comprehensive list of indirect upper limits on processes such as $J/ψ\t…
We predict the branching ratios of Z -> e^{\pm} μ^{\pm}, Z -> e^{\pm} τ^{\pm} and Z -> μ^{\pm} τ^{\pm} decays in the model III version of the two Higgs doublet model, with the inclusion of one and two spatial non-universal extra dimensions. We observe that the the branching ratios are not sensitive to a single extra dimension, however, this sensitivity is considerably large for two extra dimensions.
The lepton flavor violating decay of the Standard Model-like Higgs boson (LFVHD), h->μτ, is discussed in seesaw models at the one-loop level. Based on particular analytic expressions of Passarino-Veltman functions, the two unitary and 't Hooft Feynman gauges are used to compute the branching ratio of LFVHD and compare with results reported recently. In the minimal seesaw (MSS) model, the branching ratio was investigated in the whole valid range 10^{-9}-10^{15} GeV of new neutrino mass scale m_{n_6}. Using the Casas-Ibarra parameterization, this branching ratio enhances with large and increasin…
We report the first measurement of the branching fraction f00 for Upsilon(4S) --> B0B0bar. The data sample consists of 81.7 fb^-1 collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e^+e^- storage ring. Using partial reconstruction of the decay B0bar --> D^{*+} \ell^{-} \barν_{\ell} in which only the charged lepton and the soft pion from the decay D^{*+} --> D0 pi^+ are reconstructed, we obtain f00 = 0.487 \pm 0.010(stat) \pm 0.008(sys). Our result does not depend on the branching fractions of B0bar --> D^{*+} \ell^{-} \barν_{\ell} and D^{*+} --> D0 p…
Inspired by the recent hints of lepton flavor universality violation in $b\to s\ell\ell$ and $b\to c\ellν$ transitions, we study lepton flavor violating exclusive $Λ_b\toΛ\ell_1^+\ell_2^-$ ($\ell_1\neq \ell_2$) decay, which is forbidden in the Standard Model. Starting from a general effective Hamiltonian for a $b\to s\ell_1^+\ell_2^-$ transition that includes vector and axial-vector operators, and scalar and pseudo-scalar operators, we derive a two-fold decay distribution of $Λ_b\toΛ\ell_1^+\ell_2^-$. The distribution helps us to construct the differential branching ratio and the lepton side f…
We analyze the semileptonic $B \to a_1 \ell^+\ell^-$, $\ell=τ, μ, e$ transitions in the frame work of the three-point QCD sum rules in the standard model. These rare decays governed by flavor-changing neutral current transition of $b \to d$. Considering the quark condensate contributions, the relevant form factors as well as the branching fractions of these transitions are calculated.
We analyze the lepton flavor violating decays $τ\rightarrow Pl$ ($P=π,η,η';\;l=e,μ$) in the scenario of the minimal R-symmetric supersymmetric standard model. The prediction on the branching ratios BR$(τ\rightarrow P e)$ and BR$(τ\rightarrow P μ)$ is affected by the mass insertion parameters $δ^{13}$ and $δ^{23}$, respectively. These parameters are constrained by the experimental bounds on the branching ratios BR($τ\rightarrow e (μ) γ$) and BR($τ\rightarrow 3e(μ)$). The result shows $Z$ penguin dominates the prediction on BR($τ\rightarrow Pl$) in a large region of the parameter space. The bran…
With just two R-parity violating couplings, $λ'_{223}$ and $λ'_{323}$, we correlate several channels, namely, $D_s \to \ell ν$ ($\ell = μ, τ$), $(g-2)_μ$, and some lepton flavor violating $τ$ decays. For $λ'_{223} = λ'_{323} \sim 0.3$ and for a common superpartner mass of 300 GeV, which explain the recently observed excesses in the above $D_s$ decay channels, we predict the following R-parity violating contributions: ${\rm Br} (τ\to μγ) \sim 4.5 \cdot 10^{-8}$, ${\rm Br} (τ\to μμμ) \sim 1.2 \cdot 10^{-8}$, ${\rm Br} (τ\to μη/η') \sim 4 \cdot 10^{-10}$, and $(g_μ-2)/2 \sim 4 \cdot 10^{-11}$. We…
A lot of branching ratios of the exclusive $c \to d/s\ellν_\ell$ ($\ell=e,μ$) decays have been quite accurately measured by CLEO-c, BELLE, BABAR, BES(I,II,III), ALEPH and MARKIII collaborations. We probe the R-parity violating supersymmetric effects in the exclusive $c \to d/s\ellν_\ell$ decays. From the latest experimental measurements, we obtain new upper limits on the relevant R-parity violating coupling parameters within the decays, and many upper limits are obtained for the first time. Using the constrained new parameter spaces, we predict the R-parity violating effects on the observables…
We study the three body lepton flavor violating (LFV) decays $μ^- \to e^- e^+ e^-$, $τ^- \to l_i^- l_j^+ l_j^-$ and the semileptonic decay $τ\to μϕ$ in the flavor changing neutral current (FCNC) mediated $Z$ boson model. We also calculate the branching ratios for LFV leptonic B decays, $B_{d,s} \to μe$, $B_{d,s} \to τe$, $B_{d,s} \to τμ$ and the conversion of muon to electron in Ti nucleus. The new physics parameter space is constrained by using the experimental limits on $μ^- \to e^- e^+ e^-$ and $τ^- \to μ^- μ^+ μ^-$. We find that the branching ratios for $τ\to eee $ and $τ\to μϕ$ processes …
We present precise theoretical predictions for the absolute branching fractions of $Λ_c^+ \to Λ\ell^+ ν_\ell\,(\ell=e,μ)$ decays in the covariant confined quark model. This study is motivated by two recent and accurate measurements of the absolute branching fractions of $Λ_c^+ \to p K^- π^+$ and $Λ_c^+ \to Λe^+ ν_e$ by the Belle Collaboration at the KEKB and by the BESIII Collaboration at the BEPCII. Our predictions for the branching fractions are consistent with both experimental results. We also provide detailed numerical results for differential decay distributions and polarization observab…
We show that the scalar leptoquark Yukawa couplings generate a significant lepton flavour violation. We compute the light scalar leptoquark contributions to the branching ratios (Br) of the lepton flavour violating (LFV) decays $\ell \to \ell_i \ell_j \bar{\ell}_j$ and $\ell \rightarrow \ell^{\prime} γ$ with (i,j = e,$μ$). We discuss the role of the relevant input parameters to these decay rates which are the Yukawa couplings ($h_{a\ell}$) with ($a=u,c,t$), the light scalar mass $M_{S_{1}}$ and the mixing angle $\sin2θ_{LQ}$. We investigate the experimental limits from $(g-2)_μ$, $μ-e$ convers…
We summarized our report on leptonic flavor violating Higgs decay into mu + tau under the scheme of a generic supersymmetric standard model without R parity. With known experimental constraints imposed, important combinations of R-parity violating parameters which can give notable branching ratios are listed.
The CP-violating phases associated with Majorana neutrinos can give rise to CP-violating effects even in processes that conserve total Lepton number, such as μ-> eee+, μ+ e -> e + e and others. After explaining the reasons that make this happen, we consider the calculation of the rates for the process of the form \ell_a + \ell_b -> \ell_a + \ell_c, and its conjugate \bar\ell_a + \bar\ell_b -> \bar\ell_a + \bar\ell_c, where \ell_a, \ell_b and \ell_c denote charged leptons of different flavors. In the context of the Standard Model with Majorana neutrinos, we show that the difference in the rates…
Inspired by the recent experimental results which show deviations from the standard model (SM) predictions of $b\rightarrow s \ell^+\ell^-$ transitions, we study the $R$-parity violating minimal supersymmetric standard model (RPV-MSSM) extended by the inverse seesaw mechanism. The trilinear $R$-parity violating terms, together with the chiral mixing of sneutrinos, induce the loop contributions to the $b\rightarrow s \ell^+\ell^-$ anomaly. We study the parameter space of the single-parameter scenario $C^{\rm NP}_{9,μ}=-C^{\rm NP}_{10,μ}=C_{\rm V}$ and the double-parameter scenario $(C_{\rm V},C…
