In this article, we generalize Duflo's conjecture to understand the branching laws of non-discrete series. We give a unified description on the geometric side about the restriction of an irreducible unitary representation $π$ of $\mathrm{GL}_n(k)$, $k=\mathbb{R}$ or $\mathbb{C}$, to the mirabolic subgroup, where $π$ is attached to a certain kind of coadjoint orbit.

The purpose of this paper is to prove Duflo's conjecture for $(G,π, AN)$ where $G$ is a simple Lie group of Hermitian type and $π$ is a discrete series of $G$ and $AN$ is the maximal exponential solvable subgroup for an Iwasawa decomposition $G=KAN$. In this article, we give a natural geometric interpretation of Kirillov's conjecture for tempered representations in the framework of orbit method. This interpretation can also be considered as a first generalization of Duflo's conjecture to non-discrete series representations.
Let $G$ be a connected Lie group, with Lie algebra $g$. In 1977, Duflo constructed a homomorphism of $g$-modules $Duf: S(g) -> U(g)$, which restricts to an algebra isomorphism on invariants. In 1979, M. Kashiwara and M. Vergne formulated a conjecture on a Lie group G which implies that the Duflo isomorphism of Z(g) and S(g)^g extends to a natural module isomorphism between the spaces of germs of invariant distributions on G and g=Lie(G), respectively. They also proved their conjecture for G solvable. Using Kontsevich's deformation quantization we establish directly this result for distributions on any real Lie group G. In turn this gives a new proof of Duflo's result on the local solvability of bi-invariant differential operators on G.
This article is a survey about applications of bi-quantization theory in Lie theory. We focus on a conjecture of M. Duflo. Most of the applications are coming from our article with Alberto Cattaneo and some extensions are relating discussions with my student. The end of the article is completely new. We prove that the conjecture E=1 implies the Kashiwara-Vergne conjecture. Our deformation is non geometric but uses a polynomial deformation of the coefficients.

Let G be a complex connected reductive group. The PRV conjecture, which was proved independently by S. Kumar and O. Mathieu in 1989, gives explicit irreducible submodules of the tensor product of two irreducible G-modules. This paper has three aims. First, we simplify the proof of the PRV conjecture, then we generalize it to other branching problems. Finally, we find other irreducible components of the tensor product of two irreducible G-modules that appear for "the same reason" as the PRV ones.

An unresolved conjecture by Graham Higman states that for all $n\geq 1$ the number of conjugacy classes of the group of $n \times n$ unitriangular matrices with entries in the finite field $\mathbb{F}_q$ is a polynomial in $q$. In this paper we introduce a new quiver generalization of the conjecture. Motivated by this generalization, we prove that certain operations on quivers leave the relevant counts unchanged. Based on these invariance properties, we solve the introduced conjecture for quivers containing no path of length exceeding two, providing explicit formulas.
