We calculate exactly cumulant generating functions (full counting statistics) for the transverse, staggered magnetization and the domain walls at zero temperature for a finite interval of the XY spin chain. In particular, we also derive a universal interpolation formula in the scaling limit for the full counting statistics of the transverse magnetization and the domain walls which is based on the solution of a Painlevé V equation. By further determining subleading corrections in a large interval asymptotics, we are able to test the applicability of conformal field theory predictions at criticality. As a byproduct, we also obtain exact results for the probability of formation of ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic domains in both $σ^z$ and $σ^x$ basis in the ground state. The analysis hinges upon asymptotic expansions of block Toeplitz determinants, for which we formulate and check numerically a new conjecture.

We discuss a method to compute the microcanonical entropy at fixed magnetization without direct counting. Our approach is based on the evaluation of a saddle-point leading to an optimization problem. The method is applied to a benchmark Ising model with simultaneous presence of mean-field and nearest-neighbour interactions for which direct counting is indeed possible, thus allowing a comparison. Moreover, we apply the method to an Ising model with mean-field, nearest-neighbour and next-nearest-neighbour interactions, for which direct counting is not straightforward. For this model, we compare …
Magnetic and thermodynamic properties of the anisotropic XYZ spin-1/2 finite chain under both homogeneous and inhomogeneous magnetic fields are theoretically studied at low temperature. Using exact diagonalization method (ED), we study the magnetization, magnetic susceptibility and specific heat of the model characterized in terms of the finite correlation length in the presence of three different magnetic fields including longitudinal, transverse and transverse staggered magnetic fields. The magnetization, susceptibility and the specific heat of the model are investigated under two conditions…
We study the spin-boson model (SBM) with two spins in staggered biases by a numerically exact method based on variational matrix product states. Several observables such as the magnetization, the entanglement entropy between the two spins and the bosonic environment, the ground-state energy, as well as the correlation function for two spins are calculated exactly. The characteristics of these observables suggest that the staggered biases can drive the 2nd-order quantum phase transition (QPT) to the 1st-order QPT in the sub-Ohmic SBM, while the Kosterlitz-Thouless QPT in the Ohmic SBM goes dire…
We numerically investigate the stationary and non-equilibrium critical dynamics in three-dimensional isotropic Heisenberg antiferromagnets. Since the non-conserved staggered magnetization couples dynamically to the conserved magnetization density, we employ a hybrid simulation algorithm that combines reversible spin precession with relaxational Kawasaki spin exchange processes. We measure the dynamic critical exponent and identify a suitable intermediate time window to obtain the aging scaling exponents. Our results support an earlier renormalization group prediction: While the critical aging …
