We perform a SU(3) analysis for both semi-leptonic and non-leptonic heavy meson weak decays into a pseudoscalar meson and a fully-light tetraquark in 10 or 27 representation. A reduction of the SU(3) representation tensor for the fully-light tetraquarks is produced and all the flavor components for each representation tensor are listed. The decay channels we analysis include $B/D \to U/T~P~lν$, $B/D \to U/T~P $ and $B_c \to U/T~P/D$, with $U/T$ represents a fully-light tetraquark in 10 or 27 representation and $P$ is a pseudoscalar meson. Finally, among these results we list all the golden decay channels which are expected to have more possibilities to be observed in experiments.
Data on e+e- -> piplus-piminus-Upsilon(1S,2S,3S) show a large increase in branching fractions near Upsilon(10860). A suggestion of Ali et al. is to interpret this as evidence for a tetraquark, Yb(10890) = b-bbar. However, it may also be interpreted in terms of Upsilon(10860) -> B-B*, B*B* and BsB*s above the open-b threshold, followed by de-excitation processes such as $BB* -> Upsilon (1S,2S,3S). In the charm sector, a hypothesis open to experimental test is that X,Y and Z peaks in the mass range 3872 to 3945 MeV may all be due to regular 3P1 and 3P2 c-cbar states (and perhaps 3P0) mixed with …
We propose a search for the newly discovered tetraquark candidate Z(4430) in photoproduction. Based on the Belle results we show that if Z(4430) is a genuine resonance, its significantly large coupling to $ψ^\primeπ$ will cause it to stand out above the background in $γp\to Z^+(4430) n\to ψ^\prime π^+ n$. We consider the dependence of the cross section for the quantum numbers ($J^{P}=1^{-}$, $1^{+}$ or $0^{-}$).
In the framework of coupled-channel formalism the relativistic four-quark equations are found. The dynamical mixing of the meson-meson states with the four-quark states is considered. The four-quark amplitudes of the tetraquarks with open charm, including u, d, s, c quarks, are constructed. The poles of these amplitudes determine the masses and widths of tetraquarks.
In the heavy-quark limit, the two heavy quarks in a doubly heavy baryon or a doubly heavy tetraquark are bound by their color-Coulomb potential into a compact diquark. The doubly heavy hadrons are related by the approximate heavy-quark--diquark symmetry of QCD to the heavy hadrons obtained by replacing the heavy diquark by a heavy antiquark. Effective field theories can be used to expand the masses of singly heavy hadrons and doubly heavy hadrons in inverse powers of the heavy quark masses. The coefficients in the expansions for doubly heavy tetraquarks can be determined from those for heavy m…
Diquarks are found to have the right degrees of freedom to describe the tetraquark poles in hidden-charm to open-charm meson-meson amplitudes. Compact tetraquarks result as intermediate states in non-planar diagrams of the 1/N expansion and the corresponding resonances are narrower than what estimated before. The proximity of tetraquarks to meson-thresholds has an apparent role in this analysis and, in the language of meson molecules, an halving rule in the counting of states is obtained.
It is suggested that the narrow meson state seen in the the SELEX experiment is a $(c\bar{s} s\bar{s})$ tetraquark state. Characteristics of other possible tetraquarks formed out of $c$ and $s$ quarks and antiquarks are considered.
For very heavy quarks $Q$, relations derived from heavy-quark symmetry predict the existence of novel narrow doubly heavy tetraquark states of the form $Q_iQ_j \bar q_k \bar q_l$ (subscripts label flavors), where $q$ designates a light quark. By evaluating finite-mass corrections, we predict that double-beauty states composed of $bb\bar u \bar d$, $bb\bar u \bar s$, and $bb\bar d \bar s$ will be stable against strong decays, whereas the double-charm states $cc \bar q_k \bar q_l$, mixed beauty+charm states $bc \bar q_k \bar q_l$, and heavier $bb \bar q_k \bar q_l$ states will dissociate into pa…
For very heavy quarks, relations derived from heavy-quark symmetry imply novel narrow doubly heavy tetraquark states containing two heavy quarks and two light antiquarks. We predict that double-beauty states will be stable against strong decays, whereas the double-charm states and mixed beauty+charm states will dissociate into pairs of heavy-light mesons. Observing a new double-beauty state through its weak decays would establish the existence of tetraquarks and illuminate the role of heavy color-antitriplet diquarks as hadron constituents.
We consider the relative decay rates of B0 and Bs mesons into a Jψ plus a light scalar meson either the f0(500) (σ) or the f0(980). We show that it is possible to distinguish between the quark content of the scalars being quark-antiquark or tetraquark by measuring specific ratios of decay rates. Using current data we determine the ratio of form-factors in Bs->Jψf0(980) with respect to B0->Jψf0(500) decays to be 1.02(+0.14, -0.04) at a four-momentum transfer squared equal to the mass of the Jψ meson squared. In the case where these light mesons are considered to be quark-antiquark states, we gi…
We study the low-lying scalar mesons of light u, d, s flavors in the QCD sum rule. Having all possible combinations of tetraquark currents in the local form, QCD sum rule analysis has been carefully performed. We found that using the appropriate tetraquark currents, the masses of sigma, kappa, f_0 and a_0 mesons appear in the region of 0.6 -- 1 GeV with the expected ordering. The results are compared with that of the conventional \bar{q} q currents, where the masses are considerably larger.
We study the possible tetraquark interpretation of light scalar meson states $a_0(980)$, $f_0(980)$, $κ$, $σ$ within the framework of the non-relativistic potential model. The wave functions of tetraquark states are obtained in a space spanned by multiple Gaussian functions. We find that the mass spectra of the light scalar mesons can be well accommodated in the tetraquark picture if we introduce a three-body quark interaction in the quark model. Using the obtained multiple Gaussian wave functions, the decay constants of tetraquarks are also calculated within the ``fall apart'' mechanism.
Two-ordinary-meson scattering in large-$N_c$ QCD implies consistency criteria for intermediate-tetraquark contributions. Their fulfilment at $N_c$-leading order constrains the nature of the spectrum of genuinely exotic tetraquark states.
In this talk, we summarize our recent works on the tetraquark mixing framework for the two light-meson nonets in the $J^{PC} = 0^{++}$ channel, the light nonet [$a_0(980)$, $K_0^*(700)$, $f_0(500)$, $f_0(980)$] and the heavy nonet [$a_0(1450)$, $K_0^*(1430)$, $f_0(1370)$, $f_0(1500)$]. We briefly explain this mixing framework and present various phenomenological signatures to support this picture.
Recent experimental signals have led to a revival of tetraquarks, the hypothetical $q^2\bar{q}^2$ hadronic states proposed by Jaffe in 1976 to explain the light scalar mesons. Mesonic structures with exotic quantum numbers have indeed been observed recently, though a controversy persists whether these are true resonances and not merely kinematical threshold enhancements, or otherwise states not of a true $q^2\bar{q}^2$ nature. Moreover, puzzling non-exotic mesons are also often claimed to have a tetraquark configuration. However, the corresponding model calculations are practically always carr…
Stimulated by the newly reported doubly-charmed tetraquark state $T_{cc}^+$ by LHCb, we carry out a systematic investigation of the $S$-wave interactions between the charmed meson ($D,\,D^{*}$) in $H$-doublet and the charmed meson ($D_{1},\,D_{2}^{*}$) in $T$-doublet by adopting the one-boson-exchange model. Both the $S$-$D$ wave mixing effect and the coupled channel effect are taken into account. By performing a quantitative calculation, we suggest that the $S$-wave $D^{*} D_{1}$ states with $I(J^{P})=0(0^{-},\,1^{-})$ and the $S$-wave $D^{*}D_{2}^{*}$ state with $I(J^{P})=0(1^{-})$ should be…
We examine the interpretation of the light scalar meson nonet as tetraquark states using QCD sum rules. With the interpolating current for the tetraquark states composed of scalar diquark and scalar antidiquark, first, we construct the QCD sum rules by means of the operator product expansion up to the operators of dimension 8 and show that there is no evidence of the coupling of the tetraquark states to the light scalar meson nonet. In order to have a stable sum rule, we propose a "good" interpolating current for the tetraquarks based on chirality arguments which includes scalar and pseudoscal…
In this work we study the mass spectra of the fully-heavy tetraquark systems, i.e. $cc\bar{c}\bar{c}$, $bb\bar{b}\bar{b}$, $bb\bar{c}\bar{c}/cc\bar{b}\bar{b}$, $bc\bar{c}\bar{c}/cc\bar{b}\bar{c}$, $bc\bar{b}\bar{b}/bb\bar{b}\bar{c}$, and $bc\bar{b}\bar{c}$, within a potential model by including the linear confining potential, Coulomb potential, and spin-spin interactions. It shows that the linear confining potential has important contributions to the masses and is crucial for our understanding of the mass spectra of the fully-heavy tetraquark systems. For the fully-heavy tetraquarks $Q_1Q_2\ba…
We suggest that the recently discovered charm-strange meson D_sJ(2632), with unusual properties, could be a cyptoexotic tetraquark baryonium state cdd_bars_bar. We predict other four narrow states, as Regge recurrences of D_sJ(2632), below the possible baryon-antibaryon thresholds.
Flavor-exotic tetraquark mesons have recently been observed in the heavy-quark pair sectors of QCD, including two isospin multiplets in the b b-bar sector, Z_b(10610) and Z_b(10650), and one isospin multiplet in the c c-bar sector, Z_c(3900). We identify Z_b and Z_c as tetraquark mesons that are analogs of quarkonium hybrids with the gluon field replaced by an isospin-1 excitation of the light-quark fields. Given the identification of Y(4260) and Z_c(3900) as a ground-state charmonium hybrid and tetraquark, respectively, lattice QCD calculations of the charmonium spectrum can be used to estima…
We embark on systematic explorations of the behaviour of tetraquark mesons (colour-singlet bound states of two quarks and two antiquarks) in the (idealized) limit of a large number $N_c$ of colour degrees of freedom of quantum chromodynamics. Considering the scattering of two ordinary mesons into two ordinary mesons, we start off with formulating a set of selection criteria that should enable us to unambiguously single out precisely those contributions to all encountered scattering amplitudes that potentially will develop tetraquark poles. Assuming that tetraquark mesons do exist and, if so, e…
We give a review of the calculations of the masses of tetraquarks with two and four heavy quarks in the framework of the relativistic quark model based on the quasipotential approach and QCD. The diquark-antidiquark picture of heavy tetraquarks is used. The quasipotentials of the quark-quark and diquark-antidiquark interactions are constructed similarly to the previous consideration of mesons and baryons. Diquarks are considered in the colour triplet state. It is assumed that the diquark and antidiquark interact in the tetraquark as a whole and the internal structure of the diquarks is taken i…
Considering four-point correlation functions of color-singlet quark bilinears, we investigate, in the large-$N_{\mathrm{c}}$ limit of QCD, the subleading diagrams that involve, in the $s$-channel of meson-meson scattering amplitudes, two-quark--two-antiquark intermediate states. The latter contribute, together with gluon exchanges, to the formation, at the hadronic level, of two-meson and tetraquark intermediate states. It is shown that the two-meson contributions, which are predictable, in general, from leading-order $N_{\mathrm{c}}$-behaviors, consistently satisfy the constraints resulting f…
In this note we collect and summarize the predictions of the Holography Inspired Stringy Hadron (HISH) model. We list the masses and widths of predicted excited states across the spectrum, based on placing the different hadrons on the non-linear Regge trajectories of a string with massive endpoints. Our predicted states include: (i) Light, heavy-light and heavy-heavy mesons. (ii) Baryons, including charmed, doubly charmed and bottom baryons. (iii) Glueballs, together with a method to disentangle them from flavorless mesons. (iv) Genuine tetraquarks, which are not "molecules" of hadrons, and ar…
In the paper we discuss contribution of the doubly intrinsic heavy mechanism into the production of $B_c$ meson, the doubly heavy baryons and the all-charm tetraquark at a future fixed-target experiment at the LHC (AFTER@LHC). The production cross sections and the mean values of Feynman-x for the finale states are presented.
We consider the interplay of the pentaquark states and strange tetraquark states in the decay $Λ^0_b\to K^-J/ψp$. Possible existence of ($cs\bar c\bar u$)-states is taken up and their manifestation in the $K^-J/ψ$-channel is discussed. It is emphasised that these exotic mesons can imitate broad bumps in the in the $pJ/ψ$-channel.
Masses of the ground state light tetraquarks are dynamically calculated in the framework of the relativistic diquark-antidiquark picture. The internal structure of the diquark is taken into account by calculating the form factor of the diquark-gluon interaction in terms of the overlap integral of the diquark wave functions. It is found that scalar mesons with masses below 1 GeV: f_0(600) (σ), K^*_0(800) (κ), f_0(980) and a_0(980) agree well with the light tetraquark interpretation.
The article is devoted to double J/psi-meson production at LHC. Theoretical predictions for pp -> 2J/psi+X cross section at sqrt{s}=7 TeV for different kinematical restrictions are presented. Special attention is payed to possible contribution of novel particles -- tetraquarks build from four c-quarks. According to presented in our article estimates, it is quietly possible to observe at least one of these state (tensor meson) experimentally.
Searches for tetraquarks and mesonic molecules in lattice QCD are briefly reviewed. In the light quark sector the most serious candidates are the lightest scalar resonances sigma, kappa, a0 and f0. In the hidden-charm sector I discuss lattice simulations of X(3872), Y(4260), Y(4140) and Z^+(4430). The most serious challenge in all these lattice studies is the presence of scattering states in addition to possible tetraquark/molecular states. The available methods for distinguishing both are reviewed and the main conclusions of the simulations are presented.
Masses of the ground and excited (1P, 2S, 1D, 2P, 3S) states of the fully-heavy tetraquarks, composed of charm ($c$) and bottom ($b$) quarks and antiquarks, are calculated in the diquark-antidiquark picture within the relativistic quark model based on the quasipotential approach and quantum chromodynamics. The quasipotentials of the quark-quark and diquark-antidiquark interactions are constructed similarly to the previous consideration of mesons and baryons. Relativistic effects are consistently taken into account. A tetraquark is considered as a bound state of a diquark and an antidiquark. Th…
We study the lowest-lying scalar mesons in the QCD sum rule by considering them as tetraquark states. We find that there are five independent currents for each state with a certain flavor structure. By forming linear combinations, we find that some mixed currents give reliable QCD sum rules. Among various tetraquark currents, we consider those which are constructed by the diquarks having anti-symmetric and symmetric flavor structures. That the results of the QCD sum rule derived from the two types of currents are similar suggests that the tetraquark states can have a large mixing between diffe…
In this article, we take the scalar diquarks as point particles and describe them as basic quantum fields, then introduce the SU(3) color gauge interaction and new vacuum condensates to study the nonet scalar mesons as tetraquark states with the QCD sum rules. Comparing with the conventional quark currents, the diquark currents have the outstanding advantage to satisfy the two criteria of the QCD sum rules more easily.
The LHCb Collaboration has reported resonant activity in the channel $D^+ K^-$, identifying two components: $X_0(2900)$ with $J^P = 0^+$ at $2866 {\pm} 7$ MeV, $Γ_0=57{\pm} 13$ MeV and $X_1(2900)$ with $J^P = 1^-$ at $2904 {\pm} 7$ MeV, $Γ_1=110{\pm} 12$ MeV. We interpret the $X_0(2900)$ component as a $cs \bar u\bar d$ isosinglet compact tetraquark, calculating its mass to be $2863 {\pm} 12$ MeV. This is the first exotic hadron with open heavy flavor. The analogous $bs\bar u\bar d$ tetraquark is predicted at $6213 {\pm} 12$ MeV. We discuss possible interpretations of the heavier and wider $X_…
Discussing four-point Green functions of bilinear quark currents in large-$N_c$ QCD, we formulate rigorous criteria for selecting diagrams appropriate for the analysis of potential tetraquark poles. We find that both flavor-exotic and cryptoexotic (i.e., flavor-nonexotic) tetraquarks, if such poles exist, have a width of order $O(1/N_c^2)$, so they are parametrically narrower compared to the ordinary $\bar qq$ mesons, which have a width of order $O(1/N_c)$. Moreover, for flavor-exotic states, the consistency of the large-$N_c$ behavior of "direct" and "recombination" Green functions requires t…
We present a numerical solution of the four-quark Bethe-Salpeter equation for ground-state scalar tetraquarks with J^PC = 0^++. We find that the four-body equation dynamically generates pseudoscalar-meson poles in the Bethe-Salpeter amplitude. The resulting tetraquarks are genuine four-quark states that are dominated by pseudoscalar meson-meson correlations. Diquark-antidiquark contributions are subleading because of their larger mass scale. In the light quark sector, the sensitivity of the tetraquark wave function to the pion poles leads to an isoscalar tetraquark mass M_sigma ~ 350 MeV which…
The masses of the heavy tetraquarks with open charm and bottom are calculated within the diquark-antidiquark picture in the framework of the relativistic quark model. The dynamics of the light quarks and diquarks is treated completely relativistically. The diquark structure is taken into account by calculating the diquark-gluon form factor. New experimental data on charmed and charmed-strange mesons are discussed. Our results indicate that the anomalous scalar D_{s0}^*(2317) and axial vector D_{s1}(2460) mesons could not be considered as diquark-antidiquark bound states. On the other hand, D_s…
We investigate a nonrelativistic model of tetraquarks, which are assumed to be compact and to consist of diquark-antidiquark pairs. We fit, for the first time, basically all currently known values for the measured masses of 45 mesons, including both charmed and bottom mesons, to the model and predict masses of tetraquarks as well as diquarks. In particular, we find masses of four axial-vector diquarks, i.e., $qc$, $cc$, $qb$, and $bb$, where $q = u,d$, and 24 ground-state tetraquarks, including both heavy-light tetraquarks ($qc\overline{qc}$ and $qb\overline{qb}$) and heavy tetraquarks ($cc\ov…
By means of unitarized Chiral Perturbation Theory it is possible to obtain a remarkable description of meson-meson scattering amplitudes up to 1.2 GeV, and generate poles associated to scalar and vector resonances. Since Chiral Perturbation Theory is the QCD low energy effective theory, it is possible then to study its large Nc limit where qqbar states are easily identified. The vectors thus generated follow closely a qqbar behavior, whereas the light scalar poles follow the large Nc behavior expected for a dominant tetraquark or two-meson structure.
We compare two frequently discussed competing structures for a stable $\bar b \bar b u d$ tetraquark with quantum numbers $I(J^P) = 0(1^+)$ by considering a meson-meson as well as a diquark-antidiquark creation operator. We treat the heavy antiquarks as static with fixed positions and find diquark-antidiquark dominance for $\bar b \bar b$ separations $r < 0.2 \, \text{fm}$, while for $r > 0.5 \, \text{fm}$ the system essentially corresponds to a pair of $B$ mesons. For the meson-meson to diquark-antidiquark ratio of the tetraquark we obtain around $58\%/42\%$.
The study of two-pseudoscalar and two-photon decays for the scalar meson nonet below 1 GeV is performed within an effective approach in which the scalar resonances are described as (Jaffe's) tetraquark states. The dominant (fall apart decay) and the subdominant (one transverse gluon as intermediate state) decay amplitudes are systematically taken into account. The latter improves the agreement with the experimental data. Possible scenarios concerning the scalar-isoscalar mixing are discussed.
A classification of tetraquark states in terms of the spin-flavour, colour and spatial degrees of freedom has been constructed. The permutational symmetry properties of both the spin-flavour and orbital parts of the quark-quark and antiquark-antiquark subsystems are briefly discussed. This classification is useful both for model-builders and experimentalists. An evaluation of the tetraquark spectrum is obtained from a Iachello mass formula for tetraquark systems. The ground state tetraquark nonet is identified with $f_{0}(600)$, $κ(800)$, $f_{0}(980)$, $a_{0}(980)$. The mass splittings predict…
Following Weinberg's argument that narrow tetraquark mesons are not precluded in large N_c QCD, we explore the flow of N_c factors needed for the consistency of this picture, and show that they must arise in a novel way, not simply through the usual combinatoric counting.
Recently, the tetraquark mixing framework has been proposed as a possible structure for the two light-meson nonets in the $J^P=0^+$ channel, the light nonet composed of $a_0(980)$, $K_0^*(700)$, $f_0(500)$, $f_0(980)$, and the heavy nonet of $a_0(1450)$, $K_0^*(1430)$, $f_0(1370)$, $f_0(1500)$. Among various signatures, we report in this work that their partial decay widths collected from various experimental data in Particle Data Group (PDG) can support this mixing scheme also. In particular, we demonstrate that the couplings of the light nonet to two pseudoscalar mesons estimated from the pa…
In recent years, the existence of a hadronically stable $\bar{b} \bar{b} u d$ tetraquark with quantum numbers $I(J^P) = 0(1^+)$ was confirmed by first principles lattice QCD computations. In this work we use lattice QCD to compare two frequently discussed competing structures for this tetraquark by considering meson-meson as well as diquark-antidiquark creation operators. We use the static-light approximation, where the two $\bar{b}$ quarks are assumed to be infinitely heavy with frozen positions, while the light $u$ and $d$ quarks are fully relativistic. By minimizing effective energies and b…
A review is presented of some discussions about the fully-heavy tetraquarks made of two charmed quarks and two anticharmed antiquarks, and other multiquark states involving some heavy flavors.
Inspired by recent measurement of possible fully charmed tetraquarks in LHCb Collaboration, we investigate the mass spectra of fully heavy tetraquarks $QQ \bar Q \bar Q$ in an extended relativized quark model. Our estimations indicate that the broad structure around 6.4 GeV should contain one or more ground $cc \bar c \bar c$ tetraquark states, while the narrow structure near 6.9 GeV can be categorized as the first radial excitation of $cc \bar c \bar c$ system. Moreover, with the wave functions of the tetraquarks and mesons, the strong decays of tetraquarks into heavy quarkonium pair are qual…
Scrutinizing the scattering of ordinary mesons in the limiting case of the number of colour degrees of freedom $N_{\rm c}$ of quantum chromodynamics approaching infinity, we formulate Feynman-diagram selection criteria and from these deduce rigorous self-consistency conditions for the manifestation of a tetraquark, a two-quark-two-antiquark bound state, as a pole in the corresponding amplitudes. Our constraints bear rather far-reaching consequences: In particular, all flavour-exotic tetraquarks, composed of four (anti)quarks of disparate flavour, must come in, at least, two variants differing …
It is argued that exotic mesons consisting of two quarks and two antiquarks are not ruled out in quantum chromodynamics with a large number $N$ of colors, as generally thought. They can come in two varieties: short-lived tetraquarks with decay rates proportional to $N$, which would be unobservable if $N$ were sufficiently large, and long-lived tetraquarks with decay rates proportional to 1/N. The $f_0(500)$ and $f_0(980)$ may be examples of these two varieties of exotic mesons.
This talk briefly discusses the set of meson resonances discovered in the latest decade. They are frequently treated in the literature as tetraquarks or hadron molecules. Our consideration (using the energy-time uncertainty relation) suggests, however, that the most reasonable description for each of them may be a two- (or more-) component Fock column, with one line being a conventional quark-antiquark pair, and the other line(s) corresponding to a charmed (or beauty) meson-antimeson pair near its threshold. Detailed investigation of decay properties might allow to reveal presence of several F…
We study the light scalar mesons a_0(980) and kappa using N_f = 2+1+1 flavor lattice QCD. In order to probe the internal structure of these scalar mesons, and in particular to identify, whether a sizeable tetraquark component is present, we use a large set of operators, including diquark-antidiquark, mesonic molecule and two-meson operators. The inclusion of disconnected diagrams, which are technically rather challenging, but which would allow us to extend our work to e.g. the f_0(980) meson, is introduced and discussed.
Using the QCD sum rule approach we investigate the possible four-quark structure of the recently observed mesons $D_{sJ}^{+}(2317)$, firstly observed by BaBaR, X(3872), firstly observed by BELLE and $D_0^{*0}(2308)$ observed by BELLE. We use diquark-antidiquark currents and work in full QCD, without relying on $1/m_c$ expansion. Our results indicate that a four-quark structure is acceptable for these mesons.
Energy spectrum of doubly heavy tetraquarks, $T_{QQ}$ ($QQ \bar{q} \bar{q}$ with $Q = c, b$ and $q = u, d, s$), is studied in the potential chiral-diquark model. Using the chiral effective theory of diquarks and the quark-diquark-based potential model, the $T_{bb}$, $T_{cc}$, and $T_{cb}$ tetraquarks are described as a three-body system composed of two heavy quarks and an antidiquark. We find several $T_{bb}$ bound states, while no $T_{cc}$ and $T_{cb}$ (deep) bound state is seen. We also study the change of the $T_{QQ}$ tetraquark masses under restoration of chiral symmetry.
AdS/QCD correspondence predicts the structure of quark-antiquark potential in the static limit. We use this piece of information together with the Salpeter equation (Schrödinger equation with relativistic kinematics) and a short range hyperfine splitting potential to determine quark masses and the quark potential parameters from the meson spectrum. The agreement between theory and experimental data is satisfactory provided one considers only mesons comprising at least one heavy quark. We use the same potential (in the one-gluon-exchange approximation) and these data to estimate constituent diq…
Chiral Quark Soliton Model has been successfully applied to describe heavy baryon spectrum, both for charm and bottom, leading to the conclusion that the heavy quark has no effect on the soliton. This suggests that replacing a heavy quark by a heavy anti-diquark $\bar{Q}\bar{Q}$ in color triplet should give a viable description of heavy tetraquarks. We follow this strategy to compute tetraquark masses. To estimate heavy diquark masses we use Cornell potential with appropriately rescaled parameters. The lightest charm tetraquark is 70 MeV above the $DD^*$ threshold. On the contrary, both non-st…
