We describe the preliminary results of a ground-based observing campaign aimed at building a grid of approximately 200 spectro-photometric standard stars (SPSS), with an internal $\simeq 1$\% accuracy (and sub-percent precision), tied to CALSPEC Vega and Sirius systems within $\simeq 1$\%, for the absolute flux calibration of data gathered by {\it Gaia}, the European Space Agency (ESA) astrometric mission. The criteria for the selection and a list of candidates are presented, together with a description of the survey's strategy and the adopted data analysis methods. All candidates were also monitored for constancy (within $\pm 5$ mmag, approximately). The present version of the grid contains about half of the final sample, it has already reached the target accuracy but the precision will substantially improve with future releases. It will be used to calibrate the {\it Gaia} (E)DR3 release of spectra and photometry.
We present results on two different Gaia-related topics. First, we describe our efforts to calibrate the three Gaia photometric passbands G, G_BP, and G_RP. We have built a new spectrophotometric HST/STIS library and used it to derive new sensitivity curves and zero points for the three bands, including recipes on how to correct some cases. Second, we present our results on Galactic runaway stars using Gaia DR1 proper motions: we detect 76 runaway stars, 17 (possibly 19) of them not previously identified as such.
Context. It has been shown that convection in red supergiant stars gives rise to large granules causing surface inhomogeneities together with shock waves in the photosphere. The resulting motion of the photocenter (on time scales ranging from months to years) could possibly have adverse effects on the parallax determination with Gaia. Aims. We explore the impact of the granulation on the photocentric and photometric variability. We quantify these effects in order to better characterize the error possibly altering the parallax. Methods. We use 3D radiative-hydrodynamics simulations of convectio…
We used Gaia Data Release 2 to search for upcoming photometric microlensing events, identifying two candidates with high amplification. In the case of candidate 1, a spectrum of the lens (l1) confirms it is a usdM3 subdwarf with mass $\approx 0.11 M_\odot$, while the event reaches maximum amplification of $20^{+20}_{-10}$ mmag on November 3rd 2019 ($\pm$1d). For candidate 2, the lens (l2) is a metal-poor M dwarf with mass $\approx 0.38 M_\odot$ derived from spectral energy distribution (SED) fitting, and maximum amplification of $10^{+40}_{-10}$ mmag occurs on June 3rd 2019 ($\pm$4d). This per…
Although a catalogue of synthetic RGB magnitudes, providing photometric data for a sample of 1346 bright stars, has been recently published, its usefulness is still limited due to the small number of reference stars available, considering that they are distributed throughout the whole celestial sphere, and the fact that they are restricted to Johnson V < 6.6 mag. This work presents synthetic RGB magnitudes for ~15 million stars brighter than Gaia G = 18 mag, making use of a calibration between the RGB magnitudes of the reference bright star sample and the corresponding high quality photometric…
The second Gaia data release (DR2) delivers accurate and homogeneous photometry data of the whole sky to an exquisite quality, reaching down to the unprecedented milli-magnitude (mmag) level for the G, GRP, and GBP passbands. However, the presence of magnitude-dependent systematic effects at the 10 mmag level limits its power in scientific exploitation. In this work, using about half-million stars in common with the LAMOST DR5, we apply the spectroscopy-based stellar color regression method to calibrate the Gaia G-GRP and GBP-GRP colors. With an unprecedented precision of about 1 mmag, systema…
By combining spectroscopic data from the LAMOST DR7, SDSS DR12, and corrected photometric data from the Gaia EDR3, we apply the Stellar Color Regression (SCR; Yuan et al. 2015a) method to recalibrate the SDSS Stripe 82 standard stars catalog of Ivezić et al. (2007). With a total number of about 30,000 spectroscopically targeted stars, we have mapped out the relatively large and strongly correlated photometric zero-point errors present in the catalog, $\sim$2.5 per cent in the $u$ band and $\sim$ 1 per cent in the $griz$ bands. Our study also confirms some small but significant magnitude depend…
We present criteria for the photometric selection of M-dwarfs using all-sky photometry, with a view to identifying M-dwarf candidates for inclusion in the input catalogues of upcoming all-sky surveys, including TESS and FunnelWeb. The criteria are based on Gaia, WISE and 2MASS all-sky photometry, and deliberately do not rely on astrometric information. In the lead-up to the availability of truly distance-limited samples following the release of Gaia DR2, this approach has the significant benefit of delivering a sample unbiased with regard to space velocity. Our criteria were developed by using…
We present a Bayesian method to cross-match 5,827,988 high proper motion Gaia sources ($μ>40 \ mas \ yr^{-1}$) to various photometric surveys: 2MASS, AllWISE, GALEX, RAVE, SDSS and Pan-STARRS. To efficiently associate these objects across catalogs, we develop a technique that compares the multidimensional distribution of all sources in the vicinity of each Gaia star to a reference distribution of random field stars obtained by extracting all sources in a region on the sky displaced 2$^\prime$. This offset preserves the local field stellar density and magnitude distribution allowing us to chara…
We analyzed the frequency domain of time series of simulated ZZ Ceti light-curves to investigate the detectability and period recovery performance of short period variables (periods < 2 hours) for the Gaia mission. In our analysis, first we used a non-linear ZZ Ceti light-curves simulator code to simulate the variability of ZZ Ceti stars (we assumed stationary power spectra over five years). Second we used the Gaia nominal scanning law and the expected photometric precision of Gaia to simulate ZZ Ceti time series with Gaia's time sampling and photometric errors. Then we performed a Fourier ana…
In this letter, we have carried out an independent validation of the Gaia EDR3 photometry using about 10,000 Landolt standard stars from Clem & Landolt (2013). Using a machine learning technique, the UBVRI magnitudes are converted into the Gaia magnitudes and colors and then compared to those in the EDR3, with the effect of metallicity incorporated. Our result confirms the significant improvements in the calibration process of the Gaia EDR3. Yet modest trends up to 10 mmag with G magnitude are found for all the magnitudes and colors for the 10 < G < 19 mag range, particularly for the bright an…
In this work, we use the spectroscopy-based stellar color regression (SCR) method with ~ 0.7 million common stars between LAMOST DR7 and Gaia EDR3 to acquire color corrections in G - GRP and GBP - GRP. A sub-mmag precision is achieved. Our results demonstrate that improvements in the calibration process of the EDR3 have removed the color term in GBP - GRP and eliminated the discontinuity caused by the changes of instrument configurations to a great extent. However, modest systematic trends with G magnitude are still detected. The corresponding color correction terms as a function of G are prov…
Results of comparison of Gaia DR2 parallaxes with data derived from a combined analysis of 2MASS (Two Micron All-Sky Survey), SDSS (Sloan Digital Sky Survey), GALEX (Galaxy Evolution Explorer), and UKIDSS (UKIRT Infrared Deep Sky Survey) surveys in four selected high-latitude $|b|>48^{\circ}$ sky areas are presented. It is shown that multicolor photometric data from large modern surveys can be used for parameterization of stars closer than 4400 pc and brighter than $g_{SDSS} = 19.^m6$, including estimation of parallax and interstellar extinction value. However, the stellar luminosity class sho…
Gaia Data Release 1 allows to recalibrate standard candles such as the Red Clump stars. To use those, they first need to be accurately characterised. In particular, colours are needed to derive the interstellar extinction. As no filter is available for the first Gaia data release and to avoid the atmosphere model mismatch, an empirical calibration is unavoidable. The purpose of this work is to provide the first complete and robust photometric empirical calibration of the Gaia Red Clump stars of the solar neighbourhood, through colour-colour, effective temperature-colour and absolute magnitude-…
Gaia Photometric Science Alerts (GPSA) publishes Gaia G magnitudes and Blue Photometer (BP) and Red Photometer (RP) low-resolution epoch spectra of transient events. 27 high-resolution spectra from Gaia's Radial Velocity Spectrometer (RVS) of 12 GPSAs have also been published. These 27 RVS epoch spectra are presented next to their corresponding BP and RP epoch spectra in a single place for the first time. We also present one new RVS spectrum of a 13th GPSA that could not be published by the GPSA system. Of the 13 GPSA with RVS spectra, five are photometrically classified as unknown, five as su…
We present an astrometric and photometric wide-field study of the Galactic open star cluster M37 (NGC 2099). The studied field was observed with ground-based images covering a region of about four square degrees in the Sloan-like filters ugi. We exploited the Gaia catalogue to calibrate the geometric distortion of the large field mosaics, developing software routines that can be also applied to other wide-field instruments. The data are used to identify the hottest white dwarf (WD) member candidates of M37. Thanks to the Gaia EDR3 exquisite astrometry we identified seven such WD candidates, on…
Context. On September 2016 the first data from Gaia were released (DR1). The first release included photometry for over 10^9 sources in the very broad G system. Aims. To test the correspondence between G magnitudes in DR1 and the synthetic equivalents derived using spectral energy distributions from observed and model spectrophotometry. To correct the G passband curve and to measure the zero point in the Vega system. Methods. I have computed the synthetic G and Tycho-2 BV photometry for a sample of stars using the Next Generation Spectral Library (NGSL) and the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) CAL…
The global survey of star clusters in the Milky Way (MWSC) is a comprehensive list of 3061 objects that provides, among other parameters, distances to clusters based on isochrone fitting. The Tycho-Gaia Astrometric Solution (TGAS) catalogue, which is a part of Gaia data release 1 (Gaia DR1), delivers accurate trigonometric parallax measurements for more than 2 million stars, including those in star clusters. We compare the open cluster photometric distance scale with the measurements given by the trigonometric parallaxes from TGAS to evaluate the consistency between these values. The average p…
We present the photometric calibration of the twelve optical passbands for the Javalambre Photometric Local Universe Survey (J-PLUS) third data release (DR3), comprising 1642 pointings of two square degrees each. We selected nearly 1.5 million main sequence stars with a signal-to-noise ratio larger than ten in the twelve J-PLUS passbands and available low-resolution (R = 20-80) spectrum from the blue and red photometers (BP/RP) in Gaia DR3. We compared the synthetic photometry from BP/RP spectra with the J-PLUS instrumental magnitudes, after correcting for the magnitude and color terms between…
CONTEXT: The second Gaia data release (DR2) took place on April 2018. DR2 included photometry for more than 1.3 10^9 sources in G, BP, and RP. Even though Gaia DR2 photometry is very precise, there are currently three alternative definitions of the sensitivity curves that show significative differences. AIMS: The aim of this paper is to improve the quality of the input calibration data to produce new compatible definitions of the three bands and to identify the reasons for the discrepancies between previous definitions. METHODS: We have searched the HST archive for STIS spectra with G430L+G750…
We present a study of 7 southern open clusters based on UBVRI CCD photomety (Johnsons-Cousins system) and Gaia DR2 data. Dias 4, Dias 6 and four other clusters had UBVRI photometric observations determined for the first time. From the observational UBVRI data we obtained photometric membership probability estimates and, using the proper motions from the UCAC5 catalog, we also determined the kinematic membership. From Gaia DR2 astrometric data we determine the stellar membership using proper motions and parallaxes, taking into account the full covariance matrix. For both independent sets of dat…
We present a critical review of the determination of fundamental parameters of white dwarfs discovered by the Gaia mission. We first reinterpret color-magnitude and color-color diagrams using photometric and spectroscopic information contained in the Montreal White Dwarf Database (MWDD), combined with synthetic magnitudes calculated from a self-consistent set of model atmospheres with various atmospheric compositions. The same models are then applied to measure the fundamental parameters of white dwarfs using the so-called photometric technique, which relies on the exquisite Gaia trigonometric…
We present a detailed spectroscopic and photometric analysis of DA and DB white dwarfs drawn from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey with trigonometric parallax measurements available from the Gaia mission. The temperature and mass scales obtained from fits to $ugriz$ photometry appear reasonable for both DA and DB stars, with almost identical mean masses of $\langle M \rangle = 0.617~M_\odot$ and $0.620~M_\odot$, respectively. The comparison with similar results obtained from spectroscopy reveals several problems with our model spectra for both pure hydrogen and pure helium compositions. In particu…
Close binary interactions perform a key role in the formation and shaping of planetary nebulae. However only a small fraction of Galactic planetary nebulae are known to host close binary systems. Many such systems are detectable through photometric variability. We searched recently published epoch photometry data from Gaia DR3 for planetary nebula central stars with periodic photometric variability indicative of binarity, uncovering four previously unknown close binaries.
The International Liquid Mirror Telescope (ILMT) is a 4-meter class survey telescope that has recently achieved first light and is expected to swing into full operations by 1st January 2023. It scans the sky in a fixed 22' wide strip centered at the declination of $+29^o21'41''$ and works in Time Delay Integration (TDI) mode. We present a full catalog of sources in the ILMT strip that can serve as astrometric calibrators. The characteristics of the sources for astrometric calibration are extracted from Gaia EDR3 as it provides a very precise measurement of astrometric properties such as RA ($α…
Gaia19fct is one of the Gaia-alerted eruptive young stars that has undergone several brightening events. We conducted monitoring observations using multi-filter optical and near-infrared photometry, as well as near-infrared spectroscopy, to understand the physical properties of Gaia19fct and investigate whether it fits into the historically defined two classes. We present the analyses of light curves, color variations, spectral lines, and CO modeling. The light curves show at least five brightening events since 2015, and the multi-filter color evolutions are mostly gray. The gray evolution ind…
The measurement of the positions, distances, motions and luminosities of stars represents the foundations of modern astronomical knowledge. Launched at the end of the eighties, the ESA Hipparcos satellite was the first space mission dedicated to such measurements. Hipparcos improved position accuracies by a factor of 100 compared to typical ground-based results and provided astrometric and photometric multi-epoch observations of 118,000 stars over the entire sky. The impact of Hipparcos on astrophysics has been extremely valuable and diverse. Building on this important European success, the ES…
Context: The current sample of known brown dwarfs (BDs) around FGK-stars is only of the order of a hundred. The ongoing ESA mission Gaia has already collected its nominal 5 yr of mission data and might operate up to 10 yr. Aims: Using detailed simulations, we estimate the number of BDs that could be discovered by Gaia astrometry, radial velocity, and photometric transits around main sequence (V) and subgiants (IV) FGK host stars for a 5 and 10-yr mission. Methods: Using a robust $Δχ^2$ statistic we analyse the BD companion detectability from the Besançon Galaxy population synthesis model compl…
We present Johnson-Kron-Cousins BVRI photometry of 228 candidate spectrophotometric standard stars for the external (absolute) flux calibration of Gaia data. The data were gathered as part of a ten-year observing campaign with the goal of building the external grid of flux standards for Gaia and we obtained absolute photometry, relative photometry for constancy monitoring, and spectrophotometry. Preliminary releases of the flux tables were used to calibrate the first two Gaia releases. This paper focuses on the imaging frames observed in good sky conditions (about 9100). The photometry will be…
We present a catalogue of 551,214 main-sequence stars in the local ($d < 2$ kpc) Galactic thick disk and halo, based on a search of stars with large proper motions ($μ_{\mathrm{tot}} > 40.0$ mas/yr) in the Gaia Early Data Release 3. We derive photometric metallicity calibrated from the colour-luminosity-metallicity distribution of 20,047 stars with spectroscopic metallicities, collected from various spectroscopic surveys, including SDSS SEGUE/APOGEE, GALAH DR3, and LAMOST DR6. We combine these results to construct an empirical colour-magnitude-metallicity grid, which can be used to estimate ph…
We present a comprehensive analysis of DB white dwarfs drawn from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, based on model fits to $ugriz$ photometry and medium resolution spectroscopy from the SDSS. We also take advantage of the exquisite trigonometric parallax measurements recently obtained by the Gaia mission. Using the so-called photometric and spectroscopic techniques, we measure the atmospheric and physical parameters of each object in our sample ($T_{\rm eff}$, $\log g$, H/He, Ca/He, $R$, $M$), and compare the values obtained from both techniques in order to assess the precision and accuracy of eac…
Convection plays an essential role in the emerging intensity for many stars that will be observed by Gaia. Convective-related surface structures affect the shape, shift, and asymmetry of absorption lines, the phocentric and photometric variability causing bias in Gaia measurements. Regarding the importance of Gaia mission and its goals, it is mandatory to have the best models of the observed stars. 3D time-dependent hydrodynamical simulations of surface convection are crucial to model the photosphere of late type stars in a very realistic way. These simulations are an important tool to correct…
As one of the best ground-based photometric dataset, Pan-STARRS1 (PS1) has been widely used as the reference to calibrate other surveys. In this work, we present an independent validation and re-calibration of the PS1 photometry using spectroscopic data from the LAMOST DR7 and photometric data from the corrected Gaia EDR3 with the Stellar Color Regression (SCR) method. Using per band typically a total of 1.5 million LAMOST-PS1-Gaia stars as standards, we show that the PS1 photometric calibration precisions in the $grizy$ filters are around $4\sim 5$ mmag when averaged over $20'$ regions. Howev…
CONTEXT. 2MASS is the reference survey in the NIR part of the spectrum given its whole-sky coverage, large dynamic range, and proven calibration uniformity. However, previous studies disagree in the value of the zero points (ZPs) for its three bands JHK at the hundredth of a magnitude level. The disagreement should become more noticeable now that Gaia provides whole-sky optical photometry calibrated below that level. AIMS. We want to establish the value of the 2MASS ZPs based on NICMOS/HST spectrophotometry of the CALSPEC standard stars and test it with the help of Gaia DR2 parallaxes. METHODS…
Gaia benchmark stars are selected to be calibration stars for different spectroscopic surveys. Very high-quality and homogeneous spectroscopic data for these stars are therefore required. We collected ultrahigh-resolution ESPRESSO spectra for 30 of the 34 Gaia benchmark stars and made them public. We quantify the consistency of the results that are obtained with different high-, and ultrahigh-resolution spectrographs. We also comprehensively studied the effect of using different spectral reduction products of ESPRESSO on the final spectroscopic results. We used ultrahigh- and high-resolution s…
The Gaia satellite, to be launched in 2012, will offer an unprecedented survey of the whole sky down to magnitude 20. The multi-epoch nature of the mission provides a unique opportunity to study variable sources with their astrometric, photometric, spectro-photometric and radial velocity measurements. Many tens of millions of classical variable objects are expected to be detected, mostly stars but also QSOs and asteroids. The high number of objects observed by Gaia will enable statistical studies of populations of variable sources and of their properties. But Gaia will also allow the study of …
Young stars show variability on different time-scales from hours to decades, with a range of amplitudes. We studied two young stars, which triggered the Gaia Science Alerts system due to brightenings on a time-scale of a year. Gaia20bwa brightened by about half a magnitude, whereas Gaia20fgx brightened by about two and half magnitudes. We analyzed the Gaia light curves, additional photometry, and spectra taken with the Telescopio Nazionale Galileo and the Gran Telescopio Canarias. Several emission lines were detected toward Gaia20bwa, including hydrogen lines from H$α$ to H$δ$, Pa$β$, Br$γ$, a…
We combine LAMOST DR7 spectroscopic data and Gaia EDR3 photometric data to construct high-quality giant (0.7 $< (BP-RP) <$ 1.4) and dwarf (0.5 $< (BP-RP) < $ 1.5) samples in the high Galactic latitude region, with precise corrections for magnitude-dependent systematic errors in the Gaia photometry and careful reddening corrections using empirically determined color- and reddening-dependent coefficients. We use the two samples to build metallicity-dependent stellar loci of Gaia colors for giants and dwarfs, respectively. For a given $(BP-RP)$ color, a one dex change in [Fe/H] results in about a…
Multiple stellar systems are ubiquitous in the Milky Way, but are often unresolved and seen as single objects in spectroscopic, photometric, and astrometric surveys. Yet, modeling them is essential for developing a full understanding of large surveys such as Gaia, and connecting them to stellar and Galactic models. In this paper we address this problem by jointly fitting the Gaia and 2MASS photometric and astrometric data using a data-driven Bayesian hierarchical model that includes populations of binary and trinary systems. This allows us to classify observations into singles, binaries, and t…
Besides the astrometric mission of the Gaia satellite, its repeated and high-precision measurements serve also as an all-sky photometric transient survey. The sudden brightenings of the sources are published as Gaia Photometric Science Alerts and are made publicly available allowing the community to photometrically and spectroscopically follow-up the object. The goal of this paper was to analyze the nature and derive the basic parameters of Gaia18aen, transient detected at the beginning of 2018. It coincides with the position of the emission line star WRAY 15-136. The brightening was classifie…
We present a new extended and detailed set of models for Classical Cepheid pulsators at solar chemical composition ($Z=0.02$, $Y=0.28$) based on a well tested nonlinear hydrodynamical approach. In order to model the possible dependence on crucial assumptions such as the Mass-Luminosity relation of central Helium burning intermediate-mass stars or the efficiency of superadiabatic convection, the model set was computed by varying not only the pulsation mode and the stellar mass but also the Mass-Luminosity relation and the mixing length parameter that is used to close the system of nonlinear hyd…
(abridged) NGC6530 is a young cluster with a complex morphology and star-formation history. We present a statistical study of its global properties using a new large list of candidate members down to masses of 0.2-0.4 Msun and Gaia DR2 astrometry. We consider a wider sky region compared to previous studies, to investigate the whole cluster and its neighborhood. We study the distribution of extinction and age across the different regions, and obtain constraints on the star-formation history. Cluster membership is determined on the basis of X-ray data, H-alpha emission, near-IR and UV excesses f…
Limb darkening is an important stellar phenomenon and must be accounted for in the study of stellar spectra, eclipsing binaries, transiting planetary systems, and microlensing events. The power-2 limb-darkening law provides a good match to the specific intensities predicted by stellar atmosphere models: it is better than other two-parameter laws and is only surpassed by the four-parameter law. Predictions of the limb-darkening coefficients for the power-2 law are not widely available. We therefore compute them, using stellar atmosphere models generated by the ATLAS (plane-parallel) code. Limb-…
(Shortened). In the era of large surveys and space missions, it is necessary to rely on large samples of well-characterized stars for inter-calibrating and comparing measurements from different sources. Among the most employed photometric systems, the Johnson-Kron-Cousins has been used for decades and for a large amount of important datasets. Using Gaia DR3 as a reference, as well as data from reddening maps, spectroscopic surveys, and variable stars monitoring surveys, we curated and characterized the widely used Landolt and Stetson collections of more than 200 000 secondary standards, removi…
There are 88 stars which lack colours, but have measured parallaxes in \textit{Gaia} EDR3 that place them within 20\,pc from the sun. Among them we found two new common parallax and proper motion (CPPM) companions separated from their primaries by about 3\,arcsec. The CPPM companion of a nearby ($d=14.98$\,pc) F1 star, \object{HD 105452 B}, was already imaged with the \textit{Hubble Space Telescope} and is now confirmed with \textit{Gaia} data and photometrically classified by us as M4 dwarf. The other CPPM companion, \object{SCR J1214-2345 B} orbiting an M4.5 dwarf at $d=10.77$\,pc, represent…
Hot subdwarf stars are mostly stripped red giants that can exhibit photometric variations due to stellar pulsations, eclipses, the reflection effect, ellipsoidal modulation, and Doppler beaming. Detailed studies of their light curves help constrain stellar parameters through asteroseismological analyses or binary light curve modeling and generally improve our capacity to draw a statistically meaningful picture of this enigmatic stage of stellar evolution. From an analysis of Gaia DR2 flux errors, we have identified around 1200 candidate hot subdwarfs with inflated flux errors for their magnitu…
The Gaia catalogue of nearby stars (GCNS) divided all objects with parallaxes $>$10mas into GCNS-selected and GCNS-rejected 100pc samples. Below the white dwarf (WD) sequence in the complete GCNS color-magnitude diagram (CMD), at $Gabs>14.7+4.7(G-RP)$, there appear 60 GCNS-selected faint blue white dwarfs (FBWDs). However this CMD region is also populated by 411 GCNS-rejected objects, mainly from crowded regions towards the Galactic centre and the Magellanic Clouds. The WD catalog of Gentile Fusillo et al. (2021) lists only 47 GCNS-selected but also 8 GCNS-rejected objects. I confirm 59 of the…

We present a sample of 135,873 RR Lyrae stars (RRLs) with precise photometric-metallicity and distance estimates from our newly calibrated $P-ϕ_{31}-R_{21}-$[Fe/H]/$P-R_{21}-$[Fe/H] and $G$ band absolute magnitude-metallicity relations. The $P-ϕ_{31}-R_{21}-$[Fe/H] and $P-R_{21}-$[Fe/H] relations for type RRab and type RRc stars are obtained from nearly 2700 Gaia-identified RRLs with precise $ϕ_{31}$ and $R_{21}$ measurements from the light curves and metallicity estimates from spectroscopy. Using 236 nearby RRLs with accurate distances estimated from parallax measurements with Gaia EDR3, new …
We analysed the open clusters Czernik 2 and NGC 7654 using CCD UBV photometric and Gaia Early Data Release 3 (EDR3) photometric and astrometric data. Structural parameters of the two clusters were derived, including the physical sizes of Czernik 2 being r=5 and NGC 7654 as 8 min. We calculated membership probabilities of stars based on their proper motion components as released in the Gaia EDR3. To identify member stars of the clusters, we used these membership probabilities taking into account location and the impact of binarity on main-sequence stars. We used membership probabilities higher …
