Recently, the Belle Collaboration has updated the analysis of the cross sections for the processes $e^+ e^- \to Υ(nS)\, π^+ π^-$ ($n = 1,\, 2,\, 3$) in the $e^+ e^-$ center-of-mass energy range from 10.52 to 11.02~GeV. A new structure, called $Y_b (10750)$, with the mass $M (Y_b) = (10752.7 \pm 5.9^{+0.7}_{-1.1})$~MeV and the Breit-Wigner width $Γ(Y_b) = (35.5^{+17.6 +3.9}_{-11.3 -3.3})$~MeV was observed. We interpret $Y_b (10750)$ as a compact $J^{PC} = 1^{--}$ state with a dominant tetraquark component. The mass eigenstate $Y_b (10750)$ is treated as a linear combination of the diquark-antidiquark and $b \bar b$ components due to the mixing via gluonic exchanges shown recently to arise in the limit of large number of quark colors. The mixing angle between $Y_b$ and $Υ(5S)$ can be estimated from the electronic width, recently determined to be $Γ_{ee} (Y_b) = (13.7 \pm 1.8)$~eV. The mixing provides a plausible mechanism for $Y_b (10750)$ production in high energy collisions from its $b \bar b$ component and we work out the Drell-Yan and prompt production cross sections for $p p \to Y_b (10750) \to Υ(nS)\, π^+ π^-$ at the LHC. The resonant part of the dipion invariant mass spectrum in $Y_b (10750) \to Υ(1S)\, π^+ π^-$ and the corresponding angular distribution of $π^+$-meson in the dipion rest frame are presented.
We analyze the Belle data [K. F. Chen {\it et al.} (Belle Collaboration), Phys.\ Rev.\ Lett.\ {\bf 100}, 112001 (2008); I. Adachi {\it et al.} (Belle Collaboration), arXiv:0808.2445] on the processes $e^+ e^- \to Υ(1S)\; π^+π^-, Υ(2S)\; π^+π^-$ near the peak of the $Υ(5S)$ resonance, which are found to be anomalously large in rates compared to similar dipion transitions between the lower $Υ$ resonances. Assuming these final states arise from the production and decays of the $J^{PC}=1^{--}$ state $Y_b(10890)$, which we interpret as a bound (diquark-antidiquark) tetraquark state $[bq][\bar{b}\ba…
We summarize the main features of the spectroscopy, production and decays of the $J^{PC}=1^{--}$ tetraquarks in the $b\bar{b}$ sector, concentrating on the lowest state called $Y_b(10890)$. The tetraquark framework is used to analyze the BaBar data on the $e^+ e^- \to b\bar{b}$ cross section ($R_b$ energy scan) between $\sqrt{s}= 10.54$ and 11.20 GeV and the Belle data on the processes $e^+e^- \to Υ(1S) π^+π^-,Υ(2S) π^+π^-$ near the peak of the $Υ(5S)$ resonance. The BaBar $R_b$ energy scan is consistent with an additional state at a mass of 10.90 GeV and a width of about 28 MeV, in broad agre…
Recent data from Belle show unusually large partial widths Upsilon(5S) --> Upsilon(1S) pi^+pi^- and Υ(5S) --> Υ(2S) pi^+ pi^-. The Z(4430) narrow resonance also reported by Belle in psi' pi^+ spectrum has the properties expected of a (cbar c u dbar) charged isovector tetraquark T^{+-}_cc The analogous state T^{+-} in the bottom sector might mediate anomalously large cascade decays in the Upsilon system, Upsilon(mS) --> T^{+-}_bb pi^{-+} --> Upsilon(nS) pi^+ π^-, with a tetraquark-pion intermediate state. We suggest looking for the (bbar b u dbar) tetraquark in these decays as peaks in the inva…
We calculate the cross sections and final state distributions for the processes e^+ e^- --> Upsilon(1S) (pi^+ pi^-, K^+ K^-, eta pi^0) near the Upsilon(5S) resonance based on the tetraquark hypothesis. This framework is used to analyse the data on the Upsilon(1S) pi^+ pi^- and Upsilon(1S) K^+ K^- final states [K.F. Chen et al. (Belle Collaboration), Phys. Rev. Lett. 100, 112001 (2008); I. Adachi et al. (Belle Collaboration), arXiv:0808.2445], yielding good fits. Dimeson invariant mass spectra in these processes are shown to be dominated by the corresponding light scalar and tensor states. The …
We propose a search for the newly discovered tetraquark candidate Z(4430) in photoproduction. Based on the Belle results we show that if Z(4430) is a genuine resonance, its significantly large coupling to $ψ^\primeπ$ will cause it to stand out above the background in $γp\to Z^+(4430) n\to ψ^\prime π^+ n$. We consider the dependence of the cross section for the quantum numbers ($J^{P}=1^{-}$, $1^{+}$ or $0^{-}$).
Motivated by the Belle Collaboration's new observation of $Y(4626)$, we investigate the possibility of its configuration as a $P$-wave $[cs][\bar{c}\bar{s}]$ tetraquark state from QCD sum rules. Eventually, the extracted mass $4.60^{+0.13}_{-0.19}~\mbox{GeV}$ for the $P$-wave $cs$-scalar-diquark $\bar{c}\bar{s}$-scalar-antidiquark state agrees well with the experimental data of $Y(4626)$, which could support its interpretation as a $P$-wave scalar-scalar $[cs][\bar{c}\bar{s}]$ tetraquark state.
We present a tetraquark interpretation of the charged bottomonium-like states Z+-_b(10610) and Z+-_b(10650), observed by the Belle collaboration in the pi+- Upsilon(nS) (n=1,2,3) and pi+- h_b(mP) (m=1,2) invariant mass spectra from the data taken near the peak of the Upsilon(5S). In this framework, the underlying processes involve the production and decays of a vector tetraquark Y_b(10890), e+e- --> Y_b(10890) --> [Z+-_b(10610)pi-+, Z+-_b(10650)pi-+] followed by the decays [Z+-_b (10610), Z+-_b (10650)] --> pi+- Upsilon(nS), pi+- h_b(mP). Combining the contributions from the meson loops and an…
Using the QCD sum rule approach we investigate the possible four-quark structure of the recently observed mesons $D_{sJ}^{+}(2317)$, firstly observed by BaBaR, X(3872), firstly observed by BELLE and $D_0^{*0}(2308)$ observed by BELLE. We use diquark-antidiquark currents and work in full QCD, without relying on $1/m_c$ expansion. Our results indicate that a four-quark structure is acceptable for these mesons.
Inspired by the recent discovery of the $X(6900)$ meson at {\tt LHCb} experiment, we investigate the inclusive production rate of the $C$-odd fully-charmed tetraquarks associated with light hadrons at the $B$ factory within the nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization framework. The short-distance coefficient is computed at lowest order in velocity and $α_s$. Employing the diquark-antidiquark model to roughly estimate the long-distance NRQCD matrix elements, we predict the rate for inclusive production of the $1^{+-}$ $T_{4c}$ state and discuss the observation prospects at {\tt Belle 2} exper…
A theoretical overview of the exotic spectroscopy in the charm and beauty quark sector is presented. These states are unexpected harvest from the $e^+e^-$ and hadron colliders and a permanent abode for the majority of them has yet to be found. We argue that some of these states, in particular the $Y_b(10890)$ and the recently discovered states $Z_b(10610)$ and $Z_b(10650)$, discovered by the Belle collaboration are excellent candidates for tetraquark states $[bq][\bar{b}\bar{q}]$, with $q=u,d$ light quarks. Theoretical analyes of the Belle data carried out in the tetraquark context is reviewed…
By using QCD Sum Rules, we found that the charged hidden charm tetraquark $[c u][\bar{c} \bar{d}]$ states with $ J^P = 1^-$ and $ 2^+$, which are possible quantum numbers of the newly observed charmonium-like resonance $Z_c(4025)$, have masses of $m_{1^-}^c = (4.54 \pm 0.20) \, \text{GeV}$ and $m_{2^+}^c = (4.04 \pm 0.19) \, \text{GeV}$. The contributions up to dimension eight in the Operator Product Expansion (OPE) were taken into account in the calculation. The tetraquark mass of $J^{P} = 2^{+}$ state was consistent with the experimental data of $Z_c(4025)$, suggesting the $Z_c(4025)$ state …
Many of the $XYZ$ resonances observed by the Belle, Babar, CLEO and BESIII collaborations in the past decade are difficult to interpret as conventional quark-antiquark mesons, motivating the consideration of scenarios such as multi-quark states, meson molecules, and hybrids. After a brief introduction to QCD sum-rule methods, we provide a brief but comprehensive review of the mass spectra of the quarkonium-like tetraquark states $qQ\bar q\bar Q$, doubly charmed/bottomed tetraquark states $QQ\bar q\bar q$ and the heavy quarkonium hybrid states $\bar QGQ$ in the QCD sum rules approach. Possible …
We apply the newly developed NRQCD factorization formula to analyze the exclusive production of the fully-charmed tetraquark $T_{4c}$ plus a hard photon at $B$ factory. For simplicity, in this work we have concentrated on the associated production of the $0^{++}$ and $2^{++}$ tetraquarks with a photon. With some rough estimates about the size of the unknown nonperturbative NRQCD matrix elements, we predict the production rates of these types of exclusive channels at $\sqrt{s}=10.6$ GeV and also assess their observation prospect at {\tt Belle 2} experiment.
In the present work, we construct the color-singlet-color-singlet type four-quark currents to investigate the $D_s\bar{D}_{s1}$ and $D_s^*\bar{D}_{s0}^*$ tetraquark molecular states with the $J^{PC}=1^{--}$ and $1^{-+}$ via the QCD sum rules, and obtain satisfactory results. We can search for the $D_s\bar{D}_{s1}$ and $D_s^*\bar{D}_{s0}^*$ tetraquark molecular states with the $J^{PC}=1^{--}$ and $1^{-+}$ at the BESIII and Belle II in the future.
We study the possible tetraquark interpretation of light scalar meson states $a_0(980)$, $f_0(980)$, $κ$, $σ$ within the framework of the non-relativistic potential model. The wave functions of tetraquark states are obtained in a space spanned by multiple Gaussian functions. We find that the mass spectra of the light scalar mesons can be well accommodated in the tetraquark picture if we introduce a three-body quark interaction in the quark model. Using the obtained multiple Gaussian wave functions, the decay constants of tetraquarks are also calculated within the ``fall apart'' mechanism.
In the framework of the quark delocalization color screening model (QDCSM), we systematically investigate the double-charm and double-strange tetraquark systems $cc\bar{s}\bar{s}$ with two structures: meson-meson and diquark-antidiquark. The bound-state calculation shows that there is no any bound state in present work. However, by applying a stabilization calculation and coupling all channels of both two structures, two new resonance states with $IJ^{P}=00^{+}$ are obtained. One is more possible to be a molecular resonance state with a mass and width around $4256$ MeV and $60$ MeV, respective…
Recent observations by Belle and BESIII of charged quarkonium-like resonances give new stimulus for theoretical investigation of exotic hadrons in general and heavy tetraquarks in particular. We use QED_2, a confining theory, as a model for the masses and decays of tetraquarks. Here we discuss the states (Q Qbar q qbar) and (Q Q qbar qbar) (and its anti-particle), where Q and q are two fermion flavors with masses M and m, so that M > m. We then discuss decay modes of these states into (Q Qqbar), (q qbar), (Q qbar), (Qbar q). It turns out that (Q Qbar q qbar) is stable, while (Q Q qbar qbar) is…
In the simple color-magnetic interaction model, we investigate possible ground $cs\bar{c}\bar{s}$ tetraquark states in the diquark-antidiquark basis. We use several methods to estimate the mass spectrum and discuss possible assignment for the $X$ states observed in the $J/ψϕ$ channel. We find that assigning the Belle $X(4350)$ as a $0^{++}$ tetraquark is consistent with the tetraquark interpretation for the $X(4140)$ and $X(4270)$ while the interpretation of the $X(4500)$ and $X(4700)$ needs orbital or radial excitation. There probably exist several tetraquarks around 4.3 GeV that decay into $…
Hadronic states composed of multi-quark flavors may exist in reality since they are not prohibited by QCD. Compact four quark systems of color singlet are classified as tetraquarks. To understand the properties of these states, more theoretical and experimental efforts are needed. In this work, we study charmed tetraquarks with three light flavors using flavor $SU(3)$ symmetry. States with three different light quarks must be in a ${\bf \bar 6 }$ or a ${\bf 15}$ multiplet. We investigate the production of charmed tetraquarks $X_c$ in $B\to X_c (\overline {X}_c) P$ and $B_c \to X_c P$ decays. W…
Belle data on gamma-gamma -> eta'-pi-pi are refitted using a broad J^{PC}=0^(-+) signal peaking in the mass range 2250-2300 MeV, but without η(1760). There is the possibility that this broad 0^(-+) signal may be identified with the 0^(-+) glueball predicted originally by Morningstar and Peardon. The X(1835) is confirmed to have a resonant phase variation.
The past decade witnessed the observation of several exotic charmonium-like resonances, some of which are manifestly non-qqbar mesons. We review one of the most popular interpretations of such states: the compact tetraquark in the constituent diquark-antidiquark picture. Moreover, we discuss some unexplored decay channels which are particularly sensitive to the different phenomenological models and could therefore shed some light on the nature of these fascinating states. Some brief comments on the recently observed pentaquarks are also included.
We discuss the likely tetraquark interpretation of the X(1576) K+ K- isovector resonance recently reported by BES with J^{PC}=1^{--}. We point out that if this interpretation as a four-quark state is correct, the (s u sbar dbar) tetraquark decays might have striking signatures. We also provide predictions for possible analogous tetraquarks involving heavy quarks - (c q cbar qbar) and (b q bbar qbar).
We provide comprehensive investigations for the mass spectrum of exotic open-flavor charmed/bottom $sq\bar q\bar c$, $qq\bar q\bar c$, $sq\bar q\bar b$, $qq\bar q\bar b$ tetraquark states with various spin-parity assignments $J^P=0^+, 1^+, 2^+$ and $0^-, 1^-$ in the framework of QCD sum rules. In the diquark configuration, we construct the diquark-antidiquark interpolating tetraquark currents using the color-antisymmetric scalar and axial-vector diquark fields. The stable mass sum rules are established in reasonable parameter working ranges, which are used to give reliable mass predictions for…
The LHCb Collaboration has reported resonant activity in the channel $D^+ K^-$, identifying two components: $X_0(2900)$ with $J^P = 0^+$ at $2866 {\pm} 7$ MeV, $Γ_0=57{\pm} 13$ MeV and $X_1(2900)$ with $J^P = 1^-$ at $2904 {\pm} 7$ MeV, $Γ_1=110{\pm} 12$ MeV. We interpret the $X_0(2900)$ component as a $cs \bar u\bar d$ isosinglet compact tetraquark, calculating its mass to be $2863 {\pm} 12$ MeV. This is the first exotic hadron with open heavy flavor. The analogous $bs\bar u\bar d$ tetraquark is predicted at $6213 {\pm} 12$ MeV. We discuss possible interpretations of the heavier and wider $X_…
Recently, the Belle Collaboration has updated the analysis of the cross sections for the processes $e^+ e^- \to Υ(nS)\, π^+ π^-$ ($n = 1,\, 2,\, 3$) in the $e^+ e^-$ center-of-mass energy range from 10.52 to 11.02 GeV. A new structure, called here $Y_b (10750)$, with the mass $M (Y_b) = (10752.7 \pm 5.9^{+0.7}_{-1.1})$ MeV and the Breit-Wigner width $Γ(Y_b) = (35.5^{+17.6 +3.9}_{-11.3 -3.3})$ MeV was observed \cite{Abdesselam:2019gth}. We interpret $Y_b (10750)$ as a compact $J^{PC} = 1^{--}$ state with a dominant tetraquark component. The mass eigenstate $Y_b (10750)$ is treated as a linear c…
Assuming the dominance of the spin-spin interaction in a diquark, we point out that the mass difference in the beauty sector M(Z_b^prime) - M(Z_b) scales with quark masses as expected in QCD, with respect to the corresponding mass difference M(Z_c^prime) - M(Z_c). Notably, we show that the decays Upsilon(10890) --> Upsilon(nS) pi pi and Upsilon(10890) --> (h_b(1P), h_b(2P)) pi pi are compatible with heavy-quark spin conservation if the contributions of Z_b,Z_b^prime intermediate states are taken into account, Upsilon(10890) being either a Upsilon(5S) or the beauty analog of Y_c(4260). Belle re…
The recently observed Y(4260) lies far above the decay threshold with a width less than 100 MeV. We argue that it's very difficult to accommodate Y(4260) as a conventional $c\bar c$ radial excitation or a D-wave state. It can't be a hadronic molecule. Its production mechanism and special decay pattern do not favor the glueball interpretation. If Y(4260) is a scalar tetraquark, it must be produced by the I=0 component of the virtual photon. Then the $I=1, I_z=0$ component of the virtual photon should have produced its isovector partner $Y^\prime (4260)$, which may be searched for in the decay c…
A search for double-heavy tetraquark state candidates $X_{cc\bar{s}\bar{s}}$ decaying to $D_{s}^{+}D_{s}^{+}$ and $D_{s}^{*+} D_{s}^{*+}$ is presented for the first time using the data samples of 102 million $Υ(1S)$ and 158 million $Υ(2S)$ events, and the data samples at $\sqrt{s}$ = 10.52~GeV, 10.58~GeV, and 10.867~GeV corresponding to integrated luminosities of 89.5~fb$^{-1}$, 711.0~fb$^{-1}$, and 121.4~fb$^{-1}$, respectively, accumulated with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy electron-positron collider. The invariant-mass spectra of the $D_{s}^{+}D_{s}^{+}$ and $D_{s}^{*+} D…
We study the spectroscopy of the states which defy conventional $c\bar{c}$ charmonium and $b\bar{b}$ bottomonium interpretation respectively, and are termed as exotic states. In August 2003 a state X(3872), was discovered [K. Abe\textit{\ et al.} (Belle Collaboration), Phys. Rev. Lett. \textbf{91}, 262001 (2003) [arXiv:hep-ex/0309032]] and in December 2007 a state Y(10890) was reported [K. F. Chen \textit{et. al.} [Belle Collaboration], Phys. Rev. Lett. \textbf{100}, 112001 (2008) [arXiv:0710.2577]. One possible interpretation of such exotic state is that they are tetraquark (diquark-antiquark…
We use a non-relativistic model to study the mass spectroscopy of a tetraquark composed by $c \, \bar{c} \, c \, \bar{c}$ quarks in the diquark-antidiquark picture. By numerically solving the Schrödinger equation with a Cornell-inspired potential, we separate the four-body problem into three two-body problems. Spin-dependent terms (spin-spin, spin-orbit and tensor) are used to describe the splitting structure of the $c\bar{c}$ spectrum and are also extended to the interaction between diquarks. Recent experimental data on charmonium states are used to fix the parameters of the model and a satis…
The mass of $P$-wave $cs$-scalar-diquark $\bar{c}\bar{s}$-scalar-antidiquark state is computed in the framework of QCD sum rules. The result $4.69\pm0.36{GeV}$ is in good agreement with the experimental value of Y(4660) but higher than Y(4260)'s, which supports the $P$-wave $[cs][\bar{c}\bar{s}]$ configuration for Y(4660) while disfavors the interpretation of Y(4260) as the $P$-wave $[cs][\bar{c}\bar{s}]$ state. In the same picture, the mass of $P$-wave $[bs][\bar{b}\bar{s}]$ is predicted to be $11.19\pm0.49 {GeV}$.
We discuss the interpretation of the $J\!/\!ψ\,J\!/\!ψ$ peak recently seen by the LHCb collaboration at CERN, and take the opportunity to review the experimental and theoretical state of the art for exotic hadrons. It is stressed that in constituent models, the states in the continuum require a dedicated treatment to single out resonances atop the continuum.
We study the spectroscopy and dominant decays of the bottomonium-like tetraquarks (bound diquarks-antidiquarks), focusing on the lowest lying P-wave $[bq][\bar{b}\bar{q}]$ states $Y_{[bq]}$ (with $q=u,d$), having $J^{PC}=1^{--}$. To search for them, we analyse the BABAR data \cite{:2008hx} obtained during an energy scan of the $e ^+ e^- \to b \bar{b}$ cross section in the range of $\sqrt{s}=10.54$ to 11.20 GeV. We find that these data are consistent with the presence of an additional $b \bar{b}$ state $Y_{[bq]}$ with a mass of 10.90 GeV and a width of about 30 MeV apart from the $Υ(5S)$ and $Υ…
Exotic resonant structures found in $Λ^0_b$ and $\overline{B}^0$ decays into charmonium in the LHCb experiment are discussed. Examination of the $J/ψp$ system in $Λ^0_b\to J/ψK^- p$ decays shows two states each of which must be composed of $uudc\overline{c}$ quarks, and thus are called charmonium pentaquarks. Their masses are $4380\pm 8\pm 29$~MeV and $4449.8\pm 1.7\pm 2.5$~MeV, and their corresponding widths ($Γ$) are $205\pm 18\pm 86$ MeV, and $39\pm 5\pm 19$ MeV. The preferred $J^P$ assignments are of opposite parity, with one state having spin 3/2 and the other 5/2. Models of internal bind…
Recently, Belle\uppercase\expandafter{\romannumeral2} Collaboration firstly reported a new resonance $ωχ_{bJ}$ in the processes of $e^{+}e^{-} \rightarrow ωχ_{bJ}$ at center-of-mass energies $\sqrt{s}=10.745$ GeV. Given the Born cross section similar with the previously reported $Υ(10753)$, the new resonance $ωχ_{bJ}$ may have be $Υ(10753)$. From the perspectives of traditional $Υ(nS)$ meson and exotic tetraquark $b\bar{q}q\bar{b}$ state with the $J^{PC}$ = $1^{--}$, we tentatively investigate the $Υ(10753)$ by solving Schrödinger equation in the framework of the chiral quark model. Numerical …
Stimulated by the state $Y(4626)$ recently reported by Belle Collaboration, we utilize a multiquark color flux-tube model with a multibody confinement potential and one-glue-exchange interaction to make an exhaustive investigation on the diquark-antidiquark state $[cs][\bar{c}\bar{s}]$. Numerical results indicate that the appearance of the states $[cs][\bar{c}\bar{s}]$ like a dumb-bell, the larger the orbital excitation $L$, the more distinguished the shape. The mixing of the color configurations $\left[[cs]_{\bar{\mathbf{3}}_c}[\bar{c}\bar{s}]_{\mathbf{3}_c}\right]_{\mathbf{1}}$ and $\left[[c…
We propose a new interpretation of the neutral and charged X, Z exotic hadron resonances. Hybridized-tetraquarks are neither purely compact tetraquark states nor bound or loosely bound molecules. The latter would require a negative or zero binding energy whose counterpart in h-tetraquarks is a positive quantity. The formation mechanism of this new class of hadrons is inspired by that of Feshbach metastable states in atomic physics. The recent claim of an exotic resonance in the Bs pi+- channel by the D0 collaboration and the negative result presented subsequently by the LHCb collaboration are …
New BES and Belle data show a peak in the Y(4260) decay into J/psi plus one charged pion. We point out that the peak might correspond to a charged resonance at about 3880 MeV predicted time ago within a tetraquark model. The same tetraquark model predicts another peak at about 100 MeV below the observed one. We discuss the possibility of having it in present data. On the other hand we expect that if the molecular picture were the correct one, a peak corresponding to a D* D*bar state should appear at about 4020 MeV.
A resonance $Y(4630)$ at the invariant mass spectrum of $Λ_c \barΛ_c$ observed by the Belle Collaboration triggers a hot discussion about its inner structure. Since it preferably decays into two charmed baryons $Λ_c\barΛ_c$, it is tempted to conjecture it as a tetraquark. Because the dominant decay portal $Y(4630)\to Λ_c \barΛ_c$ is close to the energy threshold, the final state interactions may be significant and result in other baryonic and/or mesonic final states whose branching fractions are sizable to be measured in the future experiments. In this work we calculate the branching ratios of…
In the present work, we adopt the scalar, pseudoscalar, vector, axialvector and tensor (anti)diquark operators as the elementary building blocks to construct vector and tensor local four-quark currents without introducing explicit P-waves, and explore the mass spectrum of the vector hidden-charm tetraquark states via the QCD sum rules comprehensively, and revisit the interpretations of the existing $Y$ states in the scenario of vector tetraquark states. We resort to the energy scale formula to enhance the pole contributions and improve the convergent behaviors of the operator product expansion…
A new charged state, called $Z_c(3900)$ has been recently observed by BESIII collaboration in $J/ψπ^{\pm}$ channel. The same has been confirmed by Belle (called Z(3894.5 in the Belle paper). In this short note we discuss probable interpretations of this charmonium like state which we call Z(3900).
The developments in the experimental facilities and analyses techniques have recently lead to the observation of many hadronic states ranging from excitations of conventional hadrons to various exotic states. The baryons with single heavy quark are among these states providing an attractive field of research to get a better understanding of the nonperturbative nature of the strong interaction. Recently, the Belle Collaboration announced observation of the state $Λ_c(2910)^+$ with a mass $2913.8\pm5.6\pm3.8~\mathrm{MeV}/c^2$ and width $51.8\pm20.0\pm18.8~\mathrm{MeV}$. In the present study, by …
Structure in the di-$J/ψ$ mass spectrum observed by the LHCb experiment around 6.9 and 7.2 GeV is interpreted in terms of $J^{PC}=0^{++}$ and $2^{++}$ resonances between a $cc$ diquark and a $\bar c \bar c$ antidiquark, using a recently confirmed string-junction picture to calculate tetraquark masses. The main peak around 6.9 GeV is likely dominated by the $0^{++}(2S)$ state, a radial excitation of the $cc$-$\bar c \bar c$ tetraquark, which we predict at $6.871\pm 0.025$ GeV. The dip around 6.75 GeV is ascribed to the opening of the \Swave\ di-$χ_{c0}$ channel, while the dip around 7.2 GeV cou…
Many new states in the charmonium and bottomonium mass region were recently discovered by the BaBar, Belle and CDF Collaborations. We use the QCD Sum Rule approach to study the possible structure of some of these states. In particular we identify the recently observed bottomonium-like resonance $Z_b^+(10610)$ with the first excitation of the tetraquark $X_b(1^{++})$, the analogue of the X(3872) state in the charm sector.
QCD sum-rule mass predictions for tetraquark states provide insights on the interpretations and internal structure of experimentally-observed exotic mesons. However, the overwhelming majority of tetraquark QCD sum-rule analyses have been performed at leading order (LO), which raises questions about the underlying theoretical uncertainties from higher-loop corrections. The impact of next-to-leading order (NLO) perturbative effects are systematically examined in scalar ($J^{PC}=0^{++}$) isoscalar light-quark tetraquark systems where comprehensive LO sum-rule analyses have been performed and NLO …
Very recently the LHCb Collaboration reported their observation of the first two fully open-flavor tetraquark states, the $X_0(2900)$ of $J^P = 0^+$ and the $X_1(2900)$ of $J^P = 1^-$. We study their possible interpretations using the method of QCD sum rules, paying special attention to an interesting feature of this experiment that the higher resonance $X_1(2900)$ has a width significantly larger than the lower one $X_0(2900)$. Our results suggest that the $X_0(2900)$ can be interpreted as the $S$-wave $D^{*-}K^{*+}$ molecule state of $J^P = 0^+$, and the $X_1(2900)$ can be interpreted as the…
Motivated by the latest discovery of a new tetraquark $T_{cc}^+$ with two charm quarks and two light antiquarks by LHCb Collaboration, we investigated the $DD^*$ hadronic molecule interpretation of $T_{cc}^+$. By calculation, the mass and the decay width of this new structure $T_{cc}^+$ can be understood in one-meson exchange potential model. The binding energies for these $DD^*$ hadronic molecules with $J^P=1^+$ are around $1MeV$. Besides, we also studied the possible beauty-partners $T_{bb}(10598)$ of hadronic molecule $T^+_{cc}$, which may be feasible in future LHCb experiments.
We systematically study the mass spectrum and strong decays of the S-wave $\bar c\bar s q q$ states in the compact tetraquark scenario with the quark model. The key ingredients of the model are the Coulomb, the linear confinement, and the hyperfine interactions. The hyperfine potential leads to the mixing between different color configurations, as well as the large mass splitting between the two ground states with $I(J^P)=0(0^+)$ and $I(J^P)=1(0^+)$. We calculate their strong decay amplitudes into the $\bar D^{(*)}K^{(*)}$ channels with the wave functions from the mass spectrum calculation and…
We propose that the recently observed structure at 2175MeV by the Babar Collaboration is a $1^{--}$ strangeonium hybrid, and we investigate this interpretation from both the flux tube model and the constituent gluon model. The decay patterns and decay width in the flux tube model and the constituent gluon model (for the "gluon excited" hybrid) are very similar. The tetraquark hypothesis is not favored by the available experimental data. The crucial test of our scenario is suggested, furthermore, the promising channels which can discriminate the hybrid interpretation from the tetraquark are als…
