An Extension of Tychonoffs Fixed Point Theorem to Quasi-point Separable Topological Vector Spaces

In this paper, we introduce the concepts of m-quasiconvex, originally m-quasiconvex,and generalized m-quasiconvex functionals on topological vector spaces. Then we extend the concept of point separable topological vector spaces (by the topological dual spaces) to quasi-point separable topological vector spaces by families of generalized m-quasiconvex functionals. We show that every pseudonorm adjoint topological vector space, which includes locally convex topological vector spaces as special cases, is quasi-point separable. By the Fan-KKM theorem, we prove a fixed point theorem on quasi-point separable topological vector spaces. It is an extension of the fixed point theorem on pseudonorm adjoint topological vector spaces proved in [8]. Therefore, it is a properextension of Tychonoffs fixed point theorem on locally convex topological vector spaces, which are demonstrated by some examples.

An Extension of Tychonoff Fixed Point Theorem

In this paper, we introduce the concepts of weaknorm, quasi-weaknorm on real vector spaces. By these concepts, we introduce the concept of quasi-locally convex topological vector spaces, which include locally convex topological vector spaces as special cases. By the Fan-KKM theorem, we prove a fixed point theorem in quasi-locally convex topological vector spaces, that is a natural extension of Tychonoff fixed point theorem in locally convex topological vector spaces. Then we provide an example to show that this extension is a proper extension.

Strongly sequentially separable function spaces, via selection principles

A separable space is strongly sequentially separable if, for each countable dense set, every point in the space is a limit of a sequence from the dense set. We consider this and related properties, for the spaces of continous and Borel real-valued functions on Tychonoff spaces, with the topology of pointwise convergence. Our results solve a problem stated by Gartside, Lo, and Marsh.

Locally convex properties of free locally convex spaces

Let $L(X)$ be the free locally convex space over a Tychonoff space $X$. We show that the following assertions are equivalent: (i) $L(X)$ is $\ell_\infty$-barrelled, (ii) $L(X)$ is $\ell_\infty$-quasibarrelled, (iii) $L(X)$ is $c_0$-barrelled, (iv) $L(X)$ is $\aleph_0$-quasibarrelled, and (v) $X$ is a $P$-space. On σ-convex subsets in spaces of scatteredly continuous functions

We prove that for any topological space $X$ of countable tightness, each σ-convex subspace $\F$ of the space $SC_p(X)$ of scatteredly continuous real-valued functions on $X$ has network weight $nw(\F)\le nw(X)$. A characterization of $X$ for which spaces $C_p(X)$ are distinguished and its applications

We prove that the locally convex space $C_{p}(X)$ of continuous real-valued functions on a Tychonoff space $X$ equipped with the topology of pointwise convergence is distinguished if and only if $X$ is a $Δ$-space in the sense of \cite {Knight}. Differentiability of quasiconvex functions on separable Banach spaces

We investigate the differentiability properties of real-valued quasiconvex functions f defined on a separable Banach space X. Continuity is only assumed to hold at the points of a dense subset. If so, this subset is automatically residual. The list of known Banach spaces whose linear geometry determines the (nonlinear) democracy functions of their quasi-greedy bases to the extent that they end up being democratic, reduces to $c_0$, $\ell_2$, and all separable $\mathcal{L}_1$-spaces. Some results on higher orders quasi-isometries

The purpose of the present paper is to pursue further study of a class of linear bounded operators, known as n-quasi-m-isometric operators acting on an infinite complex separable Hilbert space H. This generalizes the class of m-isometric operators on Hilbert space introduced by Agler and Stankus in [1]. The class of n-quasi-m-isometric operators was defined by S. Mecheri and T. Vector analysis for Dirichlet forms and quasilinear PDE and SPDE on metric measure spaces

Starting with a regular symmetric Dirichlet form on a locally compact separable metric space $X$, our paper studies elements of vector analysis, $L_p$-spaces of vector fields and related Sobolev spaces. These tools are then employed to obtain existence and uniqueness results for some quasilinear elliptic PDE and SPDE in variational form on $X$ by standard methods.
