Within the dense-dilute Color Glass Condensate approach, and using the Golec-Biernat-Wuesthoff model for the dipole scattering amplitude, we calculate $v_2^2$ as well as the correlations between $v_2^2$ and both the total multiplicity and the mean transverse momentum of produced particles. We find that the correlations are generally very small consistent with the observations. We note an interesting sharp change in the value of $v^2_2$ as well as of its correlations as a function of the width of the transverse momentum bin. This crossover is associated with the change from Bose enhancement dominance of the correlation for narrow bin to HBT dominated correlations for larger bin width.
Quarkonium production mechanism in high multiplicity small collision systems has recently been pursued in the color-glass-condensate (CGC) effective theory combined with non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization, allowing to study initial state interactions. Quarkonium polarization, potentially measured in future experiments, would help elucidate the quarkonium production mechanism at high multiplicities. In this paper, we provide predictions on $J/ψ$ polarization parameters in high multiplicity proton-proton ($pp$) and proton-nucleus ($pA$) collisions within the CGC+NRQCD framework. Theoreti…
We generalized our model for the description of hard processes, and calculate the value of the azimuthal angle correlations ( Fourier harmonics $v_n$ ), for proton-proton scattering. The energy and multiplicity independence, as well as the value of $v_n$, turn out the be in accord with the experimental data, or slightly larger. Therefore, before making extreme assumptions on proton-proton collisions, such as the production of quark-gluon plasma in the large multiplicity events, we need to explain how these effect theBose-Einstein correlations which are so large, that have to be taken into accou…
Considering a dilute-dense situation suitable for pA collisions, we compute in the Color Glass Condensate the correlation between azimuthal asymmetries, specifically the squared second Fourier coefficient $v_2^2$, and the total multiplicity in the event. We also analyse the correlation between $v_2^2$ and the mean squared transverse momentum of particles in the event. In both cases, we find that the correlations are generally very small, consistent with the observations. We also note an interesting sharp change in the value of $v_2^2$ and its correlations as a function of the width of the tran…
We study the process $γA \to q \bar{q} g+X$ in the Color Glass Condensate (CGC) effective theory. After obtaining the cross section, we consider two kinematic limits which are encompassed in our result. In the so-called correlation limit, the vector sum of the transverse momenta of the three outgoing particles is small with respect to the individual transverse momenta; the cross section then simplifies considerably and can be written in a factorized form, sensitive to both the unpolarized and linearly-polarized Weizsäcker-Williams transverse momentum dependent gluon distribution function (gluo…
In this paper, we discuss the inclusive production of hadrons in the framework of CGC/saturation approach. We argue, that the gluon jet inclusive production stems from the vicinity of the saturation momentum, even for small values of the transverse momenta $p_T$. Since in this region, theoretically, we know the scattering amplitude, we claim that we can provide reliable estimates for this process. We demonstrate, that in a widely accepted model for confinement, to describe the experimental data, we require a thermal radiation term. In this model the parton (quark or gluon) with the transverse …
We compute sea quark Sivers distribution within color glass condensate(CGC) framework. It has been found that up to the leading logarithm accuracy, the collinear twist-3 approach and the CGC calculation yield the same result for sea quark Sivers distribution in the dilute limit. We further verify that transverse momentum dependent factorization is consistent with CGC treatment at small $x$ for the case of transverse spin asymmetry in open charm quark production in semi-inclusive deeply inelastic scattering process in an overlap kinematical region.
Heavy flavor measurements in high multiplicity proton-proton and proton-nucleus collisions at collider energies enable unique insights into their production and hadronization mechanism because experimental and theoretical uncertainties cancel in ratios of their cross-sections relative to minimum bias events. We explore such event engineering using the Color Glass Condensate (CGC) effective field theory to compute short distance charmonium cross-sections. The CGC is combined with heavy-quark fragmentation functions to compute $D$-meson cross-sections; for the $J/ψ$, hadronization is described e…
In this paper we demonstrate that the vigorously growing multiplicity distributions measured by STAR and ALICE present a strong evidence in favor of multigluon fusion mechanisms of the quarkonia production in CGC approach. We analyze the contribution of 3-gluon fusion mechanism and demonstrate that it gives a sizeable contribution to quarkonia yields, as well as predicts correctly the multiplicity distributions for $J/ψ$ at RHIC and LHC. We also make predictions for other quarkonia states, such as $ψ(2S)$ and $Υ(1S)$, and find that the multiplicity dependence of these states should be comparab…

We calculate the production of a photon and two jets at forward rapidity in proton-nucleus collisions, within the hybrid dilute-dense framework in the Color Glass Condensate (CGC) formalism. After obtaining the cross section for both the quark- and gluon-initiated channels, we consider the correlation limit, in which the vector sum of the transverse momenta of the three outgoing particles is small with respect to the individual transverse momenta. In this limit, the cross section simplifies considerably and can be written in a factorized form, sensitive to various unpolarized and linearly-pola…
The initial state is one of the greatest uncertainties in heavy-ion collisions. A model-agnostic approach is taken in the phenomenological Trento framework which constrains parameters using Bayesian analysis. However, the color-glass condensate (CGC) effective theory predicts initial energy densities that lie outside the recent Bayesian analyses due, in part, to the assumption in Trento of event-by-event multiplicity fluctuations following a $Γ$ distribution. We compare the Trento-preferred $\sqrt{T_{A}T_{B}}$ scaling to CGC-like $T_{A}T_{B}$ scaling coupled with log-normal fluctuations in $Au…
In this paper we demonstrate that the selection of events with different multiplicities of produced particles, leads to the violation of the azimuthal angular symmetry, $ϕ\to π- ϕ$. We find for LHC and lower energies, that this violation can be so large for the events with multiplicities $n \geq 2 \bar{n}$, where $\bar{n}$ is the mean multiplicity, that it leads to almostno suppression of $v_n$, with odd $n$. However, this can only occur if the typical size of the dipole in DIS with a nuclear target is small, or $Q^2 \,>\,Q^2_s\Lb A, Y_{\rm min},b\Rb$, where $Q_s$ is the saturation momentum of…
The IP-Glasma model of CGC combined with the Lund model of PYTHIA provides a very successful description of hadron production from gluon dominated non-equilibrium matter in various small collision systems. This new CGC+PYTHIA framework, naturally reproduces several characteristic features of the hadronic observables such as the mass ordering of $v_{2}(p_{T})$ and $\langle p_{T}\rangle$, often ascribed to collectivity driven by hydrodynamics at the LHC. In this contribution we extend our work to provide a systematic comparison of particle spectra and multiplicity distributions in p+p and d+Au c…
We compute the isolated photon production in association with a charged hadron at mid rapidity in $pp$ and $pA$ based on the Color Glass Condensate (CGC) framework of high energy QCD where, for the first time, we incorporate the Sudakov effect of soft gluon emissions. Our results are based on the leading order $q g \to q γ$ channel in the CGC framework and confronted with the recent data from RHIC and LHC concerning the angular distributions and out-of-plane transverse momentum distributions. We find that, while the CGC computation alone results in too narrow distributions, with the help of th…
We introduce a technique to study double parton scattering (DPS) in the Color-Glass-Condensate (CGC) approach. We show that the cross-section of the DPS in the CGC approach is calculable in terms of new nonperturbative objects, generalized double transverse momentum-dependent parton distribution (2GTMD) functions. We investigate the production of pairs of prompt photons from two partons in the projectile hadron in high-energy proton-nucleus collisions. We show that even for independent partons in the projectile, the prompt photon correlation function exhibits Hanbury Brown and Twiss (HBT) corr…
Transverse-momentum-dependent (TMD) gluon distributions have different operator definitions, depending on the process under consideration. We study that aspect of TMD factorization in the small-x limit, for the various unpolarized TMD gluon distributions encountered in the literature. To do this, we consider di-jet production in hadronic collisions, since this process allows to be exhaustive with respect to the possible operator definitions, and is suitable to be investigated at small x. Indeed, for forward and nearly back-to-back jets, one can apply both the TMD factorization and Color Glass …
We present a study of the transverse momentum spectra and their evolution in function of the position of the azimuthal of the particles associated to the leading particle. Additionally, the behavior of the spherocity distribution in the same azimuthal bins is reported. The studies were made using proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV using PYTHIA8 Monte Carlo event generator. The Multiplicity and midrapidity transverse momentum spectra of charged hadrons have been analyzed in the non-extensive statistical framework. The results on the findings corresponding to the Underlying Event ar…
We investigate the azimuthal correlations of the glasma in p-p collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}}=7$ TeV by using the CGC formalism. As expected, the azimuthal correlations show two peaks at $Δϕ=0$ and $π$ which represent collimation production in CGC. Beyond that, azimuthal correlations show fine structures, i.e. bumps or shoulders between the two peaks, when at least one gluon has small $x$. The structures are demonstrated to be associated with saturation momentum, and likely appear at transverse momentum around $2Q_{\mathrm{sp}}=1.8$ GeV$/$c.
In the framework of dense-dilute CGC approach we study fluctuations in the multiplicity of produced particles in p-A collisions. We show that the leading effect that drives the fluctuations is the Bose enhancement of gluons in the proton wave function. We explicitly calculate the moment generating function that resums the effects of Bose enhancement. We show that it can be understood in terms of the Liouville effective action for the composite field which is identified with the fluctuating density, or saturation momentum of the proton. The resulting probability distribution turns out to be ver…
We study single lepton production from semileptonic decays of heavy flavor hadrons ($D,B\rightarrow~l$) in pp and p$A$ collisions at RHIC and the LHC within the saturation/Color-Glass-Condensate (CGC) framework. Using the gluon distribution function obtained with the dipole amplitude, whose energy dependence is described by the Balitsky-Kovchegov equation with running coupling effect, we compute the transverse-momentum ($p_\perp$) spectra of the lepton yields at mid and forward rapidities. We find that a large fraction of leptons at low $p_\perp$ stems from the saturation regime of the incomin…
We discuss the production of $D$-mesons and $J/ψ$ in high multiplicity proton-proton and proton-nucleus collisions within the Color-Glass-Condensate (CGC) framework. We demonstrate that the modification of the LHC data on $D$ and $J/ψ$ yields in high multiplicity events relative to minimum bias events arise from a significant enhancement of the gluon saturation scales of the corresponding rare parton configurations in the colliding protons and nuclei. For a given event multiplicity, we predict these relative yields to be energy independent from $\sqrt{s}=200$ GeV at RHIC to the highest LHC ene…
For studying small-$x$ gluon saturation in forward dijet production in high-energy dilute-dense collisions, the improved TMD (ITMD) factorization formula was recently proposed. In the Color Glass Condensate (CGC) framework, it represents the leading term of an expansion in inverse powers of the hard scale. It contains the leading-twist TMD factorization formula relevant for small gluon's transverse momentum $k_t$, but also incorporates an all-order resummation of kinematical twists, resulting in a proper matching to high-energy factorization at large $k_t$. In this paper, we evaluate the accur…
The energy and rapidity dependence of the average transverse momentum $\langle p_T \rangle$ in $pp$ and $pA$ collisions at RHIC and LHC energies are estimated using the Colour Glass Condensate (CGC) formalism. We update previous predictions for the $p_T$ - spectra using the hybrid formalism of the CGC approach and two phenomenological models for the dipole - target scattering amplitude. We demonstrate that these models are able to describe the RHIC and LHC data for the hadron production in $pp$, $dAu$ and $pPb$ collisions at $p_T \le 20$ GeV. Moreover, we present our predictions for $\langle p…
Following previous work [1], we propose to analyze the rapidity dependence of transverse momentum and transverse-momentum multiplicity correlations. We demonstrate that the orthogonal polynomial expansion of the latter has the potential to discriminate between models of particle production.
