We show that every $3$-$(α,δ)$-Sasaki manifold of dimension $4n + 3$ admits a locally defined Riemannian submersion over a quaternionic Kähler manifold of scalar curvature $16n(n+2)αδ$. In the non-degenerate case ($δ\neq 0$) we describe all homogeneous $3$-$(α,δ)$-Sasaki manifolds fibering over symmetric Wolf spaces (case $αδ> 0$) and over their the noncompact dual symmetric spaces (case $αδ< 0$). If $αδ> 0$, this yields a complete classification of homogeneous $3$-$(α,δ)$-Sasaki manifolds; for $αδ< 0$, we provide a general construction of homogeneous $3$-$(α,δ)$-Sasaki manifolds fibering over nonsymmetric Alekseevsky spaces, the lowest possible dimension of such a manifold being $19$.
We introduce slant Riemannian submersions from Sasakian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. We survey main results of slant Riemannian submersions defined on Sasakian manifolds. We also give an example of such slant submersions.
We obtain sharp inequalities involving the Ricci curvature and the scalar curvature for anti-invariant Riemannian submersions from Sasakian space forms onto Riemannian manifolds.
We introduce anti-invariant Riemannian submersions from Sasakian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. We survey main results of anti-invariant Riemannian submersions defined on Sasakian manifolds. We investigate necessary and sufficient condition for an anti-invariant Riemannian submersion to be totally geodesic and harmonic. We give examples of anti-invariant submersions such that characteristic vector field ξ is vertical or horizontal.
In this paper we study a semi-Riemannian submersion from Lorentzian (para)almost contact manifolds and find necessary and sufficient conditions for the characteristic vector field to be vertical or horizontal. We also obtain decomposition theorems for an anti-invariant semi-Riemannian submersion from Lorentzian (para)Sasakian manifolds onto a Lorentzian manifold.
We investigate new Clairaut conditions for anti-invariant submersions from normal almost contact metric manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. We prove that there is no Clairaut anti-invariant submersion admitting vertical Reeb vector field when the total manifold is Sasakian. Several illustrative examples are also included.
We introduce bi-slant $ξ^{\perp}$-Riemannian submersions from Sasakian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds as a generalization of slant and semi-slant $ξ^{\perp}$-Riemannian submersion. We give an example and investigate the geometry foliations. After we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions related to totally geodesicness of submersion. Finally we give decomposition theorems for total manifold of such submersions.
In this paper we deal with some properties of a class of semi-Riemannian submersions between manifolds endowed with paraquaternionic structures, proving a result of non-existence of paraquaternionic submersions between paraquaternionic Kähler non locally hyper paraKähler manifolds. Then we examine, as an example, the canonical projection of the tangent bundle, endowed with the Sasaki metric, of an almost paraquaternionic Hermitian manifold.
The aim of the present paper to define and study semi-slant $ξ^\perp-$Riemannian submersions from Sasakian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds as a generalization of anti-invariant $ξ^\perp-$Riemannian submersions, semi-invariant $ξ^\perp-$Riemannian submersions and slant Riemannian submersions. We obtain characterizations, investigate the geometry of foliations which arise from the definition of this new submersion. After we investigate the geometry of foliations, we obtain necessary and sufficient condition for base manifold to be a locally product manifold and proving new conditions to be t…
A locally conformally Kähler (LCK) manifold is a complex manifold covered by a Kähler manifold, with the covering group acting by homotheties. We show that if such a compact manifold X admits a holomorphic submersion with positive dimensional fibers at least one of which is of Kähler type, then X is globally conformally Kähler or biholomorphic, up to finite covers, to a Vaisman manifold (i.e. a mapping torus over a circle, with Sasakian fibre). As a consequence, we show that the product between a compact non-Kähler LCK and a compact Kähler manifold cannot carry a LCK metric.
We show that, for an affine submersion $π: \mathbf{M}\longrightarrow \mathbf{B}$ with horizontal distribution, $\mathbf{B}$ is a statistical manifold with the metric and connection induced from the statistical manifold $\mathbf{M}$. The concept of conformal submersion with horizontal distribution is introduced, which is a generalization of affine submersion with horizontal distribution. Then proved a necessary and sufficient condition for $(\mathbf{M}, \nabla, g_M)$ to become a statistical manifold for a conformal submersion with horizontal distribution. A necessary and sufficient condition is…
We investigate curvature properties of 3-$(α,δ)$-Sasaki manifolds, a special class of almost 3-contact metric manifolds generalizing 3-Sasaki manifolds (corresponding to $α= δ= 1$) that admit a canonical metric connection with skew torsion and define a Riemannian submersion over a quaternionic Kähler manifold with vanishing, positive or negative scalar curvature, according to $δ= 0$, $αδ> 0$ or $αδ< 0$. We shall investigate both the Riemannian curvature and the curvature of the canonical connection, with particular focus on their curvature operators, regarded as symmetric endomorphisms of the …
We show Riemannian geometry could be studied by identifying the tangent bundle of a Riemannian manifold $\mathcal{M}$ with a subbundle of the trivial bundle $\mathcal{M} \times \mathcal{E}$, obtained by embedding $\mathcal{M}$ differentiably in a Euclidean space $\mathcal{E}$. Given such an embedding, we can extend the metric tensor on $\mathcal{M}$ to a (positive-definite) operator-valued function acting on $\mathcal{E}$, giving us an embedded ambient structure. The formulas for the Christoffel symbols and Riemannian curvature in local coordinates have simple generalizations to this setup. Fo…
