Quartic hilltop inflation revisited

We implement a procedure by which the parameters present in the potential of Quartic Hilltop Inflation (QHI) are eliminated in favor of the scalar spectral index $n_s$ and the tensor-to-scalar ratio $r$. By doing this it is posible to obtain in a straightforward and simple way the equations of a previous analysis where an analytical treatment of QHI in the large field limit is given. This procedure also allows a more precise discussion of general properties of the model. Also, using a constraint from the reheating epoch it is possible to find bounds for the parameters of the model as well as for quantities of interest such as the running of the scalar index, the reheating temperature and the inflationary scale. Since the bounds found come from expressions given exclusively in terms of $n_s$ and $r$ they will continue to narrow as the measurements of the observables $n_s$ and $r$ become more sensitive.

An analytic treatment of Quartic Hilltop Inflation

Quartic hilltop inflation remains one of the most successful inflationary models. Yet, the expectations of early treatments of hilltop inflation would contradict the observations and render the model excluded. Mutated hilltop inflation revisited

In this work we re-investigate pros and cons of mutated hilltop inflation. Applying Hamilton-Jacobi formalism we solve inflationary dynamics and find that inflation goes on along the ${\cal W}_{-1}$ branch of the Lambert function. Depending on the model parameter mutated hilltop model renders two types of inflationary solutions: one corresponds to small inflaton excursion during observable inflation and the other describes large field inflation. Kaehler Potentials for Hilltop F-term Hybrid Inflation

We consider the basic supersymmetric (SUSY) models of F-term hybrid inflation (FHI). We show that a simple class of Kaehler potentials ensures a resolution to the ηproblem and allows for inflation of hilltop type. As a consequence, observationally acceptable values for the spectral index, ns, can be achieved constraining the coefficient c4k of the quartic supergravity correction to the inflationary potential. Implementing Hilltop F-term Hybrid Inflation in Supergravity

F-term hybrid inflation (FHI) of the hilltop type can generate a scalar spectral index, ns, in agreement with the fitting of the seven-year Wilkinson microwave anisotropy probe data by the standard power-law cosmological model with cold dark matter and a cosmological constant, LambdaCDM. Primordial non-Gaussianity in warm inflation using $δN$ formalism

A $δN$ formalism is used to study the non-Gaussianity of the primordial curvature perturbation on an uniform density hypersurfaces generated by the warm inflation for the first time. Slow-roll inflation in f(R,T) gravity and a modified Starobinsky-like inflationary model

In this work, we studied the slow-roll approximation of cosmic inflation within the context of $f(R,T)$ gravity, where $R$ is the scalar curvature, and $T$ is the trace of the energy-momentum tensor. Hybrid Inflation Revisited in Light of WMAP5

We study the effects of including one-loop radiative corrections in a non-supersymmetric hybrid inflationary model. These corrections can arise from Yukawa couplings between the inflaton and right-handed neutrinos, and induce a maximum in the potential which admits hilltop-type solutions in addition to the standard hybrid solutions. Low Scale Inflation at High Energy Colliders and Meson Factories

Inflation occurring at energy densities less than (10$^{14}$ GeV)$^4$ produces tensor perturbations too small to be measured by cosmological surveys. However, we show that it is possible to probe low scale inflation by measuring the mass of the inflaton at low energy experiments.
