The existence of full heavy dibaryons $Ω_{ccc}Ω_{bbb}$, $Ω_{ccc}Ω_{ccc}$ and $Ω_{bbb}Ω_{bbb}$ with $J=0,~1,~2,~3$ and $P=\pm1$ are investigated in the framework of a constituent quark model. The dibaryon composed of six $c$ or $b$ quarks with $J^{P}=0^{+}$ is possible to be bound, while the dibaryon with the $cccbbb$ configuration is difficult to form any bound state. We also study the interaction between two full heavy baryons, and the effective potentials, suggesting the existence of dibaryons $Ω_{ccc}Ω_{ccc}$ and $Ω_{bbb}Ω_{bbb}$, and the absence of binding for $Ω_{ccc}Ω_{bbb}$ system. Besides, the calculation of the low-energy scattering phase shifts of the $Ω_{ccc}Ω_{ccc}$ and $Ω_{bbb}Ω_{bbb}$, as well as the scattering length also confirm the existence of stable full heavy dibaryons $Ω_{ccc}Ω_{ccc}$ and $Ω_{bbb}Ω_{bbb}$.
We investigate the symmetry property and the stability of dibaryons containing two strange quarks and one heavy flavor with $I=\frac{1}{2}$. We construct the wave function of the dibaryon in two ways. First, we directly construct the color and spin state of the dibaryon starting from the four possible SU(3) flavor state. Second, we consider the states composed of five light quarks, and then construct the wave function of the dibaryon by adding one heavy quark. The stability of the dibaryon against the strong decay into two baryons is discussed by using variational method in a constituent quark…
We study the two-baryon system with two units of charm looking for the possible existence of a loosely bound state resembling the $H$ dibaryon. We make use of a chiral constituent quark model tuned in the description of the baryon and meson spectra as well as the $NN$ interaction. The presence of the heavy quarks makes the interaction simpler than in light baryon systems. We analyze possible quark-Pauli effects that would be present in spin-isospin saturated channels. Our results point to the non-existence of a charmed $H$-like dibaryon, although it may appear as a resonance above the $Λ_cΛ_c$…
We study the stability of hexaquark systems containing two heavy quarks and four light quarks within a simple quark model. No bound or metastable state is found. The reason stems on a delicate interplay between chromoelectric and chromomagnetic effects. Our calculation provides also information about anticharmed pentaquarks that are seemingly unbound in simple quark models.
We perform a systemical investigation of the low-lying doubly-heavy dibaryon systems with strange $S=0$, isospin $I=0$, $1$, $2$ and the angular momentum $J=0$, $1$, $2$, $3$ in the quark delocalization color screening model. We find the effect of channel-coupling cannot be neglected in the study of the multi-quark systems. Due to the heavy flavor symmetry, the results of the doubly-charm and doubly-bottom dibaryon systems are similar with each other. Both of them have three bound states, the quantum numbers of which are $IJ=00$, $IJ=02$ and $IJ=13$, respectively. The energies are $4554$ MeV, …
We explore the possibility of very heavy dibaryons with three charm quarks and three beauty quarks, $bbbccc$, using a constituent model which should drive to the correct solution in the limit of hadrons made of heavy quarks. The six-body problem is treated rigorously, in particular taking into account the orbital, color and spin mixed-symmetry components of the wave function. Unlike a recent claim based on lattice QCD, no bound state is found below the lowest dissociation threshold.
Possible $NΩ$-like dibaryons $NΩ_{ccc}$ and $NΩ_{bbb}$ with quantum numbers $IJ^P=\frac{1}{2}2^+$ are investigated within the framework of quark delocalization color screening model. We find both of these two states are bound, and the binding energy increases as the quarks of the system become heavier. The attraction between $N$ and $Ω_{ccc}$ (or $Ω_{bbb}$) mainly comes from the kinetic energy term due to quark delocalization and color screening. The effect of the channel-coupling provides more effective attraction to $NΩ_{ccc}$ and $NΩ_{bbb}$ systems. Besides, the scattering length, the effec…
Two-particle intensity correlation between the proton ($p$) and the Omega-baryon ($Ω$) in high-energy heavy ion collisions is studied to unravel the possible spin-2 $pΩ$ dibaryon recently suggested by lattice QCD simulations. The ratio of correlation functions between small and large collision systems, $C_{\rm SL}(Q)$, is proposed to be a new measure to extract the strong $pΩ$ interaction without much contamination from the Coulomb attraction. Relevance of this quantity to the experimental observables in heavy-ion collisions is also discussed.
Charmed dibaryon states with the spin-parity $J^π=0^+$, $1^+$, and $2^+$are predicted for the two-body $Y_cN$ ($=Λ_c$, $Σ_c$, or $Σ^*_c$) systems. We employ the complex scaling method for the coupled channel Hamiltonian with the $Y_cN$-CTNN potentials, which were proposed in our previous study. We find four sharp resonance states near the $Σ_c N$ and $Σ^*_c N$ thresholds. From the analysis of the binding energies of partial channel systems, we conclude that these resonance states are Feshbach resonances. We compare the results with the $Y_c N$ resonance states in the heavy quark limit, where t…
Recently the HAL QCD Collaboration reported the $Ω-Ω$ and $N-Ω$ interaction potentials by the lattice QCD simulations. Based on these results, $NΩ$ ($^5S_2$) and $ΩΩ$ ($^1S_0$) bound states were predicted with the binding energy about a few MeV. In addition, $N-Ω$ HBT correlation function was also measured by the STAR Collaboration as well as the ALICE Collaboration. These results provide dynamical information whether or not $Ω$-dibaryons exist in the interaction aspects. Another necessary point for the detection of $Ω$-dibaryons is the experimental environment where the bound state could be p…
The momentum correlation functions of baryon pairs, which reflects the baryon-baryon interaction at low energies, are investigated for multi-strangeness pairs ($ΩΩ$ and $NΩ$) produced in relativistic heavy-ion collisions. We calculate the correlation functions based on an expanding source model constrained by single-particle distributions. The interaction potentials are taken from those obtained from recent lattice QCD calculations at nearly physical quark masses. Experimental measurements of these correlation functions for different system sizes will help to disentangle the strong interaction…
We present results of the first lattice QCD calculation of three-flavored heavy dibaryons both in the flavor-symmetric and antisymmetric channels. These dibaryons have spin zero, and are constructed using various possible combinations of quark flavors with at least one of them as the charm or the bottom quark, i.e., namely, $H_c(cudcud), H_b(budbud), H_{bcs}(bcsbcs)$, $H_{csl}(cslcsl), H_{bsl}(bslbsl)$ and $H_{bcl}(bclbcl)$; $l\in u,d$. We compute the ground state masses of these dibaryons and the calculations are performed on three $N_f=2+1+1$ HISQ gauge ensembles of the MILC collaboration, w…
We report the first lattice quantum chromodynamics (QCD) study of deuteron($np$)-like dibaryons with heavy quark flavours. These include particles with following dibaryon structures and valence quark contents: $Σ_cΞ_{cc} (uucucc)$, $Ω_cΩ_{cc} (sscscc)$, $Σ_bΞ_{bb} (uububb)$, $Ω_bΩ_{bb} (ssbsbb)$ and $Ω_{ccb}Ω_{cbb} (ccbcbb)$, and with spin ($J$)-parity ($P$), $J^{P} \equiv 1^{+}$. Using a state-of-the art lattice QCD calculation, after controlling relevant systematic errors, we unambiguously find that the ground state masses of dibaryons $Ω_cΩ_{cc} (sscscc)$, $Ω_bΩ_{bb} (ssbsbb)$ and $Ω_{ccb}Ω…
Diquark models have been applied with varying degree of success to tetraquark and pentaquark states involving both light and heavy quark degrees of freedom. We discuss the applicability of such models to light quark dibaryons, viewed as three-diquark objects. Highlighting the case of the d*(2380) dibaryon resonance, we demonstrate the inapplicability of diquark models in the light quark sector.
We study the mass spectra of the $NΩ$ dibaryons in the $^{3}S_1$ and $^{5}S_2$ channels with $J^{P}=1^{+}$ and $2^{+}$ respectively, by using the method of QCD sum rules. We construct two dibaryon interpolating currents in the molecular picture and calculate their correlation functions and spectral densities up to dimension-16 condensates. Our results indicate that there may exist an $NΩ$ dibaryon bound state in the $^{5}S_2$ channel with a binding energy of about $21\ \mathrm{MeV}$. The masses of the $^{3}S_1$ $NΩ$ dibaryons with $J^{P}=1^{+}$ are predicted to be higher than the $NΩ$ and $ΛΞ$…
We investigate the symmetry property and construct the wave function of the dibaryon states containing two strange quarks with S=0 in both the flavor SU(3) symmetric and breaking cases. We discuss how the color $\otimes$ isospin $\otimes$ spin states of dibaryon in the symmetry broking case of flavor SU(3) can be extracted from the fully antisymmetric states in flavor SU(3). The stability of the dibaryon against the strong decay into two baryons are then discussed, by using the variational method within a constituent quark model with a confining and color-spin interactions. To compare our resu…
We report the first lattice QCD study of the heavy dibaryons in which all six quarks have the bottom (beauty) flavor. Performing a state-of-the-art lattice QCD calculation we find clear evidence for a deeply bound $Ω_{bbb}$-$Ω_{bbb}$ dibaryon in the $^1S_0$ channel, as a pole singularity in the $S$-wave $Ω_{bbb}$-$Ω_{bbb}$ scattering amplitude with a binding energy $-81(_{-16}^{+14})$ MeV. With such a deep binding, Coulomb repulsion serves only as a perturbation on the ground state wave function of the parameterized strong potential and may shift the strong binding only by a few percent. Consi…
We study the effect of a dibaryon, S, in the mass range 1860 MeV < m_S < 2054 MeV, which is heavy enough not to disturb the stability of nuclei and light enough to possibly be cosmologically metastable. Such a deeply bound state can act as a baryon sink in regions of high baryon density and temperature. We find that the ambient conditions encountered inside a newly born neutron star are likely to sustain a sufficient population of hyperons to ensure that a population of S dibaryons can equilibrate in less than a few seconds. This would be catastrophic for the stability of neutron stars and the…
The pentaquark states, $P_{c}(4312)$, $P_{c}(4440)$ and $P_{c}(4450)$, can be nicely arranged into a multiplet of seven molecules of $\bar{D}^{(\ast)}Σ_{c}^{(\ast)}$ dictated by heavy quark spin symmetry, while the $Ξ_{cc}^{(\ast)}Σ_{c}^{(\ast)}$ system can be related to the $\bar{D}^{(\ast)}Σ_{c}^{(\ast)}$ system via heavy antiquark diquark symmetry. In this work we employ the one boson exchange model to study the interactions between $Ξ_{cc}^{(\ast)}$ and $Σ_{c}^{(\ast)}$ with constraints from the pentaquark system. We show that a multiplet of ten triply charmed dibaryons emerge naturally in…
We investigate the properties of dibaryons containing u and d quarks in the constituent quark model. In constructing the ground state wave function, we choose the spatial part to be fully symmetric and the remaining color, isospin and spin part to be antisymmetric so as to satisfy the the Pauli principle. By adapting the IS coupling scheme that combine the isospin basis function with the spin basis function, and subsequently coupling this to the color singlet basis function, we construct the color $\otimes$ isospin $\otimes$ spin states compatible with the physical states of the dibaryon. By u…
The LHCb collaboration has recently observed three narrow pentaquark states --- the $P_c(4312)$, $P_c(4440)$, and $P_c(4457)$ ---that are located close to the $\bar{D} Σ_c$ and $\bar{D}^* Σ_c$ thresholds. Among the so-far proposed theoretical interpretations for these pentaquarks, the molecular hypothesis seems to be the preferred one. Nevertheless, in the molecular picture the spins of the $P_c(4440)$ and $P_c(4457)$ have not been unambiguously determined yet. In this letter we point out that heavy antiquark-diquark symmetry induces a model-independent relation between the spin-splitting in t…
The $ΔΔ$ dibaryon resonance $d^\ast (2380)$ with $(J^P, I)=(3^+, 0)$ is studied theoretically on the basis of the 3-flavor lattice QCD simulation with heavy pion masses ($m_π=679, 841$ and $1018$ MeV). By using the HAL QCD method, the central $Δ$-$Δ$ potential in the ${}^7S_3$ channel is obtained from the lattice data with the lattice spacing $a\simeq 0.121$ fm and the lattice size $L\simeq 3.87$ fm. The resultant potential shows a strong short-range attraction, so that a quasi-bound state corresponding to $d^\ast (2380)$ is formed with the binding energy $25$-$40$ MeV below the $ΔΔ$ threshold…
A pair of triply charmed baryons, $Ω_{ccc}Ω_{ccc}$, is studied as an ideal dibaryon system by (2+1)-flavor lattice QCD with nearly physical light-quark masses and the relativistic heavy quark action with the physical charm quark mass. The spatial baryon-baryon correlation is related to their scattering parameters on the basis of the HAL QCD method. The $Ω_{ccc}Ω_{ccc}$ in the ${^1S_0}$ channel taking into account the Coulomb repulsion with the charge form factor of $Ω_{ccc}$ leads to the scattering length $a^{\rm C}_0\simeq -19~\text{fm}$ and the effective range $r^{\rm C}_{\mathrm{eff}}\simeq…

We used a diffusion Monte Carlo technique to describe the properties of fully-heavy compact arrangements (no dibaryon molecules) including six quarks and no antiquarks within the framewok of a constituent quark model. Only arrangements whose wavefunctions were eigenvectors of $L^2$ with eigenvalue $\ell$ = 0 were taken into account, what means that we only considered the subset of all the possible color-spin combinations that make the total wavefunctions antisymmetric with respect to the interchange of any two quarks of the same type. This means arrangements with spin $S=0$ for $cccccc$, $bbbb…
The existence of stable multiquarks made of heavy quarks and antiquarks is discussed in the framework of potential models. It is stressed that the few-body problem should be handled seriously and accurately. No bound state is found within the current models. But resonances are likely present in the spectrum above the lowest threshold.
We extend our POWLANG transport setup for the modelling of heavy-flavour production in heavy-ion collisions to the case of full 3+1 simulations, dropping the approximation of longitudinal boost-invariance of the background medium. This enables us to provide predictions for observables for which the rapidity dependence is essential in order to obtain a non-vanishing signal, like the directed flow $v_1$, and to get reliable results also for kinematic distributions of heavy-flavour particles at forward rapidity. We compare our predictions with experimental data obtained in Au-Au and Pb-Pb collisi…
Multiquark states have been advocated to explain recent experimental data in the heavy-light sector, and there are already speculations about multiquarks containing only heavy quarks and antiquarks. With a rigorous treatment of the four-body problem in current quark models, full-charm $(cc\bar c\bar c)$ and full-beauty $(bb\bar b\bar b)$ tetraquarks are found to be unbound. Thus their stability should rely on more subtle effects that are not included in the simple picture of constituent quarks. The case of $(bc\bar b\bar c)$ might be more favorable if the naive color-additive model of confinem…
Inspired by recent measurement of possible fully charmed tetraquarks in LHCb Collaboration, we investigate the mass spectra of fully heavy tetraquarks $QQ \bar Q \bar Q$ in an extended relativized quark model. Our estimations indicate that the broad structure around 6.4 GeV should contain one or more ground $cc \bar c \bar c$ tetraquark states, while the narrow structure near 6.9 GeV can be categorized as the first radial excitation of $cc \bar c \bar c$ system. Moreover, with the wave functions of the tetraquarks and mesons, the strong decays of tetraquarks into heavy quarkonium pair are qual…
The LHCb collaboration reported a fully charmed tetraquark state X(6900) in the invariant mass spectrum of $J/ψ$ pairs in 2020. This discovery inspires us to further study the fully heavy pentaquark system. In this work, we investigate systematically all possible configurations for ground fully heavy pentaquark system via the variational method in the constituent quark model. According to our calculations, we further analyze the relative lengths between quarks and the contributions to the pentaquark masses from different terms of the Hamiltonian. We think no stable states exist in fully heavy …
The fully heavy pentaquarks $cccc\bar{c}$ and $bbbb\bar{b}$ are systematically investigated within the chiral quark model and quark delocalization color screening model. The results are consistent in both two moelds, and the effect of the channel-coupling is crucial for forming a bound state of the fully heavy pentaquark system. Three possible fully heavy pentaquarks are obtained, which are the $cccc\bar{c}$ state with $J^P = 1/2^-$ and the mass of $7891.9 \sim 7892.7$ MeV, the $bbbb\bar{b}$ state with $J^P=1/2^-$ and the mass of $23810.1 \sim 23813.8$ MeV, and the $bbbb\bar{b}$ state with $J^…
We discuss the possible existence of the fully-heavy tetraquarks. We calculate the ground-state energy of the $bb \bar b \bar b$ bound state, where $b$ stands for the bottom quark, in a nonrelativistic effective field theory framework with one-gluon-exchange (OGE) color Coulomb interaction, and in a relativized diquark model characterized by OGE plus a confining potential. Our analysis advocates the existence of uni-flavor heavy four-quark bound states. The ground state $bb\bar b\bar b$ tetraquark mass is predicted to be $(18.72\pm0.02)$~GeV. Mass inequality relations among the lowest $QQ\bar{…
In this article, we study the ground-state mass of full-heavy tetraquarks $cc\bar c\bar c$ and $bb\bar b \bar b$ with solving the nonrelativistic four-body systems. The flux-tube configurations, the tetraquark four-body potential butterfly, and the dimeson potential flip-flop of SU(3) lattice quantum chromodynamics have been applied to describe the tetraquark interaction. Our numerical analysis indicates that the disconnected and connected static potentials can predict the mass of tetraquark very close to experimental data.
