We investigate the possibility to probe lepton number violating (LNV) operators in the rare kaon decay $K\toπνν$. Performing the analysis in the Standard Model effective field theory with only light active Majorana neutrinos, we determine the current limits on the corresponding LNV physics scale from the past E949 experiment at BNL as well as the currently operating experiments NA62 at CERN and KOTO at J-PARC. We focus on the specific signature of scalar currents in $K\toπνν$ arising from the LNV nature of the operators and study the effect on the experimental sensitivity, stressing the need for dedicated searches for beyond the SM currents. We find that the rare kaon decays probe high operator scales $Λ_\text{LNV} \approx 15$ to $20$ TeV in different quark and neutrino flavours compared to neutrinoless double beta decay. Furthermore, we comment that the observation of LNV in kaon decays can put high-scale leptogenesis under tension. Finally, we discuss the connection with small radiatively generated neutrino masses and show how the severe constraints therefrom can be evaded in a minimal ultraviolet-complete scenario featuring leptoquarks.
We present the next-to-leading order full results in Chiral Perturbation Theory for the charged Kaon K --> 3 pi slope g CP violating asymmetries. We discuss the constraints that a measurement of these asymmetries would impose on the Standard Model results of epsilon_K' and search for new physics. We also study the kind of information that such measurement can provide on Im G_8, Im (e^2 G_E) and higher order weak couplings.
We explore the possibility of lepton number violation (LNV) manifesting in the rare kaon decay $K\toπνν$, and its consequences for radiative neutrino mass generation and the washout of Lepton asymmetry in high-scale leptogenesis scenarios. We perform the analysis in a model-independent framework, the Standard Model effective field theory (SMEFT), and discuss the possible LNV nature of the rare kaon decay in the context of the currently operating NA62 experiment at CERN. We find that, in case of a LNV interaction, its detection would put high-scale leptogenesis under tension and would hint to s…
We investigate lepton-number-violating decays $K^\mp \rightarrow π^\pm l^\mp l^\mp$ in the presence of sterile neutrinos. We consider minimal interactions with Standard-Model fields through Yukawa couplings as well as higher-dimensional operators in the framework of the neutrino-extended Standard Model Effective Field Theory. We use $SU(3)$ chiral perturbation theory to match to mesonic interactions and compute the lepton-number-violating decay rate in terms of the neutrino masses and the Wilson coefficients of higher-dimensional operators. For neutrinos that can be produced on-shell, the deca…
It is possible that the low-energy effects of physics beyond the standard model can be parametrized mainly by anomalous couplings of quarks to the W boson. Such couplings can generate potentially significant contributions to various transitions that can be probed by current and future experiments. This work explores constraints on anomalous charm-W couplings from a number of CP-conserving and -violating processes involving the kaon and other flavored hadrons.
Rare leptonic kaon and pion decays $K^+(π^+) \to μ^+\, ν_μ\, e^+ e^-$ can be used to probe a dark photon of mass ${\cal O}(10)$~MeV, with the background coming from the mediation of a virtual photon. This is most relevant for the 16.7-MeV dark photon proposed to explain a 6.8$σ$ anomaly recently observed in $^8$Be transitions by the Atomki Collaboration. We evaluate the reach of future experiments for different scenarios of how the dark photon couples with the standard model particles, and show that a great portion of the preferred 16.7-MeV dark photon parameter space can be decisively probed.…
First full next-to-leading order analytical results in Chiral Perturbation Theory for the charged Kaon K -> 3 pi slope g and decay rates CP-violating asymmetries are presented. We discuss the constraints that a measurement of these asymmetries would impose on the Standard Model calculations of epsilon_K' and the kind of information it can provide on Im G_8, Im (e^2 G_E) and higher order weak couplings.
In this Ph.D. Thesis we analyze some CP-violating observables in Kaon decays. In Chapters 1-3 we describe the framework in which this Thesis has been developed and establish the definitions and notation. In Chapter 4 we study CP-violating asymmetries in the decays of charged Kaons K\to 3π. The calculation of the ΔI=3/2 contribution to $ε_K'$ in the chiral limit, is reported in Chapter 6. In Chapter 7 we perform a calculation of the direct CP-violating parameter $ε_K'$ using some of the results obtained in the other chapters. We also develop a new approach that can be used to systematically det…

After a brief history of the insights gained from Kaon physics, the potential of Kaon decays for probing lepton number violation is discussed. Present tests of CTP and of Quantum Mechanics in the neutral Kaon sector are then reviewed and the potential of the Frascati $Φ$ factory for doing incisive tests in this area is emphasized. The rest of this overview focuses on CP violating effects in the Kaon system. Although present observations of CP violation are perfectly consistent with the CKM model, we emphasize the theoretical and experimental difficulties which must be faced to establish this c…
We give the first full next-to-leading order analytical results in Chiral Perturbation Theory for the charged Kaon K \to 3 pi slope g and decay rates CP-violating asymmetries. We have included the dominant Final State Interactions at NLO analytically and discussed the importance of the unknown counterterms. We find that the uncertainty due to them is reasonable just for Δg_C, i.e. the asymmetry in the K^+ \to pi^+ pi^+ pi^- slope g; we get Δg_C = -(2.4 +- 1.2) 10^{-5}. The rest of the asymmetries are very sensitive to the unknown counterterms. In particular, the decay rate asymmetries can chan…
We review some recent theoretical results on rare kaon decays. Particular attention is devoted to establish the short distance (direct CP violating) contribution to K_L => π^0 e \bar{e}. This is achieved by a careful study of the long distance part. As byproduct, we discuss interesting chiral tests.
The Leggett-Garg inequality (LGI) as a temporal analogue of Bell's inequality, derived using the notion of realism, is applied in a hitherto unexplored context involving the weak interaction induced two-state oscillations of decaying neutral kaons and neutrinos. The maximum violation of LGI obtained from the quantum mechanical results is significantly higher for the oscillating neutrinos compared to that for the kaons. Interestingly, the effect of CP non-invariance for the kaon oscillation is to enhance this violation while, for neutrinos, it is sensitive to the value of the mixing parameter.
In this paper we present a novel CPT symmetry test in the neutral kaon system based, for the first time, on the direct comparison of the probabilities of a transition and its CPT reverse. The required interchange of "in" $\leftrightarrow$ "out" states for a given process is obtained exploiting the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen correlations of neutral kaon pairs produced at a $ϕ$-factory. The observable quantities have been constructed by selecting the two semileptonic decays for flavour tag, the $ππ$ and $3π^0$ decays for CP tag and the time orderings of the decay pairs. The interpretation in terms …
We present an analysis of CPT violation in $B\to J/ψK$ decays. A method of kaon regeneration is proposed to increase the $K_{S(L)}$ interference effects. With the time evolution of both neutral B and K mesons, we show that it is possible to determine the CPT violating parameter in $B^0-\bar{B^0}$ mixing or constrain it.
Recent results from the LHC's first run have revealed intriguing departures from lepton flavour universality in the semi-leptonic decays of $B$-mesons. We discuss the complementary role that rare kaon decays can provide in testing new physics explanations of these flavour anomalies. In the framework of minimal flavour violation, we relate the chiral low-energy constants involved in $K\toπ\ell\ell'$ and $K\to\ell\ell'$ ($\ell = μ\mbox{ or } e$) with the new physics Wilson coefficients of the $b\to s$ effective Hamiltonian. We comment on the determination of these low-energy constants at NA62 an…
We analyze constraints on low-energy flavour-changing sfermion mass terms, coming from FCNC and CP violating processes, in the model-independent framework of the mass insertion method. We discuss the relevance of these constraints as tests of supersymmetric extensions of the standard model; in particular, we consider grand-unified models and models with non-universal soft breaking terms.
We examine the possibility of observing exotic top quark decays via $R$-Parity violating SUSY interactions in $e^+e^-$ collisions at $\sqrt{s = 500 GeV$. We present cross-sections for $t\bar t$ production followed by the subsequent decay of either the $t$ or $\overline{t}$ via the $R$-Parity violating interaction while the other undergoes the SM decay. We discuss kinematic cuts that allow the exotic SUSY decays to be detected over standard model backgrounds. Discovery limits for $R$-Parity violating couplings in the top sector are presented assuming an integrated luminosity of $100 fb^{-1}$.
We examine the possibility of observing exotic top quark decays via R-violating SUSY interactions at the Fermilab Tevatron and CERN LHC. We present cross-sections for $t\bar t$ production followed by the subsequent decay of either $t$ or $\bar t$ via the R-violating interaction while the other undergoes the SM decay. With suitable kinematic cuts, we find that the exotic decays can possibly be detected over standard model backgrounds at the future runs of the Tevatron and LHC, but not at Run 1 of the Tevatron due to limited statistics. Discovery limits for R-Violating couplings in the top secto…
Rare kaon decays are an important testing ground of the electroweak flavor theory: They can provide new signals of CP-violating phenomena. The interplay of long-distance QCD effects in strangeness-changing transitions can be analyzed with Chiral Perturbation Theory techniques. In particular, two rare kaon decays are analyzed: The first decay, K_L -> pi0 e+e-, is being searched for as a signal of direct Delta S = 1 CP violation. We provide a thorough updating of the analysis of the three components of the decay: 1) Direct CP violation, 2) CP violation through the mass matrix and 3) CP-conservin…
We study the phenomenological consequences of several $CP$-violating structures that could arise in the Standard Model effective field theory framework. Focusing on operators involving electroweak gauge and/or Higgs bosons, we derive constraints originating from Run I LHC data. We then study the capabilities of the present and future LHC runs at higher energies to further probe associated CP-violating phenomena and we demonstrate how differential information can play a key role. We consider both traditional four-lepton probes of CP-violation in the Higgs sector and novel new physics handles ba…
We propose a new strategy for detecting the CP-violating phases and the effective mass of muon Majorana neutrinos by measuring observables associated with neutrino-antineutrino oscillations in $π^{\pm}$ decays. Within the generic framework of quantum field theory, we compute the non-factorizable probability for producing a pair of same-charged muons in $π^{\pm}$ decays as a distinctive signature of $ν_μ-\bar{ν_μ}$ oscillations. We show that an intense neutrino beam through a long baseline experiment is favored for probing the Majorana phases. Using the neutrino-antineutrino oscillation probabi…
We study the production processes $e^+e^-\to H^0_iZ$, $H^0_iH^0_j$ and $H^0_iν_e\overline ν_e$ in the context of the CP violating MSSM. In a given channel we show that the cross-section for all i (=1,2,3) can be above 0.1 fb provided $M_{H_{2,3}}\la 300$ GeV. This should be detectable at a Next Linear Collider and would provide evidence for scalar-pseudoscalar mixing.
We present the analytical and numerical investigations of top-charm associated production at the LHC in the framework of the R-parity violating MSSM. The numerical analysis of their production rates is carried out in the mSUGRA scenario with some typical parameter sets. The results show that the cross sections of associated $t\bar{c}(\bar{t}c)$ production via gluon-gluon fusion can reach 5% of that via $d\bar{d}$ annihilation. The total cross section will reach the order of $10 \sim 10^2 ~fb$ and the cross sections are strongly related to the R-parity violating parameters.
We study how effects of the CP violation can be observed indirectly by precision measurements of Higgs boson couplings at a future Higgs factory such as the international linear collider. We consider two Higgs doublet models with the softly broken discrete symmetry. We find that by measuring the Higgs boson couplings very precisely we are able to distinguish the two Higgs doublet model with CP violation from the CP conserving one.
We study the effects on oscillations in the neutral-Kaon system from lepton and hadron self-energy loops in the W-boson propagators. The corresponding W box diagrams are evaluated by attaching the external quark lines to covariant vertex functions for the composite Kaons, integrating over all off-shell momenta. We find that the ratio of the imaginary and real parts of the amplitude is of the same size as with the experimental value of the modulus of the CP-violating parameter epsilon.
We review some recent theoretical results on radiative rare kaon decays. Particular attention is devoted to the channels $K\to πl\bar{% l}$ and $K\to ππγ$, where we are (or might be) able to extract the short distance contributions. This is achieved by a careful study of the long distance part. We study also CP violating observables, which are sensitive also to extensions of the SM. As byproduct, we discuss interesting chiral tests.
The amplitudes of $K \rightarrow πγ^* \rightarrow πe^+e^-$ and $K \rightarrow ππγ$ decays have been calculated within chiral Lagrangian approach including higher-order derivative terms and meson loops. The selfconsistency of the simultaneous description of the experimental data on the nonleptonic and radiative kaon decays have been demonstrated. We estimate the effects of ``indirect'' and ``direct'' $CP$-violation in $K^0_L \rightarrow π^0 e^+e^-$ decays and discuss $CP$-violating charge asymmetries in $K^{\pm} \rightarrow π^{\pm} π^0 γ$ decays.
We study the neutral Higgs boson production at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and the future $e^- e^+$ linear collider (ILC) in the two Higgs doublet model with CP violation. The CP-even and CP-odd scalars are mixed in this model, which affects the production processes of neutral Higgs boson. We examine the correlation of the Higgs production at LHC and ILC and provide a strategy to distinguish the model from the CP conserving model and to determine the parameters of the Higgs sector.
A benchmark CP-violating supersymmetric scenario (known in the literature as `CPX-scenario') is studied in the context of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). It is shown that the LHC, with low to moderate accumulated luminosity, will be able to probe the existing `hole' in the $m_{h_1}$-$\tanβ$ plane, which cannot be ruled out by the Large Electron Positron Collider data. This can be done through associated production of Higgs bosons with top quark and top squark pairs leading to the signal \emph{dilepton + $\leq{5}$ jets (including 3 b-jets) + missing ${p_T}$}. Efficient discrimination of such a…
The doubly charged Higgs bosons $Δ^{--}$ that are present in exotic Higgs representations can have lepton-number-violating couplings to $e^-e^-$. We discuss general constraints and phenomenology for the $Δ^{--}$ and demonstrate that extremely small values for the $e^-e^-\rightarrowΔ^{--}$ coupling (some 8 orders of magnitude smaller than the current limit) would produce observable signals for $Δ^{--}$ production in direct $s$-channel production at an $e^-e^-$ collider.
We discuss the time dependent interferences between $K_L$ and $K_S$ in the decays in $3π$ and $ππγ$, to be studied at interferometry machines such as the $ϕ$-factory and LEAR. We emphasize the possibilities and the advantages of using interferences, in comparison with width measurements, to obtain information both on $CP$ conserving and $CP$ violating amplitudes. Comparison with present data and suggestions for future experiments are made.
We investigate the resonant production of the lighter sbottom at the proposed Large Hadron Electron Collider and its subsequent decay into $e^- + jet$ final state, under the single coupling dominance hypothesis in the framework of the $R$-parity-violating minimal supersymmetric standard model. It is concluded that the LHeC running at the high electron beam energy configuration of $E_e = 150 {\rm GeV}$ would provide excellent opportunities to search for the sbottom resonance and probe the lepton-number-violating $\hat{L}\hat{Q}\hat{D}$ $λ^{\prime}_{113}$-type Yukawa interaction. With about $1 f…
We study the decay rate of process B->K l+ l- (l=e,mu) and some of its other related observables, like forward backward asymmetry (A_{FB}), polarization asymmetry (PA) and CP-asymmetry (A_{CP}) in R-parity violating (R_{p}) Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). The analysis shows that R_{p}Yukawa coupling products contribute significantly to the branching fraction of B->K l+ l- within 1 sigma and 2 sigma. Study shows that PA and A_{FB} are sensitive enough to R_{p}Yukawa coupling products and turn out to be good predictions for measurement in future experiments. The CP-asymmetry calcula…
Owing to the strong suppression of flavour-changing neutral-current transitions in the Standard Model, rare kaon decays constitute a superb tool to constrain hypothetical new-physics interactions. At the same time, they provide many interesting tests of the Standard Model itself, being sensitive both to short-distance electroweak scales and to the long-distance QCD dynamics. A brief overview of the current status is presented. The Standard Model prediction for the direct CP-violating ratio $\varepsilon'/\varepsilon$ is also discussed.
A sterile neutrino at GeV mass scale is of particular interest in this work. Though not take part in neutrino oscillation, the sterile neutrino can induce flavor violating semileptonic and leptonic decay of $K, D$ and $B$ mesons. We calculated a box diagram contribution in these processes. By making use of current experiment limit of lepton flavor violating decays $M^+_h\to M_l^+\ell_1^+\ell_2^-$ and $M^0\to \ell_1^-\ell_2^+$, we explore the allowed parameter space of $U_{e4}$ and $U_{μ4}$ in different mass ranges. Generally speaking, both channels give a limit to the product of $U_{e4}$ and $…
It is shown that in R-parity violating models of supersymmetry, the CP violation observed in the kaon system could arise purely from the R-parity violating scalar interactions (A-terms), with no CP violation in the CKM matrix. The direct CP violating parameter, epsilon', could be as large or larger than that expected in the Standard Model. CP violation in the B system however is expected to be negligible.
We describe possible kaon physics goals to achieve with a high luminosity phi-factory. We motivate the relevance to improve the present bounds on CPT kaon physics quantities. Also, the interferometer machine phi-factory is useful to study CP violating/conserving effects in kaon decays. Thus we investigate K --> 3 pi amplitudes: charge asymmetries are interesting in charged kaon decays. In the case of neutral kaon decays one can study directely K_S --> 3 pi or interferences effects. Interference may also be used to study the CP even K_S -->pi+ pi- pi0 and final state interactions.
We examine effects of final state interactions (FSI) in kaon decays using a new scheme without the Omnes function, and show that while Delta I=1/2 rule is impossible to be explained in terms of FSI alone, $ε'/ε\sim 16.5\times 10^{-4}$ is obtained through FSI, if the calculation is concerned only with the CP-violating parts. The pi-pi contribution to the m_L-m_S mass difference is shown to be about 0.14, if the sizes of the CP conserving amplitudes A_0 and A_2 are correctly given.
We calculate the cumulants and correlation functions of net-kaon multiplicity distributions in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 7.7$ GeV using a multiphase transport model (AMPT) with both a new coalescence mechanism and all charge conservation laws. The AMPT model can qualitatively describe the centrality dependences of the net-kaon cumulants and cumulant ratios measured by the STAR experiment. By focusing on the stage evolution of the cumulants, cumulant ratios, and correlation functions, we reveal several key effects on the fluctuations and correlations of strangeness during the dynamic…
We relate the asymmetries in the charged pions energy in the decay into $π^+π^-π^0$ of $K_L$ and of the tagged neutral kaons. The former asymmetry is a given combination of $\Re(ε)$, $\Im(ε)$, and $|ε'|$. Moreover, the non-violating CP asymmetry allows a test for the $χ$PT predictions within the Zel'dovich approach for the final state interaction.
We studied the process $e^{+}e^{-} \to t\bar{c}+c\bar{t}$ in a R_{p} violating supersymmetric model with effects from both B- and L-violating interactions. The calculation shows that it is possible to either detect the R_{p} violating signal at the Next Linear Collider or get more stringent constraints on the heavy-flavor $\rlap/R_{p}$ couplings. A comparision with results from $γγ\to t\bar{c}+ c\bar{t}$ may allow to distinguish between B- and L-violating interactions. For very clean background conditions and R_{p} violation parameters close to present limits, a future detection of B-violating…
After a brief introduction to the so-called flavour problem, we discuss the role of rare K decays in probing the mechanism of quark-flavour mixing. Particular attention is devoted to the formulation of the Minimal Flavour Violation hypothesis, as a general and natural solution to the flavour problem, and to the fundamental role of K -> pi nu nu-bar decays in testing this scenario.
We study the impact that future lepton flavor violating experiments will have on the viable parameter space of the scotogenic model. Within this model, the dark matter particle is assumed to be the lightest singlet fermion and two cases are considered depending on how its relic density is obtained: via self-annihilations or via coannihilations with the scalars. For each case, a scan over the parameter space of the model is used to obtain a large sample of viable points, which we subsequently analyze. We find that future lepton flavor violating experiments, in particular those searching for $μ\…
A benchmark CP-violating supersymmetric scenario (known as 'CPX-scenario' in the literature) is studied in the context of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). It is shown that the LHC, with low to moderate accumulated luminosity, will be able to probe the existing `hole' in the $m_{h_1}$-$\tanβ$ plane, which cannot be ruled out by the LEP data. We explore the parameter space with cascade decay of third generation squarks and gluino with CP-violating decay branching fractions. We propose a multi-channel analysis to probe this parameter space some of which are background free at an integrated lumino…
We present a phenomenological study of a CP-violating two-Higgs-doublet Model with type-II Yukawa couplings at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). In the light of recent LHC data, we focus on the parameter space that survives the current and past experimental constraints as well as theoretical bounds on the model. Once the phenomenological scenario is set, we analyse the scope of the LHC in exploring this model through the discovery of a charged Higgs boson produced in association with a W boson, with the former decaying into the lightest neutral Higgs and a second W state, altogether yielding a …
The discrepancy between the measured value and the Standard Model prediction of the muon anomalous magnetic moment is one of the most important issues in the particle physics. It is known that introducing a mediator boson X with the $μτ$ lepton flavor violating (LFV) couplings is one good solution to explain the discrepancy, due to the $τ$ mass enhancement in the one-loop correction. In this paper, we study the signal of this model, i.e. the same-sign leptons, in the Belle II experiment, assuming the flavor-diagonal couplings are suppressed. We show that the Belle II experiment is highly sensi…
The rare kaon decay $K^+ \ra π^- μ^+ μ^+$ is violating lepton number by two units and is investigated within the context of Majorana neutrino masses. Using a new upper bound for this decay from E865 an upper limit on the effective Majorana mass term $\m_{μμ} < 500$ GeV could be obtained. This is improving existing bounds by about one order of magnitude. Implications on heavy neutrinos are discusse d as well as future possibilities to improve limits on this as well as other elements of the Majorana m ass matrix are investigated.
We discuss lepton number violating processes in the context of long-baseline neutrino oscillations. We summarise and compare neutrino flavour oscillations in quantum mechanics and quantum field theory, both for standard oscillations and for those that violate lepton number. When the active neutrinos are Majorana in nature, the required helicity reversal gives a strong suppression by the neutrino mass over the energy, $(m_ν/E_ν)^{2}$. Instead, the presence of non-standard lepton number violating interactions incorporating right-handed lepton currents at production or detection alleviate the mas…
We present a comprehensive update of the bounds on R-Parity violating supersymmetric couplings from lepton-flavour- and lepton-number-violating decay processes. We consider tau and mu decays as well as leptonic and semi-leptonic decays of mesons. We present several new bounds resulting from tau, eta and Kaon decays and correct some results in the literature concerning B-meson decays.
We probe the SUSY at the $10 \ {\rm TeV}$ scale in the rare decays and the CP violation of the kaon. We focus on the processes of $K_L \to π^0 ν{\bar ν}$ and $K^+ \to π^+ ν{\bar ν}$ combined with the CP violating parameters $ε_K$ and $ε_K^\prime/ε_K$. The Z-penguin mediated by the chargino loop cannot enhance $K_L \to π^0 ν{\bar ν}$ and $K^+ \to π^+ ν{\bar ν}$ because the left-right mixing of the stop is constrained by the $125$ GeV Higgs mass. On the other hand, the Z-penguin mediated by the gluino loop can enhance the branching ratios of both $K_L \to π^0 ν{\bar ν}$ and $K^+ \to π^+ ν{\bar ν…
In topcolor-assisted technicolor models (TC2) the hitherto unconstrained lepton flavor mixing induced by the new gauge boson $Z'$ will lead to the lepton flavor violating productions of $τ\bar μ$, $τ\bar e$ and $μ\bar e$ in photon-photon collision at the proposed International Linear Collider (ILC). Through a comparative analysis of these processes, we find that the better channels to probe the TC2 is the production of $τ\bar μ$ or $τ\bar e$ which occurs at a much higher rate than $μ\bar e$ production due to the large mixing angle and the large flavor changing coupling, and may reach the detec…
We discuss experimental probes of isospin-violating dark matter (IVDM), including direct and indirect detection strategies. We point out the important role which IVDM plays in understanding recent data regarding low-mass dark matter, and describe strategies for finding evidence of IVDM at current and upcoming experiments.

We investigated the lepton flavor violation processes $p\bar{p} \to eμ+X$ induced by R-parity violating interactions at the Tevatron hadron collider. The theoretical calculation and Monte Carlo simulation demonstrate that with a set of suitable cuts on experimental observables, one might be capable to reduce the standard model physical background to a controllable level so that the signals of R-parity violating interactions could be detected distinctively. Furthermore, clear sneutrino information could be abstracted from the purified event sample where other SUSY scalar quark 'pollution' is he…
The lepton-flavor violation (LFV) effect at an $e^+e^-$ linear collider (LC), in the frame of R-parity violating minimal supersymmetric standard model is studied. We take the R-parity violating processes $e^+e^-\to e^{\mp}μ^{\pm}$ as signal, and define the summation of the two processes as ``experiment'' observable. We find that the cross-section summation can reach $\cal{O}$$(10^1)fb$ in the parameter space without sneutrino resonance effect($\sqrt{s} \sim m_{\tildeν}$). The summation treatment manifests uniform differential distribution on $\cosθ$, where $θ$ denotes the polar angles of both …
The measurement of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon exhibits a long standing discrepancy compared to the Standard model prediction. In this paper, we concentrate on this issue in the framework of $R$-parity violating Minimal supersymmetric standard model. Such a scenario provides substantial contribution to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon while satisfying constraints from low energy experimental observables as well as neutrino mass. In addition, we point out that the implication of such operators satisfying muon $g-2$ are immense from the perspective of the LHC experiment, l…
Recently, several anomalies in flavor physics have been observed, and it was noticed that leptoquarks might account for the deviations from the Standard Model. In this work, we examine the effects of new physics originating from a scalar leptoquark model on the kaon sector. The leptoquark we consider is a TeV-scale particle and within the reach of the LHC. We use the existing experimental data on the several kaon processes including $K^{0}-\bar{K}^{0}$ mixing, rare decays $K^{+} \rightarrow π^{+} ν\barν$, $ K_L \rightarrow π^0 ν\barν$, short-distance part of $K_L\rightarrow μ^{+}μ^{-}$, and le…
We consider the sneutrino resonance reaction l^+ l^- -> sneutrino -> tau^+ tau^- in the MSSM without R-parity. We introduce new CP-violating and CP-conserving tau-spin asymmetries which are generated already at the tree-level if there is sneutrino - sneutrino-bar mixing and that are forbidden in the SM. It is remarkable that these spin asymmetries can reach ~75% around resonance for a sneutrino mass splitting of Δm ~ Γand ~10% for a splitting as low as Δm ~ 0.1Γ, where Γis the sneutrino width. We show that they are easily detectable already at LEP2 so long as the beam energy is within ~10 GeV …
