We studied the magnetic properties of self-assembled aggregates of BiFeO3 nanoparticles (~ 20-40 nm). The aggregates formed two different structures - one with limited and another with massive cross-linking - via `drying-mediated self-assembly' process following dispersion of the nanoparticles within different organic solvents. They exhibit large coercivity H_C (>1000 Oe) and exchange bias field H_E (~ 350-900 Oe) in comparison to what is observed in isolated nanoparticles (H_C ~ 250 Oe; H_E ~ 0). The H_E turns out to be switching from negative to positive depending on the structure of the aggregates with |H_E| being larger. The magnetic force microscopy reveals the magnetic domains (extending across 7-10 nanoparticles) as well as the domain switching characteristics and corroborate the results of magnetic measurements. Numerical simulation of the `drying-mediated-self-assembly' process shows that the nanoparticle-solvent interaction plays an important role in forming the `nanoparticle aggregate structures' observed experimentally. Numerical simulation of the magnetic hysteresis loops, on the other hand, points out the importance of spin pinning at the surface of nanoparticles as a result of surface functionalization of the particles in different suspension media. Depending on the concentration of pinned spins at the surface pointing preferably along the easy-axis direction - from greater than 50\% to less than 50% - H_E switches from negative to positive. Quite aside from bulk sample and isolated nanoparticle, nanoparticle aggregates - resulting from surface functionalization - therefore, offer remarkable tunability of properties depending on structures.
In the present work, the formation of silver and copper nanostructures on highly oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) modified with self-assembled gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) is demonstrated. Surface patterning with nanometer resolution was achieved. Different methods such as field emission scanning electron microscopy (FEGSEM), energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) were used to illustrate a selective deposition of silver and copper on Au NPs. The mechanism of silver and copper ions reduction on Au NP with $n$-dodecanethiol coating is discussed.

We analyze the motion of single electrons on and off the nanoparticle through the tunneling current, the displacement current and the charging-induced electrostatic force on the vibrating nanoprobe. We demonstrate the mechanical single-electron turnstile effect by applying the theory to a gold nanoparticle connected to the gold substrate through alkan…
We report about a combined structural and magnetometric characterization of self-assembled magnetic nanoparticle arrays. Monodisperse iron oxide nanoparticles with a diameter of 20 nm were synthesized by thermal decomposition. The nanoparticle suspension was spin-coated on Si substrates to achieve self-organized arrays of particles and subsequently annealed at various conditions. The samples were characterized by x-ray diffraction, bright and dark field high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). The structural analysis is compared to the magnetic behavior investigated by superco…
We present a microscopic theory of single-electron tunneling through metallic nanoparticles connected to the electrodes through molecular bridges. It combines the theory of electron transport through molecular junctions with the description of the charging dynamics on the nanoparticles. We apply the theory to study single-electron tunneling through a gold nanoparticle connected to the gold electrodes through two representative benzene-based molecules. We calculate the background charge on the nanoparticle induced by the charge transfer between the nanoparticle and linker molecules, the capacit…
We report a technique which allows self-assembly of conducting nanoparticles into long continuous chains. Transport properties of such chains have been studied at low temperatures. At low bias voltages, the charges are pinned and the chain resistance is exponentially high. Above a certain threshold ($V_{T}$), the system enters a conducting state. The threshold voltage is much bigger than the Coulomb gap voltage for a single particle and decreases linearly with increasing temperature. A sharp threshold was observed up to about 77 K. Such chains may be used as switchable links in Coulomb charge …
This work presents a cost-effective alternative technology for the formation of nanostructured semiconductor materials for tunable light emitting devices. CdS and ZnS semiconducting colloid nanoparticles coated with organic shell, containing either SO3- or NH3+ groups, were deposited as thin films using the technique of electrostatic self-assembly. The films produced were characterized with UV-vis spectroscopy, spectroscopic ellipsometry and AFM. UV-vis spectra show a substantial blue shift of the main absorption band of both CdS and ZnS with respect to the bulk materials due to the phenomenon…
Self-assembled functionalized nano particles are at the focus of a number of potential applications, in particular for molecular scale electronics devices. Here we perform experiments of self-assembly of 10 nm Au nano particles (NPs), functionalized by a dense layer of azobenzene-bithiophene (AzBT) molecules, with the aim of building a light-switchable device with memristive properties. We fabricate planar nanodevices consisting of NP self-assembled network (NPSANs) contacted by nanoelectrodes separated by interelectrode gaps ranging from 30 to 100 nm. We demonstrate the light-induced reversib…
We analyze transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images of self-assembled quasicrystals, composed of binary systems of nanoparticles. We use an automated procedure that identifies the positions of dislocations and determines their topological character. To achieve this we decompose the quasicrystal into its individual density modes, or Fourier components, and identify their topological winding numbers for every dislocation. This procedure associates a Burgers function with each dislocation, from which we extract the components of the Burgers vector after choosing a basis. The Burgers vectors …

Finite Differences (FD) method were used for the solution of the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation. Magnetic configurations exhibiting Néel skyrmionic formations were detected. The magnetic skyrmions can be created in different systems generated by the variation of external field, side length and width of the squared-based parallelepiped m…
We report a detailed study of neuromorphic switching behaviour in inherently complex percolating networks of self-assembled metal nanoparticles. We show that variation of the strength and duration of the electric field applied to this network of synapse-like atomic switches allows us to control the switching dynamics. Switching is observed for voltages above a well-defined threshold, with higher voltages leading to increased switching rates. We demonstrate two behavioral archetypes and show how the switching dynamics change as a function of duration and amplitude of the voltage stimulus. We sh…
Light-based nanowelding of metallic nanoparticles is of particular interest because it provides convenient and controlled means for the conversion of nanoparticles into microstructures and fabrication of nanodevices. Here, we demonstrated the wavelength dependence of laser-induced nanowelded shapes of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). We observed that the nanowelded microstructures illuminated by the 405 nm laser only were more branched than those formed with illumination of both the 405 nm and 532 nm lasers. We quantified this observation by several compactness descriptors and examined the depend…
We report on self-assembled iron oxide nanoparticle films on silicon substrates. In addition to homogeneously assembled layers, we fabricated patterned trenches of 40-1000 nm width using electron beam lithography for the investigation of assisted self-assembly. The nanoparticles with a diameter of 20 nm +/- 7% were synthesized by thermal decomposition of iron oleate complexes in trioctylamine in presence of oleic acid. Samples with different track widths and nanoparticle concentration were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and by superconducting quantum interference device magnetom…
This is the first report on the critical nature of nanolattice formability of different particle size (~4-10nm) of monodispersed nickel nanoparticles. They exhibit strikingly hexagonal close-packed (hcp) nanolattices without extra forces, whenever trioctylphosphine is (one of) the surfactant(s). This clearly establishes the unique role of nanolattice formability of trioctylphosphine. The c/a ratios are interestingly identical to those of atomic lattices. An attempt has also been made to explain them based on the balanced attractive and repulsive forces of the surfactant-generated cation-anion …
Metallic nanoparticles offer possibilities to build basic electric devices with new functionality and improved performance. Due to the small volume and the resulting low self-capacitance, each single nanoparticle exhibits a high charging energy. Thus, a Coulomb-energy gap emerges during transport experiments that can be shifted by electric fields, allowing for charge transport whenever energy levels of neighboring particles match. Hence, the state of the device changes sequentially between conducting and non-conducting instead of just one transition from conducting to pinch-off as in semicondu…
Films of close-packed Au nanoparticles are coupled electrodynamically through their collective plasmon resonances. This collective optical response results in enhanced light-matter interactions, which can be exploited in various applications. Here, we demonstrate their application in sensing volatile organic compounds, using methanol as a test-case. Ordered films over several cm2 were obtained by interfacial self-assembly of colloidal Au nanoparticles (~10 nm diameter) through controlled evaporation of the solvent. Even though isolated nanoparticles of this size are inherently non-scattering, …
Thermomagnetic measurements are used to obtain the size distribution and anisotropy of magnetic nanoparticles. An analytical transformation method is described which utilizes temperature-dependent zero-field cooling (ZFC) magnetization data to provide a quantitative measurement of the average diameter and relative abundance of superparamagnetic nanoparticles. Applying this method to self-assembled MnAs nanoparticles in MnAs-GaAs composite films reveals a log-normal size distribution and reduced anisotropy for nanoparticles compared to bulk materials. This analytical technique holds promise for…
We have investigated the room temperature ferromagnetic order that develops in Al-substituted magnesium oxide, Mg(Al)O, nanoparticles with Al fractions of up to 5 at.%. All samples, including undoped MgO nanoparticles, exhibit room temperature ferromagnetism, with the saturation magnetization reaching a maximum of 0.023 emu/g at 2 at.% of Al. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy identifies the presence of oxygen vacancies in both doped and undoped MgO nanoparticles, with the vacancy concentration increasing upon vacuum annealing of Mg(Al)O, resulting in two-fold enhancement of the saturation magne…
We demonstrate how the controlled positioning of a plasmonic nanoparticle modifies the photoluminescence of a single epitaxial GaAs quantum dot. The antenna particle leads to an increase of the luminescence intensity by about a factor of eight. Spectrally and temporally resolved photoluminescence measurements prove an increase of the quantum dot's excitation rate. The combination of stable epitaxial quantum emitters and plasmonic nanostructures promises to be highly beneficial for nanoscience and quantum optics.
We report the precise control of tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) in devices of self-assembled core/shell Fe$_3$O$_4$/Co$_{1-x}$Zn$_x$Fe$_2$O$_4$ nanoparticles ($0\leq x\leq 1$). Adjusting the magnetic anisotropy through the content of Co$^{2+}$ in the shell, provides an accurate tool to control the switching field between the bistable states of the TMR. In this way, different combinations of soft/hard and hard/soft core/shell configurations can be envisaged for optimizing devices with the required magnetotransport response.
We demonstrate switching behavior and quantized conductance at room temperature in percolating films of nanoparticles. Our experiments and complementary simulations show that switching and quantization result from formation of atomic scale wires in gaps between particles. These effects occur only when tunnel gaps are present in the film, close to the percolation threshold.
We report room temperature ferromagnetism in Ni doped CeO2 nanoparticles using X-ray diffraction (XRD), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), and dc magnetization measurements. Nanoparticles of Ce1-xNixO2 (0.0 \leq x \leq 0.10) were prepared by using a co-precipitation method. XRD measurements indicate that all samples exhibit single phase nature with cubic structure and ruled out the presence of any secondary phase. Lattice parameters, strain and particle size calculated from XRD data have been found to decrease with increase in Ni doping. Inter-planner distance measured …
We report on the polarized neutron reflectometry investigation of monolayer of magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles assembled by the Langmuir-Schaefer method. After deposition onto a solid substrate the polarized neutron reflectometry measurements in the external magnetic field were carried out. Thickness, density, roughness and in-depth resolved magnetization profile of the resulted layer were obtained from accurate fitting routine.
We demonstrate room temperature detection of single 20 nm super-paramagnetic nanoparticles (SPNs) with a wide-field optical microscope platform suitable for biological integration. The particles are made of magnetite (Fe3O4) and are thus non-toxic and biocompatible. Detection is accomplished via optically detected magnetic resonance imaging using nitrogen-vacancy defect centers in diamond, resulting in a DC magnetic field detection limit of 2.3 μT. This marks a large step forward in the detection of SPNs, and we expect that it will allow for the development of magnetic-field-based biosensors c…
Multiferroic materials have driven significant research interest due to their promising technological potential. Developing new room-temperature multiferroics and understanding their fundamental properties are important to reveal unanticipated physical phenomena and potential applications. Here, a new room temperature multiferroic nanocomposite comprised of an ordered ferrimagnetic spinel LiFe5O8 (LFO) and a ferroelectric perovskite BiFeO3 (BFO) is presented. We observed that lithium (Li)-doping in BFO favors the formation of LFO spinel as a secondary phase during the synthesis of LixBi1-xFeO3…
In this paper, we report on the charge transport properties of hybrid nanoparticles (NPs) based on the polymeric 1D compound [Fe(Htrz)2(trz)](BF4), which is one of the most promising SCO systems for designing electronic devices. In particular, we used for the first time hybrid SCO NPs covered with a silica shell and placed in between single-layer graphene electrodes. We evidence a reproducible thermal hysteresis loop in the conductance above room-temperature, meaning that no degradation of the current levels has been detected; we thus conclude that the robustness of the spin-transition is sign…
Origin of room temperature visible photoluminescence (PL) from defect free germanium (Ge) nanoparticles have been discussed here. The Ge nanoparticles produced by laser-induced etching technique show broad visible PL around 2.0 - 2.2 eV at room temperature. Size dependent PL peak shift in Ge nanoparticles has been explained in terms of quantum confinement. Theoretical calculations of radiative lifetime using oscillator strength, which is closely related to the size of the nanostructures, suggests that the PL is originating from a radiative recombination process in quantum confined Ge nanostruc…
ZnO nanoparticles with Wurtzite structure were prepared by chemical methods at low temperature in aqueous solution. Nanoparticles are in the range from about 10 to 30 nm. Ferromagnetic properties were observed from 2 K to room temperature and above. Magnetization vs temperature, M(T) and isothermal measurements M(H) were determined. The coercive field clearly shows ferromagnetism above room temperature. The chemical synthesis, structural defects in the bulk related to oxygen vacancies are the main factors for the observed magnetic behavior. PACS numbers: 61.46.Hk Nanocrystals, 75.50.Pp Magneti…
A numerical method for calculation electronic structure of a nanosystem composed of a pseudoisocyanine (PIC) molecule assembled on a silver nanoparticle is developed. The electronic structure of the silver nanoparticle containing 125 atoms is calculated within the local density version of the density functional method. A model of an Ag atom embedded in the center of a spherical jellium cluster is used. The host electron Green function is calculated by means of the spherically symmetric expansion. The principal theoretical tool is the scattering theory using the Green function method. The molec…
In order to better understand the origin of multiple quantum transitions observed in superparamagnetic nanoparticles, electron magnetic resonance (EMR) studies have been performed on iron oxide nanoparticles assembled inside the anodic alumina membrane. The positions of both the main resonance and "forbidden" (double-quantum, 2Q) transitions observed at the half-field demonstrate the characteristic angular dependence with the line shifts proportional to 3cos2q-1, where q is the angle between the channel axis and external magnetic field B. This result can be attributed to the interparticle dipo…
Magnetic nanoparticles are important building blocks for future technologies ranging from nano-medicine to spintronics. Many related applications require nanoparticles with tailored magnetic properties. However, despite significant efforts undertaken towards this goal, a broad and poorly-understood dispersion of magnetic properties is reported, even within mono-disperse samples of the canonical ferromagnetic 3d transition metals. We address this issue by investigating the magnetism of a large number of size- and shape-selected, individual nanoparticles of Fe, Co, and Ni using a unique set of c…
Low-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenide, TMDC, materials are heralding a new era in optoelectronics and valleytronics owing to their unique properties. Photo-induced dynamics in these systems has mostly been studied from the perspective of individual quasi-particles, including excitons, bi-excitons or, even, trions. Their formation, evolution and decay. The role of multi-body and exciton dynamics, the associated collective behaviour, condensation and inter-excitonic interactions remain intriguing and seek attention, especially in room-temperature scenarios which are relevant for device…
The realization of self-assembled molecular-electronic films, whose room-temperature transport properties are controlled by quantum interference (QI), is an essential step in the scale-up QI effects from single molecules to parallel arrays of molecules. Recently, the effect of destructive QI (DQI) on the electrical conductance of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) has been investigated. Here, through a combined experimental and theoretical investigation, we demonstrate chemical control of different forms of constructive QI (CQI) in cross-plane transport through SAMs and assess its influence on c…
Nanoscience offers a unique opportunity to design modern materials from the bottom up, via low-cost, solution processed assembly of nanoscale building blocks. These systems promise electronic band structure engineering using not only the nanoscale structural modulation, but also the mesoscale spatial patterning, although experimental realization of the latter has been challenging. Here we design and fabricate a new type of artificial solid by stacking graphene on a self-assembled, nearly periodic array of nanospheres, and experimentally observe superlattice miniband effects. We find conductanc…
: Understanding the correlations between magnetic nanoparticles is important for nanotechnologies, such as high-density magnetic recording and biomedical applications, where functionalized magnetic particles are used as contrast agents and for drug delivery. The ability to control the magnetic state of individual particles depends on the good knowledge of magnetic correlations between particles when assembled. Inaccessible via standard magnetometry techniques, nanoscale magnetic ordering in self-assemblies of Fe3O4 nanoparticles is here unveiled via x-ray resonant magnetic scattering (XRMS). M…
We study a simple model of a self-assembled, room temperature Coulomb-blockade nanostructure containing a metallic nanocrystal or grain connected by soft molecular links to two metallic electrodes. Self-excitation of periodic grain vibrations at 10 - 100 GHz is shown to be possible for a sufficiently large bias voltage leading to a novel `shuttle mechanism' of discrete charge transfer and a current through the nanostructure proportional to the vibration frequency. For the case of weak electromechanical coupling an analytical approach is developed which together with Monte Carlo simulations sho…

This is translating into growing efforts integrating a wider range of materials onto key technology platforms1 - in photonics, one such platform is silica, a passive, low loss and robust medium crucial for efficient optical transport2. Active functionalisation, either through added gain or nonlinearity, is mostly possible through the integration of active materials3, 4. The high temperatures used in manufacturing of …
This paper reports the effect of Fe doping on the structure and room temperature ferromagnetism of CeO2 nanoparticles. X-ray diffraction and selective area electron diffraction measurement reflects that Ce1-xFexO2 (x = 0.0 - 0.07) nanoparticles exhibit single phase nature with cubic structure and none of the sample showed the presence of any secondary phase. The mean particle size calculated by using a transmission electron microscopy measurement was found to increase with increase in Fe content. DC magnetization measurements performed at room temperature indicates that all the samples exhibit…

We report the synthesis of cobalt nanoparticles with different shapes and sizes by rapid pyrolysis of cobalt carbonyl in the presence of various surfactants. The size and shape of the nanoparticles were influenced by reaction conditions, such as type of the surfactant, molar ratio of surfactant to precursor, reflux temperature and reaction time. The shapes that we have achieved include spherical, nearly spherical, disc and cube. The presence of linear amine yielded nanodiscs and they spontaneously self-assembled into long ribbons. The effect of shape anisotropy on magnetic nanoparticles has be…

Mn2+ ion doping is used as an electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) probe to investigate the influence of low-coordination structural defects such as step edges at the surface of terraced (001) MgO nanoparticles on the electronic properties. Beside the well-known hyperfine sextet of Mn2+ ions in the cubic crystal field of MgO, an additional EPR feature with a striking non-monotonous temperature dependent shift of the g-factor is observed in terraced nanoparticles in the temperature range from 4K to room temperature. By linking the difference in the temperature dependence of the Mn2+ sextet int…
Near room temperature, thin films of MnAs spontaneously align into two phases, one ferromagnetic and the other paramagnetic. These two phases take the intriguing form of nanoscale "wires." In this experiment, we investigate the spontaneous formation of ordered linear arrays of magnetite nanoparticles on MnAs thin films using scanning probe microscopy.
We report the magnetotransport properties of self-assembled Co@CoO nanoparticle arrays at temperatures below 100 K. Resistance shows thermally activated behavior that can be fitted by the general expression of R exp{(T/T0)^v}. Efros-Shklovskii variable range hopping (v=1/2) and simple activation (hard gap, v=1) dominate the high and low temperature region, respectively, with a strongly temperature-dependent transition regime in between. A giant positive magnetoresistance of >1,400% is observed at 10K, which decreases with increasing temperature. The positive MR and most of its features can be …
Ultrafine (2-5 nm) particles of amorphous Ca-Mg co-doped ferrihydrite have been synthesized by surfactant mediated co-precipitation method. The evolution of the amorphous ferrihydrite by Ca-Mg co-doping is quite different from our earlier investigations on individual Ca and Mg doping studies. Amorphous phase of ferrihydrite for the present study has been confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Mössbauer spectroscopy at room temperature and low temperatures (40 K and 20 K). Hematite nanoparticles with crystallite size about 8, 38 and 70 nm were obtained after annealing the as-prepared samples …
Confinement has been suggested as a tool to tune the self-assembly properties of nanoparticles, surfactants, polymers and colloids. In this way, we explore the phase diagram of Janus nanoparticles using Molecular Dynamics simulations. The nanoparticle was modeled as a dimer made by one monomer that interacts by a standard Lennard Jones potential and another monomer that is modeled using a two-length scale shoulder potential. This specific design of nanoparticle exhibits in bulk distinct self-assembled structures and water-like diffusion anomaly. Our results indicate that besides the aggregates…
Cobalt carbide nanoparticles were processed using polyol reduction chemistry that offers high product yields in a cost effective single-step process. Particles are shown to be acicular in morphology and typically assembled as clusters with room temperature coercivities greater than 4 kOe and maximum energy products greater than 20 KJ/m3. Consisting of Co3C and Co2C phases, the ratio of phase volume, particle size, and particle morphology all play important roles in determining permanent magnet properties. Further, the acicular particle shape provides an enhancement to the coercivity via dipola…
In the present study we compare a structure of a Langmuir film assembled from magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles on water surface and a structure of the same film after its transfer to a solid substrate by the Langmuir-Schaefer method. In contrast to most of related studies, where different techniques are used to characterize the films before and after the deposition, we use the same combination of X-ray reflectometry and Grazing Incidence Small-Angle X-ray scattering. In both cases -- on a liquid and on a solid substrate -- the film was identified as a well-ordered monolayer of the nanoparticl…
In present study we exploited Langmuir technique to produce self-assembled arrays composed of monodisperse iron oxide nanoparticles 10 nm and 20 nm in diameter and of their binary mixture. A combination of in-situ X-ray reflectometry and Grazing-incident small-Angle X-ray scattering was used to obtain in-plane and out-of-plane structure of the arrays directly on the water surface. Surface pressure isotherms and X-ray reflectometry analysis showed that monodisperse 10 nm nanoparticles form a highly ordered monolayer, while 20 nm particles pack in three-dimensional clusters with a short-range (n…
In this paper we show that the ionic conduction through surface chemisorbed ambient moisture leads to the remarkably high room temperature selective response towards hydrogen gas. The surface adsorbed moisture acts as surface states and shows ionic conduction, as a result of smaller size of ZnO nanoparticles of 20 +/- 5 nm. This response is enhanced remarkably i.e. from 10% to 190% for 1200 ppm H2 gas when p-type NiO quasi-nanowires (width ~50 nm) are mixed with these n-type ZnO nanoparticles to form a homogenous NiO/ZnO nano-bulk p-n heterostructure. The maximum response is obtained for about…
Recent simulations have studied the formation of patterns in a binary mixture of immiscible surfactants absorbed onto the surface of a spherical nanoparticle. The resulting patterns (Janus, spots and stripes) were in good agreement with experimental results. We perform dissipative particle dynamics (DPD) simulations to study the patterns obtained by adding a third surfactant to the monolayer as a guide towards increasing the richness and diversity of patchy particles synthesized this way. We predict a variety of new patterns that can be produced through different combinations of simple design …
Realizing strong light-matter interactions between individual 2-level systems and resonating cavities in atomic and solid state systems opens up possibilities to study optical nonlinearities on a single photon level, which can be useful for future quantum information processing networks. However, these efforts have been hampered by the unfavorable experimental conditions, such as cryogenic temperatures and ultrahigh vacuum, required to study such systems and phenomena. Although several attempts to realize strong light-matter interactions at room-temperature using so-called plasmon resonances h…
Silicon nanoparticles are experimentally investigated as a potential hyperpolarized, targetable MRI imaging agent. Nuclear T_1 times at room temperature for a variety of Si nanoparticles are found to be remarkably long (10^2 to 10^4 s) - roughly consistent with predictions of a core-shell diffusion model - allowing them to be transported, administered and imaged on practical time scales without significant loss of polarization. We also report surface functionalization of Si nanoparticles, comparable to approaches used in other biologically targeted nanoparticle systems.
The ability to create micro/nano patterns of organic self-assembled monolayers on semiconductor surfaces is crucial for fundamental studies and applications in a number of emerging fields in nanoscience. Here, we demonstrate the patterning of thiol molecular SAMs on oxide-free GaAs surface by dip-pen nanolithography and micro-contact printing, facilitated by a process of surface etching and passivation of the GaAs. A quantitative analysis on the molecular diffusion on GaAs was conducted by examining the writing of nanoscale dot and line patterns by DPN, which agrees well with surface diffusion…
Mesocrystals are nanostructured materials consisting of individual nanocrystals having a preferred crystallographic orientation.
