For $α\geq 1$, let $g:\mathbb N\to\mathbb R_+$ be given by $g(0)=0$, $g(1)=1$, $g(k)=(k/k-1)^α$, $k\geq 2$. Consider the symmetric nearest neighbour zero range process on the discrete torus $\mathbb T_L$ in which a particle jumps from a site, occupied by $k$ particles, to one of its neighbors with rate $g(k)$. Armendáriz and Loulakis\cite{al09} proved a strong form of the equivalence of ensembles for the invariant measure of the supercritical zero range process with $α>2$. We generalize their result to all $α\geq 1$.
We consider translation-invariant, finite range, supercritical contact processes. We show the existence of unbounded space-time cones within which the descendancy of the process from full occupancy may with positive probability be identical to that of the process from the single site at its apex. The proof comprises an argument that leans upon refinements of a successful coupling among these two processes, and is valid in $d$-dimensions.
We establish necessary and sufficient conditions for weak convergence to the upper invariant measure for asymmetric nearest neighbour zero range processes with non homogeneous jump rates. The class of environments considered is close to that considered by Andjel, Ferrari, Guiol and Landim, while our class of processes is broader. We also give a simpler proof of a result of Ferrari and Sisko with weaker assumptions.
We consider the contact process on a countable-infinite and connected graph of bounded degree. For this process started from the upper invariant measure, we prove certain uniform mixing properties under the assumption that the infection parameter is sufficiently large. In particular, we show that the projection of such a process onto a finite subset forms a process which is $ϕ$-mixing. The proof of this is based on large deviation estimates for the spread of an infection and general correlation inequalities. In the special case of the contact process on $\mathbb{Z}^d$, $d\geq1$, we furthermore…
Let $α\in(0,2)$ and $d\in\mathbb{N}$. Consider the following stochastic differential equation (SDE) driven by $α$-stable process in $\mathbb{R}^d$: $$ dX_t=b(X_t)dt+σ(X_{t-})d L^α_t, \quad X_0=x\in\mathbb{R}^d, $$ where $b:\mathbb{R}^d\to\mathbb{R}^d$ and $σ:\mathbb{R}^d\to\mathbb{R}^d\otimes\mathbb{R}^d$ are locally $γ$-Hölder continuous with $γ\in(0\vee(1-α)^+,1]$, $L^α_t$ is a $d$-dimensional rotationally invariant $α$-stable process. Under some dissipative and non-degenerate assumptions on $b,σ$, we show the $V$-uniformly exponential ergodicity for the semigroup $P_t$ associated with $(X_t…
We introduce the Mass Migration Process (MMP), a conservative particle system on ${\mathbb N}^{{\mathbb Z}^d}$. It consists in jumps of $k$ particles ($k\ge 1$) between sites, with a jump rate depending only on the state of the system at the departure and arrival sites of the jump. It generalizes misanthropes processes, hence in particular zero range and target processes. After the construction of MMP, our main focus is on its invariant measures. We obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of translation-invariant and invariant product probability measures. In the particula…
Let $α\in(0,2)$ and $d\in{\mathbb N}$. Consider the following SDE in ${\mathbb R}^d$:$${\rm d}X_t=b(t,X_t){\rm d} t+a(t,X_{t-}){\rm d} L^{(α)}_t,\ \ X_0=x,$$where $L^{(α)}$ is a $d$-dimensional rotationally invariant $α$-stable process, $b:{\mathbb R}_+\times{\mathbb R}^d\to{\mathbb R}^d$ and $a:{\mathbb R}_+\times{\mathbb R}^d\to{\mathbb R}^d\otimes{\mathbb R}^d$ are H{ö}lder continuous functions in space, with respective order $β,γ\in (0,1)$ such that $(β\wedge γ)+α>1$, uniformly in $t$. Here $b$ may be unbounded.When $a$ is bounded and uniformly elliptic, we show that the unique solution $X…
In this article, we perform quantitative analyses of metastable behavior of an interacting particle system known as the inclusion process. For inclusion processes, it is widely believed that the system nucleates the condensation of particles because of the attractive nature of the interaction mechanism. The metastable behavior of the inclusion processes corresponds to the movement of the condensate on a suitable time scale, and the computation of the corresponding time scale and the characterization of the scaling limit of the condensate motion are the main problems in the study of metastabili…
We study the position distribution $P(\vec{R},N)$ of a run-and-tumble particle (RTP) in arbitrary dimension $d$, after $N$ runs. We assume that the constant speed $v>0$ of the particle during each running phase is independently drawn from a probability distribution $W(v)$ and that the direction of the particle is chosen isotropically after each tumbling. The position distribution is clearly isotropic, $P(\vec{R},N)\to P(R,N)$ where $R=|\vec{R}|$. We show that, under certain conditions on $d$ and $W(v)$ and for large $N$, a condensation transition occurs at some critical value of $R=R_c\sim O(N…
This paper considers the decay in particle intensities for a translation invariant two species system of diffusing and reacting particles on $\mathbb{Z}^d$ for $d \geq 3$. The intensities are shown to approximately solve modified rate equations, from which their polynomial decay can be deduced. The system illustrates that the underlying diffusion and reaction rates can influence the exact polynomial decay rates, despite the system evolving in a supercritical dimension.
