We prove locality of superconformal algebras: every pluperfect superconformal algebra is spanned by coefficients of a finite family of mutually local distributions. We also introduce quasi-Poisson algebras and show that they can be used to construct all known simple superconformal algebras.

Ramond sector of superconformal algebras via quantum reduction

Quantum hamiltonian reduction of affine superalgebras is studied in the twisted case. The Ramond sector of "minimal" superconformal W-algebras is described in detail, the determinant formula is obtained. Extensive list of examples includes all the simple Lie superalgebras of rank up to 2. The paper generalizes the results of Kac and Wakimoto (math-ph/0304011) to the twisted case.

Determinant Formula for the Topological N=2 Superconformal Algebra

The Kac determinant for the Topological N=2 superconformal algebra is presented as well as a detailed analysis of the singular vectors detected by the roots of the determinants. In addition we identify the standard Verma modules containing `no-label' singular vectors (which are not detected directly by the roots of the determinants). Kac-Moody and Virasoro algebras

These are the notes for a Part III course given in the University of Cambridge in autumn 1998. They contain an exposition of the representation theory of the Lie algebras of compact matrix groups, affine Kac-Moody algebras and the Virasoro algebra from a unitary point of view.
