The standing wave model describes the well-known phenomenon of superconductivity in a new way [1]. Starting from a new definition of superconductivity, a microscopic London relation is derived from first principles. The relation between the macroscopic electric current and the field is derived from this microscopic relation. The coherence length as function of the superfluid density is derived from the microscopic theory. The critical temperature as function of the superfluid density is thus obtained. These results are compared to the experimental work of Bozovic et. al. [2].
Broadband microwave spectroscopy can probe material properties in wide spectral and temperature ranges, including superconductors at cryogenic temperatures. The quality of such measurements crucially depends on the calibration, which also removes from the obtained spectra signatures of standing waves. Here we consider low-temperature reflection measurements in Corbino geometry, and we show that the non-linear response of superconducting samples close to the critical temperature can lead to strong signatures of standing waves even in a well-calibrated Corbino spectrometer. We demonstrate our fi…
Optimization of parameters of nanostructure for study inverse proximity effects on "superconductor-ferromagnetic" interface using Polarized Neutron Reflectometry in enhanced standing wave regime
We demonstrate that combining standing-wave (SW) excitation with resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (RIXS) can lead to depth resolution and interface sensitivity for studying orbital and magnetic excitations in correlated oxide heterostructures. SW-RIXS has been applied to multilayer heterostructures consisting of a superconductor La$_{1.85}$Sr$_{0.15}$CuO$_{4}$(LSCO) and a half-metallic ferromagnet La$_{0.67}$Sr$_{0.33}$MnO$_{3}$ (LSMO). Easily observable SW effects on the RIXS excitations were found in these LSCO/LSMO multilayers. In addition, we observe different depth distribution of the …

A long-standing problem of observing Room Temperature Superconductivity is finally solved by a novel approach. Instead of increasing the critical temperature Tc of a superconductor, the temperature of the room was decreased to an appropriate Tc value. We consider this approach more promising for obtaining a large number of materials possessing Room Temperature Superconductivity in the near future.
The chiral p-wave superconducting state is comprised of spin triplet Cooper pairs carrying a finite orbital angular momentum. For the case of a periodic lattice, calculating the net magnetisation arising from this orbital component presents a challenge as the circulation operator $\hat{\bf{r}} \times \hat{\bf{p}}$ is not well defined in the Bloch representation. This difficulty has been overcome in the normal state, for which a modern theory is firmly established. Here, we derive the extension of this normal state approach, generating a theory which is valid for a general superconducting state…
Increase of superconducting order parameter in the magnetic superconductor Dy0.6Y0.4Rh3.85Ru0.15B4 in a wide magnetic field range. Is it a further candidate in p-wave superconductors?
首次研究了磁性超导体Dy_(0.6)Y_(0.4)Rh_(3.85)Ru_(0.15)B_4的Andreev反射谱。 在Dy_(0.6)Y_(0.4)Rh_(3.85)Ru_(0.15)B_4中,实现了三重态的超导配对机制。
Recent advances in the development of Josephson scanning tunneling spectroscopy (JSTS) have opened a new path for the exploration of unconventional superconductors. We demonstrate that the critical current, $I_c$, measured via JSTS, images the spatial form of the superconducting order parameter in $d_{x^2-y^2}$-wave superconductors around defects and in the Fulde-Ferrell-Larkin-Ovchinnikov state. Moreover, we show that $I_c$ probes the existence of phase-incoherent superconducting correlations in the pseudo-gap region of the cuprate superconductors, thus providing unprecedented insight into it…
Emergent loop-nodal s$_\pm$-wave superconductivity in CeCu$_2$Si$_2$: similarities to the iron-based superconductors
Strongly disordered superconductors in a magnetic field display many characteristic properties of type-II superconductivity--- except at low temperatures where an anomalous linear $T$-dependence of the resistive critical field $B_{c2}$ is routinely observed. This behavior violates the conventional theory of superconductivity, and its origin remains a long-standing puzzle. Here we report on systematic measurements of the critical magnetic field and current on amorphous indium oxide films of various levels of disorder. Surprisingly, our measurements show that the $B_{c2}$ anomaly near zero-tempe…
We study composite D-wave superconductors consisting of randomly oriented and randomly distributed superconducting droplets embedded into a matrix. In a certain range of parameters the application of a small magnetic field enhances the superconductivity in these materials while larger fields suppress superconductivity as usual in conventional superconductors. We investigate the magnetic field dependence of the superfluid density and the critical temperature of such superconductors.
We investigate the superheating fields $H_{sh}$ of semi-infinite superconductors and layered superconductors in the diffusive limit by using the well-established quasiclassical Green's function formalism of the BCS theory. The coupled Maxwell-Usadel equations are self-consistently solved to obtain the spatial distributions of the magnetic field, screening current density, penetration depth, and pair potential. We find the superheating field of a semi-infinite superconductor in the diffusive limit is given by $H_{sh} = 0.795 H_{c0}$ at the temperature $T \to 0$. Here $H_{c0}$ is the thermodynam…
We study topological phase transitions in three-dimensional odd-parity or noncentrosymmetric superconductors with mirror symmetry when time-reversal symmetry is broken. We construct a generic phase diagram for Weyl superconductivity in the mirror-symmetric superconductors. It is shown that Weyl superconductivity generally emerges between the trivial and the topological crystalline superconductor phases. We demonstrate how a trajectory of the Weyl nodes determines the change in mirror Chern numbers in the topological phase transition. We also discuss a relationship between particle-hole symmetr…
We theoretically investigate the phase transition from a non-trivial topological $p$-wave superconductor to a trivial $s$-wave like superconducting phase through a gapless phase, driven by different magnetic textures as an one-dimensional spin-chain impurity, e.g. Bloch-type, in-plane and out-of-plane Néel-type spin-chains etc. In our proposal, the chain of magnetic impurities is placed on a spin-triplet $p$-wave superconductor where we obtain numerically as well as analytically an effective $s$-wave like pairing due to spin rotation, resulting in gradual destruction of the Majorana zero modes…
