Let $U_q'(\mathfrak{g})$ be a quantum affine algebra of untwisted affine ADE type and let $\mathcal{C}^0_{\mathfrak{g}}$ be Hernandez-Leclerc's category. For a duality datum $\mathcal{D}$ in $\mathcal{C}^0_{\mathfrak{g}}$, we denote by $\mathcal{F}_{\mathcal{D}}$ the quantum affine Weyl-Schur duality functor. We give sufficient conditions for a duality datum $\mathcal{D}$ to provide the functor $\mathcal{F}_{\mathcal{D}}$ sending simple modules to simple modules. Then we introduce the notion of cuspidal modules in $\mathcal{C}^0_{\mathfrak{g}}$, and show that all simple modules in $\mathcal{C}^0_{\mathfrak{g}}$ can be constructed as the heads of ordered tensor products of cuspidal modules.
We prove that the Yangian associated to an untwisted symmetric affine Kac-Moody Lie algebra is isomorphic to the Drinfeld double of a shuffle algebra. The latter is constructed by the authors in arXiv:1407.7994 as an algebraic formalism of the cohomological Hall algebras. As a consequence, we obtain the Poincare-Birkhoff-Witt (PBW) theorem for this class of affine Yangians. Another independent proof of the PBW theorem is given recently by Guay-Regelskis-Wendlandt.
Mirkovic-Vilonen (MV) polytopes have proven to be a useful tool in understanding and unifying many constructions of crystals for finite-type Kac-Moody algebras. These polytopes arise naturally in many places, including the affine Grassmannian, pre-projective algebras, PBW bases, and KLR algebras. There has recently been progress in extending this theory to the affine Kac-Moody algebras. A definition of MV polytopes in symmetric affine cases has been proposed using pre-projective algebras. In the rank-2 affine cases, a combinatorial definition has also been proposed. Additionally, the theory of…
We show how affine PBW bases can be used to construct affine MV polytopes, and that the resulting objects agree with the affine MV polytopes recently constructed using either preprojective algebras or KLR algebras. To do this we first generalize work of Beck-Chari-Pressley and Beck-Nakajima to define affine PBW bases for arbitrary convex orders on positive roots. Our results describe how affine PBW bases for different convex orders are related, answering a question posed by Beck and Nakajima.
We develop the homological theory of KLR algebras of symmetric affine type. For each PBW basis, a family of standard modules is constructed which categorifies the PBW basis.
Let $\hat{\mathfrak g}$ be an affine Lie algebra of type 1. We give a PBW basis for the quantum affine algebra $U_q(\hat{\mathfrak g})$ with respect to the triangular decomposition of $\hat{\mathfrak g}$ associated with the imaginary positive root system.
Let $U_q'(\mathfrak{g})$ be a quantum affine algebra of arbitrary type and let $\mathcal{C}_{\mathfrak{g}}$ be Hernandez-Leclerc's category. We can associate the quantum affine Schur-Weyl duality functor $F_D$ to a duality datum $D$ in $\mathcal{C}_{\mathfrak{g}}$. We introduce the notion of a strong (complete) duality datum $D$ and prove that, when $D$ is strong, the induced duality functor $F_D$ sends simple modules to simple modules and preserves the invariants $Λ$ and $Λ^\infty$ introduced by the authors. We next define the reflections $\mathcal{S}_k$ and $\mathcal{S}^{-1}_k$ acting on str…
The Cherednik-Orr conjecture expresses the $t\to\infty$ limit of the nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials in terms of the PBW twisted characters of the affine level one Demazure modules. We prove this conjecture in several special cases.
In this paper, we give a recursive formula for the interesting PBW basis $E_{A}$ of composition subalgebras of Ringel-Hall algebras $\fkH_\vartri(n)$ of cyclic quivers after \cite{DengDuXiao2007generic}, and another construction of canonical bases of $\U_v^+(\wih{\fks\fkl}_n)$ from the monomial bases $m^{(A)}$ follow \cite{DuZhaomultiplication}. As an application, we will determined all the canonical basis of $\U_v^+(\wih{\fks\fkl}_2)$ associated with modules of Lowery length $\leqs3$. Finally, we will discuss the relation of canonical bases of Ringel-Hall algebras and those of affine quantum …
The notion of trigonometric spin double affine Hecke algebras (tsDaHa) and trigonometric double affine Hecke-Clifford algebras (tDaHCa) associated to classical Weyl groups are introduced. The PBW basis property is established. An algebra isomorphism relating tDaHCa to tsDaHa is obtained.
Associated to the classical Weyl groups, we introduce the notion of degenerate spin affine Hecke algebras and affine Hecke-Clifford algebras. For these algebras, we establish the PBW properties, formulate the intertwiners, and describe the centers. We further develop connections of these algebras with the usual degenerate (i.e. graded) affine Hecke algebras of Lusztig by introducing a notion of degenerate covering affine Hecke algebras.
We introduce a new class (in two versions) of rational double affine Hecke algebras (DaHa) associated to the spin symmetric group. We establish the basic properties of the algebras, such as PBW and Dunkl representation, and connections to Nazarov's degenerate affine Hecke-Clifford algebra and to a new degenerate affine Hecke algebra introduced here. We formulate a Morita equivalence between the two versions of rational DaHa's. The trigonometric generalization of the above constructions is also formulated and its relation to the rational counterpart is established.
Let $L$ be the basic (level one vacuum) representation of the affine Kac-Moody Lie algebra $\hat{\mathfrak g}$. The $m$-th space $F_m$ of the PBW filtration on $L$ is a linear span of vectors of the form $x_1... x_lv_0$, where $l\le m$, $x_i\in \hat{\mathfrak g}$ and $v_0$ is a highest weight vector of $L$. In this paper we give two descriptions of the associated graded space $L^{\rm gr}$ with respect to the PBW filtration. The "top-down" description deals with a structure of $L^{\rm gr}$ as a representation of the abelianized algebra of generating operators. We prove that the ideal of relatio…
We introduce an odd double affine Hecke algebra (DaHa) generated by a classical Weyl group W and two skew-polynomial subalgebras of anticommuting generators. This algebra is shown to be Morita equivalent to another new DaHa which are generated by W and two polynomial-Clifford subalgebras. There is yet a third algebra containing a spin Weyl group algebra which is Morita (super)equivalent to the above two algebras. We establish the PBW properties and construct Verma-type representations via Dunkl operators for these algebras.
The notion of rational spin double affine Hecke algebras (sDaHa) and rational double affine Hecke-Clifford algebras (DaHCa) associated to classical Weyl groups are introduced. The basic properties of these algebras such as the PBW basis and Dunkl operator representations are established. An algebra isomorphism relating the rational DaHCa to the rational sDaHa is obtained. We further develop a link between the usual rational Cherednik algebra and the rational sDaHa by introducing a notion of rational covering double affine Hecke algebras.
In this paper, the rational Ringel-Hall algebras for tame quivers are introduced and are identified with the positive part of the quantum extended Kac-Moody algebras. By using the rational Ringel-Hall algebras, we show that the existence of Hall polynomials for tame quiver algebras. The PBW bases are constructed and new classes of perverse sheaves are shown to have strong purity property. These allows us to construct the canonical bases of the positive part of the quantum extended Kac-Moody algebras.
We determine the PBW deformations of the wreath product of a symmetric group with a deformed preprojective algebra of an affine Dynkin quiver. In particular, we show that there is precisely one parameter which does not come from deformation of the preprojective algebra. We prove that the PBW deformation is Morita equivalent to a corresponding symplectic reflection algebra for wreath product.
For symmetrizable Kac-Moody Lie algebra $\textbf{g}$, Lusztig introduced the modified quantized enveloping algebra $\dot{\textbf{U}}(\textbf{g})$ and its canonical basis in [12]. In this paper, for finite and affine type symmetric Lie algebra $\textbf{g}$ we define a set which depend only on the root category and prove that there is a bijection between the set and the canonical basis of $\dot{\textbf{U}}(\textbf{g})$, where the root category is the $T^2$-orbit category of the derived category of Dynkin or tame quiver. Our method bases on one theorem of Lin, Xiao and Zhang in [9], which gave th…
We investigate deformations of a skew group algebra that arise from a finite group acting on a polynomial ring. When the characteristic of the underlying field divides the order of the group, a new type of deformation emerges that does not occur in characteristic zero. This analogue of Lusztig's graded affine Hecke algebra for positive characteristic can not be forged from the template of symplectic reflection and related algebras as originally crafted by Drinfeld. By contrast, we show that in characteristic zero, for arbitrary finite groups, a Lusztig-type deformation is always isomorphic to …
Let G be a semisimple algebraic group over an algebraically closed field of positive characteristic p. Generalizing the construction of the PBW filtration on Weyl modules for G we construct a G-stable filtration on tensor products of Weyl modules which we call the induced PBW filtration. We use this filtration to give some purely representation-theoretic conditions which are equivalent to the existence of a Frobenius splitting of the double flag variety $G/B \times G/B$ that maximally compatibly splits the diagonal. In particular, this gives a sufficient condition for Wahl's conjecture to hold…
We give an algebraic construction of standard modules (infinite dimensional modules categorifying the PBW basis of the underlying quantized enveloping algebra) for Khovanov-Lauda-Rouquier algebras in all finite types. This allows us to prove in an elementary way that these algebras satisfy the homological properties of an `affine quasi-hereditary algebra.' In simply-laced types these properties were established originally by Kato via a geometric approach. We also construct some Koszul-like projective resolutions of standard modules corresponding to multiplicity-free positive roots.
We study quadratic algebras over a field $\textbf{k}$. We show that an $n$-generated PBW algebra $A$ has finite global dimension and polynomial growth \emph{iff} its Hilbert series is $H_A(z)= 1 /(1-z)^n$. Surprising amount can be said when the algebra $A$ has \emph{quantum binomial relations}, that is the defining relations are nondegenerate square-free binomials $xy-c_{xy}zt$ with non-zero coefficients $c_{xy}\in \textbf{k}$. In this case various good algebraic and homological properties are closely related. The main result shows that for an $n$-generated quantum binomial algebra $A$ the fol…
We study the Brylinski filtration induced by a principal Heisenberg subalgebra of an affine Kac-Moody algebra $\mathfrak{g}$, a notion first introduced by Slofstra. The associated graded space of this filtration on dominant weight spaces of integrable highest weight modules of $\mathfrak{g}$ has Hilbert series coinciding with Lusztig's $t$-analogue of weight multiplicities. For the level 1 vacuum module $L(Λ_0)$ of affine Kac-Moody algebras of type $A$, we show that the Brylinski filtration may be most naturally understood in terms of (vertex algebra) representations of the corresponding $\mat…
As a generalisation of Graham and Lehrer's cellular algebras, affine cellular algebras have been introduced in [12] in order to treat affine versions of diagram algebras like affine Hecke algebras of type A and affine Temperley-Lieb algebras in a unifying fashion. Affine cellular algebras include Kleshchev's graded quasihereditary algebras, KLR algebras and various other classes of algebras. In this paper we will study ring theoretical properties of affine cellular algebras. We show that any affine cellular algebra $A$ satisfies a polynomial identity. Furthermore, we show that $A$ can be embed…
We define a class of algebras which are distinguished by a PBW property and an orthogonality condition, and which we call Hopf-Hecke algebras, since they generalize the Drinfeld Hecke algebras defined by Drinfeld. In the course of studying the orthogonality condition and in analogy to the orthogonal group we show the existence of a pin cover for cocommutative Hopf algebras over $\mathbb{C}$ with an orthogonal module or, more generally, pointed cocommutative Hopf algebras over a field of characteristic $0$ with an orthogonal module. Following the suggestion of Dan Barbasch and Siddhartha Sahi, …
Let G=GL(N), K=GL(p)xGL(q), where p+q=N, and n be a positive integer. We construct a functor from the category of Harish-Chandra modules for the pair (G,K) to the category of representations of the degenerate affine Hecke algebra of type B_n, and a functor from the category of K-monodromic twisted D-modules on G/K to the category of representations of the degenerate double affine Hecke algebra of type BC_n; the second functor is an extension of the first one. These functors are generalizations of the type A functors from q-alg/9710037 and math/0702670, respectively.
We establish, for all simply laced types, a q,t-character formula, first conjectured by Nakajima. It relates, on one hand, the structure of the $\ell$-weight spaces of standard modules regarded as modules over the Heisenberg subalgebra of some quantum affine algebra and, on the other hand, the t-dependence of their q,t-characters, as originally defined in terms of the Poincaré polynomials of certain Lagrangian subvarieties in quiver varieties of the corresponding simply laced type. Our proof is essentially geometric and generalizes to arbitrary simply laced types earlier representation theoret…
We explain how quantum affine algebra actions can be used to systematically construct "exotic" t-structures. The main idea, roughly speaking, is to take advantage of the two different descriptions of quantum affine algebras, the Drinfeld--Jimbo and the Kac--Moody realizations. Our main application is to obtain exotic t-structures on certain convolution varieties defined using the Beilinson--Drinfeld and affine Grassmannians. These varieties play an important role in the geometric Langlands program, knot homology constructions, K-theoretic geometric Satake and the coherent Satake category. As a…
We give explicit formulae for certain elements occurring in the Bernstein presentation of an affine Hecke algebra, in terms of the usual Iwahori- Matsumoto generators. We utilize certain minimal expressions for said elements and we give a sheaf-theoretic interpretation for the existence of these minimal expressions.
Let $G:=\widehat{SL_2}$ denote the affine Kac-Moody group associated to $SL_2$ and $\bar{\mathcal{X}}$ the associated affine Grassmannian. We determine an inductive formula for the Schubert basis structure constants in the torus-equivariant Grothendieck group of $\bar{\mathcal{X}}$. In the case of ordinary (non-equivariant) $K$-theory we find an explicit closed form for the structure constants. We also determine an inductive formula for the structure constants in the torus-equivariant cohomology ring, and use this formula to find closed forms for some of the structure constants.
In this paper we express certain multiplicities in modular representation-theoretic categories of type A in terms of affine p-Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials. The representation-theoretic categories we deal with include the categories of rational representations of GL(n), representations of the quantum group for gl(n), and representations of (degenerate) cyclotomic Hecke and Schur algebras, where the base field is an algebraically closed field of arbitrary prime characteristic. In order to approach this problem we define Soergel-theoretic versions of parabolic categories O in characteristic p. We …
In this note we continue our investigations of the representation theoretic aspects of reflection positivity, also called Osterwalder--Schrader positivity. We explain how this concept relates to affine isometric actions on real Hilbert spaces and how this is connected with Gaussian processes with stationary increments.
The main purpose of this paper is to prove a group-theoretic generalization of a theorem of Katz on isocrystals. Along the way we reprove the group-theoretic generalization of Mazur's inequality for isocrystals due to Rapoport-Richartz, and generalize from split groups to unramified groups a result of Kottwitz-Rapoport which determines when an affine Deligne-Lusztig subset of the affine Grassmannian is non-empty.
We give a crystal-theoretic proof that nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials specialized to $t=0$ are affine Demazure characters. We explicitly construct an affine Demazure crystal on semistandard key tabloids such that removing the affine edges recovers the finite Demazure crystals constructed earlier by the authors. We also realize the filtration on highest weight modules by Demazure modules by defining explicit embedding operators which, at the level of characters, parallels the recursion operators of Knop and Sahi for specialized nonsymmetric Macdonald polynomials. Thus we prove combinatorial…
The Fomin-Zelevinsky Laurent phenomenon states that every cluster variable in a cluster algebra can be expressed as a Laurent polynomial in the variables lying in an arbitrary initial cluster. We give representation-theoretic formulas for the denominators of cluster variables in cluster algebras of affine type. The formulas are in terms of the dimensions of spaces of homomorphisms in the corresponding cluster category, and hold for any choice of initial cluster.
We introduce and begin to study Lie theoretical analogs of symplectic reflection algebras for a finite cyclic group, which we call "cyclic double affine Lie algebra". We focus on type A : in the finite (resp. affine, double affine) case, we prove that these structures are finite (resp. affine, toroidal) type Lie algebras, but the gradings differ. The case which is essentially new involves $\mathbb{C}[u,v]$. We describe its universal central extensions and start the study of its representation theory, in particular of its highest weight integrable modules and Weyl modules. We also consider the …
We suggest a (conjectural) construction of a basis in the plus part of the affine Lie algebra of type ADE indexed by irreducible components of certain quiver varieties. This construction is closely related to a string-theoretic construction of a Lie algebra of BPS states. We then study the new combinatorial questions about the (classical) root systems naturally arising from our constructions and Lusztig's semicanonical basis.
The characters of parafermionic conformal field theories are given by the string functions of affine algebras, which are either twisted or untwisted algebras. Expressions for these characters as generalized Rogers Ramanujan algebras have been established for the untwisted affine algebras. However, we study the identities for the string functions of twisted affine Lie algebras. Conjectures for the string functions was proposed by Hatayama et al., for the unit fields, which expresses the string functions as Rogers Ramanujan type sums. Here we propose to check the Hatayama et al. conjecture, usin…
