We introduce a theory of cyclic Kummer extensions of commutative rings for partial Galois extensions of finite groups, extending some of the well-known results of the theory of Kummer extensions of commutative rings developed by A. Z. Borevich. In particular, we provide necessary and sufficient conditions to determine when a partial $n$-kummerian extension is equivalent to either a radical or a $I$-radical extension, for some subgroup $I$ of the cyclic group $C_n$.

Kummer Spaces in Cyclic Algebras of Prime Degree

We classify the monomial Kummer subspaces of division cyclic algebras of prime degree $p$, showing that every such space is standard, and in particular the dimension is no greater than $p+1$. It follows that in a generic cyclic algebra, the dimension of any Kummer subspace is at most $p+1$.

Kummer Elements in Cyclic Algebras of Degree 5

We construct a graph of Kummer elements in a given cyclic algebra of prime degree and study its properties. In case of degree 5, we provide sufficient conditions for two elements to have a chain of Kummer elements connecting them, such that the multiplicative commutator of any two consecutive elements in the chain is a root of unity.

Kummer Subspaces of Tensor Products of Cyclic Algebras

We discuss the Kummer subspaces of tensor products of cyclic algebras, focusing mainly on the case of cyclic algebras of degree 3. We present a family of maximal spaces in the general case, classify all the monomial spaces in the case of tensor products of cyclic algebras of degree 3 using graph theory, and provide an upper bound for the dimension in the generic tensor product of cyclic algebras of degree 3.

Modules with Non-Cyclic Socle and the Extension Property

In 2009, J. Wood proved that Frobenius bimodules have the extension property for symmetrized weight compositions. More generally, it was later shown that having a cyclic socle is sufficient for satisfying the property, while the necessity remained an open question. In this thesis, a partial converse is proved. For a significant class of finite module alphabets, the cyclic socle condition is shown necessary for satisfying the extension property. The idea is to use a new weight function to return to the original case of Hamming weight.

Mv-algebras And Partially Cyclically Ordered Groups

We prove that there exists a functorial correspondence between MV-algebras and partially cyclically ordered groups which are wound round of lattice-ordered groups. It follows that some results about cyclically ordered groups can be stated in terms of MV-algebras. For example, the study of groups together with a cyclic order allows to get a first-order characterization of groups of unimodular complex numbers and of finite cyclic groups. Noncommutative cyclic isolated singularities

The question of whether a noncommutative graded quotient singularity $A^G$ is isolated depends on a subtle invariant of the $G$-action on $A$, called the pertinency. We prove a partial dichotomy theorem for isolatedness, which applies to a family of noncommutative quotient singularities arising from a graded cyclic action on the $(-1)$-skew polynomial ring. Our results generalize and extend some results of Bao, He and the third-named author and results of Gaddis, Kirkman, Moore and Won.

On tilting complexes over blocks covering cyclic blocks

Let $p$ be a prime number, $k$ an algebraically closed field of characteristic $p$, $\tilde{G}$ a finite group, and $G$ a normal subgroup of $\tilde{G}$ having a $p$-power index in $\tilde{G}$. Moreover let $B$ be a block of $kG$ with a cyclic defect group and $\tilde{B}$ be the unique block of $k\tilde{G}$ covering $B$. We study tilting complexes over the block $\tilde{B}$ and show that the block $\tilde{B}$ is a tilting-discrete algebra. Moreover we show that the set of all tilting complexes over $\tilde{B}$ is isomorphic to that over $B$ as partially ordered sets.
