Search for direct production of electroweakinos in final states with missing transverse momentum and a Higgs boson decaying into photons in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector
A search for a chargino$-$neutralino pair decaying via the 125 GeV Higgs boson into photons is presented. The study is based on the data collected between 2015 and 2018 with the ATLAS detector at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb$^{-1}$ of $pp$ collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. No significant excess over the expected background is observed. Upper limits at 95% confidence level for a massless $\tildeχ^{0}_{1}$ are set on several electroweakino production cross-sections and the visible cross-section for beyond the Standard Model processes. In the context of simplified supersymmetric models, 95% confidence-level limits of up to 310 GeV in $m(\tildeχ^{\pm}_{1}/\tildeχ^{0}_{2})$, where $m(\tildeχ^{0}_{1})=0.5$ GeV, are set. Limits at 95% confidence level are also set on the $\tildeχ^{\pm}_{1}\tildeχ^{0}_{2}$ cross-section in the mass plane of $m(\tildeχ^{\pm}_{1}/\tildeχ^{0}_{2})$ and $m(\tildeχ^{0}_{1})$, and on scenarios with gravitino as the lightest supersymmetric particle. Upper limits at the 95% confidence-level are set on the higgsino production cross-section. Higgsino masses below 380 GeV are excluded for the case of the higgsino fully decaying into a Higgs boson and a gravitino.
The results of a search for electroweakino pair production $pp \rightarrow \tildeχ^\pm_1 \tildeχ^0_2$ in which the chargino ($\tildeχ^\pm_1$) decays into a $W$ boson and the lightest neutralino ($\tildeχ^0_1$), while the heavier neutralino ($\tildeχ^0_2$) decays into the Standard Model 125 GeV Higgs boson and a second $\tildeχ^0_1$ are presented. The signal selection requires a pair of $b$-tagged jets consistent with those from a Higgs boson decay, and either an electron or a muon from the $W$ boson decay, together with missing transverse momentum from the corresponding neutrino and the stable…

EUROPEAN ORGANISATION FOR NUCLEAR RESEARCH (CERN)(欧洲核子研究中心(CERN))
Supersymmetry is one of the most popular extensions of the Standard Model of particle physics, as it offers solutions to several shortcomings of the Standard Model. Natural supersymmetric models favor masses for the new particles which are predicted by supersymmetry in the range of hundreds of GeV, well within the reach of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. If squarks and gluinos are much heavier, the production of charginos and neutralinos may be the dominant production mode for supersymmetric particles. These proceedings present results from new searches for the production of charginos and n…
Search for long-lived, massive particles in events with displaced vertices and multiple jets in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector
In this review, we consider a general theoretical framework for fermionic color-singlet states, including a singlet, a doublet and a triplet under the standard model SU(2)$_{\rm L}$ gauge symmetry, corresponding to the Bino, Higgsino and Wino in Supersymmetric theories, generically dubbed as "electroweakinos" for their mass eigenstates. Depending on the relations among their three mass parameters and the mixings after the electroweak symmetry breaking, this sector leads to rich phenomenology potentially accessible at the current and near-future experiments. We discuss the decay patterns of the…
A search for R-parity violating supersymmetry in final states characterised by high jet multiplicity, at least one isolated light lepton and either zero or at least three $b$-tagged jets is presented. The search uses 139 fb$^{-1}$ of $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV proton-proton collision data collected by the ATLAS experiment during Run 2 of the Large Hadron Collider. The results are interpreted in the context of R-parity-violating supersymmetry models that feature gluino production, top-squark production, or electroweakino production. The dominant sources of background are estimated using a data-driven …
Many models beyond the standard model predict the existence of vector-like quarks or other types of heavy resonances. Using proton-proton collision data at center-of-mass energies of 8 and 13 TeV, the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations have performed a multitude of searches for pair and singly produced vector-like quarks decaying to W, Z, or Higgs bosons. Heavy gauge and (pseudo)scalar resonances decaying to top quarks have been searched for as well. No evidence for any of these hypothetical particles has been found yet, and stringent exclusion limits are derived on their masses, cross sections and …
Highlights of the search for SUSY at ATLAS are presented emphasising on the variety of searches that were performed in the LHC Run I in p-p collisions at a centre of mass of 7 TeV and 8TeV. Searches for squars, gluinos, third generation squarks and electroweakinos in R-parity conserving scenarios and an example of searches in R-parity violating scenarios are highlighted.
Searches for high-mass resonances decaying to pairs of standard model bosons using ATLAS and CMS detectors are presented. The searches use 15 - 36 $\textrm{fb}^{-1}$ of proton-proton collision data collected at the centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV at the LHC. Many different final states have been considered and the results are interpreted in a range of theories beyond the standard model of particle physics, most common being heavy vector triplet and warped extra dimensions.
Summary of first ATLAS results is given for the Standard Model Higgs boson in the mass range 110 < mH < 130 GeV, when produced in association with a W/Z boson and decaying to a pair of b-quarks. No evidence for the Higgs boson production is observed in a dataset of proton-proton collisions at a center of mass energy of 7 TeV and corresponding to 1.04 fb-1 of integrated luminosity, recorded by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC in 2011. Upper limits on Higgs boson production cross sections for the channels considered are presented.

The search for the Standard Model Higgs boson in the four lepton (electron and muon) final state with the ATLAS detector at the LHC is presented. The presence of tau leptons in the final state is an important signature in many Higgs boson and SUSY searches. With the ATLAS detector, hadronically decaying tau leptons can be reconstructed in a wide range of transverse energies. The reconstruction algorithm for hadronically decaying tau leptons is explained and the performance of tau lepton identification is shown. Particularly important is the discrimination of hadronically decaying tau leptons against overwhelming backgrounds from QCD jets.

No significant excess over the Standard Model expectation was found so lower exclusion limits at 95% confidence level were set on the vector-like quark masses at 1030 (1210) GeV for singlet (doublet) $T$ and 1010 (1140) GeV for singlet (doublet) $B$.
After many years of searches, the Higgs boson was observed by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations in July 2012. Since then, its properties have been measured using primarily the bosonic decay channels: $H \to γγ$, $H \to Z Z$, $H \to W^+ W^-$. In order to probe the predictions of the Standard Model and the nature of the Higgs boson, it is also fundamental to measure its couplings to fermions and, in particular, to quarks. In this paper we present the ATLAS results in the search for the Higgs boson decaying to b-quark pairs using two different production channels: associated production with a vect…
Hadronically decaying tau leptons are of prime importance in numerous physics analyses in ATLAS. The spectrum of the possible applications of hadronically decaying tau leptons reaches from Standard Model measurements, including Higgs searches, to searches for physics beyond the Standard Model. The basic principles behind the sophisticated tau reconstruction and identification techniques, which are specifically designed to identify hadronically decaying taus and reject various background processes, are delineated here along with current data-driven estimates of their respective performance.
