Surface Drinfeld Torsors I : Higher Genus Associators

We develop a higher genus version of Drinfeld associators by means of operad theory. We start by introducing a framed version of rational associators and Grothendieck-Teichmüller groups and show that their definition is independent of the framing data. Next, we define a framed version of the universal KZ connection and we use it to show that over the complex numbers, the rational framed Drinfeld torsor is not empty. Next, we concentrate on the higher genus version of this story. We define an operad module of framed parenthesized higher genus braidings in prounipotent groupoids and we define its chord diagram counterpart. We then use these operadic modules to operadicly define higher genus associators and Grothendieck-Teichmüller groups, which again do not depend on the framing data. Finally, we compare our results in the genus $1$ case with those appearing in the litterature.

P. Etingof's conjecture about Drinfeld associators

The Drinfeld associator of gl(1|1)

We determine explicitly a rational even Drinfeld associator Q in a completion of the universal enveloping algebra of the Lie superalgebra gl(1|1)^3. More generally, we define a new algebra of trivalent diagrams that has a unique even horizontal group-like Drinfeld associator P. The associator P is mapped to Q by a weight system. Compressed Drinfeld associators

Drinfeld associator is a key tool in computing the Kontsevich integral of knots. A Drinfeld associator is a series in two non-commuting variables, satisfying highly complicated algebraic equations - hexagon and pentagon. On rational Drinfeld associators

We prove an estimate on denominators of rational Drinfeld associators. To obtain this result, we prove the corresponding estimate for the p-adic associators stable under the action of suitable elements of Gal(\bar{Q}/Q). As an application, we settle in the positive Duflo's question on the Kashiwara--Vergne factorizations of the Jacobson element J_p(x,y)=(x+y)^p-x^p-y^p in the free Lie algebra over a field of characteristic p. Another application is a new estimate on denominators of the Kontsevich knot invariant.

Drinfeld associators, braid groups and explicit solutions of the Kashiwara-Vergne equations

On the irrationality of certain coefficients of the Alekseev-Torossian associator

We give explicit formulas for the first few coefficients of the Alekseev-Torossian associator and a second Drinfeld associator. This is done by analyzing the free and transitive action of the Grothendieck-Teichmüller group and its Lie algebra $\mathfrak{grt}_1$ on the set of Drinfeld associators. As a result we obtain that, up to a conjecture on multiple zeta values, both associators are not rational.

The Kashiwara-Vergne conjecture and Drinfeld's associators

The Kashiwara-Vergne (KV) conjecture is a property of the Campbell-Hausdorff series put forward in 1978. It has been settled in the positive by E. Meinrenken and the first author in 2006. The universal Vassiliev-Kontsevich invariant for framed oriented links

We give a generalization of the Reshetikhin-Turaev functor for tangles to get a combinatorial formula for the universal Vassiliev-Kontsevich invariant of framed oriented links which is coincident with the Kontsevich integral. The universal Vassiliev-Kontsevich invariant is constructed using the Drinfeld associator. We prove the uniqueness of the Drinfeld associator. As a corollary one gets the rationality of the Kontsevich integral. Many properties of the universal Vassiliev-Kontsevich invariant are established. Connections to quantum group invariants and to multiple zeta values are discussed.

We construct a genus one analogue of the theory of associators and the Grothendieck-Teichmueller group. The analogue of the Galois action on the profinite braid groups is an action of the arithmetic fundamental group of a moduli space of elliptic curves on the profinite braid groups in genus one. Moduli of framed formal curves

We introduce framed formal curves, which are formal algebraic curves with boundary components parametrized by the punctured formal disk. We study the moduli space of nodal framed formal curves, which we endow with a logarithmic structure. We show that this moduli space is a smooth formal logarithmic stack.
