In this paper we introduce two new systems of equations in Kähler geometry: The coupled p equation and the generalized coupled cscK equation. We motivate the equations from the moment map pictures, prove the uniqueness of solutions and find out the obstructions to the solutions for the second equation. We also point out the connections between the coupled cscK equation, the coupled Kähler Yang-Mills equations and the deformed Hermitian Yang-Mills equation.
Moreover, using this moment map, we can show the Mabuchi functional for the generalized coupled cscK equation, and a special case of the coupled Kähler Yang-Mills equations and the deformed Hermitian Yang-Mills equation are convex along the smooth geodesic, which is different from the one using the moment map picture from the gauge group. In our case, the geodesic is given by the natural metric on the product of smooth Kähler potential $\mathcal{K}(X,ω_0)\times \cdots \times \mathcal{K}(X,ω_k)$.
Let $M^n$ be a compact K$\ddot{a}$hler manifold with almost nonnegative Ricci curvature and nonzero first Betti number. We show that the holomorphic Euler number of $M^n$ vanishes, which gives a new obstruction for compact complex manifolds admitting K$\ddot{a}$hler metrics with almost nonnegative Ricci curvature. A crucial step in the proof is to show a vanishing theorem of Dolbeault-Morse-Novikov cohomology.
On any compact Riemann surface there always exists a singular non-CSC (constant scalar curvature) extremal K$\ddot{a}$hler metric which is called a non-CSC HCMU (the Hessian of the Curvature of the Metric is Umbilical) metric. In this paper, by moving frames, we show that any non-CSC HCMU metric can not be isometrically minimal immersed into 3-dimensional real space forms even locally. In general, any non-CSC HCMU metric can not be isometrically immersed into 3-dimensional real space forms with constant mean curvature (CMC).
We introduce a class of almost homogeneous varieties contained in the class of spherical varieties and containing horospherical varieties as well as complete symmetric varieties. We develop K{ä}hler geometry on these varieties, with applications to canonical metrics in mind, as a generalization of the Guillemin-Abreu-Donaldson geometry of toric varieties. Namely we associate convex functions with hermitian metrics on line bundles, and express the curvature form in terms of this function, as well as the corresponding Monge-Amp{è}re volume form and scalar curvature. We then provide an expression…
Let Z be the real part of a K{ä}hler Hamiltonian manifold M. The O'Shea-Sjamaar's Theorem tells us that the moment polytope Delta(Z) corresponds to the anti-invariant part of the Kirwan polytope Delta(M). The purpose of the present paper is to explain how to parameterize the equations of the facets of Delta(Z) in terms of real Ressayre's pairs of Z.

In this paper, we construct various examples of Lagrangian mean curvature flows in Calabi-Yau manifolds, using moment maps for actions of abelian Lie groups on them. The examples include Lagrangian self-shrinkers and translating solitons in the Euclidean spaces. Moreover, our method can be applied to construct examples of Lagrangian mean curvature flows in non-flat Calabi-Yau manifolds. In particular, we describe Lagrangian mean curvature flows in 4-dimensional Ricci-flat ALE spaces in detail and investigate their singularities.
In the framework of formal deformation quantization, we apply our formal moment map construction on the space of almost complex structures to recover the Donaldson-Fujiki moment map picture of the Hermitian scalar curvature. In the integrable case, it yields a formal moment map deforming the scalar curvature moment map.
The sectional curvature of a compact Riemannian manifold M can be seen as a random variable on the Grassmann bundle of 2-planes in TM endowed with the Fubini-Study volume density. In this article we calculate the moments of this random variable by integrating suitable local Riemannian invariants and discuss the distribution of the sectional curvature of Riemannian products. Moreover we calculate the moments and the distribution of the sectional curvature for all compact symmetric spaces of rank 1 explicitly and derive a formula for the moments of general symmetric spaces. Interpolating the exp…
It is known that the scalar curvature arises as the moment map in Kahler geometry. In pursuit of this analogy, we introduce the notion of a moment map in generalized Kahler geometry which gives the definition of a generalized scalar curvature on a generalized Kahler manifold. From the viewpoint of the moment map, we obtain the generalized Ricci form which is a representative of the first Chern class of the anticanonical line bundle. It turns out that infinitesimal deformations of generalized Kahler structures with constant generalized scalar curvature are finite dimensional on a compact manifo…
We deform the moment map picture on the space of symplectic connections on a symplectic manifold. To do that, we study a vector bundle of Fedosov star product algebras on the space of symplectic connections. We describe a natural formal connection on this bundle adapted to the star product algebras on the fibers. We study its curvature and show the star product trace of the curvature is a formal symplectic form on the space of symplectic connections. The action of Hamiltonian diffeomorphisms on symplectic connections preserves the formal symplectic structure and we show the star product trace …
We discuss a natural extension of the Kähler reduction of Fujiki and Donaldson, which realises the scalar curvature of Kähler metrics as a moment map, to a hyperkähler reduction. Our approach is based on an explicit construction of hyperkähler metrics due to Biquard and Gauduchon. This extension is reminiscent of how one derives Hitchin's equations for harmonic bundles, and yields real and complex moment map equations which deform the constant scalar curvature Kähler (cscK) condition. In the special case of complex curves we recover previous results of Donaldson. We focus on the case of comple…
In this article, we prove Talenti's comparison theorem for Poisson equation on complete noncompact Riemannian manifold with nonnegative Ricci curvature. Furthermore, we obtain the Faber-Krahn inequality for the first eigenvalue of Dirichlet Laplacian, $L^1$- and $L^\infty$-moment spectrum, especially Saint-Venant theorem for torsional rigidity and a reverse Hölder inequality for eigenfunctions of Dirichlet Laplacian.
Let $X$ be a compact Kähler manifold and $S$ a subvariety of $X$ with higher co-dimension. The aim is to study complete constant scalar curvature Kähler metrics on non-compact Kähler manifold $X-S$ with Poincaré--Mok--Yau asymptotic property (see Definition \ref{def}). In this paper, the methods of Calabi's ansatz and the moment construction are used to provide some special examples of such metrics.
We show that if a compact Kaehler manifold $M$ of non-negative Ricci curvature admits closed Fedosov star product then the reduced Lie algebra of holomorphic vector fields on $M$ is reductive. This comes in pair with the obstruction previously found by La Fuente-Gravy. More generally we consider the squared norm of Cahen-Gutt moment map as in the same spirit of Calabi functional for the scalar curvature in cscK problem, and prove a Cahen-Gutt version of Calabi's theorem on the structure of the Lie algebra of holomorphic vector fields for extremal Kaehler manifolds. The proof uses a Hessian for…
The prescribed Ricci curvature problem in the context of G-invariant metrics on a homogeneous space M=G/K is studied. We focus on the metrics at which the Ricci curvature map is, locally, as injective and surjective as it can be. Our main result is that such property is generic in the compact case. Our main tool is a formula for the Lichnerowicz Laplacian we prove in terms of the moment map for the variety of algebras.
The deformed Hermitian Yang-Mills (dHYM) equation is a special Lagrangian type condition in complex geometry. It requires the complex analogue of the Lagrangian phase, defined for Chern connections on holomorphic line bundles using a background Kähler metric, to be constant. In this paper we introduce and study dHYM equations with variable Kähler metric. These are coupled equations involving both the Lagrangian phase and the radius function, at the same time. They are obtained by using the extended gauge group to couple the moment map interpretation of dHYM connections, due to Collins-Yau and …
In Kähler geometry, Fujiki--Donaldson show that the scalar curvature arises as the moment map for Hamiltonian diffeomorphisms. In generalized Kähler geometry, one does not have suitable notions of Levi-Civita connection and curvature, however there still exists a precise framework for a moment map and the scalar curvature is defined as the moment map. Then a fundamental question is to understand the existence or non-existence of generalized Kähler structures with constant scalar curvature. In the paper, we study the Lie algebra of automorphisms of a generalized complex manifold. We assume that…
