We study the amplitude of the Higgs boson production in gluon fusion mediated by a light quark loop and evaluate the logarithmically enhanced radiative corrections to the next-to-leading logarithmic approximation which sums up the terms of the form $α_s^n\ln^{2n-1}(m_H/m_q)$ to all orders in the strong coupling constant. This result is used for the calculation of the process cross section near the production threshold and gives a quantitative estimate of the three and four-loop bottom quark contribution to the Higgs boson production at the Large Hadron Collider.
We study the phenomenology of the e-mu lepton flavour violation (LFV) in a general two Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) including the supersymmetric case. We compute the decay rate expressions of mu -> e gamma, mu -> eee, and mu -> e conversion in nuclei at two loop level. In particular, it is shown that mu -> e gamma is generally the most sensitive channel to probe Higgs-mediated LFV. The correlations among the decay rates of the above processes are also discussed.

We study the impact of the inverse seesaw mechanism on several low-energy flavour violating observables such as tau decaying to three muons in the context of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. As a consequence of the inverse seesaw, the contributions of the right-handed sneutrinos significantly enhance the Higgs-mediated penguin diagrams. We find that different flavour violating branching ratios can be enhanced by as much as two orders of magnitude. We also comment on the impact of the Higgs-mediated processes on the leptonic B-meson decays and on the Higgs flavour violating decays.
In the supersymmetric models with nontrivial flavour structure in the soft-breaking sector the exchange of neutral Higgses mediates $ΔF=2$ transitions. This mechanism is studied for $ΔS, ΔB=2$ processes and for a generic form of the soft-breaking terms. We find that Higgs-mediated FCNC amplitudes increase very rapidly with $\tanβ$ and can exceed $SUSY$ box contribution by up to two orders of magnitude when $\tanβ\sim m_t/m_b$.
The charged-Higgs-mediated contribution to the Wilson coefficient of the $b\to sγ$ magnetic penguin is expected to be one of the more promising candidates for a supersymmetric effect in B physics, probably the only one in gauge-mediated models. We compute the two-loop QCD correction to it. With naive dimensional regularization and MSbar subtraction, for reasonable values of the charged Higgs mass and for mu-bar = m_top, we find a (10--20)% reduction of the corresponding one-loop effect.
We discuss SUSY models in which renormalizable lepton number violating couplings hide the decay of the Higgs through h -> χ_1^0 + χ_1^0 followed by χ_1^0 -> τ+ 2 jets or χ_1^0 -> ν_τ+ 2 jets and also explain neutrino masses. This mechanism can be made compatible with gauge mediated SUSY breaking.
We study the phenomenology of the mu-tau and e-tau lepton flavour violation (LFV) in a general two Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) including the supersymmetric case. We consider several LFV decay modes of the charged fermion tau, namely tau-> l_jgamma, tau->l_j l_k l_k and tau-> l_jeta. The predictions and the correlations among the rates of the above processes are computed. In particular, it is shown that tau->l_jgamma processes are the most sensitive channels to Higgs-mediated LFV specially if the splitting among the neutral Higgs bosons masses is not below the 10% level.
In this paper, we study non-decoupling $μ$ - $e$ transition effects by Higgs-mediated contribution in the MSSM, when some SUSY mass parameters are much greater than TeV. In order to treat CP-odd Higgs mass $m_{A^{0}}$ as a free parameter, we consider the non-universal Higgs mass model (NUHM), and assume the only left- or right-handed sleptons had flavor-mixing mass terms. If both Higgs-mediated and ordinary SUSY contribution are significant, the ratio of branching ratios $\BR(\meg) / \BR(\maleal)$ becomes sensitive to SUSY mass parameters. We investigated these mass-sensitive regions and the b…
We present the predictions for the mass $M_h$ of the lightest Higgs boson in models with gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking as a function of the SUSY-breaking scale. We include all radiative corrections up to two loops and point out that if the CDF e+ e- two-photon event is interpreted in terms of these models, then the lightest Higgs boson should be lighter than 110 GeV.
We calculate the $O(α_s)$ corrections to the charged Higgs mediated inclusive semi-tauonic $B$ decay. By working in the Landau gauge, we demonstrate how to obtain the charged Higgs contributions (both direct and interference terms) from the known QCD corrections to $t \to b H^+$. Combining our results with $O(1/m_b^2)$ corrections to the spectator model and comparing the theoretical prediction with the recent experimental measurements, we find a model-independent $2σ$ upper bound on the ratio of Higgs vacuum expectation values, $\tanβ<0.52(m_H/1 GeV)$.
The lighter neutral scalar Higgs mass is examined in gauge-mediated supersymmetry-breaking models in which the messenger sector responsible for SUSY breaking is allowed to involve more general sets of $SU(3) \otimes SU(2) \otimes U(1)$ multiplets than those contained in the SU(5) $5 + \bar{5}$ or $10 + \bar{10}$ multiplets. The largest mass for the lighter scalar Higgs is found to be 132 GeV when the breaking parameter $Λ$ is taken to be 100 TeV\@. Thus the predictions for the lightest Higgs mass can be tested at the upgraded Tevatron runs for these general classes of GMSB models.
We estimate the upper bound of the Higgs mass and allowed parameter region in the anomaly mediated supersymmetry breaking models. There has been a difficulty that the parameter region cannot be determined precisely in almost SUSY models. However, we succeed to give strict constraints on the parameters from the recent results of the precision measurements of the muon g-2 (anomalous magnetic dipole moment). Especially, the upper bound of the Higgs mass is obtained as a function of only $\tanβ$, and is estimated less than about 123 (GeV) for all the range of $\tanβ<60$ .
We analyze the impact of Higgs-mediated amplitudes on the rare decays KL -> pi0 nu nu-bar and K+ -> pi+ nu nu-bar in the MSSM with large tan(beta) and general flavour mixing. We point out that, going beyond the minimal flavour violation hypothesis, Z-penguin amplitudes generated by charged-Higgs exchange can induce sizable modifications of K -> pi nu nu-bar rates. Interestingly, these effects scale as tan^4(beta) at the amplitude level. For large values of tan(beta), this mechanism allows deviations from the SM expectations even for tiny (CKM-type) off-diagonal mixing terms in the right-handed…
We describe the calculation of the one-loop corrections to $H \to γγ$ and $g g \to H$ within the four-dimensional unsubtraction/loop-tree duality (FDU/LTD) approach. The fact that these corrections are both IR and UV finite is not enough to perform the computation without a proper regularization of the intermediate steps. We show how the FDU/LTD method unambiguously leads to the proper result with a pure four-dimensional representation of the loop amplitude. Moreover, this method allows us to obtain very compact expressions which share the same functional structure independently of the particl…
It has been recently demonstrated that the 125 GeV Higgs boson can mediate a long-range force between TeV-scale particles, that can impact considerably their annihilation due to the Sommerfeld effect, and hence the density of thermal relic dark matter. In the presence of long-range interactions, the formation and decay of particle-antiparticle bound states can also deplete dark matter significantly. We consider the Higgs boson as mediator in the formation of bound states, and compute the effect on the dark matter abundance. To this end, we consider a simplified model in which dark matter co-an…
We discuss the $μ$-$e$ transition processes induced by non-holomorphic Yukawa interactions in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). When supersymmetry is broken, the coupling structures between Higgs doublets and leptons are modified and flavor-changing neutral currents could be generated. In the framework of the MSSM, we calculate those effects to the rates for $\meg$, $\meee$, and $μ$-$e$ conversion in nuclei. We perform more detailed calculations of the lepton flavor violating (LFV) operators in the heavy Higgs decoupling limit than previous works, and show the accurate $\tanβ$ …
We study the effect of the Higgs-exchange diagram for the lepton flavor violating muon-electron conversion process in nuclei in the supersymmetric seesaw model. The contribution is significant for a large value of tan beta and a small value of a neutral heavy Higgs boson mass, in which case the ratio of the branching ratios of B(mu N -> e N) / B(mu -> e gamma) is enhanced. We also show that the target atom dependence of the conversion branching ratio provides information on the size of the Higgs exchange diagram.
Charged Higgs production in association with staus in electron positron annihilation is a signal of supersymmetry with bilinear R-Parity violation. In this model, neutrino masses and mixing angles are generated due to mixing with neutralinos. We show how parameters related to neutrino physics can be determined at a $500 {\mathrm fb}^{-1}$ Linear Collider from measurements of charged Higgs and stau production cross sections and decay rates. This can be achieved in AMSB where charged Higgs and stau can have similar masses.
In the two-Higgs doublet extension of the standard model, flavor-changing neutral couplings arise naturally. In the lepton sector, the largest such coupling is expected to be $μ-τ-ϕ#. We consider the effects of this coupling on the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. The resulting bound on the coupling, unlike previous bounds, is independent of the value of other unknown couplings. It will be significantly improved by the upcoming E821 experiment at Brookhaven National Lab.
We study the impact of the inverse seesaw mechanism on several leptonic and hadronic low-energy flavour-violating observables in the context of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. Indeed, the contributions of the light right-handed sneutrinos from the inverse seesaw significantly enhance the Higgs-mediated penguin diagrams. We find that this can increase the different branching ratios by as much as two orders of magnitude.
We explore the flavor-changing parameters mediated by a Higgs boson within the THDM-III context. In particular, the $h\to t^* c$ processes, and check the high suppression for the FC in the THDM-III context for the low $t_β$ parameters. Our exploration in the $χ_{ij}^{u}-χ_{ij}^{d}-$parameter space shows the allowed regions for different $t_β^{}$ values. We explored different modes for Higgs decays, considered the experimental constraints to get scattering plots for the FC parameters and some relevant decay modes. We expect future results to figure out the FC and its implications in the scalar …
We study in some detail the next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model with gauge mediation of supersymmetry breaking. We find that it is feasible to spontaneously generate values of the Higgs mass parameters $μ$ and $B_μ$ consistent with radiative electroweak symmetry breaking. The model has a phenomenologically viable particle spectrum. Messenger sneutrinos with mass in the range 6 to 25 TeV can serve as cold dark matter. It is also possible to evade the cosmological domain wall problem in this scenario.
If tan(beta) is large, down-type quark mass matrices and Yukawa couplings cannot be simultaneously diagonalized, and flavour violating couplings of the neutral Higgs bosons are induced at the 1-loop level. These couplings lead to Higgs-mediated contributions to the decays B_s -> mu+ mu- and B_d -> tau+ tau-, at a level that might be of interest for the current Tevatron run, or possibly, at B-factories. We evaluate the branching ratios for these decays within the framework of minimal gravity-, gauge- and anomaly-mediated SUSY breaking models, and also in SU(5) supergravity models with non-unive…
Novel contributions to the total inclusive cross section for Higgs-Strahlung in the Standard Model at hadron colliders are evaluated. Although formally of order $α_s^2$, they have not been taken into account in previous NNLO predictions. The terms under consideration are induced by Higgs radiation off top-quark loops and thus proportional to the top-quark Yukawa coupling. At the Tevatron, their effects to HW production are below 1% in the relevant Higgs mass range, while for HZ production, we find corrections between about 1% and 2%. At the LHC, the contribution of the newly evaluated terms to…
We study the rates allowed for the Higgs-mediated decays $B_{s,d}^0\toμτ, eτ$ and $τ\to μμμ, eμμ$ in supersymmetric seesaw models, assuming that the only source of lepton flavour violation (LFV) is the renormalization of soft supersymmetry-breaking terms due to off-diagonal singlet-neutrino Yukawa interactions. These decays are strongly correlated with, and constrained by, the branching ratios for $B_{s,d}^0\toμμ$ and $τ\to μ(e)γ.$ Parametrizing the singlet-neutrino Yukawa couplings $Y_ν$ and masses $M_{N_i}$ in terms of low-energy neutrino data, and allowing the flavour-universal soft masses …
In certain mild extensions of the Standard Model, spin-independent long range forces can arise by exchange of two very light pseudoscalar spin--0 bosons. In particular, we have in mind models in which these bosons do not have direct tree level couplings to ordinary fermions. Using the dispersion theoretical method, we find a $1/r^{3}$ behaviour of the potential for the exchange of very light pseudoscalars and a $1/r^{7}$ dependence if the pseudoscalars are true massless Goldstone bosons.
At the LHC, the gluon-initiated processes are considered to be the primary source of di-Higgs production. However, in the presence of a new resonance, the light-quark initiated processes can also contribute significantly. In this paper, we look at the di-Higgs production mediated by a new singlet scalar. The singlet is produced in both quark-antiquark and gluon fusion processes through loops involving a scalar leptoquark and right-handed neutrinos. With benchmark parameters inspired from the recent resonant di-Higgs searches by the ATLAS collaboration, we examine the prospects of such a resona…
We investigate possible scenarios of light-squark production at the LHC as a new mechanism to produce Higgs bosons in association with jets. The study is motivated by the SUSY search for H+jets events, performed by the CMS collaboration on 8 and 13 TeV data using the razor variables. Two simplified models are proposed to interpret the observations in this search. The constraint from Run I and the implications for Run II and beyond are discussed.
We study the breaking of supersymmetry in models with anomalous U(1). These models are simple to construct and contain natural candidates for being the messengers of gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking. When some of the ordinary matter fields transform under the anomalous U(1), we find a hybrid scenario in which the U(1) and the gauge interactions mediate the breaking of supersymmetry. This leads to a hierarchy of soft masses between the charged and neutral fields and provides a solution to the $μ$-problem. Among these models, we present a scenario in which the Higgs arises as a pseudo-Golds…
In this paper we consider signal-background interference effects in Higgs-mediated diphoton production at the LHC. After reviewing earlier works that show how to use these effects to constrain the Higgs boson total decay width, we provide predictions beyond NLO accuracy for the interference and related observables, and study the impact of QCD radiative corrections on the Higgs width determination. In particular, we use the so-called soft-virtual approximation to estimate interference effects at NNLO in QCD. The inclusion of these effects reduce the NNLO prediction for the total Higgs cross-sec…
We perform an analysis of Higgs portal models of dark matter (DM), where DM is light enough to contribute to invisible Higgs decays. Using effective field theory we show that DM can be a thermal relic only if there are additional light particles present with masses below a few 100 GeV. We give three concrete examples of viable Higgs portal models of light DM: (i) the SM extended by DM scalar along with an electroweak triplet and a singlet, (ii) a Two Higgs Doublet Model of type II with additional scalar DM, (iii) SM with DM and an extra scalar singlet that is lighter than DM. In all three exam…
Mirage mediation realized in the Kachru-Kallosh-Linde-Trivedi (KKLT) flux compactification can naturally suppress the up-type Higgs soft mass at low energy scales. As a result, compared to the conventional scenarios, the degree of electroweak fine-tuning can be reduced further up to by a loop factor if the Higgsinos are much lighter than the heavy Higgs doublet. Interestingly, this feature holds even in high-scale supersymmetry as long as the gauge coupling unification, which is required as a prerequisite for mirage mediation, accommodates such light Higgsinos. Under the experimental constrain…
The flavor changing neutral current (FCNC) transitions t --> q'H and t --> q'V_i (V_i=γ, g, Z) are studied in the context of the effective Lagrangian approach. We focus on the scenario in which these decays are predominantly induced by new physics effects arising from the Yukawa sector extended with dimension-six SU_L(2) X U_Y(1)-invariant operators, which generate the most general CP-even and CP-odd tq'H vertex at the tree level. For the unknown coefficients, we assume a slightly modified version of the Cheng-Sher ansatz. We found that the branching ratio for the Higgs-mediated FCNC t--> q'V_…
The size of the branching ratios for the $τ\to μγ$ and $τ\to μγγ$ decays induced by a lepton flavor violating Higgs interaction $Hτμ$ is studied in the frame of effective field theories. The best constraint on the $Hτμ$ vertex, derived from the know measurement on the muon anomalous magnetic moment, is used to impose the upper bounds $Br(τ\to μγ)<2.5\times 10^{-10}$ and $Br(τ\to μγγ)<2.3\times 10^{-12}$, which are more stringent than current experimental limits on this class of transitions.
At the LHC, directly pair-produced sleptons may be easier to identify than those arising in cascade decays of squarks or gluinos. Higgs exchange processes leading to such slepton pair-production are calculated to one-loop in the MSSM. It turns out, surprisingly, that their total contribution can dominate the usual Drell-Yan production in certain regions of the parameter space. In particular, an interesting region with low $\tan β$ is covered by the dominant exchange of the heavier neutral scalar $H^0$.
We investigate the implications of models that achieve a Standard Model-like Higgs boson of mass near 125 GeV by introducing additional TeV-scale supermultiplets in the vector-like 10+\bar{10} representation of SU(5), within the context of gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking. We study the resulting mass spectrum of superpartners, comparing and contrasting to the usual gauge-mediated and CMSSM scenarios, and discuss implications for LHC supersymmetry searches. This approach implies that exotic vector-like fermions t'_{1,2}, b',and τ' should be within the reach of the LHC. We discuss the masse…
In the so-called Planckian Interacting Dark Matter (PIDM) scenario, superheavy dark matter particles are produced after inflation by gravity-mediated interactions through the freeze-in mechanism. In the minimal PIDM model, the absence of any additional direct coupling with Standard Model particles is assumed. However, for scalar dark matter particles there is no symmetry that suppresses the Higgs portal coupling. In this paper, we therefore study the impact of a non-zero interaction with the Higgs field on the PIDM paradigm for scalar dark matter. In particular, we fully explore the model para…
In these proceedings we review the impact of the tauonic $B$ decays $B\toτν$, $B\to Dτν$ and $B\to D^*τν$ on Higgs mediated flavour violation. For this purpose we study a 2HDM with generic flavour structure (of type III). We find that despite the stringent constraints from FCNC processes sizable effects in tauonic $B$ decays are possible if top-related flavour violation is large and that the tensions with the SM predictions can be resolved even when taking into account the recent CMS bounds on $A^0\toτ^+τ^-$.
We study interference effects in the production channel ZZ + jet, in particular focusing on the role of the Higgs boson. This production channel receives contributions both from Higgs boson-mediated diagrams via the decay $H \to ZZ$ (signal diagrams), as well as from diagrams where the Z-bosons couple directly to a quark loop (background diagrams). We consider the partonic processes $gggZZ$ and $gq \bar{q} ZZ$ in which interference between signal and background diagrams first occurs. Since interference is primarily an off-resonant effect for the Higgs boson, we treat the Z-bosons as on-shell. …
We analise phenomenological implications of two Higgs doublet models with Higgs flavour changing neutral currents suppressed in the quark sector by small entries of the Cabibbo-Kokayashi-Maskawa matrix. This suppression occurs in a natural way since it is the result of a symmetry applied to the Lagrangian. These type of models were proposed some time ago by Branco Grimus and Lavoura. Our results clearly show that these class of models allow for new physical scalars, with masses which are reachable at the LHC. The imposed symmetry severely reduces the number of free parameters and allows for pr…
We present in analytic form the O(alpha_s^5) correction to the H->gg partial width of the standard-model Higgs boson with intermediate mass M_H<2M_t. Its knowledge is useful because the O(alpha_s^4) correction is sizeable (around 20%). For M_H=120 GeV, the resulting QCD correction factor reads 1 + (215/12) alpha_s^(5)(M_H)/pi + 152.5 (alpha_s^(5)(M_H)/pi)^2 + 381.5 (alpha_s^(5)(M_H)/pi)^3 \approx 1+0.65+0.20+0.02. The new four-loop correction increases the total Higgs-boson hadronic width by a small amount of order 1 promille and stabilizes significantly the residual scale dependence.
We present compact analytic formulae for all one-loop amplitudes representing the production of a Higgs boson in association with two jets, mediated by a colour triplet scalar particle. Many of the integral coefficients present for scalar mediators are identical to the case when a massive fermion circulates in the loop, reflecting a close relationship between the two theories. The calculation is used to study Higgs boson production in association with two jets in a simplified supersymmetry (SUSY) scenario in which the dominant additional contributions arise from loops of top squarks. The resul…
We employ relations between spacelike and timelike deep-inelastic processes in perturbative QCD to calculate the next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) contributions to the timelike quark-quark and gluon-gluon splitting functions for the evolution of flavour-singlet fragmentation distributions. We briefly address the end-point behaviour and the numerical size of these third-order corrections, and write down the second moments of all four timelike splitting functions. In the same manner we re-derive the NNLO result for the Higgs-boson decay rate into hadrons in the limit of a heavy top quark and …
We consider the standard model with two Higgs doublets with the most general Yukawa coupling terms (``type III''). In the model, the neutral-Higgs-mediated flavor-changing neutral currents (FCNC's) are allowed, but must be reasonably suppressed at low energies of probes. It has been known that the existing hierarchies of quark masses render this suppression at low energies rather natural. On the other hand, the model has been regarded by many as unnatural because of the absence of any symmetry that would ensure persistence of this suppression as the energy of probes increases. The opinion has …
We derive the general resummed effective Lagrangian for Higgs-mediated flavour-changing neutral-current (FCNC) interactions in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM), without resorting to particular assumptions that rely on the squark-mass or the quark-Yukawa structure of the theory. In our derivation we also include the possibility of explicit CP violation through the Cabibbo--Kobayashi--Maskawa mixing matrix and soft supersymmetry-breaking mass terms. The advantages of our resummed FCNC effective Lagrangian are explicitly demonstrated within the context of phenomenologically motiva…
Next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) QCD corrections to Higgs boson hadroproduction have recently been calculated in the heavy top-quark limit m_t -> \infty. The m_t -> \infty limit introduces double-logarithmic corrections in ln x, with x = m_H^2 / s. We identify these corrections order by order in alpha_s. As an application, we derive an analytic expression for the dominant x << 1 part of the NNLO coefficient.
We perform a comprehensive study of the dominant two- and higher-loop contributions to the $^{205}$Tl, neutron and muon electric dipole moments induced by Higgs bosons, third-generation quarks and squarks, charginos and gluinos in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). We find that strong correlations exist among the contributing CP-violating operators, for large stop, gluino and chargino phases, and for a wide range of values of $\tanβ$ and charged Higgs-boson masses, giving rise to large suppressions of the $^{205}$Tl and neutron electric dipole moments below their present experim…
We compute the complete set of Higgs-mediated chargino-neutralino two-loop contributions to the electric dipole moments (EDMs) of the electron and neutron in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). We study the dependence of these contributions on the parameters that govern CP-violation in the MSSM gauge-gaugino-Higgs-Higgsino sector. We find that contributions mediated by the exchange of W H^\pm and Z A^0 pairs, where H^\pm and A^0 are the charged and CP-odd Higgs scalars, respectively, are comparable to or dominate over those mediated by the exchange of neutral gauge bosons and CP-…
We revisit charged lepton flavor violating (CLFV) scattering processes $\ell_{i} N \to τX \, (\ell_{i} \ni e, μ)$ mediated by Higgs. We point out that a new subprocess $\ell_{i} g \to τg$ via the effective interactions of Higgs and gluon gives the dominant contribution to $\ell_{i} N \to τX$ for an incident beam energy of $E_{\ell} \lesssim 1\,\text{TeV}$ in fixed target experiments. Furthermore, in the light of quark number conservation, we consider quark pair-production processes $\ell_{i} g \to τq \bar{q}$ ($q$ denotes quarks) instead of $\ell_{i} q \to τq$. This corrects the threshold ener…
A mechanism for the enhancement for proton lifetime in supersymmetric/supergravity (SUSY/SUGRA) grand unified theories (GUTs) and in string theory models is discussed where Higgsino mediated proton decay arising from color triplets (anti-triplets) with charges $Q=-1/3(1/3)$ and $Q=-4/3(4/3)$ is suppressed by an internal cancellation due to contributions from different sources. We exhibit the mechanism for an SU(5) model with $45_H+\bar{45}_H$ Higgs multiplets in addition to the usual Higgs structure of the minimal model. This model contains both $Q=-1/3(1/3)$ and $Q=-4/3(4/3)$ Higgs color trip…
In the minimal anomaly-mediated supersymmetry breaking (AMSB) model, a universal contribution $m_{0}$ to all the scalar masses is introduced in order to avoid the negative slepton mass problem. The Higgs spectrum and couplings are determined by four parameters: $m_{\rm aux}, m_{0}, \tanβ$ and sign ($μ$). The sign of $μ$ affects $m_A$ at large $\tanβ$ and $m_h$ at small $\tanβ$. The CP-odd Higgs mass $m_A$ is usually much larger than ${m}_{Z}$ and the lightest CP-even Higgs is simply analogous to the one in the standard model. The current and future Higgs searches in LEP, Tevatron and LHC provi…
In these proceedings we review the flavour phenomenology of two-Higgs-doublet models (2HDMs) and connect the results to the decoupling limit of the MSSM. We first study the impact of FCNC constraints on the allowed parameter space of the 2HDM and examine how recent deviations from the SM expectations in tauonic $B$ decays (observed by BABAR) can be explained in a 2HDM with generic flavour structure (of type III) with sizable flavour violation in the up-sector. Afterwards, we discusses the matching of the MSSM on the 2HDM of type III. Here we focus on the two-loop SQCD corrections to the Higgs-…
In the light of the recent measurement of the muon anmalous magnetic moment $a_μ$ by the Muon $(g-2)$ Collaboration, we examine the contribution to $a_μ$ from the exchange of flavor changing scalars. Assuming that the heavier generations have larger flavor changing couplings, we obtain a bound on $μ- τ$ Yukawa coupling for a given scalar mass. Constraints on other flavor changing/conserving couplings are also obtained from the lepton flavor violating decays of muon and tau lepton, and bounds on the branching ratio of $τ\to 3 e$, $μ\to 3 e$ and $τ\to e μe$ processes are predicted.
We point out that a sector required to set the cosmological constant to zero in gauge-mediated supersymmetry-breaking models naturally produces a supersymmetry-invariant mass ($μ$ term) for Higgs doublets of the order of the electroweak scale. Since this new sector preserves the supersymmetry, it does not generate supersymmetry-breaking masses for the Higgs doublets and thus the $μ$ problem is solved.
Recent observations of neutrino oscillations imply non-zero neutrino masses and flavor violation in the lepton sector, most economically explained by the seesaw mechanism. Within the context of supersymmetry, lepton flavor violation (LFV) among the neutrinos can be communicated by renormalization group flow to the sleptons and from there to the charged leptons. We show that LFV can appear in the couplings of the neutral Higgs bosons, an effect that is strongly enhanced at large tan(beta). In particular, we calculate the branching fraction for tau -> 3 mu and mu -> 3 e mediated by Higgs and fin…
We consider axion-mediated dark matter models motivated by Fermi gamma ray line at 130 GeV, where anomaly interactions of an axion-like scalar mediate a singlet Dirac fermion dark matter (DM) to electroweak gauge bosons. In these models, extra vector-like leptons generate anomaly interactions for the axion and can also couple to the SM Higgs boson to modify the Higgs-to-diphoton rate. We can distinguish models by the branching fraction of the DM annihilation into a photon pair, favoring the model with a triplet fermion. From the condition that the lighter charged extra lepton must be heavier t…
We study the interplay between the spontaneous breaking of a global symmetry of the Higgs sector and gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking, in the framework of a supersymmetric model with global SU(3) symmetry. In addition to solving the supersymmetric flavour problem and alleviating the little hierarchy problem, this scenario automatically triggers the breaking of the global symmetry and provides an elegant solution to the mu/Bmu problem of gauge mediation. We study in detail the processes of global symmetry and electroweak symmetry breaking, including the contributions of the top/stop and ga…
