We study the dynamics of a Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model in the presence of Markovian dissipation, with a focus on late-time dynamics and the approach to thermal equilibrium. Making use of a vectorized bosonic representation of the corresponding Lindblad master equation, we use degenerate perturbation theory in the weak-dissipation limit to analytically obtain the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the Liouvillian superoperator, which in turn give access to closed-form analytical expressions for the time evolution of the density operator and observables. Our approach is valid for large systems, but takes into account leading-order finite-size corrections to the infinite-system result. As an application, we show that the dissipative Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model equilibrates by passing through a continuum of thermal states with damped oscillations superimposed, until finally reaching an equilibrium state with a temperature that in general differs from the bath temperature. We discuss limitations of our analytic techniques by comparing to exact numerical results.
We present an optical cavity QED configuration that is described by a dissipative version of the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model of an infinitely coordinated spin system. This open quantum system exhibits both first- and second-order non-equilibrium quantum phase transitions as a single, effective field parameter is varied. Light emitted from the cavity offers measurable signatures of the critical behavior, including that of the spin-spin entanglement.
We establish a relation between several entanglement properties in the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model, which is a system of mutually interacting spins embedded in a magnetic field. We provide analytical proofs that the single-copy entanglement and the global geometric entanglement of the ground state close to and at criticality behave as the entanglement entropy. These results are in deep contrast to what is found in one- dimensional spin systems where these three entanglement measures behave differently.
We propose a scheme in which the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model is realized within a circuit QED system. An array of N superconducting qubits interacts with a driven cavity mode. In the dispersive regime, the cavity mode is adiabatically eliminated generating an effective model for the qubits alone. The characteristic long-range order of the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model is here mediated by the cavity field. For a closed qubit system, the inherent second order phase transition of the qubits is reflected in the intensity of the output cavity field. In the broken symmetry phase, the many-body ground st…
The dynamics of the one-tangle and the concurrence is analyzed in the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model which describes many physical systems such as the two-mode Bose-Einstein condensates. We consider two different initial states which are physically relevant and show that their entanglement dynamics are very different. A semiclassical analysis is used to compute the one-tangle which measures the entanglement of one spin with all the others, whereas the frozen-spin approximation allows us to compute the concurrence using its mapping onto the spin squeezing parameter.
We study the quantum metric tensor and its scalar curvature for a particular version of the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model. We build the classical Hamiltonian using Bloch coherent states and find its stationary points. They exhibit the presence of a ground state quantum phase transition, where a bifurcation occurs, showing a change of stability associated with an excited state quantum phase transition. Symmetrically, for a sign change in one Hamiltonian parameter, the same phenomenon is observed in the highest energy state. Employing the Holstein-Primakoff approximation, we derive analytic express…
The multiparticle entanglement in the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model has been discussed extensively in this paper. Measured by the global entanglement and its generalization, our calculation shows that the multiparticle entanglement can faithfully detect quantum phase transitions. For an antiferromagnetic case the multiparticle entanglement reaches the maximum at the transition point, whereas for ferromagnetic coupling, two different behaviors of multiparticle entanglement can be identified, dependent on the anisotropic parameter in the coupling.
The relation between the geometric phase and quantum phase transition has been discussed in the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model. Our calculation shows the ability of geometric phase of the ground state to mark quantum phase transition in this model. The possibility of the geometric phase or its derivatives as the universal order parameter of characterizing quantum phase transitions has been also discussed.
We study the critical properties of the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick Model in terms of the fidelity susceptibility. By using the Holstein-Primakoff transformation, we obtain explicitly the critical exponent of the fidelity susceptibility around the second-order quantum phase transition point. Our results provide a rare analytical case for the fidelity susceptibility in describing the universality class in quantum critical behavior. The different critical exponents in two phases are non-trivial results, indicating the fidelity susceptibility is not always extensive.
In the system of several interacting spins, geometric phases have been researched intensively. However, the studies are mainly focused on the adiabatic case (Berry phase), so it is necessary for us to study the non-adiabatic counterpart (Aharonov and Anandan phase). In this paper, we analyze both the non-degenerate and degenerate geometric phase of Lipkin-Meskov-Glick type model, which has many application in Bose-Einstein condensates and entanglement theory. Furthermore, in order to calculate degenerate geometric phases, the Floquet theorem and decomposition of operator are generalized. And th…
We discuss the description of quantum magnetization in the super paramagnetic compound Fe$_8$ using a generalization of the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick Hamiltonian. We study the variation of the energy spectra and of the wave-functions as functions of the intensity of an external magnetic field along the three magnetic anisotropy axes.
We investigate spin squeezing for a Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick (LMG) model coupled to a general non-Markovian environment in a finite temperature regime. Using the non-Markovian quantum state diffusion and master equation approach, we numerically study non-Markovian spin squeezing generation in LMG model. Our results show that the total spin number N, energy kBT, and certain coefficients in a LMG model can play a crucial role in generating spin squeezing. In particular, it shows that the maximum spin squeezing can be significantly enhanced when the participating environment has a relatively long mem…
We explore a dynamic signature of quantum phase transition (QPT) in an isotropic Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick (LMG) model by studying the time evolution of a central qubit coupled to it. We evaluate exactly the time-dependent purity, which can be used to measure quantum coherence, of the central qubit. It is found that distinctly different behaviors of the purity as a function of the parameter reveal clearly the QPT point in the system. It is also clarified that the present model is equivalent to an anti Jaynes-Cummings model under certain conditions.
We present the many-particle Hamiltonian model of Lipkin, Meshkov and Glick in the context of deformed polynomial algebras and show that its exact solutions can be easily and naturally obtained within this formalism. The Hamiltonian matrix of each $j$ multiplet can be split into two submatrices associated to two distinct irreps of the deformed algebra. Their invariant subspaces correspond to even and odd numbers of particle-hole excitations.
A method based on the analyzis of the Majorana polynomial roots is introduced to compute the spectrum of the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model in the thermodynamical limit. A rich structure made of four qualitatively different regions is revealed in the parameter space whereas the ground state study only distinguishes between two phases.
Fisher information, lies at the heart of parameter estimation theory, was recently found to have a close relation with multipartite entanglement (Pezzé and Smerzi, Phys. Rev. Lett. 102, 100401). We use Fisher information to distinguish and characterize behaviors of ground state of the Lipkin-Meskhov-Glick model, which displays a second-order quantum phase transition between the broken and symmetric phases. We find that the parameter sensitivity of the system attains the Heisenberg limit in the broken phase, while it is just around the shot-noise limit in the symmetric phase. Based on parameter…
Quantum coherence reflects the origin of quantumness and might be capable of extracting the subtle nature of a system. We investigate the ground-state coherence and steered coherence in the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model and show that they detect faithfully the quantum phase transitions of this model. Moreover, we carry out scaling analysis on the coherence and steered coherence by means of the continuous unitary transformation method and it is found that the scaling exponents are uniquely determined by the phase region of this model. These results may provide useful insights into the mechanism un…
The basic Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model displays a second order ground state quantum phase transition and an excited state quantum phase transition (ESQPT). The inclusion of an anharmonic term in the Hamiltonian implies a second ESQPT of a different nature. We characterize this ESQPT using the mean field limit of the model. The new ESQPT, associated with the changes in the boundary of the finite Hilbert space of the system, can be properly described using the order parameter of the ground state quantum phase transition, the energy gap between adjacent states, the participation ratio, and the quan…
We introduce a novel semiclassical approach to the Lipkin model. In this way the well-known phase transition arising at the critical value of the coupling is intuitively understood. New results -- showing for strong couplings the existence of a threshold energy which separates deformed from undeformed states as well as the divergence of the density of states at the threshold energy -- are explained straightforwardly and in quantitative terms by the appearance of a double well structure in a classical system corresponding to the Lipkin model. Previously unnoticed features of the eigenstates nea…
We study the ground state properties of the critical Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model. Using the Holstein-Primakoff boson representation, and the continuous unitary transformation technique, we compute explicitly the finite-size scaling exponents for the energy gap, the ground state energy, the magnetization, and the spin-spin correlation functions. Finally, we discuss the behavior of the two-spin entanglement in the vicinity of the phase transition.
We investigate the role of dissipation in excited state quantum phase transitions (ESQPT) within the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model. Signatures of the ESQPT are directly visible in the complex spectrum of an effective Hamiltonian, whereas they get smeared out in the time-dependence of system observables. In the latter case, we show how delayed feedback control can be used to restore the visibility of the ESQPT signals.
We investigate the dynamics of quantum discord and entanglement for two central spin qubits coupled to an isotropic Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick bath. It is found that both quantum discord and entanglement have quite distinct behaviors with respect to the two different phases of the bath. In the case of the symmetry broken phase bath, quantum discord and entanglement can remain as constant. In the case of the symmetric phase bath, quantum discord and entanglement always periodically oscillate with time. The critical point of quantum phase transition of the bath can be revealed clearly by the distinct …
We analyze the entanglement entropy in the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model, which describes mutually interacting spins half embedded in a magnetic field. This entropy displays a singularity at the critical point that we study as a function of the interaction anisotropy, the magnetic field, and the system size. Results emerging from our analysis are surprisingly similar to those found for the one-dimensional XY chain.
We apply a measurement-based closed-loop control scheme to the dissipative Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model. Specifically, we use the Wiseman-Milburn feedback master equation to control its quantum phase transition. For the steady state properties of the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick system under feedback we show that the considered control scheme changes the critical point of the phase transition. Finite-size corrections blur these signatures in operator expectation values but entanglement measures such as concurrence can be used to locate the transition point more precisely. We find that with feedback, the …
We study the reduced fidelity susceptibility $χ_{r}$ for an $M$-body subsystem of an $N$-body Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model with $τ=M/N$ fixed. The reduced fidelity susceptibility can be viewed as the response of subsystem to a certain parameter. In noncritical region, the inner correlation of the system is weak, and $χ_{r}$ behaves similar with the global fidelity susceptibility $χ_{g}$, the ratio $η=χ_{r}/χ_{g}$ depends on $τ$ but not $N$. However, at the critical point, the inner correlation tends to be divergent, then we find $χ_{r}$ approaches $χ_{g}$ with the increasing the $N$, and $η=1$ i…
We study transitionless quantum driving in an infinite-range many-body system described by the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model. Despite the correlation length being always infinite the closing of the gap at the critical point makes the driving Hamiltonian of increasing complexity also in this case. To this aim we develop a hybrid strategy combining shortcut to adiabaticity and optimal control that allows us to achieve remarkably good performance in suppressing the defect production across the phase transition.
The Variational Quantum Eigensolver (VQE) is a promising algorithm for Noisy Intermediate Scale Quantum (NISQ) computation. Verification and validation of NISQ algorithms' performance on NISQ devices is an important task. We consider the exactly-diagonalizable Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick (LMG) model as a candidate for benchmarking NISQ computers. We use the Bethe ansatz to construct eigenstates of the trigonometric LMG model using quantum circuits inspired by the LMG's underlying algebraic structure. We construct circuits with depth $\mathcal{O}(N)$ and $\mathcal{O}(\log_2N)$ that can prepare any tri…
The spectral property of the supersymmetric (SUSY) antiferromagnetic Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick (LMG) model with an even number of spins is studied. The supercharges of the model are explicitly constructed. By using the exact form of the supersymmetric ground state we introduce simple trial variational states for first excited states. It is demonstrated numerically that they provide a relatively accurate upper bound for the spectral gap (the energy difference between the ground state and first excited states) in all parameter ranges. However, being an upper bound, it does not allow us to determine v…
We propose an efficient scheme for simulating the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick (LMG) model with nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center ensembles in diamond magnetically coupled to superconducting coplanar waveguide cavities. With the assistance of external microwave driving fields, we show that the interaction of the NV spins can be easily controlled, and several types of the LMG model can be realized by tuning the different parameters. Under the thermal dynamical limit, the distinct non-equilibrium second order quantum phase transition of the spin ensemble can be achieved at the critical point. Furthermore, we…
We investigate the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model coupled to a thermal bath. Since the isolated model itself exhibits a quantum phase transition, we explore the critical signatures of the open system. Starting from a system-reservoir interaction written in positive definite form, we find that the position of the critical point remains unchanged, in contrast to the popular mean-field prediction. Technically, we employ the polaron transform to be able to study the full crossover regime from the normal to the symmetry-broken phase, which allows us to investigate the fate of quantum-critical points su…
We examine the dynamics after a sudden quench in the magnetic field of the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model. Starting from the groundstate and by employing the time-dependent fidelity, we see manifestly different dynamics are present if the system is quenched through the critical point. Furthermore, we show that the average work shows no sensitivity to the quantum phase transition, however the free energy and irreversible work show markedly different rates of change in each phase. Finally, we assess the spectral function showing the fundamental excitations that dictate the dynamics of the post-quenc…
Correlations play a key role in critical phenomena. Quantities such as the entanglement entropy, for instance, provide key insights into the mechanisms underlying quantum criticality. Almost all of our present knowledge, however, is restricted to bipartite correlations. Some questions still remain unanswered, such as: What parcel of the total correlations are genuinely k-partite? With the goal of shedding light on this difficult question, in this paper we put forth a detailed study of the behavior of genuine multipartite correlations (GMC) of arbitrary orders in the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model.…
It is of high interest, in the context of Adiabatic Quantum Computation, to better understand the complex dynamics of a quantum system subject to a time-dependent Hamiltonian, when driven across a quantum phase transition. We present here such a study in the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick (LMG) model with one variable parameter. We first display numerical results on the dynamical evolution across the LMG quantum phase transition, which clearly shows a pronounced effect of the spectral avoided level crossings. We then derive a phenomenological (classical) transition model, which already shows some closen…
We analyze the finite-size scaling exponents in the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model by means of the Holstein-Primakoff representation of the spin operators and the continuous unitary transformations method. This combination allows us to compute analytically leading corrections to the ground state energy, the gap, the magnetization, and the two-spin correlation functions. We also present numerical calculations for large system size which confirm the validity of this approach. Finally, we use these results to discuss the entanglement properties of the ground state focusing on the (rescaled) concurren…
We establish a set of nonequilibrium quantum phase transitions in the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model under monochromatic modulation of the inter-particle interaction. We show that the external driving induces a rich phase diagram that characterizes the multistability in the system. Interestingly, the number of stable configurations can be tuned by increasing the amplitude of the driving field. Furthermore, by studying the quantum evolution, we demonstrate that the system exhibits a set of quantum phases that correspond to dynamically stabilized states.
Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model of two anisotropically interacting spins in a magnetic field is proposed as a working substance of a quantum Otto engine to explore and exploit the anisotropy effects for the optimization of engine operation. Three different cases for the adiabatic branches of the cycle have been considered. In the first two cases, either the magnetic field or coupling strength are changed; while in the third case, both the magnetic field and the coupling strength are changed by the same ratio. The system parameters for which the engine can operate similar to or dramatically differen…
We study the classical correlation (CC) and quantum discord (QD) between two spin subgroups of the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick (LMG) model in both binary and trinary decompositions of spins. In the case of bipartition, we find that the classical correlations and all the quantum correlations including the QD, the entanglement of formation (EoF) and the logarithmic negativity (LN) are divergent in the same singular behavior at the critical point of the LMG model. In the case of tripartition, however, the classical correlation is still divergent but all the quantum correlation measures remain finite at …
For a certain class of isolated quantum systems, we report the existence of irreversible processes in which the energy is not dissipated. After a closed cycle in which the initial energy distribution is fully recovered, the expectation value of a symmetry-breaking observable changes from a value different from zero in the initial state, to zero in the final state. This entails the unavoidable loss of a certain amount of information, and constitutes a source of irreversibility. We show that the von Neumann entropy of time-averaged equilibrium states increases in the same magnitude as a conseque…
The entanglement between noncomplementary blocks of a many-body system, where a part of the system forms an ignored environment, is a largely untouched problem without analytic results. We rectify this gap by studying the logarithmic negativity between two macroscopic sets of spins in an arbitrary tripartition of a collection of mutually interacting spins described by the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick Hamiltonian. This entanglement measure is found to be finite and universal at the critical point for any tripartition whereas it diverges for a bipartition. In this limiting case, we show that it behaves …
The Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick (LMG) model describes critical systems with interaction beyond the first-neighbor approximation. Here we address the characterization of LMG systems, i.e. the estimation of anisotropy, and show how criticality may be exploited to improve precision. In particular, we provide exact results for the Quantum Fisher Information of small-size LMG chains made of $N=2, 3$ and $4$ lattice sites and analyze the same quantity in the thermodynamical limit by means of a zero-th order approximation of the system Hamiltonian. We then show that the ultimate bounds to precision may be a…
Berry phases and quantum fidelities for interacting spins have attracted considerable attention, in particular in relation to entanglement properties of spin systems and quantum phase transitions. These efforts mainly focus either on spin pairs or the thermodynamic infinite spin limit, while studies of the multipartite case of a finite number of spins are rare. Here, we analyze Berry phases and quantum fidelities of the energetic ground state of a Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick (LMG) model consisting of three spin-1/2 particles (qubits). We find explicit expressions for the Berry phase and fidelity susc…
In this work we study a one-dimensional lattice of Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick models with alternating couplings between nearest-neighbors sites, which resembles the Su-Schrieffer-Heeger model. Typical properties of the underlying models are present in our semiclassical-topological hybrid system, allowing us to investigate an interplay between semiclassical bifurcations at mean-field level and topological phases. Our results show that bifurcations of the energy landscape lead to diverse ordered quantum phases. Furthermore, the study of the quantum fluctuations around the mean field solution reveals t…
We propose a scheme for spin-squeezing in the orbital motion of a Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) in a toroidal trap. A circular lattice couples two counter-rotating modes and squeezing is generated by the nonlinear interaction spatially modulated at half the lattice period. By varying the amplitude and phase of the modulation, various cases of the twisting tensor can be directly realized, leading to different squeezing regimes. These include one-axis twisting and the two-axis counter-twisting which are often discussed as the most important paradigms for spin squeezing. Our scheme naturally rea…
Stokes parameter formalism is applied to show the analogies between the motion of an asymmetric Foucault pendulum and several phenomena known from optics and atomic physics. Nonlinearity-induced precession of elliptical orbits of the pendulum is shown to correspond to twisting transformations used for spin squeezing of atomic systems. Transitions between regimes of predominant nonlinearity and regimes where the Coriolis force or the asymmetry of the pendulum are dominant correspond to quantum phase transitions in the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model. A Foucault pendulum with highly anisotropic dampi…
We study the quantum critical behavior of networks consisting of Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick models with an anisotropic ferromagnetic coupling. We focus on the low-energy properties of the system within a mean-field approach and the quantum corrections around the mean-field solution. Our results show that the weak-coupling regime corresponds to the paramagnetic phase when the local field dominates the dynamics, but the local anisotropy leads to the existence of an exponentially-degenerate ground state. In the strong-coupling regime, the ground state is twofold degenerate and possesses long-range magn…
The adiabatic quantum evolution of the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick (LMG) model across its quantum critical point is studied. The dynamics is realized by linearly switching the transverse field from an initial large value towards zero and considering different transition rates. We concentrate our attention on the residual energy after the quench in order to estimate the level of diabaticity of the evolution. We discuss a Landau-Zener approximation of the finite size LMG model, that is successful in reproducing the behavior of the residual energy as function of the transition rate in the most part of t…
We derive a Lindblad master equation that approximates the dynamics of a Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick (LMG) model weakly coupled to a bosonic bath. By studying the time evolution of operators under the adjoint master equation we prove that, for large system sizes, these operators attain their thermal equilibrium expectation values in the long-time limit, and we calculate the rate at which these values are approached. Integrability of the LMG model prevents thermalization in the absence of a bath, and our work provides an explicit proof that the bath indeed restores thermalization. Imposing thermalizat…
Lipkin model of arbitrary particle-number N is studied in terms of exact differential-operator representation of spin-operators from which we obtain the low-lying energy spectrum with the instanton method of quantum tunneling. Our new observation is that the well known quantum phase transition can also occur in the finite-N model only if N is an odd-number. We furthermore demonstrate a new type of quantum phase transition characterized by level-crossing which is induced by the geometric phase interference and is marvelously periodic with respect to the coupling parameter. Finally the conventio…
The fidelity metric has recently been proposed as a useful and elegant approach to identify and characterize both quantum and classical phase transitions. We study this metric on the manifold of thermal states for the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick (LMG) model. For the isotropic LMG model, we find that the metric reduces to a Fisher-Rao metric, reflecting an underlying classical probability distribution. Furthermore, this metric can be expressed in terms of derivatives of the free energy, indicating a relation to Ruppeiner geometry. This allows us to obtain exact expressions for the (suitably rescaled) …
We show that the classical model of Euler top (freely rotating, generally asymmetric rigid body), possibly supplemented with a rotor, corresponds to a generalized Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick (LMG) model describing phenomena of various branches of quantum physics. Classical effects such as free precession of a symmetric top, Feynman's wobbling plate, tennis-racket instability and the Dzhanibekov effect, attitude control of satellites by momentum wheels, or twisting somersault dynamics, have their counterparts in quantum effects that include spin squeezing by one-axis twisting and two-axis countertwist…
We study the dynamics of the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick (LMG) model with finite number of spins. In the thermodynamic limit, the ground state of the LMG model with isotropic Hamiltonian in broken phase breaks to a mean-field ground state with a certain direction. However, when the spins number $N$ is finite, the exact ground state is always unique and is not given by a classical mean-field ground state. Here we prove that for $N$ is large but finite, through a tiny external perturbation, a localized state which is close to a mean-field ground state can be prepared, which mimics a spontaneous symmetr…
In a recent work, we have derived simple Lindblad-based equations for the thermalization of systems in contact with a thermal reservoir. Here, we apply these equations to the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model (LMG) in contact with a blackbody radiation and analyze the dipole matrix elements involved in the thermalization process. We find that the thermalization can be complete only if the density is sufficiently high, while, in the limit of low density, the system thermalizes partially, namely, within the Hilbert subspaces where the total spin has a fixed value. In this regime, and in the isotropic c…
Information diagrams in the study of entanglement in symmetric multi-quDit systems and applications to quantum phase transitions in Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick D-level atom models
The spectrum of the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick model is exactly derived in the thermodynamic limit by means of a spin coherent states formalism. In the first step, a classical analysis allows one to distinguish between four distinct regions in the parameter space according to the nature of the singularities arising in the classical energy surface; these correspond to spectral critical points. The eigenfunctions are then analyzed more precisely in terms of the associated roots of the Majorana polynomial, leading to exact expressions for the density of states in the thermodynamic limit. Finite-size ef…
The Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick (LMG) model has a Schwinger boson realization in terms of a two-level boson pairing Hamiltonian. Through this realization, it has been shown that the LMG model is a particular case of the SU (1, 1) Richardson-Gaudin (RG) integrable models. We exploit the exact solvability of the model tostudy the behavior of the spectral parameters (pairons) that completely determine the wave function in the different phases, and across the phase transitions. Based on the relation between the Richardson equations and the Lamé differential equations we develop a method to obtain numeric…
Motivated by recent prototypes of engineered atomic spin devices, we study a fully connected system of $N$ spins $1/2$, modeled by the Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick (LMG) model of a collective spin $s=N/2$ in the presence of Markovian dissipation processes. We determine and classify the different phases of the dissipative LMG model with Markovian dissipation, including the properties of the steady-state and the dynamic behavior in the asymptotic long-time regime. Employing variational methods and a systematic approach based on the Holstein-Primakoff mapping, we determine the phase diagram and the spect…
