We consider a supersymmetric type-I seesaw framework with non-universal scalar masses at the GUT scale to explain the long-standing discrepancy of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. We find that it is difficult to accommodate the muon g-2 while keeping charged-lepton flavor violating processes under control for the conventional SO(10)-based relation between the up sector and neutrino sector. However, such tension can be relaxed by adding a Georgi-Jarlskog factor for the Yukawa matrices, which requires a non-trivial GUT-based model. In this model, we find that both observables are compatible for small mixings, CKM-like, in the neutrino Dirac Yukawa matrix.
We discuss lepton flavor violation (LFV) in the context of SUSY breaking when the first-two generation sleptons are heavy. When the first-two generation sleptons are $\mathcal{O}(5 {\rm TeV})$ and have small mass-splittings, we find that a light third generation slepton is allowed even with the large mixing implied by neutrino oscillation experiments. As an application, we consider a gravity dual to single-sector SUSY breaking and show that it is compatible with both LFV constraints and oscillation measurements.
By using the anomalous magnetic and electric dipole moments of the $τ$ lepton in an effective lagrangian approach to the new physics, we investigate the lepton flavor violation (LFV) decays, $l\to l'γ$, and $μ,τ$ anomalous magnetic and electric dipole moments in a lepton mass matrices ansatz which induced by SUSY GUT. We put very stringent constraints LFV decays and $τ$ anomalous magnetic and electric dipole moments.
Here we study and compare the sensitivity to the Higgs sector of the SUSY-seesaw models via the LFV tau decays: tau-> 3 mu, tau->K^{+}K^{-}, tau->mu eta and tau-> mu f_{0}. We emphasize that, at present, the two later channels are the most efficient ones to test indirectly the Higgs particles.
Here we review the main results of LFV in the semileptonic tau decays $τ\to μPP$ ($PP = π^+ π^-, π^0 π^0, K^+ K^-, K^0 \bar{K}^0$), $τ\to μP$ ($P = π, η, η^{\prime}$), and $τ\to μV$ ($V = ρ, ϕ$) as well as in $μ-e$ conversion in nuclei within SUSY-seesaw scenarios, and compare our predictions with the present experimental bounds
We study constraints on the fundamental parameters of supersymmetric type I seesaw models imposed by neutrino data, charged lepton flavor violation, thermal leptogenesis and perturbativity of the neutrino Yukawa couplings.
Realistic predictions are made for lepton flavour violating and flavour changing neutral current decays in the large tan beta regime of a SUSY-seesaw model. Lepton flavour violating neutral Higgs decays are discussed within this framework along with the highly constraining charged lepton decays l_i --> l_j + gamma. In the b-s system the important constraint from b --> s + gamma is studied in conjunction with the rare FCNC Bs --> mu mu (tau mu) decays and the recently measured Delta Ms.
We study the impact of a type-I SUSY seesaw concerning lepton flavour violation (LFV) both at low-energies and at the LHC. The study of the di-lepton invariant mass distribution at the LHC allows to reconstruct some of the masses of the different sparticles involved in a decay chain. In particular, the combination with other observables renders feasible the reconstruction of the masses of the intermediate sleptons involved in $ χ_2^0\to \tilde \ell \,\ell \to \ell \,\ell\,χ_1^0$ decays. Slepton mass splittings can be either interpreted as a signal of non-universality in the SUSY soft breaking-…
We study the impact of a type-I SUSY seesaw concerning lepton flavour violation (LFV) at low-energies and at the LHC. At the LHC, $ χ_2^0\to \tilde \ell \,\ell \to \ell \,\ell\,χ_1^0$ decays, in combination with other observables, render feasible the reconstruction of the masses of the intermediate sleptons, and hence the study of $\ell_i - \ell_j$ mass differences. If interpreted as being due to the violation of lepton flavour, high-energy observables, such as large slepton mass splittings and flavour violating neutralino and slepton decays, are expected to be accompanied by low-energy manife…
In this note we shortly comment on our analytical results in PRD73(2006)055003 for the $Z$ boson one-loop form factors contributing to the Lepton Flavour Violating $Z$ penguin diagrams in SUSY. In a recent communication [arXiv:1312.5318v1] it has been pointed out a mistake in our formulas for the chargino contribution to the $Z$-form factor, $F_L^{(c)}$, and these authors have included corrections to our results in a way that we do not agree with. We wish to clarify here what are the correct results for these form factors.
The recent discovery of a SM-like Higgs boson at the LHC, with a mass around 125-126 GeV, together with the absence of results in the direct searches for supersymmetry, is pushing the SUSY scale ($m_\text{SUSY}$) into the multi-TeV range. This discouraging situation from a low-energy SUSY point of view has its counterpart in indirect SUSY observables which present a non-decoupling behavior with $m_\text{SUSY}$. This is the case of the one-loop lepton flavor violating Higgs decay rates induced by SUSY, which are shown here to remain constant as $m_\text{SUSY}$ grows, for large $m_\text{SUSY} >$…
The seesaw mechanism is the most popular explanation for the smallness of neutrino masses. However, its high scale makes direct tests impossible and only indirect signals at low energies are reachable for collider experiments. One of these indirect links with the high scale is lepton flavor violation (LFV). We discuss LFV decays of sleptons in the context of a SUSY left-right symmetric model that naturally incorporates the seesaw mechanism. This non-minimal embedding of the seesaw leads to observable LFV effects in the right-handed sleptons sector, contrary to minimal models where these are fo…
Right-handed neutrinos in supersymmetric models can act as the source of lepton flavor violation (LFV). We present experimental implications of lepton flavor-violating processes within a supersymmetric type-I seesaw framework in the three-extra-parameter non-universal Higgs model (NUHM3) for large (PMNS-like) and small (CKM-like) Yukawa mixing scenarios. We highlight LFV predictions for the natural (low $Δ_{\rm EW}$) portion of parameter space. Our numerical analysis includes full 2-loop renormalization group running effects for the three neutrino masses and mass matrices. We show the projecte…
We study a supersymmetric (SUSY) Standard Model in which a Higgsino is light enough to be dark matter, while the other SUSY particles are much heavier than the weak scale. We carefully treat the effects of heavy SUSY particles to the Higgsino nature, especially taking into account the renormalization effects due to the large hierarchy between the Higgsino and the SUSY breaking scales. Inelastic scattering of the Higgsino dark matter with a nucleus is studied, and the constraints on the scattering by the direct detection experiments are discussed. This gives an upper limit on the new physics sc…
Radiatively-driven natural supersymmetry, a theoretically and experimentally well-motivated framework, centers around the predicted existence of four light, nearly mass-degenerate Higgsinos with mass $\sim 100-200$ GeV (not too far above $m_Z$). The small mass splittings amongst the higgsinos, typically 4-20 GeV, results in very little visible energy arising from decays of the heavier higgsinos. Given that other SUSY particles are considerably heavy, this makes detection challenging at hadron colliders. On the other hand, the clean environment of an electron-positron collider with $\sqrt{s}>2m…
Using the freedom in SO(10) GUT's one can generalize the existing models without changing the mass spectrum of fermions to obtain a significant suppression of proton decay resulting from the baryon number violating operators of dimension 5. In some limiting cases, their contributions can be made negligible compared to the dimension 6 operators resulting from the heavy gauge bosons exchange.
We present a renormalization group motivation of scale hierarchies in SUSY SU(5) model. The Split Higgsino scanrio with a high scale of the SUSY breaking is considered in detail. Its manifestations in experiments are discussed.
In the MSSM, the assumptions of a common sfermion mass parameter m_0 and a common gaugino mass parameter m_1/2, along with the requirements from radiative electroweak symmetry breaking, lead to relatively large values of the Higgs mixing parameter mu, and consequently to a gaugino-like lightest neutralino. Lifting the requirement that the Higgs mass parameters unify with the sfermion masses is known to allow for smaller mu. We show that a mu parameter sufficiently small to yield a Higgsino-like neutralino requires a precise adjustment of the Higgs mass parameter m_Hu. Consequently a gaugino-ty…
Motivated by the recent discovery of the Higgs boson at m_h = 126 GeV and also by the non-observation of superparticles at the LHC, high-scale SUSY, where the superparticles are as heavy as O(10) TeV, has been recently proposed. We study lepton-flavor violations (LFVs) in the high-scale SUSY with right-handed neutrinos. Even if the slepton masses are of O(10) TeV, the renormalization group (RG) effects on the slepton mass-squared matrix may induce large enough LFVs which are within the reach of future LFV experiments. We also discuss the implication of the right-handed neutrinos on the electro…
New version of the MSSM scales is discussed. In this version mu << M_{SUSY} ~ M_0 ~ M_{1/2}, where mu is the Higgsino mass, M_0 is the mass scale of sleptons and squarks, M_{1/2} is the mass scale of gaugino. Renormalization group motivation of this MSSM version is proposed. The radiation corrections give main contribution to the splitting of neutralino and chargino masses if M_{SUSY} > 10^7 GeV. Calculation of the mass difference has led to the value M_{chi_1^\pm}-M_{chi_{1,2}^0} ~ 360 MeV at M_{chi} ~ mu ~ 3 TeV. The mean life time of charged Higgsino in this model is tau_{chi_1^\pm} ~ 0.4 *…
Considerations from electroweak naturalness and stringy naturalness imply a little hierarchy in supersymmetric models where the superpotential higgsino mass parameter mu is of order the weak scale whilst the soft SUSY breaking terms may be in the (multi-) TeV range. In such a case, discovery of SUSY at LHC may be most likely in the higgsino pair production channel. Indeed, ATLAS and CMS are performing searches in the higgsino mass discovery plane of m(chi_2^0) vs. Δm^0 = m(chi_2^0)-m(chi_1^0). We examine several theoretical aspects of this discovery plane in both the gravity-mediation NUHM2 mo…
The like-sign dimuon charge asymmetry of the $B$ meson, which was reported in the D$Ø$ Collaboration, is studied in the SU(5) SUSY GUT model with $S_4$ flavor symmetry. Additional CP violating effects from the squark sector are discussed in $B_s-\bar B_s$ mixing process. The predicted like-sign charge asymmetry is in the 2$σ$ range of the combined result of D$Ø$ and CDF measurements. Since the SUSY contributions in the quark sector affect to the lepton sector because of the SU(5) GUT relation, two predictions are given in the leptonic processes: (i) both ${\rm BR}(μ\to e γ)$ and the electron E…
We give a simultaneous analysis of $g_μ-2$ and lepton flavor violation within MSSM. Working on the interaction basis, we give direct relations between $δa_μ$ and Br$(τ\toμγ)$ induced by the supersymmetric particles. We find the SUSY parameter space to satisfy the $g_μ-2$ constraint can be considerably different from that given in case of no lepton flavor mixing in the soft SUSY breaking sector.
It is often argued that low fine tuning in the MSSM necessarily requires a rather light Higgsino. In this note we show that this need not be the case when a more complete set of soft SUSY breaking mass terms are included. In particular an Higgsino mass term, that correlates the $μ-$term contribution with the soft SUSY-breaking Higgsino masses, significantly reduces the fine tuning even for Higgsinos in the TeV mass range where its relic abundance means it can make up all the dark matter.
We examine the prospects for detecting light charged higgsinos that are expected to be a necessary feature of natural SUSY models via $pp\to {\widetilde W}^\pm{\widetilde W}_1^\pm jj+X$ processes arising dominantly from $W^\pm W^\pm$ fusion at LHC13. The signal will be a pair of same-sign leptons ($e$ or $μ$) in events with two relatively forward, hemispherically-separated jets with a large rapidity gap. We find that even though the higgsinos have a full-strength $SU(2)$ gauge couplings to $W$-bosons, the LHC13 cross section for the production of same sign higgsino pairs is smaller than 0.02 f…
The recent NA48/2 improvement on R_K=Gamma(K->e nu_e)/Gamma(K->mu nu_mu) emphasizes the role of K_l2 decays in probing the mu-e universality. Supersymmetric (SUSY) extensions of the Standard Model can exhibit mu-e non-universal contributions. Their origin is twofold: those deriving from lepton flavor conserving couplings are subdominant with respect to those arising from lepton flavor violating (LFV) sources. We show that mu-e non-universality in K_l2 is quite effective in constraining relevant regions of SUSY models with LFV (for instance, supergravities with a see-saw mechanism for neutrino …
In these proceedings we present the results for lepton flavour violating tau and muon decays within the SUSY seesaw scenario. Specifically, we consider the Constrained Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model extended by three right handed neutrinos, $ν_{R_i}$ and their corresponding SUSY partners, ${\tilde ν}_{R_i}$, ($i=1,2,3$), and use the seesaw mechanism for neutrino mass generation. We include the predictions for the branching ratios of two types of lepton flavour violating channels, $l_j \to ł_i γ$ and $l_j \to 3 l_i$, and compare them with the present bounds and future experimental sensit…
The lightest superparticle in the MSSM is expected to be a Bino, Higgsino or Wino. We consider the dark matter abundance constraint on these LSP scenarios in the minimal SUGRA and AMSB models. We discuss the resulting collider signals for the Bino LSP at LHC and the Higgsino and Wino LSP at CLIC. The Bino, Higgsino and Wino LSP signals in dark matter experiments are also discussed briefly. We conclude with a discussion of these LSP scenarios in nonminimal SUSY models.
Neutrino oscillations give clear evidence for non-vanishing neutrino masses and lepton-flavor violation (LFV) in the neutrino sector. This provides strong motivation to search for signals of LFV also in the charged lepton sector, and to probe the SUSY see-saw mechanism. We compare the sensitivity of rare radiative decays on the right-handed Majorana mass scale M_R with the reach in slepton-pair production at a future linear collider.
In supersymmetric Grand Unified Theories, proton decay mediated by the color--triplet higgsino is generally problematic and requires some fine--tuning of parameters. We present a mechanism which naturally suppresses such dimension 5 operators in the context of SUSY $SO(10)$. The mechanism, which implements natural doublet--triplet splitting using the adjoint higgs, converts these dimension 5 operators effectively into dimension 6. By explicitly computing the higgs spectrum and the resulting threshold uncertainties we show that the successful prediction of $\sin^2θ_W$ is maintained {\it as a pr…
The lepton flavour violating charged lepton decays mu to e + gamma and thermal leptogenesis are analysed in the minimal supersymmetric standard model with see-saw mechanism of neutrino mass generation and soft supersymmetry breaking terms with universal boundary conditions. Hierarchical spectrum of heavy Majorana neutrino masses, M_1 << M_2 << M_3, is considered. In this scenario, the requirement of successful thermal leptogenesis implies a lower bound on M_1. For the natural GUT values of the heaviest right-handed Majorana neutrino mass, M_3 > 5 times 10^{13} GeV, and supersymmetry particle m…
We analyze the lepton flavor universality violation (LFV) in process $b\to s \ell^+\ell^-$ in an R-parity violating supersymmetric (RPV-SUSY) scenario. The most recent update on $\rk$ from the LHCb collaboration suggests approximately $3.1σ$ deviation from the Standard Model predictions, strengthening the case of LFV New Physics. In this work, we show that $R_{K^{(*)}}$ anomaly can be addressed via only sneutrinos within the framework of R-parity violating interactions assuming phenomenologically viable values of the couplings. While our proposed solution is by no means the only solution to th…
Given the recent progress in dark matter direction detection experiments, we examine a light bino-higgsino dark matter (DM) scenario ($M_1<100$ GeV and $μ<300$ GeV) in natural supersymmetry with the electroweak fine tuning measure $Δ_{EW}<30$. By imposing various constraints, we note that: (i) For $sign(μ/M_1)=+1$, the parameter space allowed by the DM relic density and collider bounds can almost be excluded by the very recent spin-independent (SI) scattering cross section limits from the XENON1T (2017) experiment. (ii) For $sign(μ/M_1)=-1$, the SI limits can be evaded due to the cancelation e…
In the light of the recent muon (g_mu-2) result by the E821 experiment at the Brookhaven National Laboratory, we study the event rates of the charged lepton-flavour-violating (LFV) processes in the supersymmetric standard model (SUSY SM) with the heavy right-handed neutrinos (SUSY see-saw model). Since the left-handed sleptons get the LFV masses via the neutrino Yukawa interaction in this model, the event rate of mu->e gamma and the SUSY-SM correction to (g_mu-2)/2 (δa_mu^{SUSY}) are strongly correlated. When the left-handed sleptons have a LFV mass between the first and second generations ((m…
No-scale structure of the Kahler potential is obtained in many types of supersymmetric models. In this paper, phenomenological aspects of these models are investigated with special attention to the current Higgs mass bound at LEP and b \to s γresult at the CLEO. When the boundary condition is given at the GUT scale and gaugino masses are universal at this scale, very narrow parameter region is allowed only for positive Higgsino mass region if R-parity is conserved. The negative Higgsino mass case is entirely excluded. On the other hand, relatively large parameter region is allowed when the bou…
The LFV charged lepton decays mu to e + gamma, tau to e + gamma and tau to mu + gamma and thermal leptogenesis are analysed in the MSSM with see-saw mechanism of neutrino mass generation and soft SUSY breaking with universal boundary conditions. The case of hierarchical heavy Majorana neutrino mass spectrum, M_1 << M_2 << M_3, is investigated. Leptogenesis requires M_1 > 10^9 GeV. Considering the natural range of values of the heaviest right-handed Majorana neutrino mass, M_3 > 5*10^{13} GeV, and assuming that the soft SUSY breaking universal gaugino and/or scalar masses have values in the ran…
We investigate a strategy to search for light, nearly degenerate higgsinos within the natural MSSM at the LHC. We demonstrate that the higgsino mass range $μ$ in $100-150$ GeV, which is preferred by the naturalness, can be probed at $2σ$ significance through the monojet search at 14 TeV HL-LHC with 3000 fb$^{-1}$ luminosity. The proposed method can also probe certain region in the parameter space for the lightest neutralino with a high higgsino purity, that cannot be reached by planned direct detection experiments at XENON-1T(2017).
We study the impact of neutrino masses and mixings on LFV processes within the context of the supersymmetric seesaw scenario, where the CMSSM is extended by three right-handed (s)neutrinos. A hierarchical spectrum is considered for both heavy and light neutrinos. We systematically analyse the interesting relation between the leptonic mixing angle $θ_{13}$ and LFV muon and tau decays, namely $l_j \to l_i γ$ and $l_j \to 3 l_i$, and discuss the interplay with the other relevant parameters. We require compatibility with low energy neutrino data, bounds on both LFV decays and charged lepton electr…
We investigate Lepton-Flavor Violating (LFV) decays of Higgs to muon-tau in the supersymmetric economical 3-3-1 (SUSYE331) model. In the presence of flavor mixing in sleptons {mu,tau} and large values of v/v', the ratio of Br(H -->tau^+mu^-)/Br(H -->tau^+tau^-) can reach to non-negligible values O(10^{-3}), as in many known SUSY models. We predict that for the Standard Model Higgs boson, the LHC may detect its decay to muon and tauon. We also investigate the asymmetry between left and right LFV values of corrections and prove that the LFV effects are dominated by the left FLV term, which is O(…
Models where supersymmetry (SUSY) is manifest only in a sector of the low-energy spectrum have been recently proposed as an alternative to the MSSM. In these models the electroweak scale is explained by a fine-tuning between different Higgs mass contributions (split-SUSY models), or by the localization of the Higgs sector in a point of an extra dimension where all the mass parameters are suppressed by the metric (partly-SUSY models). Therefore, the presence of a good dark matter candidate becomes the main motivation for (partial) low-energy SUSY. We study this issue in minimal frameworks where…
In supersymmetric (SUSY) models the misalignment between fermion and sfermion families introduces unsuppressed flavor-changing processes. Even if the mass parameters are chosen to give no flavor violation, family dependent radiative corrections make this adjustment not stable. In particular, due to the observed large neutrino mixings and potentially large neutrino Yukawa couplings, sizable lepton flavor violation (LFV) is expected. After introducing the basic concepts, the framework and the main assumptions, we report on a recent study of rare leptonic decays in a class of SUSY-GUT models with…
Under the expectation that nature is natural, we extend the Standard Model to include SUSY to stabilize the electroweak sector and PQ symmetry to stabilize the QCD sector. Then natural SUSY arises from a Kim-Nilles solution to the SUSY mu problem which allows for a little hierarchy where mu ~ f_a^2/M_P ~ 100-300 GeV while the SUSY particle mass scale m(SUSY)~ 1-10 TeV >> mu. Dark matter then consists of two particles: a higgsino-like WIMP and a SUSY DFSZ axion. The range of allowed axion mass values m(axion) depends on the mixed axion-higgsino relic density. The range of m(axion) is actually r…
A recently proposed class of supersymmetric models predicts rather light and nearly mass-degenerate higgsinos, while the other superparticles are significantly heavier. In this paper we study the early LHC phenomenology of a benchmark model of this kind. If the squarks and gluinos, and in particular the lighter stop, are still light enough to be within reach, then evidence for our model can be found in hadronic SUSY searches. Moreover, with dedicated searches it will be possible to distinguish the light higgsino model from generic SUSY models with a bino LSP. Search channels with b-jets and wi…
The heavy right-handed neutrinos in supersymmetric models can act as the source of lepton flavor violation (LFV). LFV processes like $ μ\rightarrow e γ$, $ τ\rightarrow μγ$, $ τ\rightarrow e γ$ is an effective way to explore new physics beyond the SM. Among the possible processes, $ μ$ decays have the greatest discovery potential in most of the supersymmetric models. Experimental inference of lepton flavor-violating processes within a supersymmetric type-II seesaw framework in the non-universal Higgs model (NUHM) and non-universal Scalar Mass model for Yukawa mixing scenarios in the $ S_{4} $ …
We examine the top squark (stop) and gluino reach of the proposed 33 TeV energy upgrade of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC33) in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) with light higgsinos and relatively heavy electroweak gauginos. In our analysis, we assume that stops decay to higgsinos via ${\tilde t}_1 \to t {\tilde{Z}}_1$, $\tilde{t}_1 \to t\tilde{Z}_2$ and $\tilde{t}$$_1 \to b\tilde{W}_1$ with branching fractions in the ratio 1:1:2 (expected if the decay occurs dominantly via the superpotential Yukawa coupling) while gluinos decay via $\tilde{g}\to t\tilde{t}_1$ or via three-body…
Particle physics models with Natural Supersymmetry are characterized by a superpotential parameter μ\sim m_h \sim125$ GeV, while third generation squarks have mass <0.5-1.5 TeV. Gluinos should be lighter than several TeV so as not to destabilize the lighter squarks. First and second generation sfermions can be at the tens-of-TeV level which yields a decoupling solution to the SUSY flavor and CP problems. Adopting a top-down approach, we delineate the range of GUT scale SUSY model parameters which leads to a Natural SUSY mass spectrum. We find natural SUSY models to be tightly constrained by th…
Lepton flavor violating Higgs boson decays (LFVHD) are studied in the context of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) being embeded in a mSUGRA scenario that is enlarged with three right handed neutrinos and their supersymmetric partners, and with the neutrino masses being generated by the seesaw mechanism. We compute the partial widths for these decays to one-loop order and analyze numerically the corresponding branching ratios in terms of the mSUGRA and seesaw parameters. We analyze in parallel the lepton flavor changing $ł_j\to l_i γ$ decays and explore the maximum predicted rat…
Supersymmetric models with low electroweak fine-tuning contain light higgsinos with mass not too far from m_h\simeq 125 GeV, while other sparticles can be much heavier. In the R-parity conserving MSSM, the lightest neutralino is then a higgsino-like WIMP (albeit with non-negligible gaugino components), with thermal relic density well below measured values. This leaves room for axions (or other, perhaps not as well motivated, stable particles) to function as co-dark matter particles. The local WIMP abundance is then expected to be below standard estimates, and direct and indirect detection rate…
In supersymmetry (SUSY) models with low electroweak naturalness (natSUSY), which have been suggested to be the most likely version of SUSY to emerge from the string landscape, higgsinos are expected at the few hundred GeV scale whilst electroweak gauginos inhabit the TeV scale. For TeV-scale heavy neutral SUSY Higgs bosons H and A, as currently required by LHC searches, then the dominant decay modes of H, A are into gaugino plus higgsino provided these decays are kinematically open. The light higgsinos decay to soft particles so are largely invisible whilst the gauginos decay to W, Z or h plus…
The Standard Model (SM) predictions for the lepton flavor-violating (LFV) processes like mu->eg are well far from any realistic experimental resolution, thus, the appearance of m->eg at the running MEG experiment would unambiguously point towards a New Physics (NP) signal. In this article, we discuss the phenomenological implications in case of observation/improved upper bound on m->eg at the running MEG experiment for supersymmetric (SUSY) scenarios with a see-saw mechanism accounting for the neutrino masses. We outline the role of related observables to m->eg in shedding light on the nature …
While the SUSY flavor, CP and gravitino problems seem to favor a very heavy spectrum of matter scalars, fine-tuning in the electroweak sector prefers low values of superpotential mass μ. In the limit of low μ, the two lightest neutralinos and light chargino are higgsino-like. The light charginos and neutralinos may have large production cross sections at LHC, but since they are nearly mass degenerate, there is only small energy release in three-body sparticle decays. Possible dilepton and trilepton signatures are difficult to observe after mild cuts due to the very soft p_T spectrum of the fin…
The identity of Dark Matter (DM) is one of the most active topics in particle physics today. Supersymmetry (SUSY) is an extension of the standard model (SM) that could describe the particle nature of DM in the form of the lightest neutralino in R-parity conserving models. We focus on SUSY models that solve the hierarchy problem with small fine tuning, and where the lightest SUSY particles ($\tildeχ_{1}^{0}$, $\tildeχ_{1}^{\pm}$, $\tildeχ_{2}^{0}$) are a triplet of higgsino-like states, such that the mass difference $Δm(\tildeχ^{0}_{2},\tildeχ^{0}_{1})$ is 2-50 GeV. We perform a feasibility stu…
We address the constraints on the SUSY seesaw parameters arising from Lepton Flavour Violation observables. Working in the Constrained Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model extended by three right-handed (s)neutrinos, we study the predictions for the branching ratios of $l_j \to l_i γ$ and $l_j \to 3 l_i$ channels. We impose compatibility with neutrino data, electric dipole moment bounds, and further require a successful baryon asymmetry of the Universe (via thermal leptogenesis). We emphasise the interesting interplay between $θ_{13}$ and the LFV muon decays, pointing out the hints on the SUS…
We examine proton decay mediated by color-triplet Higgsinos in minimal supersymmetric $SU(5)$ grand unified theory in light of the discovery of the Higgs boson and the absence of SUSY signals at the LHC. We pay special attention to various threshold effects arising from Planck-suppressed operators that affect the color-triplet Higgsino mass and also correct the wrong mass relations for the light fermions. Our analysis allows for a non-universal SUSY spectrum with the third family scalars having a separate mass compared to the first two families. We identify the allowed parameter space of the m…
