In this work, we use the statefinder parameter diagnostic to the Holographic principal inspired dark energy models, taking into consideration, the Tsallis Holographic dark energy (THDE) model, the standard Holographic dark energy (HDE) model, and the R$\acute{e}$nyi holographic dark energy (RHDE) model. The evolutionary behaviour of first statefinder $r(z)$, second statefinder parameter $s(z)$, the statefinder parameter pairs $(r, s)$ and $(r, q)$ as well as the deceleration parameter $q(z)$ are plotted for comparison for the various parameter values of the respective dark energy models. In the low redshift region, it is observed from these plots that the Tsallis holographic dark energy (THDE) model and R$\acute{e}$nyi holographic dark energy (RHDE) model approach to the $Λ$CDM model. While for the HDE model, the evolutionary behaviour can be differentiated from the $Λ$CDM model in the low-redshift region. For all three dark energy models, a direct comparison in $q(z)$, $r(z)$, $s(z)$, $(r, s)$ and $(r, q)$ plane have also been done, in which the discrimination between these three models wif the $Λ$CDM model) may be easily seen.
The geometrical spectra in loop quantum gravity (LQG) suffer from ambiguity up to the free Immirzi parameter that is often determined by comparing results from the theory with the established dynamics at the black hole horizon. We address conceptual difficulties associated with such approaches and point out that the Immirzi parameter can be fixed naively by applying the LQG version of the equipartition rule at a holographic boundary such that the Hawking-Unruh temperature law follows. The value of the Immirzi parameter derived in this way should possess universal validity. This approach also p…
We apply the statefinder diagnostic to the holographic dark energy models, including the original holographic dark energy (HDE) model, the new holographic dark energy model, the new agegraphic dark energy (NADE) model, and the Ricci dark energy model. In the low-redshift region the holographic dark energy models are degenerate with each other and with the $Λ$CDM model in the $H(z)$ and $q(z)$ evolutions. In particular, the HDE model is highly degenerate with the $Λ$CDM model, and in the HDE model the cases with different parameter values are also in strong degeneracy. Since the observational d…
The increasing interest in studying the role of holographic dark energy in the evolution of the very early universe motivates us to study it for the scenario of warm inflation. Due to this scenario, the holographic dark energy, which now drives inflation, has an interaction with the radiation. The case of interacting dark energy also has received increasing interest in studying the late time cosmology. The Infrared cutoff is taken as the Hubble length and all corrections are assumed to be exhibited by the parameter $c$, which appears in the holographic dark energy. By comparing the predictions…
The application of holographic principle in very early time is studied. The consideration of the principle in the late-time evolution will be a good motivation to study its role at the time of inflation. Since the length scale is expected to be small during inflation, the resulted energy density form the holographic principle is expected to be large enough to drive inflation. The entropy of the system is the main part of the holographic principle, in which modifying entropy will leads to a modified energy density. Here, instead of the original entropy, we are going to apply a modified entropy,…
The scenario of constant-roll inflation is investigated assuming that it is caused by holographic dark energy with energy density $3M_p^2 c^2 / L^2$. The energy density with varying $c$ parameter and Hubble radius as infrared cutoff provides a proper description for the late time acceleration expansion. This motivates us to study the role of the same holographic dark energy in the scenario of constant-roll inflation. One of the main features of constant-roll inflation is that the second slow-roll parameter is constant which is not necessarily small. This feature brings a differential equation …
We have reexamined the holographic dark energy model by considering the spatial curvature. We have refined the model parameter and observed that the holographic dark energy model does not behave as phantom model. Comparing the holographic dark energy model to the supernova observation alone, we found that the closed universe is favored. Combining with the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) data, we obtained the reasonable value of the spatial curvature of our universe.
The holographic cut-off, in the formalism of generalized holographic dark energy (HDE), is generalized to depend on $L_\mathrm{IR} = L_\mathrm{IR} \left( L_\mathrm{p}, \dot L_\mathrm{p}, \ddot L_\mathrm{p}, \cdots, L_\mathrm{f}, \dot L_\mathrm{f}, \cdots, a\right)$, where $L_\mathrm{p}$ and $L_\mathrm{f}$ are the particle horizon and future horizon respectively, and $a$ is the scale factor of the universe. Based on such formalism, we showed that the Barrow entropic dark energy (DE) model is equivalent to the generalized HDE where the respective holographic cut-off is determined by two ways -- …
Following the holographic principle, which suggests that the energy density of dark energy may be proportional inversely to the area of the event horizon of the Universe, we have proposed a new energy density of dark energy through the acceleration of particle horizon scaled by the length of this parameter. This model depends only on one free parameter beta=0-1.99. For beta's near zero, the deviation of the model compared with the Lambda CDM model is tangible while for values beta=1.99, the suggested model has no conflict with Lambda CDM theory. Regardless of the value of beta, the model prese…
In this paper we study (3+1) dimensional holographic superconductors in quasi-topological gravity which is recently proposed by R. Myers {\it et.al.}. Through both analytical and numerical analysis, we find in general the condensation becomes harder with the increase of coupling parameters of higher curvature terms. In particular, comparing with those in ordinary Gauss-Bonnet gravity, we find that positive cubic corrections in quasi-topological gravity suppress the condensation while negative cubic terms make it easier. We also calculate the conductivity numerically for various coupling parame…
We construct a $6$ derivative holographic superconductor model in the $4$-dimensional bulk spacetimes, in which the normal state describes a quantum critical (QC) phase. The phase diagram $(γ_1,\hat{T}_c)$ and the condensation as the function of temperature are worked out numerically. We observe that with the decrease of the coupling parameter $γ_1$, the critical temperature $\hat{T}_c$ decreases and the formation of charged scalar hair becomes harder. We also calculate the optical conductivity. An appealing characteristic is a wider extension of the superconducting energy gap, comparing with …
We construct Barrow holographic dark energy in the case of non-flat universe. In particular, considering closed and open spatial geometry we extract the differential equations that determine the evolution of the dark-energy density parameter, and we provide the analytical expression for the corresponding dark energy equation-of-state parameter. We show that the scenario can describe the thermal history of the universe, with the sequence of matter and dark energy epochs. Comparing to the flat case, where the phantom regime is obtained for relative large Barrow exponents, the incorporation of po…
We use observational data from Supernovae (SNIa) Pantheon sample, as well as from direct measurements of the Hubble parameter from the cosmic chronometers (CC) sample, in order to extract constraints on the scenario of Barrow holographic dark energy. The latter is a holographic dark energy model based on the recently proposed Barrow entropy, which arises from the modification of the black-hole surface due to quantum-gravitational effects. We first consider the case where the new deformation exponent $Δ$ is the sole model parameter, and we show that although the standard value $Δ=0$, which corr…
We discuss a scenario that the dark matter in late time universe emerges as part of the holographic stress-energy tensor on the hypersurface in higher dimensional flat spacetime. Firstly we construct a toy model with a de Sitter hypersurface as the holographic screen in the flat bulk. After adding the baryonic matter on the screen, we assume that both of the dark matter and dark energy can be described by the Brown-York stress-energy tensor. From the Hamiltonian constraint equation in the flat bulk, we find an interesting relation between the dark matter and baryonic matter's energy density pa…
We test a class of holographic models for the very early universe against cosmological observations and find that they are competitive to the standard $Λ$CDM model of cosmology. These models are based on three dimensional perturbative super-renormalizable Quantum Field Theory (QFT), and while they predict a different power spectrum from the standard power-law used in $Λ$CDM, they still provide an excellent fit to data (within their regime of validity). By comparing the Bayesian evidence for the models, we find that $Λ$CDM does a better job globally, while the holographic models provide a (marg…
We present a best-fit analysis on the single-parameter holographic dark energy model characterized by the conformal-age-like length, $L=\frac{1}{a^4(t)}\int_0^tdt' a^3(t') $. Based on the Union2 compilation of 557 supernova Ia data, the baryon acoustic oscillation results from the SDSS DR7 and the cosmic microwave background radiation data from the WMAP7, we show that the model gives the minimal $χ^2_{min}=546.273$, which is comparable to $χ^2_{Λ{\rm CDM}}=544.616$ for the $Λ$CDM model. The single parameter $d$ concerned in the model is found to be $d=0.232\pm 0.006\pm 0.009$. Since the fracti…
We generalize the previously proposed running vacuum energy model by including a term proportional to \dot{H}, in addition to the existing H^2 term. We show that the added degree of freedom is very constrained if both low redshift and high redshift data are taken into account. Best-fit models are undistinguishable from LCDM at the present time, but could be distinguished in the future with very accurate data at both low and high redshifts. We stress the formal analogy at the phenomenological level of the running vacuum models with recently proposed dark energy models based on the holographic o…
