The early epoch in which the first stars and galaxies formed is among the most exciting unexplored eras of the Universe. A major research effort focuses on probing this era with the 21-cm spectral line of hydrogen. While most research focused on statistics like the 21-cm power spectrum or the sky-averaged global signal, there are other ways to analyze tomographic 21-cm maps, which may lead to novel insights. We suggest statistics based on quantiles as a method to probe non-Gaussianities of the 21-cm signal. We show that they can be used in particular to probe the variance, skewness, and kurtosis of the temperature distribution, but are more flexible and robust than these standard statistics. We test these statistics on a range of possible astrophysical models, including different galactic halo masses, star-formation efficiencies, and spectra of the X-ray heating sources, plus an exotic model with an excess early radio background. Simulating data with angular resolution and thermal noise as expected for the Square Kilometre Array (SKA), we conclude that these statistics can be measured out to redshifts above 20 and offer a promising statistical method for probing early cosmic history.
We present a new probe of primordial non-Gaussianity via the 21cm radiation from minihalos at high redshifts. We calculate the fluctuations in the brightness temperature (measured against the cosmic microwave background) of the 21cm background from minihalos containing HI at redshift \sim 6-20, and find a significant enhancement due to small non-Gaussianity with amplitude f_NL \leq 1. This enhancement can be attributed to the nonlinear bias which is strongly increased in the presence of non-Gaussianity. We show that our results are robust against changes in the assumed mass function and some p…
We show that the ability to probe primordial non-Gaussianity with cluster counts is drastically improved by adding the excess variance of counts which contains information on the clustering. The conflicting dependences of changing the mass threshold and including primordial non-Gaussianity on the mass function and biasing indicate that the self-calibrated cluster counts well break the degeneracy between primordial non-Gaussianity and the observable-mass relation. Based on the Fisher matrix analysis, we show that the count variance improves constraints on f_NL by more than an order of magnitude…
The number count of ionized bubbles on a map of 21 cm fluctuations with the primordial non-Gaussianity is investigated. The existence of the primordial non-Gaussianity modifies the reionization process, because the formation of collapsed objects, which could be the source of reionization photons, is affected by the primordial non-Gaussianity. In this paper, the abundance of ionized bubbles is calculated by using a simple analytic model with the local type of the primordial non-Gaussianity, which is parameterized by f_{NL}. In order to take into account the dependence of the number count on the…
In this letter we present constraints on the scale-dependent "local" type primordial non-Gaussianity, which is described by non-Gaussianity's spectral index $n_{\rm NG}$, from the NRAO VLA Sky Survey and the quasar catalog of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) Data Release 6, together with the SDSS Data Release 12 photo-z sample. Here, we use the auto-correlation analyses of these three probes and their cross-correlation analyses with the cosmic microwave background (CMB) temperature map, and obtain the tight constraint on the spectral index: $n_{\rm NG}=0.2 ^{+0.7}_{-1.0}$ ($1\,σ$ C.L.), whi…
We introduce the numbers of hot and cold spots, $n_h$ and $n_c$, of excursion sets of the CMB temperature anisotropy maps as statistical observables that can discriminate different non-Gaussian models. We numerically compute them from simulations of non-Gaussian CMB temperature fluctuation maps. The first kind of non-Gaussian model we study is the local type primordial non-Gaussianity. The second kind of models have some specific form of the probability distribution function from which the temperature fluctuation value at each pixel is drawn, obtained using HEALPIX. We find the characteristic …
Line intensity mapping (LIM) has the potential to produce highly precise measurements of scale-dependence bias from primordial non-Gaussianity (PNG) due to its ability to map much larger volumes than are available from galaxy surveys. PNG parameterized by $f_{NL}$ leads to a scale-dependent correction to the bias, and therefore a correction to the line intensity power spectrum. However, LIM experiences contamination from foreground emission, including interloping emission lines from other redshifts which alter the power spectra of the maps at these scales, potentially biasing measurements of $…
In this paper we measure the angular power spectra $C_\ell$ of three high-redshift large-scale structure probes: the radio sources from the NRAO VLA Sky Survey (NVSS), the quasar catalogue of Sloan Digital Sky Survey Release Six (SDSS DR6 QSOs) and the MegaZ-LRG (DR7), the final SDSS II Luminous Red Galaxy (LRG) photometric redshift survey. We perform a global analysis of the constraints on the amplitude of primordial non-Gaussianity from these angular power spectra, as well as from their cross-correlation power spectra with the cosmic microwave background (CMB) temperature map. In particular,…
The leading candidate for the very early universe is described by a period of rapid expansion known as inflation. While the standard paradigm invokes a single slow-rolling field, many different models may be constructed which fit the current observational evidence. In this work we outline theoretical and observational studies of non-Gaussian fluctuations produced by models of inflation and by cosmic strings - topological defects that may be generated in the very early universe during a phase transition. In particular, we consider the imprint of cosmic strings on the cosmic microwave background…
We study observational implications of the stochastic gravitational wave background and a non-Gaussian feature of scalar perturbations on the curvaton mechanism of the generation of density/curvature fluctuations, and show that they can determine the properties of the curvaton in a complementary manner to each other. Therefore even if Planck could not detect any non-Gaussianity, future space-based laser interferometers such as DECIGO or BBO could practically exhaust its parameter space.
We present an analysis of the constraints on the amplitude of primordial non-Gaussianity of local type described by the dimensionless parameter $f_{\rm NL}$. These constraints are set by the auto-correlation functions (ACFs) of two large scale structure probes, the radio sources from NRAO VLA Sky Survey (NVSS) and the quasar catalogue of Sloan Digital Sky Survey Release Six (SDSS DR6 QSOs), as well as by their cross-correlation functions (CCFs) with the cosmic microwave background (CMB) temperature map (Integrated Sachs-Wolfe effect). Several systematic effects that may affect the observationa…
The angular power spectrum of the cosmic infrared background (CIB) is a sensitive probe of the local primordial bispectrum. CIB measurements are integrated over a large volume so that the scale dependent bias from the primordial non-Gaussianity leaves a strong signal in the CIB power spectrum. Although galactic dust dominates over the non-Gaussian CIB signal, it is possible to mitigate the dust contamination with enough frequency channels, especially if high frequencies such as the Planck 857 GHz channel are available. We show that, in this case, measurements of the cosmic microwave background…
Fast radio bursts (FRBs) are astrophysical transients of currently unknown origin, and so far several events have been detected at extragalactic distances. The dispersion measure (DM) of the radio signal is a probe of the integrated electron density along the line of sight and therefore allows to map the electron distribution within the large-scale structure. Since a fraction of electrons gets expelled from galaxies by feedback, they are anticorrelated with halos at large scales and hence the angular DM correlations show a scale-dependent bias caused by primordial non-Gaussianity. Although the…
We introduce a new mathematical tool (a direction-dependent probe) to analyse the randomness of purported isotropic Gaussian random fields on the sphere. We apply the probe to assess the full-sky cosmic microwave background (CMB) temperature maps produced by the {\it Planck} collaboration (PR2 2015 and PR3 2018), with special attention to the inpainted maps. To study the randomness of the fields represented by each map we use the autocorrelation of the sequence of probe coefficients (which are just the full-sky Fourier coefficients $a_{\ell,0}$ if the $z$ axis is taken in the probe direction).…
A new and powerful probe of the origin and evolution of structures in the Universe has emerged and been actively developed over the last decade. In the coming decade, non-Gaussianity, i.e., the study of non-Gaussian contributions to the correlations of cosmological fluctuations, will become an important probe of both the early and the late Universe. Specifically, it will play a leading role in furthering our understanding of two fundamental aspects of cosmology and astrophysics: (i) the physics of the very early universe that created the primordial seeds for large-scale structures, and (ii) th…
We consider the description of the clustering of halos for physically-motivated types of non-Gaussian initial conditions. In particular we include non-Gaussianity of the type arising from single field slow-roll, multi fields, curvaton (local type), higher-order derivative-type (equilateral), vacuum-state modifications (enfolded-type) and horizon-scale GR corrections type. We show that large-scale halo bias is a very sensitive tool to probe non-Gaussianity, potentially leading, for some planned surveys, to a detection of non-Gaussianity arising from horizon-scale GR corrections. In tandem with …
The large-scale clustering of galaxies can serve as a probe of primordial non-Gaussianity in the Universe competitive with the anisotropies of the CMB. Here, we present improved theoretical predictions which include an important, previously overlooked correction to the bias. We demonstrate that the new predictions are able to reproduce the results of N-body simulations, explaining the significant departures seen from previous theoretical results. These refined predictions open the way to accurate constraints on primordial physics with large-scale structure surveys.
Next-generation cosmological surveys will observe larger cosmic volumes than ever before, enabling us to access information on the primordial Universe, as well as on relativistic effects. We consider forthcoming 21cm intensity mapping surveys (SKAO) and optical galaxy surveys (DESI and Euclid), combining the information via multi-tracer cross-correlations that suppress cosmic variance on ultra-large scales. In order to fully incorporate wide-angle effects and redshift-bin cross-correlations, together with lensing magnification and other relativistic effects, we use the angular power spectra, $…
Primordial non-Gaussianity is a potentially powerful discriminant of the physical mechanisms that generated the cosmological fluctuations observed today. Any detection of significant non-Gaussianity would thus have profound implications for our understanding of cosmic structure formation. The large scale mass distribution in the Universe is a sensitive probe of the nature of initial conditions. Recent theoretical progress together with rapid developments in observational techniques will enable us to critically confront predictions of inflationary scenarios and set constraints as competitive as…
Primordial non-Gaussianity has emerged as one of the most promising probes of the inflationary epoch. While the cosmic microwave background and large-scale halo bias currently provide the most stringent constraints on the non-Gaussian parameter fNL, the abundance of dark matter halos is a complementary probe which may allow tests of Gaussianity which are independent of the precise form of non-Gaussian initial conditions. We study the halo mass function in N-body simulations with a range of non-Gaussian initial conditions. In addition to the usual fNL model, we consider gNL Phi^3-type non-Gauss…
We present constraints on the non-linear coupling parameter fnl with the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) data. We use the method based on the spherical Mexican hat wavelet (SMHW) to measure the fnl parameter for three of the most interesting shapes of primordial non-Gaussianity: local, equilateral and orthogonal. Our results indicate that this parameter is compatible with a Gaussian distribution within the two sigma confidence level (CL) for the three shapes and the results are consistent with the values presented by the WMAP team. We have included in our analysis the impact on fnl…
We calculate the scale dependence of the bispectrum and trispectrum in (quasi) local models of non-Gaussian primordial density perturbations, and characterize this scale dependence in terms of new observable parameters. They can help to discriminate between models of inflation, since they are sensitive to properties of the inflationary physics that are not probed by the standard observables. We find consistency relations between these parameters in certain classes of models. We apply our results to a scenario of modulated reheating, showing that the scale dependence of non-Gaussianity can be s…
A convincing detection of primordial non-Gaussianity in the local form of the bispectrum, whose amplitude is given by the fNL parameter, offers a powerful test of inflation. In this paper we calculate the modification of two-point cross-correlation statistics of weak lensing - galaxy-galaxy lensing and galaxy-Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) cross-correlation - due to fNL. We derive and calculate the covariance matrix of galaxy-galaxy lensing including cosmic variance terms. We focus on large scales (l<100) for which the shape noise of the shear measurement becomes irrelevant and cosmic varia…
We present new constraints on the non-linear coupling parameter fnl with the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) data. We use an updated method based on the spherical Mexican hat wavelet (SMHW) which provides improved constraints on the fnl parameter. This paper is a continuation of a previous work by Curto et al. where several third order statistics based on the SMHW were considered. In this paper, we use all the possible third order statistics computed from the wavelet coefficient maps evaluated at 12 angular scales. The scales are logarithmically distributed from 6.9 arcmin to 500 a…
We discuss models of primordial density perturbations where the non-Gaussianity is strongly scale-dependent. In particular, the non-Gaussianity may have a sharp cut-off and be very suppressed on large cosmological scales, but sizeable on small scales. This may have an impact on probes of non-Gaussianity in the large-scale structure and in the cosmic microwave background radiation anisotropies.
We propose a method to probe higher-order correlators of the primordial density field through the inhomogeneity of local non-Gaussian parameters, such as f_NL, measured within smaller patches of the sky. Correlators between n-point functions measured in one patch of the sky and k-point functions measured in another patch depend upon the (n+k)-point functions over the entire sky. The inhomogeneity of non-Gaussian parameters may be a feasible way to detect or constrain higher-order correlators in local models of non-Gaussianity, as well as to distinguish between single and multiple-source scenar…
Multi-field inflation models and non-Bunch-Davies vacuum initial conditions both predict sizeable non-Gaussian primordial perturbations and anisotropic $μ$-type spectral distortions of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) blackbody. While CMB anisotropies allow us to probe non-Gaussianity at wavenumbers $k\simeq 0.05\,{\rm Mpc^{-1}}$, $μ$-distortion anisotropies are related to non-Gaussianity of primordial perturbation modes with much larger wavenumbers, $k\simeq 740\,{\rm Mpc^{-1}}$. Through cross-correlations between CMB and $μ$-distortion anisotropies, one can therefore shed light on the a…
After reionisation, the 21cm emission line of neutral hydrogen within galaxies provides a tracer of dark matter. Next-generation intensity mapping surveys, with the SKA and other radio telescopes, will cover large sky areas and a wide range of redshifts, facilitating their use as probes of primordial non-Gaussianity. {Previous works have shown that the bispectrum can achieve tight constraints on primordial non-Gaussianity with future surveys that are purposely designed for intensity mapping in interferometer mode}. Here we investigate the constraints attainable from surveys operating in single…
The recent weak lensing measurement of the dark matter mass of the high-redshift galaxy cluster XMMUJ2235.3-2557 of (8.5 +- 1.7) x 10^{14} Msun at z=1.4, indicates that, if the cluster is assumed to be the result of the collapse of dark matter in a primordial gaussian field in the standard LCDM model, then its abundance should be < 0.002 clusters in the observed area. Here we investigate how to boost the probability of XMMUJ2235.3-2557 in particular resorting to deviations from Gaussian initial conditions. We show that this abundance can be boosted by factors > 3-10 if the non-Gaussianity para…
The observed hemispherical power asymmetry in cosmic microwave background radiation can be explained by long wavelength mode (long-mode) modulation. In this work we study the prospect of the detection of this effect in the angular power spectrum of 21-cm brightness temperature. For this task, we study the effect of the neutral Hydrogen distribution on the angular power spectrum. This is done by formulating the bias parameter of ionized fraction to the underlying matter distribution. We also discuss the possibility that the long mode modulation is companied with a primordial non-Gaussianity of …
Many inflation models predict that primordial density perturbations have a nonzero three-point correlation function, or bispectrum in Fourier space. Of the several possibilities for this bispectrum, the most commmon is the local-model bispectrum, which can be described as a spatial modulation of the small-scale (large-wavenumber) power spectrum by long-wavelength density fluctuations. While the local model predicts this spatial modulation to be scale-independent, many variants have some scale-dependence. Here we note that this scale dependence can be probed with measurements of frequency-spect…
When applied to the non-linear matter distribution of the universe, neural networks have been shown to be very statistically sensitive probes of cosmological parameters, such as the linear perturbation amplitude $σ_8$. However, when used as a "black box", neural networks are not robust to baryonic uncertainty. We propose a robust architecture for constraining primordial non-Gaussianity $f_{NL}$, by training a neural network to locally estimate $σ_8$, and correlating these local estimates with the large-scale density field. We apply our method to N-body simulations, and show that $σ(f_{NL})$ is…
We develop optimised estimators of two sorts of power spectra for fields defined on the sky, in the presence of partial sky coverage. The first is the cross-power spectrum of two fields on the sky; the second is the skew spectrum of three fields. These can probe the Integrated Sachs Wolfe Effect (ISW) at large angular scales and the Sunyaev Zéldovich (SZ) effect from hot gas in clusters at small angular scales. The skew spectrum, recently introduced by Munshi & Heavens (2009), is an optimised statistic which can be tuned to study a particular form of non-Gaussianity, such as may arise in the e…
In the last few decades, advances in observational cosmology have given us a standard model of cosmology. We know the content of the universe to within a few percent. With more ambitious experiments on the way, we hope to move beyond the knowledge of what the universe is made of, to why the universe is the way it is. In this review paper we focus on primordial non-Gaussianity as a probe of the physics of the dynamics of the universe at the very earliest moments. We discuss 1) theoretical predictions from inflationary models and their observational consequences in the cosmic microwave backgroun…
We study the peculiar velocities of density peaks in the presence of primordial non-Gaussianity. Rare, high density peaks in the initial density field can be identified with tracers such as galaxies and clusters in the evolved matter distribution. The distribution of relative velocities of peaks is derived in the large-scale limit using two different approaches based on a local biasing scheme. Both approaches agree, and show that halos still stream with the dark matter locally as well as statistically, i.e. they do not acquire a velocity bias. Nonetheless, even a moderate degree of (not necess…
The most direct probe of non-Gaussian initial conditions has come from bispectrum measurements of temperature fluctuations in the Cosmic Microwave Background and of the matter and galaxy distribution at large scales. Such bispectrum estimators are expected to continue to provide the best constraints on the non-Gaussian parameters in future observations. We review and compare the theoretical and observational problems, current results and future prospects for the detection of a non-vanishing primordial component in the bispectrum of the Cosmic Microwave Background and large-scale structure, and…
We compute the one-loop density power spectrum including Newtonian and relativistic contributions, as well as the primordial non-Gaussianity contributions from $f_{\rm NL}$ and $g_{\rm NL}$ in the local configuration. To this end we take solutions to the Einstein equations in the long-wavelength approximation and provide expressions for the matter density perturbation at second and third order. These solutions have shown to be complementary to the usual Newtonian cosmological perturbations. We confirm a sub-dominant effect from pure relativistic terms, manifested at scales dominated by cosmic …
We study the ability of future weak lensing (WL) surveys to constrain primordial non-Gaussianity of the local type. We use a large ensemble of simulated WL maps with survey specifications relevant to Euclid and LSST. The simulations assume Cold Dark Matter cosmologies that vary certain parameters around fiducial values: the non-Gaussianity parameter f_NL, the matter density parameter Omega_m, the amplitude of the matter power spectrum sigma_8, the spectral index of the primordial power spectrum n_s, and the dark-energy equation-of-state parameter w_0. We assess the sensitivity of the cosmic sh…
We show that intrinsic (not lensing-induced) correlations between galaxy shapes offer a new probe of primordial non-Gaussianity and inflationary physics which is complementary to galaxy number counts. Specifically, intrinsic alignment correlations are sensitive to an anisotropic squeezed limit bispectrum of the primordial perturbations. Such a feature arises in solid inflation, as well as more broadly in the presence of light higher spin fields during inflation (as pointed out recently by Arkani-Hamed and Maldacena). We present a derivation of the all-sky two-point correlations of intrinsic sh…
We constrain the primordial non-Gaussianity parameter of the local model f_{NL} using the skewness power spectrum associated with the two-to-one cumulant correlator of cosmic microwave background temperature anisotropies. This bispectrum-related power spectrum was constructed after weighting the temperature map with the appropriate window functions to form an estimator that probes the multipolar dependence of the underlying bispectrum associated with the primordial non-Gaussianity. We also estimate a separate skewness power spectrum sensitive more strongly to unresolved point sources. When com…
The bispectrum vanishes for linear Gaussian fields and is thus a sensitive probe of non-linearities and non-Gaussianities in the cosmic density field. Hence, a detection of the bispectrum in the halo density field would enable tight constraints on non-Gaussian processes in the early Universe and allow inference of the dynamics driving inflation. We present a tree level derivation of the halo bispectrum arising from non-linear clustering, non-linear biasing and primordial non-Gaussianity. A diagrammatic description is developed to provide an intuitive understanding of the contributing terms and…
We perform a Fisher matrix analysis to forecast the capability of ongoing and future Sunyaev-Zeldovich cluster surveys in constraining the deviations from Gaussian distribution of primordial density perturbations. We use the constraining power of the cluster number counts and clustering properties to forecast limits on the $\fnl$ parameter. The primordial non-Gaussianity effects on the mass function and halo bias are considered. We adopt self-calibration for the mass-observable scaling relation, and evaluate constraints for the SPT, Planck, CCAT--like, SPTPol and ACTPol surveys. We show that t…
The statistical properties of the primordial perturbations contain clues about the origins of those fluctuations. Although the Planck collaboration has recently obtained tight constraints on primordial non-gaussianity from cosmic microwave background measurements, it is still worthwhile to mine upcoming data sets in effort to place independent or competitive limits. The ionized bubbles that formed at redshift z~6-20 during the Epoch of Reionization are seeded by primordial overdensities, and so the statistics of the ionization field at high redshift are related to the statistics of the primord…
Large-scale clustering of highly biased tracers of large-scale structure has emerged as one of the best observational probes of primordial non-Gaussianity of the local type (i.e. f_{NL}^{local}). This type of non-Gaussianity can be generated in multifield models of inflation such as the curvaton model. Recently, Tseliakhovich, Hirata, and Slosar showed that the clustering statistics depend qualitatively on the ratio of inflaton to curvaton power ξafter reheating, a free parameter of the model. If ξis significantly different from zero, so that the inflaton makes a non-negligible contribution to…
Constraints on primordial non-Gaussianity (PNG) will shed light on the origin of primordial fluctuations and the physics of the early universe. The intensity mapping technique is a promising probe of structure formation on large scales; at high redshifts, it can provide complementary information to other cosmological probes. We explore the potential of future wide-field [CII] and CO intensity mapping surveys in constraining PNG of the local shape, which induces a distinct, scale-dependent correction to the line bias. We explore the parameter space of CO and [CII] survey designs that can achiev…
Local non-Gaussianities in the initial conditions of the Universe, parameterized by $f_{\rm NL}$, induce a scale-dependence in the large-scale bias of halos in the late Universe. This effect is a promising path to constrain multi-field inflation theories that predict non-zero $f_{\rm NL}$. While most existing constraints from the halo bias involve auto-correlations of the galaxy distribution, cross-correlations with probes of the matter density provide an alternative channel with fewer systematics. We present the strongest large-scale structure constraint on local primordial non-Gaussianity th…
We know very little about primordial curvature perturbations on scales smaller than about a Mpc. Measurements of the mu-type distortion of the CMB spectrum provide the unique opportunity to probe these scales over the unexplored range from 50 to 10^4 Mpc^-1. This is a very clean probe, in that it relies only on well-understood linear evolution. We point out that correlations between mu-distortion and temperature anisotropies can be used to test Gaussianity at these very small scales. In particular the mu-T cross correlation is proportional to the very squeezed limit of the primordial bispectru…

Minkowski Functionals (MFs) are topological statistics that have become one of many standard tools used for investigating the statistical properties of cosmological random fields. They have found regular use in studies of departures from Gaussianity in a number of important cosmological scenarios. Important examples include the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB), weak lensing studies, 21cm surveys and large scale structure (LSS). To lowest order the MFs depend on three generalised skewness parameters that can be shown to probe the bispectrum with differing weights. Recent studies have advocated…
UV luminosity functions provide a wealth of information on the physics of galaxy formation in the early Universe. Given that this probe indirectly tracks the evolution of the mass function of dark matter halos, it has the potential to constrain alternative theories of structure formation. One of such scenarios is the existence of primordial non-Gaussianity at scales beyond those probed by observations of the Cosmic Microwave Background. Through its impact on the halo mass function, such small-scale non-Gaussianity would alter the abundance of galaxies at high redshifts. In this work we present…
In this paper we present a new method to estimate a foreground cleaned Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) map at a resolution of $1^\circ$ by minimizing the non-Gaussian properties of the cleaned map which arise dominantly due to diffuse foreground emission components from the Milky Way. We employ simple kurtosis statistic as the measure of non-Gaussian properties and perform a linear combination of 5 frequency maps provided by Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) in its 7 year data release in such a way that the cleaned map has a minimum kurtosis which leads to a non-Gaussianity minimiz…

We analyze multi-field inflationary systems which yield strongly scale dependent non-Gaussianity with a shape that is very close to the local shape. As in usual multi-field models, the non-Gaussianity arises from the non-linear transfer of scalar field fluctuations to curvature perturbations. Here we consider models in which higher order terms (loops) dominate over the lowest order source of non-linearity. The magnitude of non-Gaussianity depends on an infrared cutoff which is determined by our observational probes measuring non-Gaussianity. In our models, the running is positive and large (n_…
We measure the skewness power spectrum of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) anisotropies optimized for a detection of the secondary bispectrum generated by the correlation of the CMB lensing potential with integrated Sachs-Wolfe effect and the Sunyaev-Zel'dovich effect. The covariance of our measurements is generated by Monte-Carlo simulations of Gaussian CMB fields with noise properties consistent with Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) 5-year data. When interpreting multi-frequency measurements we also take into account the confusion resulting from unresolved radio point sources…
