The non-Hermitian Su-Schrieffer-Heeger spinless Fermion model with interacting terms is studied by exact diagonalization. The model is derived from the spin chain with damping Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction. The presence of the interaction induce anomalous spectral function. The skin effect is exhibited by the non-diagonal terms of the Green's function, i.e. the spatial correlation. The interaction modifies the degeneracy between the ground state and the first excited state of the half filled systems, as well as between the ground state of the half and half plus one filled systems. The energy bands of the higher excited states within the topological regime have complicated pattern, depending on the sign and amplitude of the interaction.

A unique feature of non-Hermitian (NH) systems is the NH skin effect, i.e. the edge localization of an extensive number of bulk-band eigenstates in a lattice with open or semi-infinite boundaries. Unlike extended Bloch waves in Hermitian systems, the skin modes are normalizable eigenstates of the Hamiltonian that originate from the intrinsic non-Hermitian point-gap topology of the Bloch band energy spectra. Here we unravel a fascinating property of NH skin modes, namely self-healing, i.e. the ability to self-reconstruct their shape after being scattered off by a space-time potential.
In this paper, we study the conditions under which on-site dissipations can induce non-Hermitian skin modes in non-Hermitian systems. When the original Hermitian Hamiltonian has spinless time-reversal symmetry, it is impossible to have skin modes; on the other hand, if the Hermitian Hamiltonian has spinful time-reversal symmetry, skin modes can be induced by on-site dissipations under certain circumstance. Here, we reveal that the skin effect originates from intrinsic non-Hermitian topology. Such a topological origin not merely explains the universal feature of the known skin effect, but also leads to new types of the skin effects---symmetry-protected skin effects. We analyze a correlated system in equilibrium with special emphasis on non-Hermitian topology inducing a skin effect. The pseudo-spectrum, computed by the real-space dynamical mean-field theory, elucidates that additional pseudo-eigenstates emerge for the open boundary condition in contrast to the dependence of the density of states on the boundary condition.
