In this paper, we study the group Fourier transform and the Kohn-Nirenberg quantization for homogeneous Lie groups as mappings between certain Gelfand triples. For this, we restrict our considerations to the case, where the homogeneous Lie group $G$ admits irreducible unitary representations, that are square integrable modulo the center $Z(G)$ of $G$, and where $\dim Z(G)=1$. Replacing the Schwartz space by a certain subspace $\mathcal S_*(G) \hookrightarrow \mathcal S(G)$, we characterise the range of the group Fourier transform on $\mathcal S_*(G)$ and construct distributions and Gelfand triples around $L^2(G,μ)$ and its Fourier image $L^2(\hat G,\hat μ)$, such that the Fourier transform becomes a Gelfand triple isomorphism. We give results on the multiplication of distributions with a large class of vector valued smooth functions and use this to establish the Kohn-Nirenberg quantization as an isomorphism for our Gelfand triples and provide an explicit formula for the Kohn-Nirenberg symbol of an operator.
In this paper we obtain weighted higher order Rellich, weighted Gagliardo-Nirenberg, Trudinger, Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequalities and the uncertainty principle for Dunkl operators. Moreover, we introduce an extension of the classical Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequalities. Furthermore, we give an application of Gagliardo-Nirenberg inequality to the Cauchy problem for the nonlinear damped wave equations for the Dunkl Laplacian.
The paper provides weighted Sobolev inequalities of the Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg type for functions with multi-radial symmetry. Similarly to the previously studied radial case, the range of parameters in CKN inequalities can be extended, sometimes to infinity, providing a pointwise estimate similar to the classical radial estimate. Furthermore, the "multi-radial" weights are a stronger singularity than radial weights of the same homogeneity.
We establish sharp remainder terms of the $L^{2}$-Caffarelli-Kohn-Niren\-berg inequalities on homogeneous groups, yielding the inequalities with best constants. Our methods also give new sharp Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg type inequalities in $\mathbb{R}^{n}$ with arbitrary quasi-norms. We also present explicit examples to illustrate our results for different weights and in abelian cases.
We consider the Grushin type operator on $\mathbb{R}^{d}_x \times \mathbb{R}^{k}_y$ with the form \begin{equation*} G_μ=\overset{d}{\underset{i=1}{\sum}}\partial_{x_i}^2+\left(\overset{d}{\underset{i=1}{\sum}}x_i^2\right)^{2μ}\overset{k}{\underset{j=1}{\sum}}\partial_{y_j}^2. \end{equation*} and derive weighted Hardy-Sobolev type inequalities and weighted Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg type inequalities related to $G_μ$.
We prove $L^{p}$-Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg type inequalities on homogeneous groups, which is one of most general subclasses of nilpotent Lie groups, all with sharp constants. We also discuss some of their consequences. Already in the abelian case of $\mathbb{R}^{n}$ our results provide new insights in view of the arbitrariness of the choice of the not necessarily Euclidean quasi-norm.
This note relies mainly on a refined version of the main results of the paper by F. Catrina and D. Costa (J. Differential Equations 2009). We provide very short and self-contained proofs. Our results are sharp and minimizers are obtained in suitable functional spaces. As main tools we use the so-called \textit{expand of squares} method to establish sharp weighted $L^{2}$-Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg (CKN) inequalities and density arguments.
We find for small $ε$ positive solutions to the equation \[-\textrm{div} (|x|^{-2a}\nabla u)-\displaystyle{\fracλ{|x|^{2(1+a)}}} u= \Big(1+εk(x)\Big)\frac{u^{p-1}}{|x|^{bp}}\] in ${\mathbb{R}}^N$, which branch off from the manifold of minimizers in the class of radial functions of the corresponding Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg type inequality. Moreover, our analysis highlights the symmetry-breaking phenomenon in these inequalities, namely the existence of non-radial minimizers.
In this paper we obtain Hardy, weighted Trudinger-Moser and Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg type inequalities with sharp constants on Riemannian manifolds with non-positive sectional curvature and, in particular, a variety of new estimates on hyperbolic spaces. Moreover, in some cases we also show their equivalence with Trudinger-Moser inequalities. As consequences, the relations between the constants of these inequalities are investigated yielding asymptotically best constants in the obtained inequalities. We also obtain the corresponding uncertainty type principles.
In this paper we show different inequalities for fractional order differential operators. In particular, the Sobolev, Hardy, Gagliardo-Nirenberg and Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg type inequalities for the Caputo, Riemann-Liouville and Hadamard derivatives are obtained. In addition, we show some applications of these inequalities.

In this paper, we present a version of horizontal weighted Hardy-Rellich type and Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg type inequalities on stratified groups and study some of their consequences. Our results reflect on many results previously known in special cases. Moreover, a new simple proof of the Badiale-Tarantello conjecture [2] on the best constant of a Hardy type inequality is provided. We also show a family of Poincaré inequalities as well as inequalities involving the weighted and unweighted $p$-sub-Laplacians.
We characterize all the real numbers a,b,c and 1<= p,q,r<infty such that the weighted Sobolev space W_{a,b}^(q,p)(R^N\{0}) with power weights |x|^a and |x|^b is continuously embedded into L^{r}(R^N;|x|^cdx). Furthermore, we show that this embedding is (almost) always characterized by a multiplicative norm inequality. When a,b,c>-N and attention is confined to smooth functions with compact support, these inequalities coincide with the Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequalities. Variants for radially symmetric functions, or when r<=min{p,q}, are also obtained along the way.
An explicit expression for the Kohn-Nirenberg symbol of a Weyl- Heisenberg frame operator on $L^2(\mathbb{R})$ is obtained directly from the Gabor atom coming from new classes of window functions. This new approach, using only elementary Fourier analysis, is independent of the theory of distributions and works strictly inside $L^2(\mathbb{R})$. Kohn-Nirenberg operators are introduced and are shown to be Weyl-Heisenberg frame operators in suitable cases.
In this paper we prove a class of second order Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequalities which contains the sharp second order uncertainty principle recently established by Cazacu, Flynn and Lam \cite{CFL2020} as a special case. We also show the sharpness of our inequalities for several classes of parameters. Finally, we prove two stability versions of the sharp second order uncertainty principle of Cazacu, Flynn and Lam by showing that the difference of both sides of the inequality controls the distance to the set of extremal functions in $L^2$ norm of gradient of functions.
We establish improved versions of the Hardy and Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequalities by replacing the standard Dirichlet energy with some nonlocal nonconvex functionals which have been involved in estimates for the topological degree of continuous maps from a sphere into itself and characterizations of Sobolev spaces.

In the setting of a Lie group of polynomial volume growth, we derive inequalities of Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg type, where the weights involved are powers of the Carnot-Caratheodory distance associated with a fixed system of vector fields which satisfy the Hörmander condition. The use of weak $L^p$ spaces is crucial in our proofs and we formulate these inequalities within the framework of $L^{p,q}$ Lorentz spaces (a scale of (quasi)-Banach spaces which extend the more classical $L^p$ Lebesgue spaces) thereby obtaining a refinement of, for instance, Sobolev and Hardy-Sobolev inequalities.
In this short paper, we establish a range of Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg and weighted $L^{p}$-Sobolev type inequalities on stratified Lie groups. All inequalities are obtained with sharp constants. Moreover, the equivalence of the Sobolev type inequality and Hardy inequality is shown in the $L^{2}$-case.
We investigate Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg type inequalities for the weighted biharmonic operator on cones, both under Navier and Dirichlet boundary conditions. Moreover, we study existence and qualitative properties of extremal functions. In particular, we show that in some cases extremal functions do change sign; when the domain is the whole space, we prove some breaking symmetry phenomena.
In this article, we are study the following Dirichlet problem with Choquard type non linearity \[ -Δ_{\mathbb{H}} u = a u+ \left(\int_Ω\frac{|u(η)|^{Q^*_λ}}{|η^{-1}ξ|^λ}dη\right)|u|^{Q^*_λ-2}u \; \text{in}\; Ω,\quad u = 0 \; \text{ on } \partial Ω, \] where $Ω$ is a smooth bounded subset of the Heisenberg group $\mathbb{H}^N, N\in \mathbb N$ with $C^2$ boundary and $Δ_{\mathbb{H}}$ is the Kohn Laplacian on the Heisenberg group $\mathbb{H}^N$. Here, $Q^*_λ=\frac{2Q-λ}{Q-2},\; Q= 2N+2$ and $a$ is a positive real parameter. We derive the Brezis-Nirenberg type result for the above problem. Moreove…
We first establish a family of sharp Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg type inequalities on the Euclidean spaces and then extend them to the setting of Cartan-Hadamard manifolds with the same best constant. The quantitative version of these inequalities also are proved by adding a non-negative remainder term in terms of the sectional curvature of manifolds. We next prove several rigidity results for complete Riemannian manifolds supporting the Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg type inequalities with the same sharp constant as in $\mathbb R^n$ (shortly, sharp CKN inequalities). Our results illustrate the influ…
Motivated by the problem of channel estimation in wireless communications, we derive a reconstruction formula for pseudodifferential operators with a bandlimited symbol. This reconstruction formula uses the diagonal entries of the matrix of the pseudodifferential operator with respect to a Gabor system. In addition, we prove several other uniqueness theorems that shed light on the relation between a pseudodifferential operators and its matrix with respect to a Gabor system.
Recent sampling theorems allow for the recovery of operators with bandlimited Kohn-Nirenberg symbols from their response to a single discretely supported identifier signal. The available results are inherently non-local. For example, we show that in order to recover a bandlimited operator precisely, the identifier cannot decay in time nor in frequency. Moreover, a concept of local and discrete representation is missing from the theory. In this paper, we develop tools that address these shortcomings. We show that to obtain a local approximation of an operator, it is sufficient to test the opera…
We present some Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg-type inequalities on Herz-type Besov-Triebel-Lizorkin spaces, Besov-Morrey spaces and Triebel-Lizorkin-Morrey spaces. More Precisely, we investigate the inequalities \begin{equation*} \big\|f\big\|_{\dot{k}_{v,σ}^{α_{1},r}}\leq c\big\|f\big\|_{\dot{K}_{u}^{α_{2},δ}}^{1-θ}\big\|f\big\|_{\dot{K}_{p}^{α_{3},δ_{1}}A_{β}^{s}}^{θ}, \end{equation*} and \begin{equation*} \big\|f\big\|_{\mathcal{E}_{p,2,u}^{σ}}\leq c\big\|f\big\|_{\mathcal{M}_{μ}^{δ}}^{1-θ}\big\|f\big\|_{\mathcal{N}_{q,β,v}^{s}}^{θ}, \end{equation*} with some appropriate assumptions on the para…
In this paper we give an extension of the classical Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequalities: we show that for $1<p,q<\infty$, $0<r<\infty$ with $p+q\geq r$, $δ\in[0,1]\cap\left[\frac{r-q}{r},\frac{p}{r}\right]$ with $\frac{δr}{p}+\frac{(1-δ)r}{q}=1$ and $a$, $b$, $c\in\mathbb{R}$ with $c=δ(a-1)+b(1-δ)$, and for all functions $f\in C_{0}^{\infty}(\mathbb{R}^{n}\backslash\{0\})$ we have $$ \||x|^{c}f\|_{L^{r}(\mathbb{R}^{n})} \leq \left|\frac{p}{n-p(1-a)}\right|^δ \left\||x|^{a}\nabla f\right\|^δ_{L^{p}(\mathbb{R}^{n})} \left\||x|^{b}f\right\|^{1-δ}_{L^{q}(\mathbb{R}^{n})} $$ for $n\neq p(1-a)$, …
In this paper we develop the calculus of pseudo-differential operators corresponding to the quantizations of the form $$ Au(x)=\int_{\mathbb{R}^n}\int_{\mathbb{R}^n}e^{i(x-y)\cdotξ}σ(x+τ(y-x),ξ)u(y)dydξ, $$ where $τ:\mathbb{R}^n\to\mathbb{R}^n$ is a general function. In particular, for the linear choices $τ(x)=0$, $τ(x)=x$, and $τ(x)=\frac{x}{2}$ this covers the well-known Kohn-Nirenberg, anti-Kohn-Nirenberg, and Weyl quantizations, respectively. Quantizations of such type appear naturally in the analysis on nilpotent Lie groups for polynomial functions $τ$ and here we investigate the correspo…
In this paper, generalised weighted $L^p$-Hardy,$ L^p$-Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg, and $L^p$-Rellich inequalities with boundary terms are obtained on stratified Lie groups. As consequences, most of the Hardy type inequalities and Heisenberg- Pauli-Weyl type uncertainty principles on stratified groups are recovered. Moreover, a weighted $L^2$-Rellich type inequality with the boundary term is obtained.
In this paper we derive a variety of functional inequalities for general homogeneous invariant hypoelliptic differential operators on nilpotent Lie groups. The obtained inequalities include Hardy, Rellich, Hardy-Littllewood-Sobolev, Galiardo-Nirenberg, Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg and Trudinger-Moser inequalities. Some of these estimates have been known in the case of the sub-Laplacians, however, for more general hypoelliptic operators almost all of them appear to be new as no approaches for obtaining such estimates have been available. Moreover, we obtain several versions of local and global wei…
We give relations between main operators of quantum mechanics on one of most general classes of nilpotent Lie groups. Namely, we show relations between momentum and position operators as well as Euler and Coulomb potential operators on homogeneous groups. Homogeneous group analogues of some well-known inequalities such as Hardy's inequality, Heisenberg-Kennard type and Heisenberg-Pauli-Weyl type uncertainty inequalities, as well as Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequality are derived, with best constants. The obtained relations yield new results already in the setting of both isotropic and anisotr…
