The non-equilibrium steady states of integrable models are believed to be described by the Generalized Gibbs Ensemble (GGE), which involves all local and quasi-local conserved charges of the model. In this work we investigate integrable lattice models solvable by the nested Bethe Ansatz, with group symmetry $SU(N)$, $N\ge 3$. In these models the Bethe Ansatz involves various types of Bethe rapidities corresponding to the "nesting" procedure, describing the internal degrees of freedom for the excitations. We show that a complete set of charges for the GGE can be obtained from the known fusion hierarchy of transfer matrices. The resulting charges are quasi-local in a certain regime in rapidity space, and they completely fix the rapidity distributions of each string type from each nesting level.
We consider correlation functions in one dimensional quantum integrable models related to the algebra symmetries $\mathfrak{gl}(2|1)$ and $\mathfrak{gl}(3)$. Using the algebraic Bethe Ansatz approach we develop an expansion theorem, which leads to an infinite integral series in the thermodynamic limit. The series is the generalization of the LeClair-Mussardo series to nested Bethe Ansatz systems, and it is applicable both to one-point and two-point functions. As an example we consider the ground state density-density correlator in the Gaudin-Yang model of spin-1/2 Fermi particles. Explicit for…
We investigate form factors of local operators in the multi-component Quantum Non-linear Schrödinger model, a prototype theory solvable by the so-called nested Bethe Ansatz. We determine the analytic properties of the infinite volume form factors using the coordinate Bethe Ansatz solution and we establish a connection with the finite volume matrix elements. In the two-component models we derive a set of recursion relations for the "magnonic form factors", which are the matrix elements on the nested Bethe Ansatz states. In certain simple cases (involving states with only one spin-impurity) we o…
The nested off-diagonal Bethe ansatz method is proposed to diagonalize multi-component integrable models with generic integrable boundaries. As an example, the exact solutions of the su(n)-invariant spin chain model with both periodic and non-diagonal boundaries are derived by constructing the nested T-Q relations based on the operator product identities among the fused transfer matrices and the asymptotic behavior of the transfer matrices.
We consider quantum quenches in the so-called $q$-boson lattice model. We argue that the Generalized Eigenstate Thermalization Hypothesis holds in this model, therefore the Generalized Gibbs Ensemble (GGE) gives a valid description of the stationary states in the long time limit. For a special class of initial states (which are the pure Fock states in the local basis) we are able to provide the GGE predictions for the resulting root densities. We also give predictions for the long-time limit of certain local operators. In the $q\to\infty$ limit the calculations simplify considerably, the wave …
The thermodynamic Bethe ansatz approach to the study of integrable quantum field theories was introduced in the early 90s. Since then it has been known that the thermodynamic Bethe ansatz equations can be recast in the form of $Y$-systems. These $Y$-systems have a number of interesting properties, notably in the high-temperature limit their solutions are constants from which the central charge of the ultraviolet fixed point can be obtained and they are typically periodic functions, with period proportional to the dimension of the perturbing field. In this letter we discuss the derivation of $Y…
An exact solution of the model of fully packed loops of two colors on a square lattice has recently been proposed by Dei Cont and Nienhuis using the coordinate Bethe Ansatz approach. We point out here a simpler alternative, in which the transfer matrix is directly identified as a product of R-matrices; this allows to apply the (nested) algebraic Bethe Ansatz, which leads to the same Bethe equations. We comment on some of the applications of this result.
An ASEP with two species of particles and different hopping rates is considered on a ring. Its integrability is proved and the Nested Algebraic Bethe Ansatz is used to derive the Bethe Equations for states with arbitrary numbers of particles of each type, generalizing the results of Derrida and Evans. We present also formulas for the total velocity of particles of a given type and their limit for large size of the system and finite densities of the particles.
The past few years have witnessed the development of a comprehensive theory to describe integrable systems out of equilibrium, in which the Bethe ansatz formalism has been tailored to address specific problems arising in this context. While most of the work initially focused on the study of prototypical models such as the well-known Heisenberg chain, many theoretical results have been recently extended to a class of more complicated $\it{nested}$ integrable systems, displaying different species of quasiparticles. Still, in the simplest context of quantum quenches, the vast majority of theoreti…
By combining classical Monte Carlo and Bethe ansatz techniques we devise a numerical method to construct the Truncated Generalized Gibbs Ensemble (TGGE) for the spin-1/2 isotropic Heisenberg ($XXX$) chain. The key idea is to sample the Hilbert space of the model with the appropriate GGE probability measure. The method can be extended to other integrable systems, such as the Lieb-Liniger model. We benchmark the approach focusing on GGE expectation values of several local observables. As finite-size effects decay exponentially with system size, moderately large chains are sufficient to extract t…
In this paper we apply the nested algebraic Bethe ansatz to compute the eigenvalues and the Bethe equations of the transfer matrix of the new integrable Lindbladian found in [1]. We show that it can be written as an integrable spin chain consisting of two interacting XXZ spin chains. We numerically compute the Liouville gap and its dependence on the parameters in the system such as scaling with the system length and interaction strength.
We consider quantum integrable models solvable by the nested algebraic Bethe ansatz and possessing $\mathfrak{gl}_3$-invariant $R$-matrix. We study a new recently proposed approach to construct on-shell Bethe vectors of these models. We prove that the vectors constructed by this method are semi-on-shell Bethe vectors for arbitrary values of Bethe parameters. They thus do become on-shell vectors provided the system of Bethe equations is fulfilled.
We construct the Drinfeld twists (factorizing $F$-matrices) for the supersymmetric t-J model. Working in the basis provided by the $F$-matrix (i.e. the so-called $F$-basis), we obtain completely symmetric representations of the monodromy matrix and the pseudo-particle creation operators of the model. These enable us to resolve the hierarchy of the nested Bethe vectors for the $gl(2|1)$ invariant t-J model.
Integrable models provide an exact description for a wide variety of physical phenomena. For example nested integrable systems contain different species of interacting particles with a rich phenomenology in their collective behavior, which is the origin of the unconventional phenomenon of spin-charge separation. So far, however, most of the theoretical work in the study of non-equilibrium dynamics of integrable systems has been focusing on models with an elementary (i.e., not nested) Bethe ansatz. In this work we explicitly investigate quantum quenches in nested integrable systems, by generali…
By combining the algebraic Bethe ansatz and the off-diagonal Bethe ansatz, we investigate the trigonometric SU(3) model with generic open boundaries. The eigenvalues of the transfer matrix are given in terms of an inhomogeneous T-Q relation, and the corresponding eigenstates are expressed in terms of nested Bethe-type eigenstates which have well-defined homogeneous limit. This exact solution provides a basis for further analyzing the thermodynamic properties and correlation functions of the anisotropic models associated with higher rank algebras.
We investigate the exact overlaps between eigenstates of integrable spin chains and a special class of states called "integrable initial/final states". These states satisfy a special integrability constraint, and they are closely related to integrable boundary conditions. We derive new algebraic relations for the integrable states, which lead to a set of recursion relations for the exact overlaps. We solve these recursion relations and thus we derive new overlap formulas, valid in the XXX Heisenberg chain and its integrable higher spin generalizations. Afterwards we generalize the integrabilit…
The nested off-diagonal Bethe ansatz is generalized to study the quantum spin chain associated with the $SU_q(3)$ R-matrix and generic integrable non-diagonal boundary conditions. By using the fusion technique, certain closed operator identities among the fused transfer matrices at the inhomogeneous points are derived. The corresponding asymptotic behaviors of the transfer matrices and their values at some special points are given in detail. Based on the functional analysis, a nested inhomogeneous T-Q relations and Bethe ansatz equations of the system are obtained. These results can be natural…
We consider quantum quenches in the integrable $SU(3)$-invariant spin chain (Lai-Sutherland model) which admits a Bethe ansatz description in terms of two different quasiparticle species, providing a prototypical example of a model solvable by nested Bethe ansatz. We identify infinite families of integrable initial states for which analytic results can be obtained. We show that they include special families of two-site product states which can be related to integrable ``soliton non-preserving'' boundary conditions in an appropriate rotated channel. We present a complete analytical result for t…
We present a study of the two species totally asymmetric diffusion model using the Bethe ansatz. The Hamiltonian has $U_q(SU(3))$ symmetry. We derive the nested Bethe ansatz equations and obtain the dynamical critical exponent from the finite-size scaling properties of the eigenvalue with the smallest real part. The dynamical critical exponent is 3/2 which is the exponent corresponding to KPZ growth in the single species asymmetric diffusion model.
The Bariev model with open boundary conditions is introduced and analysed in detail in the framework of the Quantum Inverse Scattering Method. Two classes of independent boundary reflecting $K$-matrices leading to four different types of boundary fields are obtained by solving the reflection equations. The models are exactly solved by means of the algebraic nested Bethe ansatz method and the four sets of Bethe ansatz equations as well as their corresponding energy expressions are derived.
Box-ball system (BBS) is a prominent example of integrable cellular automata in one dimension connected to quantum groups, Bethe ansatz, ultradiscretization, tropical geometry and so forth. In this paper we study the generalized Gibbs ensemble of BBS soliton gas by thermodynamic Bethe ansatz and generalized hydrodynamics. The results include the solution to the speed equation for solitons, an intriguing connection of the effective speed with the period matrix of the tropical Riemann theta function, an explicit description of the density plateaux that emerge from domain wall initial conditions …
We consider expectation values of local operators in (continuum) integrable models in a situation when the mean value is calculated in a single Bethe state with a large number of particles. We develop a form factor expansion for the thermodynamic limit of the mean value, which applies whenever the distribution of Bethe roots is given by smooth density functions. We present three applications of our general result: i) In the framework of integrable Quantum Field Theory (IQFT) we present a derivation of the LeClair-Mussardo formula for finite temperature one-point functions. We also extend the r…

The Bethe ansatz solution of periodic TASEP is formulated in terms of a ramified covering from a Riemann surface to the sphere. The joint probability distribution of height fluctuations at $n$ distinct times has in particular a relatively simple expression as a function of $n$ variables on the Riemann surface built from exponentials of Abelian integrals, traced over the ramified covering and integrated on $n$ nested contours in the complex plane.
Using the algebraic Bethe ansatz, we derive a matrix product representation of the exact Bethe-ansatz states of the six-vertex Heisenberg chain (either XXX or XXZ and spin-$\frac{1}{2}$) with open boundary conditions. In this representation, the components of the Bethe eigenstates are expressed as traces of products of matrices which act on a tensor product of auxiliary spaces. As compared to the matrix product states of the same Heisenberg chain but with periodic boundary conditions, the dimension of the exact auxiliary matrices is enlarged as if the conserved number of spin-flips considered …
We study the (dual) folded spin-1/2 XXZ model in the thermodynamic limit. We focus, in particular, on a class of local macrostates that includes Gibbs ensembles. We develop a thermodynamic Bethe Ansatz description and work out generalised hydrodynamics at the leading order. Remarkably, in the ballistic scaling limit the junction of two local macrostates results in a discontinuity in the profile of essentially any local observable.
