In many shell model interactions, the tensor force monopole matrix elements often retain systematic trends originating in the bare tensor force. In this work, however, we note for GX-interactions of \textit{pf}-shell that the seven out of ten T = 1 tensor force monopole matrix elements do not share these systematic. We ameliorate this disparity making use of Yukawa-type tensor force and spin-tensor decomposition. Furthermore, we modify the single-particle energy of $1p_{3/2}$ orbit and two TBMEs of $0f$-orbit,and test the revised interaction from Ca to Ge isotopes with various physics viewpoints. The results are found to be satisfactory with respect to the experimental data.
In many shell model interactions, the tensor force monopole matrix elements often retain systematic trends originating in the bare tensor force. However, in the present work, we find that Isospin T = 0 tensor force monopole matrix elements of \textit{p}-shell effective interaction CK(8-16) do not share these systematic. We correct these discrepancies by modifying T = 0 tensor force two-body matrix elements (TBMEs) of CK(8-16) by the analytically calculated tensor force TBMEs. With some additional modification of single-particle energies and TBMEs, the revised effective interaction is named as …
The properties of $T=1/2$ mirror nuclei in the $fp$ shell have been studied with a microscopic residual interaction. The isospin-nonconserving interaction is derived from a high-precision charge-dependent Bonn \textit{NN} potential using the folded-diagram renormalization method. The level structures of the nuclei are calculated, obtaining excellent agreements with experimental observations till the $0f_{7/2}$ band termination. The role played by isospin symmetry breaking on ground-state displacement energies and mirror energy differences is discussed, which may help to explain the long-standi…
Based on the realistic nuclear force of the high-precision CD-Bonn potential, we have performed comprehensive calculations for neutron-rich calcium isotopes using the Gamow shell model (GSM) which includes resonance and continuum. The realistic GSM calculations produce well binding energies, one- and two-neutron separation energies, predicting that $^{57}$Ca is the heaviest bound odd isotope and $^{70}$Ca is the dripline nucleus. Resonant states are predicted, which provides useful information for future experiments on particle emissions in neutron-rich calcium isotopes. Shell evolutions in th…
The spectral and statistical properties of nuclei $^{46}$V and $^{48}$Cr are studied in the framework of nuclear shell model. A microscopical effective Hamiltonian derived from the CD-Bonn \textit{NN} potential is employed. The calculations are preliminary results of a newly developed parallel shell-model code. Calculations with the realistic \textit{NN} interaction reproduce well the ground-state rotational band and backbending phenomenon in $^{48}$Cr. A sudden alignment of all particles is seen above the backbend. The nearest-neighbour spacing distribution in $^{46}$V is presented and compar…
In this work, we systematically study the $α$ decay preformation factors $P_α$ and $α$ decay half-lives of 152 nuclei around $Z$ = 82, $N$ = 126 closed shells based on a generalized liquid drop model while $P_α$ is extracted from the ratio of the calculated $α$ decay half-life to the experimental one. The results show that there is an obvious linear relationship between $P_α$ and the product of valance protons (holes) $N_p$ and valance neutrons (holes) $N_n$. At the same time, we extract the $$P_α$ values of even-even nuclei around $\emph{Z}$ = 82, $\emph{N}$ = 126 closed shells from the work …
We report a comprehensive study of $^{10-14}$B isotopes within the \textit{ab-initio} no-core shell model (NCSM) using realistic nucleon-nucleon (\textit{NN}) interactions. In particular, we have applied the inside non-local outside Yukawa (INOY) interaction to study energy spectra, electromagnetic properties and point-proton radii of the boron isotopes. The NCSM results with the charge-dependent Bonn 2000 (CDB2K), the chiral next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order (N$^3$LO) and optimized next-to-next-to-leading order (N$^2$LO$_{opt}$) interactions are also reported. We have reached basis sizes …
The $A=4$ nuclei, i.e., $^4$H, $^4$He and $^4$Li, establish an interesting isospin $T=1$ isobaric system. $^4$H and $^4$Li are unbound broad resonances, whereas $^4$He is deeply bound in its ground state but unbound in all its excited states. The present situation is that experiments so far have not given consistent data on the resonances. Few-body calculations have well studied the scatterings of the $4N$ systems. In the present work, we provide many-body calculations of the broad resonance structures, in an \textit{ab initio} framework with modern realistic interactions. It occurs that, inde…

We perform \textit{ab initio} no-core shell-model calculations for $A=18$ and $19$ nuclei in a $4\hbarΩ$, or $N_{\rm max}=4$, model space by using the effective JISP16 and chiral N3LO nucleon-nucleon potentials and transform the many-body effective Hamiltonians into the $0\hbarΩ$ model space to construct the $A$-body effective Hamiltonians in the $sd$-shell. We separate the $A$-body effective Hamiltonians with $A=18$ and $A=19$ into inert core, one-, and two-body components. Then, we use these core, one-, and two-body components to perform standard shell-model calculations for the $A=18$ and $…
The no-core shell model and the effective interaction $V_{{\rm low} k}$ can both be derived using the Lee-Suzuki projection operator formalism. The main difference between the two is the choice of basis states that define the model space. The effective interaction $V_{{\rm low} k}$ can also be derived using the renormalization group. That renormalization group derivation can be extended in a straight forward manner to also include the no-core shell model. In the nuclear matter limit the no-core shell model effective interaction in the two-body approximation reduces identically to $V_{{\rm low}…
No-Core Gamow Shell Model (NCGSM) is applied for the first time to study selected well-bound and unbound states of helium isotopes. This model is formulated on the complex energy plane and, by using a complete Berggren ensemble, treats bound, resonant, and scattering states on equal footing. We use the Density Matrix Renormalization Group method to solve the many-body Schrödinger equation. To test the validity of our approach, we benchmarked the NCGSM results against Faddeev and Faddeev-Yakubovsky exact calculations for $^3$H and $^4$He nuclei. We also performed {\textit ab initio} NCGSM calcu…
We implement the ab initio no-core shell model approach to study neutron-rich $^{18}$C, $^{19}$C and $^{20}$C isotopes. For this purpose, we employ charge-dependent Bonn 2000 (CDB2K), inside non-local outside Yukawa (INOY) and chiral next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order (N$^{3}$LO) nucleon-nucleon interactions. Low-lying energy spectra, electromagnetic properties and point-proton radii for these nuclei up to basis space $N_{\rm max}$ = 4 are calculated. Binding energies obtained with INOY interaction are in better agreement with the experimental values as compared to other \textit{ab initio} …
In present work, the unfavored $\mathcalα$ decay half-lives and $\mathcalα$ preformation probabilities of closed shell nuclei related to ground and isomeric states around $Z=82$, $N=82$ and 126 shell closures are investigated by adopting two-potential approach from the perspective of valence nucleon (hole) and isospin asymmetry of the parent nucleus. The results indicate that $\mathcalα$ preformation probability is linear dependence on $N_p N_n$ or $N_p N_n I$, the same as the case of favored $\mathcalα$ decay in our previous work [X.-D. Sun \textit{et al.}, Phys. Rev. C 94, 024338 (2016)]. $N…
In the present work, we systematically study the $\mathcalα$ decay preformation factors $P_α$ within the cluster-formation model and $\mathcalα$ decay half-lives by the proximity potential 1977 formalism for nuclei around $Z=82$, $N=126$ closed shells. The calculations show that the realistic $P_α$ is linearly dependent on the product of valance protons (holes) and valance neutrons (holes) $N_pN_n$. It is consistent with our previous works [X.-D. Sun \textit{et al.}, \href{https://journals.aps.org/prc/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevC.94.024338}{ Phys. Rev. C 94, 024338 (2016)}, J.-G. Deng \textit{et …

We present a systematic study of the $^{10-14}\text{C}$ isotopes within the \textit{ab initio} no-core shell model theory. We apply four different realistic nucleon-nucleon (NN) interactions: (i) the charge-dependent Bonn 2000 (CDB2K) potential (ii) the inside non-local outside Yukawa (INOY) potential (iii) the next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order (N$^3$LO) potential, and (iv) the optimized next-to-next-to-leading order (N$^2$LO$_{opt}$) potential. We report the low-lying energy spectra of both positive and negative parity states for the $^{10-14}\text{C}$ isotopes and investigate the level s…
