In this paper, we provide some topological criteria for the Poisson Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence for $A$ in terms of the poset $({\rm P. spec A}, \subseteq)$ and the symplectic leaf or core stratification on its maximal spectrum. In particular, we prove that the Zariski topology of the Poisson prime spectrum and of each symplectic leaf or core can detect the Poisson Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence for any complex affine Poisson algebra. Moreover, we generalize the weaker version of the Poisson Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence for a complex affine Poisson algebra proved in [J. Bell, S. Launois, O.L. Sánchez, and B. Moosa, Poisson algebras via model theory and differential algebraic geometry, J. Eur. Math. Soc. (JEMS), 19(2017), no. 7, 2019-2049] to the general context of a commutative differential algebra.
We prove that the Poisson version of the Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence holds for cocommutative affine Poisson-Hopf algebras. This is a first step towards understanding the symplectic foliation and the representation theory of (cocommutative) affine Poisson-Hopf algebras. Our proof makes substantial use of the model theory of fields equipped with finitely many possibly noncommuting derivations. As an application, we show that the symmetric algebra of a finite dimensional Lie algebra, equipped with its natural Poisson structure, satisfies the Poisson Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence.
Let $k$ be a field and let $R$ be a left noetherian $k$-algebra. The algebra $R$ satisfies the Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence if the annihilators of irreducible representations are precisely those prime ideals that are locally closed in the ${\rm Spec}(R)$ and if, moreover, these prime ideals are precisely those whose extended centres are algebraic extensions of the base field. We show that if $R$ and $S$ are two left noetherian $k$-algebras with ${\rm dim}_k(R), {\rm dim}_k(S)<|k|$ then if $R$ and $S$ have homeomorphic spectra then $R$ satisfies the Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence if and only if $S$…
A differential-algebraic geometric analogue of the Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence is articulated, and proven to hold for $D$-groups over the constants. The model theory of differentially closed fields of characteristic zero, in particular the notion of analysability in the constants, plays a central role. As an application it is shown that if $R$ is a commutative affine Hopf algebra over a field of characteristic zero, and $A$ is an Ore extension to which the Hopf algebra structure extends, then $A$ satisfies the classical Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence. Along the way it is shown that all such $A$ a…
An algebra $A$ satisfies the Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence if we have the equivalences: $$P~{\rm primitive}\iff P~{\rm rational}\iff P ~{\rm locally~closed~}\qquad~{\rm for}~P\in {\rm Spec}(A).$$ We study the robustness of the Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence under extension of scalars and under the formation of Ore extensions. In particular, we show that the Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence is preserved under base change for finitely generated complex noetherian algebras. We also study Ore extensions of finitely generated complex noetherian algebras $A$. If $T:A\to A$ is either a $\mathbb{C}$-algebra aut…
We consider Ore extensions of the form $T:=R[x;σ,δ]$ with $R$ a commutative integral domain that is finitely generated over a field $k$. We show that if $T$ has Gelfand-Kirillov dimension less than four then a prime ideal $P\in {\rm Spec}(T)$ is primitive if and only if $\{P\}$ is locally closed in ${\rm Spec}(T)$, if and only if the Goldie ring of quotients of $T/P$ has centre that is an algebraic extension of $k$. We also show that there are examples for which these equivalences do not all hold for $T$ of integer Gelfand-Kirillov dimension greater than or equal to $4$.
The affinoid envelope, $\widehat{U(\mathcal{L})}$ of a free, finitely generated $\mathbb{Z}_p$-Lie algebra $\mathcal{L}$ has proven to be useful within the representation theory of compact $p$-adic Lie groups. Our aim is to further understand the algebraic structure of $\widehat{U(\mathcal{L})}$, and to this end, we will define a Dixmier module over $\widehat{U(\mathcal{L})}$, and prove that this object is generally irreducible in case where $\mathcal{L}$ is nilpotent. Ultimately, we will prove that all primitive ideals in the affinoid envelope can be described in terms of the annihilators of …
Dixmier and Moeglin gave an algebraic condition and a topological condition for recognising the primitive ideals among the prime ideals of the universal enveloping algebra of a finite-dimensional complex Lie algebra; they showed that the primitive, rational, and locally closed ideals coincide. In modern terminology, they showed that the universal enveloping algebra of a finite-dimensional complex Lie algebra satisfies the Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence. We define quantities which measure how "close" an arbitrary prime ideal of a noetherian algebra is to being primitive, rational, and locally clos…
Given a projective scheme $X$ over a field $k$, an automorphism $σ$ of $X$, and a $σ$-ample invertible sheaf $L$, one may form the twisted homogeneous coordinate ring $B = B(X, L, σ)$, one of the most fundamental constructions in noncommutative projective algebraic geometry. We study the primitive spectrum of $B$, as well as that of other closely related algebras such as skew and skew-Laurent extensions of commutative algebras. Over an algebraically closed, uncountable field $k$ of characteristic zero, we prove that that the primitive ideals of $B$ are characterized by the usual Dixmier-Moegli…
Let $K$ be a field, let $E$ be a finite directed graph, and let $L_K(E)$ be the Leavitt path algebra of $E$ over $K$. We show that for a prime ideal $P$ in $L_K(E)$, the following are equivalent: \begin{enumerate} \item $P$ is primitive; \item $P$ is rational; \item $P$ is locally closed in ${\rm Spec}(L_K(E))$. \end{enumerate} We show that the prime spectrum ${\rm Spec}(L_K(E))$ decomposes into a finite disjoint union of subsets, each of which is homeomorphic to ${\rm Spec}(K)$ or to ${\rm Spec}(K[x,x^{-1}])$. In the case that $K$ is infinite, we show that $L_K(E)$ has a rational $K^{\times}$…
The structure of Poisson polynomial algebras of the type obtained as semiclassical limits of quantized coordinate rings is investigated. Sufficient conditions for a rational Poisson action of a torus on such an algebra to leave only finitely many Poisson prime ideals invariant are obtained. Combined with previous work of the first-named author, this establishes the Poisson Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence for large classes of Poisson polynomial rings, such as semiclassical limits of quantum matrices, quantum symplectic and euclidean spaces, quantum symmetric and antisymmetric matrices. For a simila…
A significant class of Poisson brackets on the polynomial algebra $\C[x_1,x_2,..., x_n]$ is studied and, for this class of Poisson brackets, the Poisson prime ideals and Poisson primitive ideals are determined. Moreover it is established that these Poisson algebras satisfy the Poisson Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence.
Brown and Gordon asked whether the Poisson Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence holds for any complex affine Poisson algebra; that is, whether the sets of Poisson rational ideals, Poisson primitive ideals, and Poisson locally closed ideals coincide. In this article a complete answer is given to this question using techniques from differential-algebraic geometry and model theory. In particular, it is shown that while the sets of Poisson rational and Poisson primitive ideals do coincide, in every Krull dimension at least four there are complex affine Poisson algebras with Poisson rational ideals that are…
We consider a skew-symmetric $n$-ary bracket on the polynomial algebra $K[x_1,\ldots,x_n,x_{n+1}]$ ($n\geq 2$) over a field $K$ of characteristic zero defined by $\{a_1,\ldots,a_n\}=J(a_1,\ldots,a_n,C)$, where $C$ is a fixed element of $K[x_1,\ldots,x_n,x_{n+1}]$ and $J$ is the Jacobian. If $n=2$ then this bracket is a Poisson bracket and if $n\geq 3$ then it is an $n$-Lie-Poisson bracket on $K[x_1,\ldots,x_n,x_{n+1}]$. We describe the center of the corresponding $n$-Lie-Poisson algebra and show that the quotient algebra $K[x_1,\ldots,x_n,x_{n+1}]/(C-λ)$, where $(C-λ)$ is the ideal generated b…
A Poisson algebra $\Bbb C[G]$ considered as a Poisson version of the twisted quantized coordinate ring $\Bbb C_{q,p}[G]$, constructed by Hodges, Levasseur and Toro in \cite{HoLeT}, is obtained and its Poisson structure is investigated. This establishes that all Poisson prime and primitive ideals of $\Bbb C[G]$ are characterized. Further it is shown that $\Bbb C[G]$ satisfies the Poisson Dixmier-Moeglin equivalence and that Zariski topology on the space of Poisson primitive ideals of $\Bbb C[G]$ agrees with the quotient topology induced by the natural surjection from the maximal ideal space of …
Thanks to recent results on ring homomorphisms of Azumaya algebras and to the following ones about endomorphisms of canonical Poisson algebras and Dirac quantum algebras, and about the reformulation in positive characteristic of these conjectures in characteristic zero, we prove the equivalence of these three conjectures in any characteristic, giving also by this way a new proof of the equivalence of the complex version of the two first conjectures recently proved by Y. Tsuchimoto.
The Hopf algebra $\mathcal{D}$ which is the subject of this paper can be viewed as a Drinfeld double of the bosonisation of the Jordan plane. Its prime and primitive spectra are completely determined. As a corollary of this analysis it is shown that $\mathcal{D}$ satisfies the Dixmier-Moeglin Equivalence, leading to the formulation of a conjecture on the validity of this equivalence for pointed Noetherian Hopf algebras.
The Dixmier-Moeglin Equivalence (for short, the DM-equivalence) is the equivalence of three distinguishing properties of prime ideals in a non-commutative algebra A. These properties are of (i) being primitive, (ii) being rational, and (iii) being locally closed in the Zariski topology of Spec(A). The DM-equivalence holds in many interesting algebras over a field. Recently, it was shown that the prime ideals of a Leavitt path algebra of a finite graph satisfy the DM-equivalence, In this note, we investigate the occurrence of the DM-equivalence in a Leavitt path algebra L of an arbitrary direct…
If $\mathfrak{g}$ is a Lie algebra then the semi-centre of the Poisson algebra $S(\mathfrak{g})$ is the subalgebra generated by ad$(\mathfrak{g})$-eigenvectors. In this paper we abstract this definition to the context of integral Poisson algebras. We identify necessary and sufficient conditions for the Poisson semi-centre $A^{\operatorname{sc}}$ to be a Poisson algebra graded by its weight spaces. In that situation we show the Poisson semi-centre exhibits many nice properties: the rational Casimirs are quotients of Poisson normal elements and the Poisson Dixmier-Mœglin equivalence holds for th…
Let $P(\mathrm{sl}_2(K))$ be the Poisson enveloping algebra of the Lie algebra $\mathrm{sl}_2(K)$ over an algebraically closed field $K$ of characteristic zero. The quotient algebras $ $ $P(\mathrm{sl}_2(K))/(C_P-λ)$, where $C_P$ is the standard Casimir element of $\mathrm{sl}_2(K)$ in $P(\mathrm{sl}_2(K))$ and $0\neq λ\in K$, are proven to be simple in \cite{UZh}. Using a result by L. Makar-Limanov \cite{ML90}, we describe generators of the automorphism group of $P(\mathrm{sl}_2(K))/(C_P-λ)$ and represent this group as an amalgamated product of its subgroups. Moreover, using similar results b…
In [5] Cauchon introduced the so-called deleting derivations algorithm. This algorithm was first used in noncommutative algebra to prove catenarity in generic quantum matrices, and then to show that torus-invariant primes in these algebras are generated by quantum minors. Since then this algorithm has been used in various contexts. In particular, the matrix version makes a bridge between torus-invariant primes in generic quantum matrices, torus-orbits of symplectic leaves in matrix Poisson varieties and totally nonnegative cells in totally nonnegative matrix varieties [12]. This led to recent …
A polynomial endomorphism $σ\in {\rm End}_K(P_n)$ is called a Jacobian map if its Jacobian is a nonzero scalar (the field has zero characteristic). Each Jacobian map $σ$ is extended to an endomorphism $σ$ of the Weyl algebra $A_n$. The Jacobian Conjecture (JC) says that every Jacobian map is an automorphism. Clearly, the Jacobian Conjecture is true iff the twisted (by $σ$) $P_n$-module ${}^σ P_n$ is 1-generated for all Jacobian maps $σ$. It is shown that the $A_n$-module ${}^σ P_n$ is 1-generated for all Jacobian maps $σ$. Furthermore, the $A_n$-module ${}^σ P_n$ is holonomic and as a result h…
A version of Kirillov's orbit method states that the primitive spectrum of a generic quantisation $A$ of a Poisson algebra $Z$ should correspond bijectively to the symplectic leaves of $\operatorname{Spec}(Z)$. In this article we consider a Poisson order $A$ over a complex affine Poisson algebra $Z$. We stratify the primitive spectrum $\operatorname{Prim}(A)$ into symplectic cores, which should be thought of as families of non-commutative symplectic leaves. We then introduce a category $A$-$\mathcal{P}$-Mod of $A$-modules adapted to the Poisson structure on $Z$, and we show that when $\operato…
We study Jacobi pairs in details and obtained some properties. We also study the natural Poisson algebra structure $(\PP,[...,...],...)$ on the space $\PP:=\C[y]((x^{-\frac1N}))$ for some sufficient large $N$, and introduce some automorphisms of $(\PP,[...,...],...)$ which are (possibly infinite but well-defined) products of the automorphisms of forms $e^{\ad_H}$ for $H\in x^{1-\frac1N}\C[y][[x^{-\frac1N}]]$ and $τ_c:(x,y)\mapsto(x,y-cx^{-1})$ for some $c\in\C$. These automorphisms are used as tools to study Jacobi pairs in $\PP$. In particular, starting from a Jacobi pair $(F,G)$ in $\C[x,y]$…
