The elliptic algebras in the title are connected graded $\mathbb{C}$-algebras, denoted $Q_{n,k}(E,τ)$, depending on a pair of relatively prime integers $n>k\ge 1$, an elliptic curve $E$, and a point $τ\in E$. This paper examines a canonical homomorphism from $Q_{n,k}(E,τ)$ to the twisted homogeneous coordinate ring $B(X_{n/k},σ',\mathcal{L}'_{n/k})$ on the characteristic variety $X_{n/k}$ for $Q_{n,k}(E,τ)$. When $X_{n/k}$ is isomorphic to $E^g$ or the symmetric power $S^gE$ we show the homomorphism $Q_{n,k}(E,τ) \to B(X_{n/k},σ',\mathcal{L}'_{n/k})$ is surjective, that the relations for $B(X_{n/k},σ',\mathcal{L}'_{n/k})$ are generated in degrees $\le 3$, and the non-commutative scheme $\mathrm{Proj}_{nc}(Q_{n,k}(E,τ))$ has a closed subvariety that is isomorphic to $E^g$ or $S^gE$, respectively. When $X_{n/k}=E^g$ and $τ=0$, the results about $B(X_{n/k},σ',\mathcal{L}'_{n/k})$ show that the morphism $Φ_{|\mathcal{L}_{n/k}|}:E^g \to \mathbb{P}^{n-1}$ embeds $E^g$ as a projectively normal subvariety that is a scheme-theoretic intersection of quadric and cubic hypersurfaces.
We study the elliptic algebras $Q_{n,k}(E,τ)$ introduced by Feigin and Odesskii as a generalization of Sklyanin algebras. They form a family of quadratic algebras parametrized by coprime integers $n>k\geq 1$, an elliptic curve $E$, and a point $τ\in E$. We consider and compare several different definitions of the algebras and provide proofs of various statements about them made by Feigin and Odesskii. For example, we show that $Q_{n,k}(E,0)$, and $Q_{n,n-1}(E,τ)$ are polynomial rings on $n$ variables. We also show that $Q_{n,k}(E,τ+ζ)$ is a twist of $Q_{n,k}(E,τ)$ when $ζ$ is an $n$-torsion po…
We prove that several Feigin-Odesskii Poisson brackets associated with normal elliptic curves in ${\mathbb P}^n$ are compatible if and only if they are contained in a scroll or in a Veronese surface in ${\mathbb P}^5$ (with an exception of one case when $n=3$). In the case $n=3$ we determine the quartic corresponding to the Schouten bracket of two (non-compatible) Poisson brackets associated with normal elliptic curves $E_1$ and $E_2$.
The algebras $Q_{n,k}(E,τ)$ introduced by Feigin and Odesskii as generalizations of the 4-dimensional Sklyanin algebras form a family of quadratic algebras parametrized by coprime integers $n>k\ge 1$, a complex elliptic curve $E$, and a point $τ\in E$. The main result in this paper is that $Q_{n,k}(E,τ)$ has the same Hilbert series as the polynomial ring on $n$ variables when $τ$ is not a torsion point. We also show that $Q_{n,k}(E,τ)$ is a Koszul algebra, hence of global dimension $n$ when $τ$ is not a torsion point, and, for all but countably many $τ$, it is Artin-Schelter regular. The proof…
We identify Feigin-Odesskii brackets $q_{n,1}(C)$, associated with a normal elliptic curve of degree $n$, $C\subset {\mathbb P}^{n-1}$, with the skew-symmetric $n\times n$ matrix of quadratic forms introduced by Fisher in arXiv:1510.04327 in connection with some minimal free resolutions related to the secant varieties of $C$. On the other hand, we show that for odd $n$, the generators of the ideal of the secant variety of $C$ of codimension $3$ give a Cremona transformation of ${\mathbb P}^{n-1}$, generalizing the quadro-cubic Cremona transformation of ${\mathbb P}^4$. We identify this transfo…
This paper examines an algebraic variety that controls an important part of the structure and representation theory of the algebra $Q_{n,k}(E,τ)$ introduced by Feigin and Odesskii. The $Q_{n,k}(E,τ)$'s are a family of quadratic algebras depending on a pair of coprime integers $n>k\ge 1$, an elliptic curve $E$, and a point $τ\in E$. It is already known that the structure and representation theory of $Q_{n,1}(E,τ)$ is controlled by the geometry associated to $E$ embedded as a degree $n$ normal curve in the projective space $\mathbb P^{n-1}$, and by the way in which the translation automorphism $…
A log symplectic manifold is a complex manifold equipped with a complex symplectic form that has simple poles on a hypersurface. The possible singularities of such a hypersurface are heavily constrained. We introduce the notion of an elliptic point of a log symplectic structure, which is a singular point at which a natural transversality condition involving the modular vector field is satisfied, and we prove a local normal form for such points that involves the simple elliptic surface singularities $\tilde{E}_6,\tilde{E}_7$ and $\tilde{E}_8$. Our main application is to the classification of Po…
Fix a pair of relatively prime integers $n>k\ge 1$, and a point $(η\,|\,τ)\in\mathbb{C}\times\mathbb{H}$, where $\mathbb{H}$ denotes the upper-half complex plane, and let ${{a\;\,b}\choose{c\,\;d}}\in\mathrm{SL}(2,\mathbb{Z})$. We show that Feigin and Odesskii's elliptic algebras $Q_{n,k}(η\,|\,τ)$ have the property $Q_{n,k}\big(\fracη{cτ+d}\,\big\vert\,\frac{aτ+b}{cτ+d}\big)\cong Q_{n,k}(η\,|\,τ)$. As a consequence, given a pair $(E,ξ)$ consisting of a complex elliptic curve $E$ and a point $ξ\in E$, one may unambiguously define $Q_{n,k}(E,ξ):=Q_{n,k}(η\,|\,τ)$ where $τ\in\mathbb{H}$ is any p…
We study different algebraic and geometric properties of Heisenberg invariant Poisson polynomial quadratic algebras. We show that these algebras are unimodular. The elliptic Sklyanin-Odesskii-Feigin Poisson algebras $q_{n,k}(\mathcal E)$ are the main important example. We classify all quadratic $H-$invariant Poisson tensors on ${\mathbb C}^n$ with $n\leq 6$ and show that for $n\leq 5$ they coincide with the elliptic Sklyanin-Odesskii-Feigin Poisson algebras or with their certain degenerations.
We study the elliptic zastava spaces, their versions (twisted, Coulomb, Mirkovic local spaces, reduced) and relations with monowalls moduli spaces and Feigin-Odesskii moduli spaces of $G$-bundles with parabolic structure on an elliptic curve.
In this paper, we prove that the quantum toroidal algebra of gl_n is isomorphic to the double shuffle algebra of Feigin and Odesskii for the cyclic quiver. The shuffle algebra viewpoint will allow us to prove a factorization formula for the universal R-matrix of the quantum toroidal algebra.
We introduce a natural nondegeneracy condition for Poisson structures, called holonomicity, which is closely related to the notion of a log symplectic form. Holonomic Poisson manifolds are privileged by the fact that their deformation spaces are as finite-dimensional as one could ever hope: the corresponding derived deformation complex is a perverse sheaf. We develop some basic structural features of these manifolds, highlighting the role played by the divergence of Hamiltonian vector fields. As an application, we establish the deformation-invariance of certain families of Poisson manifolds de…
Let X be a smooth projective curve over a finite field. We describe H, the full Hall algebra of vector bundles X as a Feigin-Odesskii shuffle algebra. This shuffle algebra corresponds to the scheme S of all cusp eigenforms and to the rational function of two variables on S coming from the Rankin-Selberg L-functions. This means that the zeroes of these L-functions control all the relations in H. The scheme S is a disjoint union of countably many G_m-orbits. In the case when X has a theta-characteristic defined over the base field, we embed H into the space of regular functions on the symmetric …
We consider two complexes. The first complex is the twisted de Rham complex of scalar meromorphic differential forms on projective line, holomorphic on the complement to a finite set of points. The second complex is the chain complex of the Lie algebra of $\mathfrak{sl}_2$-valued algebraic functions on the same complement, with coefficients in a tensor product of contragradient Verma modules over the affine Lie algebra $\hat{{\mathfrak{sl}_2}}$. In [Schechtman V., Varchenko A., Mosc. Math. J. 17 (2017), 787-802] a construction of a monomorphism of the first complex to the second was suggested …
