We explore non-canonical scalar field model in the background of non-flat $D$-dimensional fractal Universe with cosmological constant $Λ$ on the condition that the matter and scalar field are separately conserved. The potential $V$, scalar field $ϕ$, function $f$, densities, Hubble parameter and deceleration parameter can be expressed in terms of the redshift $z$ and these depend on the equation of state parameter $w_ϕ$. We also investigate four kinds of well known parametrization models and graphically we have analyzed the natures of potential, scalar field, function $f$, densities, the Hubble parameter and deceleration parameter. As a result, the best fitted values of the unknown parameters ($w_{0},w_{1}$) of the parametrizations models due to the joint data analysis (SNIa+BAO+CMB+Hubble) are found. Furthermore, the minimum values of $χ^{2}$ function are obtained. Also we have plotted the graphs for different confidence levels 66\%, 90\% and 99\% contours for ($w_{0},~w_{1}$) by fixing the other parameters.
In this present work, we try to build up a cosmological model using a non-canonical scalar field within the framework of a spatially flat FRW space-time. In this context, we have considered four different parametrizations of the equation of state parameter of the non-canonical scalar field. Under this scenario, analytical solutions for various cosmological parameters have been found out. It has been found that the deceleration parameter shows a smooth transition from a positive value to some negative value which indicates that the universe was undergoing an early deceleration followed by late …
A new version of tetrad gravity in globally hyperbolic, asymptotically flat at spatial infinity spacetimes with Cauchy surfaces diffeomorphic to $R^3$ is obtained by using a new parametrization of arbitrary cotetrads to define a set of configurational variables to be used in the ADM metric action. Seven of the fourteen first class constraints have the form of the vanishing of canonical momenta. A comparison is made with other models of tetrad gravity and with the ADM canonical formalism for metric gravity.
Last years a certain attention was attracted to the statement that Hamiltonian formulations of General Relativity, in which different parametrizations of gravitational variables were used, may not be related by a canonical transformation. The example was given by the Hamiltonian formulation of Dirac and that of Arnowitt - Deser - Misner. It might witness for non-equivalence of these formulations and the original (Lagrangian) formulation of General Relativity. The problem is believed to be of importance since many authors make use of various representations of gravitational field as a starting …
We propose a new Dark Energy parametrization based on the dynamics of a scalar field. We use an equation of state w=(x-1)/(x+1), with x=E_k/V, the ratio of kinetic energy E_k=\dotphi^2/2 and potential V. The equation of motion gives x=(L/6)(V/3H^2) and has a solution x=([(1+y)^2+2 L/3]^{1/2}-(1+y))/2 where y\equiv \rmm/V and L= (V'/V)^2 (1+q)^2, q=\ddotphi/V'. The resulting EoS is w=[6+ L- 6 \sqrt((1+y)^2+2L/3)]/(L+6y). Since the universe is accelerating at present time we use the slow roll approximation in which case we have |q|<< 1 and L\simeq (V'/V)^2. However, the derivation of w is exact …
We study scaling and renormalization in two dimensional quantum gravity in a covariant framework. After reviewing the definition of a proper path integral measure, we use scaling arguments to rederive the KPZ relations, the fractal dimension of the theory and the scaling of the reparametrization-invariant two point function. Then we compute the scaling exponents entering in this relations by means of the functional RG. We show that a key ingredient to obtain the correct results already known from Liouville theory is the use of the exponential parametrization for metric fluctuations. We also sh…
We show that a canonical scalar field with a phenomenological form of energy density or equivalently an equation of state parameter can provide the required transition from decelerated ($q>0$) to accelerated expansion ($q<0$) phase of the universe. We have used the latest Type Ia Supernova (SNIa) and Hubble parameter datasets to constrain the model parameters. It has been found that for each of these dataset, the transition in deceleration parameter $q$ takes place at the recent past ($z<1$). The future evolution of $q$ is also discussed in the context of the model under consideration. Further…
The reconstruction of a (non)canonical scalar field Lagrangian from the dark energy Equation of State (EoS) parameter is studied, where it is shown that any EoS parametrization can be well reconstructed in terms of scalar fields. Several examples of EoS parameters are studied and the particular scalar field Lagrangian is reconstructed. Then, we propose some new parametrizations that may present a (fast) transition to a phantom dark energy EoS (where $w_{DE}<-1$) and the scalar field Lagrangian is also reconstructed numerically. Furthermore, the properties of these parametrizations of the dark …
Fractal structures are observed in the universe in two very different ways. Firstly, in the gas forming the cold interstellar medium in scales from 10^{-4} pc till 100 pc. Secondly, the galaxy distribution has been observed to be fractal in scales up to hundreds of Mpc. We give here a short review of the statistical mechanical (and field theoretical) approach developed by us. We consider a non-relativistic self-gravitating gas in thermal equilibrium at temperature T inside a volume V. The statistical mechanics of such system has special features and, as is known, the thermodynamical limit does…
We extend our investigation of the IR effects on the local dynamics of matter fields in quantum gravity. Specifically we clarify how the IR effects depend on the change of the quantization scheme: different parametrization of the metric and the matter field redefinition. Conformal invariance implies effective Lorentz invariance of the matter system in de Sitter space. An arbitrary choice of the parametrization of the metric and the matter field redefinition does not preserve the effective Lorentz invariance of the local dynamics. As for the effect of different parametrization of the metric alo…
By using the York canonical basis of ADM tetrad gravity, in a formulation using radar 4-coordinates for the parametrization of the 3+1 splitting of the space-time, it is possible to write the 4-Riemann tensor of a globally hyperbolic, asymptotically Minkowskian space-time as a Hamiltonian tensor, whose components are 4-scalars with respect to the ordinary world 4-coordinates, plus terms vanishing due to Einstein's equations. Therefore "on-shell" we find the expression of the Hamiltonian 4-Riemann tensor. Moreover, the 3+1 splitting of the space-time used to define the phase space allows us to …
Parametrization of holonomy-flux phase space in the Hamiltonian formulation of $SO(N)$ gauge field theory with $SO(D+1)$ loop quantum gravity as an exemplification
We propose a new Dark Energy parametrization based on the dynamics of a scalar field. We use an equation of state $w=(x-1)/(x+1)$, with $x=E_k/V$, the ratio of kinetic energy $E_k=\dotϕ^2/2$ and potential $V$. The eq. of motion gives $x=(L/6)(V/3H^2)$ and with a solution $x=([1+2 L/3(1+y)]^{1/2}-1)(1+y)/2$ where $y\equiv \rm/V$ and $L\equiv (V'/V)^2 (1+q)^2,\, q\equiv\ddot\p/V'$. Since the universe is accelerating at present time we use the slow roll approximation in which case we have $|q|\ll 1$ and $L\simeq (V'/V)^2$. However, the derivation of $L$ is exact and has no approximation. By choos…
In this work we present a new scheme to study the tachyon dark energy model using dynamical systems analysis by considering parametrization of the equation of state(EoS) of the dark energy. Both the canonical and phantom field dynamics are investigated. In our method we do not require any explicit form of the tachyon potential. Instead of the potential we start with an approximate form of the EoS of the tachyon field. This EoS is phenomenologically motivated and contains some dimensionless parameters. Using our method we can construct the dynamical system which gives rise to the time evolution…
We provide a complete picture of the self-gravitating non-relativistic gas at thermal equilibrium using Monte Carlo simulations (MC), analytic mean field methods (MF) and low density expansions. The system is shown to possess an infinite volume limit, both in the canonical (CE) and in the microcanonical ensemble (MCE) when N, V \to \infty, keeping N/ V^{1/3} fixed. We {\bf compute} the equation of state (we do not assume it as is customary), the entropy, the free energy, the chemical potential, the specific heats, the compressibilities, the speed of sound and analyze their properties, signs an…
A conditional symmetry is defined, in the phase-space of a quadratic in velocities constrained action, as a simultaneous conformal symmetry of the supermetric and the superpotential. It is proven that such a symmetry corresponds to a variational (Noether) symmetry. The use of these symmetries as quantum conditions on the wave-function entails a kind of selection rule. As an example, the minisuperspace model ensuing from a reduction of the Einstein - Hilbert action by considering static, spherically symmetric configurations and r as the independent dynamical variable, is canonically quantized. T…
Currently there is a variety of scalar field models to explain the late time acceleration of the Universe. This includes the standard canonical and non-canonical scalar field models together with recently proposed Galileon scalar field models. One can divide all these scalar field models into two broad categories, namely the thawing and the tracker class. In this work we investigate the evidence for these models with the presently available observational data using the Bayesian approach. We use the Generalized Chaplygin Gas (GCG) parametrization for dark energy equation of state (EoS) as it gi…
We provide a complete picture to the self-gravitating non-relativistic gas at thermal equilibrium using Monte Carlo simulations, analytic mean field methods (MF) and low density expansions. The system is shown to possess an infinite volume limit in the grand canonical (GCE), canonical (CE) and microcanonical (MCE) ensembles when (N, V) -> infty, keeping N/V^{1/3} fixed. We compute the equation of state (we do not assume it as is customary in hydrodynamics), as well as the energy, free energy, entropy, chemical potential, specific heats, compressibilities and speed of sound; we analyze their pr…
We use an effective field theory (EFT) approach to calculate the next to leading order (NLO) gravitational spin-orbit interaction between two spinning compact objects. The NLO spin-orbit interaction provides the most computationally complex sector of the NLO spin effects, previously derived within the EFT approach. In particular, it requires the inclusion of non-stationary cubic self-gravitational interaction, as well as the implementation of a spin supplementary condition (SSC) at higher orders. The EFT calculation is carried out in terms of the non-relativistic gravitational field parametriz…
We use the conditional symmetry approach to study the $r$-evolution of a minisuperspace spherically symmetric model both at the classical and quantum level. After integration of the coordinates $t$, $θ$ and $ϕ$ in the gravitational plus electromagnetic action the configuration space dependent dynamical variables turn out to correspond to the $r$-dependent metric functions and the electrostatic field. In the context of the formalism for constrained systems (Dirac - Bergmann, ADM) with respect to the radial coordinate $r$, we set up a point-like reparameterization invariant Lagrangian. It is see…
