This paper scrutinizes the dynamical QCD effects influence on mesons, namely, the mean-square root radius of a pion in the holographic light-front wave function setup, in the context of the AdS/QCD. The nuclear configurational entropy, associated to mesonic holographic light-front wave functions, is shown to have a critical point that optimizes the two parameters of the spin-improved light-front wave function. The mean-square root pion radius and its cross-section, computed upon these derived values, match the exact existing experimental data to the precision of 0.14\%, below the experimental error at the PDG.
This paper investigates the configurational entropic content of hadron-nucleus collisions. Hadron multiplicities and Au nuclei are employed to compute the critical points of the configurational entropy as a function of the saturation scale in deep inelastic scatterings, in QCD. The results match phenomenological data to the precision of 0.39%.
In this paper the nuclear configurational entropy of the energy--energy correlation function is scrutinized, in $e^+e^-$ collisions to hadrons in the back-to-back region, within the QCD perturbative theory. The critical points of the nuclear configurational entropy concept, in the hot nuclear system, is shown to correspond to the critical angle between the two scattered hadrons, corroborating with phenomenological data with great accuracy. The main tools employ the main coefficients of the soft-gluon resummation formula, taking into account logarithmically enhanced contributions up to next-to-…
In the present work the electroproduction for diffractive $ρ$ and $ϕ$ mesons by considering AdS/QCD correspondence and Color Glass Condensate (CGC) approximation are studied with respect to the associated dipole cross section, whose parameters are studied and analysed in the framework of the configurational entropy. Our results suggest different quantum states of the nuclear matter, showing that the extremal points of the nuclear configurational entropy is able to reflect a true description of the $ρ$ and $ϕ$ mesons production, using current data concerning light quark masses. During the compu…
The impact parameter (b) dependence on the saturation scale, in the framework of the Color Glass Condensate (b-CGC) dipole model, is investigated from the configurational point of view. During the calculations and analysis of the quantum nuclear states, the critical points of stability in the configurational entropy setup are computed, matching the experimental parameters that define the onset of the quantum regime in the b-CGC in the literature with very good accuracy. This new approach is crucial and important for understanding the stability of quantum systems in study of deep inelastic scat…
We study the net-baryon production at forward rapidities within the Color Glass Condensate paradigm. At high energy regime, the leading baryon production mechanism is shown to change from recombination to independent fragmentation. The nuclear configurational entropy (NCE) constructed upon forward scattering amplitudes, allows to predict the two free parameters that govern the anomalous dimension of the target gluon distribution. The global minimum of the NCE indicates a point of stability in pp/pA/AA collisions at LHC energies, corroborating and matching HERA data for hadron spectra measured …
The dipole-nucleus forward scattering amplitude rules the onset of the gluon anomalous dimension, in the Color-Glass Condensate regime. In this model, the onset of quantum regime is here derived as a critical stable point in the nuclear configurational entropy, matching the fitted experimental data in the literature with accuracy of 1%. It corroborates with the informational entropy paradigm in high energy nuclear physics.
In this work, the high energy hadron-hadron scattering is studied in the framework of holographic AdS/QCD models, using the Brower-Polchinski-Strassler-Tan Pomeron exchange kernel and gravitational form factors. We apply the configurational entropy techniques to estimate the slope of the total cross section for the total hadron-hadron cross sections at high energies. A good agreement is derived between our approach and the total cross section for combinations that include the pion-nucleon, nucleon-nucleon, and pion-pion, as well as for any high energy data with inclusion of data from the TOTEM…
Configurational information entropy (CIE) theory was employed to determine the neutron skin thickness of neutron-rich calcium isotopes. The nuclear density distributions and fragment cross-sections in 350 MeV/u $^{40-60}$Ca + $^{9}$Be projectile fragmentation reactions were calculated using a modified statistical abrasion-ablation model. CIE quantities were determined from the nuclear density, isotopic, mass, and charge distributions. The linear correlations between the CIE determined using the isotopic, mass, and charge distributions and the neutron skin thickness of the projectile nucleus sh…
The nuclear configurational entropy (NCE) is employed to derive two parameters encoding the Pomeron Regge trajectory and the spectrum of closed strings, which are also related to the glueball mass, precisely matching data of the TOTEM collaboration at the LHC. In the Regge regime of holographic QCD, the (Reggeized) glueball propagator and the gravitational form factor of the proton occupy a relevant spot in AdS/QCD. They are used for deriving the cross-sections for the TeV scale proton-proton scattering process, which are the main ingredient for computing the NCE. The nuclear configurational s…
The properties of open strange meson $K_1^\pm$ in nuclear matter are estimated in the QCD sum rule approach. We obtain a relation between the in-medium mass and width of $K_1^-$ ($K_1^+$) in nuclear matter, and show that the upper limit of the mass shift is as large as -249 (-35) MeV. The spectral modification of the $K_1$ meson is possible to be probed by using kaon beams at J-PARC. Such measurement together with that of $K^*$ will shed light on how chiral symmetry is partially restored in nuclear matter.
QCD and nuclear physics. How to explain the coincidence between the action radius of nuclear forces and the characteristic scale of the neutron-neutron electrostatic interaction?
We review the equation of state of QCD matter at finite densities. We discuss the construction of the equation of state with net baryon number, electric charge, and strangeness using the results of lattice QCD simulations and hadron resonance gas models. Its application to the hydrodynamic analyses of relativistic nuclear collisions suggests that the interplay of multiple conserved charges is important in the quantitative understanding of the dense nuclear matter created at lower beam energies. Several different models of the QCD equation of state are discussed for comparison.
A unified chiral mean field approach is presented for QCD thermodynamics in a wide range of temperatures and densities. The model simultaneously gives a satisfactory description of lattice QCD thermodynamics and fulfills nuclear matter and astrophysical constraints. The resulting equation of state can be incorporated in relativistic fluid-dynamical simulations of heavy-ion collisions and neutron stars mergers. Access to different regions of the QCD phase diagram can be obtained in simulations of heavy-ion data and observations of neutron star mergers.
Over the last decade, numerical solutions of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) using the technique of lattice QCD have developed to a point where they are beginning to connect fundamental aspects of nuclear physics to the underlying degrees of freedom of the Standard Model. In this review, the progress of lattice QCD studies of nuclear matrix elements of electroweak currents and beyond-Standard-Model operators is summarized, and connections with effective field theories and nuclear models are outlined. Lattice QCD calculations of nuclear matrix elements can provide guidance for low-energy nuclear r…
Abstract (abridged edition): Properties of the relativistic nucleon self-energy decomposition of the symmetry energy as well as the equation of state (EOS) of pure neutron matter (PNM) are explored systematically within the QCD sum rules (QCDSR). Our results in the present work have demonstrated that the QCDSR approach can be used to explore the properties of asymmetric nuclear matter (ANM) in a quantitative manner, at least in lower density region. The QCDSR approach establishes a bridge connecting the EOS of ANM and the non-perturbative QCD vacuum, and thus provides a useful way to understan…
