We report the ground state masses of hadrons containing at least one charm and one bottom quark using lattice quantum chromodynamics. These include mesons with spin (J)-parity (P) quantum numbers J(P): 0(-), 1(-), 1(+) and 0(+) and the spin-1/2 and 3/2 baryons. Among these hadrons only the ground state of 0(-) is known experimentally and therefore our predictions provide important information for the experimental discovery of all other hadrons with these quark contents.
We present ground state spectra of mesons containing a charm and a bottom quark. For the charm quark we use overlap valence quarks while a non-relativistic formulation is utilized for the bottom quark on a background of 2+1+1 flavors HISQ gauge configurations generated by the MILC collaboration. The hyperfine splitting between $1S$ states of $B_c$ mesons is found to be $56^{+4}_{-3}$ MeV. We also study the baryons containing only charm and bottom quarks and predict their ground state masses. Results are obtained at three lattice spacings.
We present preliminary results on the light, charmed and bottom baryon spectra using overlap valence quarks on the background of 2+1+1 flavours HISQ gauge configurations of the MILC collaboration. These calculations are performed on three different gauge ensembles at three lattice spacings (a ~ 0.12 fm, 0.09 fm and 0.06 fm) and for physical strange, charm and bottom quark masses. The SU(2) heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory is used to extrapolate baryon masses to the physical pion mass and the continuum limit extrapolations are also performed. Our results are consistent with the well meas…
A comprehensive review of weak decays of charmed hadrons ($D^{0/+}$, $D^+_s$ and $Λ^+_c$) based on analyses of the threshold data from $e^+e^-$ annihilation in the BESIII experiment is presented. Current experimental challenges and successes in understanding decays of the charmed hadrons are discussed. Precise calibrations of QCD and tests of the Standard Model are provided by measurements of purely leptonic and semi-leptonic decays of charmed hadrons, and lepton universality is probed in purely leptonic decays of charmed mesons to three generations of leptons. Quantum correlations in threshol…
The chiral corrections to the magnetic moments of the spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ doubly charmed baryons are systematically investigated up to next-to-next-to-leading order with heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory (HBChPT). The numerical results are calculated up to next-to-leading order: $μ_{Ξ^{++}_{cc}}=-0.25μ_{N}$, $μ_{Ξ^{+}_{cc}}=0.85μ_{N}$, $μ_{Ω^{+}_{cc}}=0.78μ_{N}$. We also calculate the magnetic moments of the other doubly heavy baryons, including the doubly bottomed baryons (bbq) and the doubly heavy baryons containing a light quark, a charm quark and a bottom quark ($\{bc\}q$ and $[bc]q$)…
We investigate the possible deuteron-like molecules composed of a pair of charmed spin-$\frac{3}{2}$ baryons, or one charmed baryon and one charmed antibaryon within the one-boson-exchange (OBE) model. For the spin singlet and triplet systems, we consider the couple channel effect between systems with different orbital angular momentum. Most of the systems have binding solutions. The couple channel effect plays a significant role in the formation of some loosely bound states. The possible molecular states of $Ω_c^*Ω_c^*$ and $Ω_c^*\barΩ_c^*$ might be stable once produced.
The magnetic moments of the vector hidden-charmed tetraquark states that have been observed and can be expected to be observed experimentally have been determined using the light-cone sum rules taking into account the diquark-antidiquark structure with the quantum numbers $ J^{PC} = 1^{--}$ and $ J^{PC} = 1^{-+}$. Since these states are considered to have different flavors of light quarks, they have nonzero magnetic moments. The results obtained in this study can be checked for consistency by various methods. The magnetic moments of hadrons encompass useful knowledge about the distribution of …
