We develop a new dynamical model for high energy heavy-ion collisions in the beam energy region of the highest net-baryon densities on the basis of non-equilibrium microscopic transport model JAM and macroscopic 3+1D hydrodynamics by utilizing a dynamical initialization method. In this model, dynamical fluidization of a system is controlled by the source terms of the hydrodynamic fields. In addition, time dependent core-corona separation of hot regions is implemented. We show that our new model describes multiplicities and mean transverse mass in heavy-ion collisions within a beam energy region of $3<\sqrt{s_{NN}}<30$ GeV. Good agreement of the beam energy dependence of the $K^+/π^+$ ratio is obtained, which is explained by the fact that a part of the system is not thermalized in our core-corona approach.
We discuss baryon resonances which are dynamically generated in hadron dynamics based on chiral coupled channels approach. With the dynamical description of the baryon resonance, we discuss the origin of the resonance pole, finding that for the description of N(1535) some other components than meson and baryon are necessary. Since the chiral unitary model provides a microscopic description in terms of constituent hadrons, it is straightforward to calculate transition amplitudes and form factors of resonances without introducing further parameters. Finally we briefly discuss few-body nuclear ka…
In this work we study the radiative decay of dynamically generated $J^P=\oh^-$ charm baryons into the ground state $J^P=\oh^+$ baryons. Since different theoretical interpretations of these baryonic resonances, and in particular of the $Λ_c(2595)$, give different predictions, a precise experimental measurement of these decays would be an important step for understanding their nature.
We study the interaction of vector mesons with the octet of stable baryons in the framework of the local hidden gauge formalism using a coupled channels unitary approach, including also the pseudoscalar-baryon channels which couple to the same quantum numbers. We examine the scattering amplitudes and their poles, which can be associated to known $J^P=1/2^-,3/2^-$ baryon resonances, and determine the role of the pseudoscalar-baryon channels, changing the width and eventually the mass of the resonances generated with only the basis of vector-baryon states.
We study the radiative decay into $γ$ and a baryon of the SU(3) octet and decuplet of nine and ten resonances that are dynamically generated from the interaction of vector mesons with baryons of the octet and the decuplet respectively. We obtain quite different partial decay widths for the various resonances, and for different charge states of the same resonance, suggesting that the experimental investigation of these radiative decays should bring much information on the nature of these resonances. For the case of baryons of the octet we determine the helicity amplitudes and compare them with …
We follow a model based on the SU(8) symmetry for the interaction of mesons with baryons. The model treats on an equal footing the pseudo-scalars and the vector mesons, as required by heavy quark symmetry. The T-matrix calculated within an unitary scheme in coupled channels has poles which are interpreted as baryonic resonances.
We present recent results on the vector meson-vector meson and vector meson-baryon interaction using a unitary approach based on the hidden-gauge Lagrangians. For the vector-vector case we find that 11 states get dynamically generated, corresponding to poles of the scattering matrices on the second Riemann sheet. In the vector-baryon sector we also find 9 states dynamically generated from the vector-baryon octet interaction and 10 from the vector-baryon decuplet interaction. We also report on baryon states found from the interaction of two mesons and a baryon.
We study baryon resonances with heavy flavor in a molecular approach, thus as dynamically generated by meson-baryon scattering. This is accomplished by using a unitary coupled-channel model taking, as bare interaction, the extension to four flavors and spin symmetry of the Weinberg-Tomozawa interaction potential. A special attention is paid to the inclusion of heavy-quark spin symmetry and to the studies of the generated baryon resonances which complete the heavy-quark spin multiplets. We reproduce few charmed and strange baryon resonances found experimentally, that is, Λ_c(2595), Λ_c(2625), Ξ…
We study the interaction of vector mesons with the octet of stable baryons in the framework of the local hidden gauge formalism using a coupled channels unitary approach. We examine the scattering amplitudes and their poles, which can be associated to known J^P=1/2^-,3/2^- baryon resonances, in some cases, or give predictions in other ones. The formalism employed produces doublets of degenerate J^P=1/2^-,3/2^- states, a pattern which is observed experimentally in several cases. The findings of this work should also be useful to guide present experimental programs searching for new resonances, …
To explore the structure of the QCD phase diagram in high baryon density domain, several high-energy nuclear collision experiments in a wide range of beam energies are currently performed or planned using many accelerator facilities. In these experiments search for a first-order phase transition and the QCD critical point is one of the most important topics. To find the signature of the phase transition, experimental data should be compared to appropriate dynamical models which quantitatively describe the process of the collisions. In this study we develop a new dynamical model on the basis of…
We present the results of the first calculations involving the interaction of vector mesons with baryons, by means of which one generates a large amount of dynamically generated resonances, many of which can be associated to known resonances, while others represent predictions for new states.
Charmed baryon resonances that are generated dynamically are studied within a unitary baryon-meson coupled-channel model, which incorporates heavy-quark spin symmetry. The extension of the SU(3) Weinberg-Tomozawa chiral Lagrangian to SU(8) spin-flavor symmetry plus a suitable symmetry breaking is used. The model produces resonances with negative parity from s-wave interaction of pseudoscalar and vector mesons with $1/2^+$ and $3/2^+$ baryons. Some of our dynamically generated states can be readily assigned to resonances found experimentally, while others do not have a straightforward identific…
The interaction potentials between vector mesons and octet baryons are calculated explicitly with a summation of t-, s-, u-channel diagrams and a contact term originating from the tensor interaction. Many resonances are generated dynamically in different channels of strangeness zero by solving the coupled-channel Lippman-Schwinger equations with the method of partial wave analysis, and their total angular momenta are determined. The spin partners N(1650)1/2^{-} and N(1700)3/2^-, N(1895)1/2^{-} and N(1875)3/2^-, and the state N(2120)3/2^- are all produced respectively in the isospin I=1/2 secto…

As an example of dynamically generated resonances we mention the interaction of vector mesons with baryons within the local hidden gauge formalism which gives rise to a large amount of such states, many of which can be associated to known resonances, while others represent predictions for new resonances. The width of these states coming from decay into pseudoscalar baryon is also addressed. We also mention recent states coming from $Δρπ$ interaction obtained with Faddeev equations.
We discuss the behavior of dynamically-generated charmed baryonic resonances in matter within a unitarized coupled-channel model consistent with heavy-quark spin symmetry. We analyze the implications for the formation of $D$-meson bound states in nuclei and the propagation of $D$ mesons in heavy-ion collisions from RHIC to FAIR energies.

The recently proposed mechanism for the formation of the Roper resonance, in which a dynamically generated state as well as a genuine three-quark resonant state play an equally important role, is confronted with the model proposed almost twenty years ago in which the Roper is pictured as a molecular state of the nucleon and the $σ$ meson.
For the discovery of the QCD critical point it is crucial to develop dynamical models of the fluctuations of the net-baryon number that can be embedded in simulations of heavy-ion collisions. In this proceeding, we study the dynamical formation of the critical fluctuations of the net-baryon number near the QCD critical point and their survival in the late stages in an expanding system. The stochastic diffusion equation with a non-linear free energy functional is employed for describing the evolution of conserved-charge fluctuations along trajectories in the crossover and first-order transition…
A hybrid (hydrodynamics + hadronic transport) theoretical framework is assembled to model the bulk dynamics of relativistic heavy-ion collisions at energies accessible in the Beam Energy Scan (BES) program at the Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collider (RHIC) and the NA61/SHINE experiment at CERN. The system's energy-momentum tensor and net baryon current are evolved according to relativistic hydrodynamics with finite shear viscosity and non-zero net baryon diffusion. Our hydrodynamic description is matched to a hadronic transport model in the dilute region. With this fully integrated theoretical fram…
We show how generic nonabelian gauge fields can be induced in baryons when a hierarchy of fast degrees of freedom is integrated out. We identify them with nonabelian Berry potentials and discuss their role in transmuting quantum numbers in bag and soliton models of baryons. The resulting baryonic spectra for both light and heavy quark systems are generic and resemble closely the excitation spectrum of diatomic molecules. The symmetry restoration in the system, i.e., the electronic rotational invariance in diatomic molecules, the heavy-quark symmetry in heavy baryons etc. is interpreted in term…
We study charmed baryon resonances that are generated dynamically from a coupled-channel unitary approach that implements heavy-quark symmetry. Some states can already be identified with experimental observations, such as $Λ_c(2595)$, $Λ_c(2660)$, $Σ_c(2902)$ or $Λ_c(2941)$, while others need a compilation of more experimental data as well as an extension of the model to include higher order contributions. We also compare our model to previous SU(4) schemes.
We investigate the enhancement of yields of strange and multi-strange baryons in proton-proton (p+p), proton-lead (p+Pb) and lead-lead (Pb+Pb) collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) energies from a dynamical core-corona initialization model. We first generate partons just after the collisions by using event generators. These partons dynamically generate the quark gluon plasma (QGP) fluids through the source terms in the hydrodynamic equations. According to the core-corona picture, this process tends to happen where the density of generated partons is high and their transverse momentum i…
Some recent developments in chiral dynamics of hadrons and hadrons in a medium are presented. Unitary schemes based on chiral Lagrangians describe some hadronic states as being dynamically generated resonances. We discuss how standard quantum many body techniques can be used to calculate the properties of these dynamically generated and other hadrons in the nuclear medium. We present some results for vector mesons ($ρ$ and $ϕ$), scalar mesons ($σ$, $κ$, $a_0(980)$, $f_0(980)$), the $Λ(1520)$ and for the in-medium baryon-baryon interaction.
The meson-baryon coupled channel unitary approach with the local hidden gauge formalism is extended to the hidden beauty sector. A few narrow $N^*$ and $Λ^*$ resonances around 11 GeV are predicted as dynamically generated states from the interactions of heavy beauty mesons and baryons. Production cross sections of these predicted resonances in $pp$ and $ep$ collisions are estimated as a guide for the possible experimental search at relevant facilities.
We present a path-integral hadronization for doubly heavy baryons. The two heavy quarks in the baryon are approximated as a scalar or axial-vector diquark described by a heavy diquark effective theory. The gluon dynamics are represented by a NJL-Model interaction for the heavy diquarks and light quarks, which leads to an effective action of the baryon fields after the quark and diquark fields are integrated out. This effective action for doubly heavy baryon includes the electromagnetic and electroweak interactions, as well as the interaction with light mesons. We also verify the Ward-Takahashi…
We discuss homogeneous baryonic matter in the decompactified limit of the Sakai-Sugimoto model, improving existing approximations based on flat-space instantons. We allow for an anisotropic deformation of the instantons in the holographic and spatial directions and for a density-dependent distribution of arbitrarily many instanton layers in the bulk. Within our approximation, the baryon onset turns out to be a second-order phase transition, at odds with nature, and there is no transition to quark matter at high densities, at odds with expectations from QCD. This changes when we impose certain …
In this review we give a perspective of the theoretical work done recently on the interpretation of results from $B$, $D$, $Λ_b$, $Λ_c$ weak decays into final states that contain interacting hadrons, and how it is possible to obtain additional valuable information that is increasing our understanding of hadron interactions and the nature of many hadronic resonances. The novelty of these processes is that one begins with a clean picture at the quark level which allows one to select the basic mechanisms by means of which the process proceeds. Finally, one has a final state described in terms of …
We study charmed and strange baryon resonances that are generated dynamically within a unitary meson-baryon coupled-channel model which incorporates heavy-quark spin symmetry. This is accomplished by extending the SU(3) Weinberg-Tomozawa chiral Lagrangian to SU(8) spin-flavor symmetry and implementing a strong flavor symmetry breaking. The model generates dynamically resonances with negative parity in all the isospin, spin, and strange and charm sectors that one can form from an s-wave interaction between pseudoscalar and vector meson multiplets with $1/2^+$ and $3/2^+$ baryons. Our results ar…
We calculate the T-matrices of pseudoscalar meson octet-baryon scattering to one-loop order in SU(3) heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory. The pertinent combinations of low-energy constants are determined by fitting to phase shifts of $πN$ and $K N$ scattering and the corresponding data. By using these low-energy constants, we obtain the strong phase shift difference of $πΛ$ scattering at the $Ξ$ mass, $δ_P-δ_S=(8.8 \pm 0.2)$ degrees, in agreement with experimental results. We find that the phase shifts in the $S_{01}$($πΣ$), $S_{01}$($K Ξ$), $S_{01}$($\overline{K} N$), and $S_{11}$($\overl…
We present the results of a nonrelativistic constituent quark model study of the semileptonic decays $Λ_b^0 \to Λ_c^+ l^- {\bar ν}_l$ and $Ξ_b^0 \to Ξ_c^+ l^- {\bar ν}_l$. We work on coordinate space, with baryon wave functions recently obtained from a variational approach based on heavy quark symmetry . We develop a novel expansion of the electroweak current operator, which supplemented with heavy quark effective theory constraints, allows us to predict the baryon form factors and the decay distributions for all $q^2$ (or equivalently $w$) values accessible in the physical decays. Our results…
We discuss the emergence of a low-energy effective theory with quarks, mesons, diquarks and baryons at vanishing and finite baryon density from first principle QCD. The present work also includes an overview on diquarks at vanishing and finite density, and elucidates the physics of transitional changes from baryonic matter to quark matter including diquarks. This set-up is discussed within the functional renormalisation group approach with dynamical hadronisation. In this framework it is detailed how mesons, diquarks, and baryons emerge dynamically from the renormalisation flow of the QCD effe…
The s-wave meson-baryon interaction is studied using the lowest-order chiral Lagrangian in a unitary coupled-channels Bethe-Salpeter equation. In the strangeness $S=-1$ sector the low-energy $K^- p$ dynamics leads to the dynamical generation of the $Λ(1405)$ as a ${\bar K}N$ state, along with a good description of the $K^- p$ scattering observables. At higher energies, the $Λ(1670)$ is also found to be generated dynamically as a $K Ξ$ quasibound state for the first time. For strangeness S=0, it is the $S_{11}(1535)$ resonance that emerges from the coupled-channels equations, leading to a satis…
In this talk we report on how, using a chiral unitary approach for the meson--baryon interactions, two octets of $J^π=1/2^-$ baryon states and a singlet are generated dynamically, resulting in the case of strangeness $S=-1$ in two poles of the scattering matrix close to the nominal $Λ(1405)$ resonance. We suggest experiments which could show evidence for the existence of these states.
We study the $C=1$, $S=-2$, $I=0$ sector, where five excited $Ω_c$ states have been recently observed by the LHCb Collaboration. We start from a recently developed unitarized baryon-meson model that takes, as bare baryon-meson interaction, an extended Weinberg-Tomozawa kernel consistent with both chiral and heavy-quark spin symmetries. This ${\rm SU(6)} \times {\rm HQSS}$ scheme leads to a successful description of the observed lowest-lying odd parity charmed $Λ_c$(2595) and $Λ_c$(2625) states, and bottomed $Λ_b$(5912) and $Λ_b$(5920) resonances. Within this model, five odd-parity $Ω_c$ states…
The nature of baryon resonances is studied in the dynamical chiral coupled-channel approach for meson-baryon scattering. In general, origin of resonances in two-body scattering can be classified into two categories: dynamically generated states and genuine elementary particles. We demonstrate that the genuine contribution in the loop function can be excluded by adopting a natural renormalization scheme. The origin of resonances can be studied by looking at the effective interaction in the natural renormalization scheme, which is deduced from the phenomenological amplitude fitted to experimenta…
