The results of a detailed analysis of SMA, VLA, and IRAM observations of the region of massive star formation S255N in CO(2---1), \nh, \nhh, \co and some other lines is presented. Combining interferometer and single-dish data has enabled a more detailed investigation of the gas kinematics in the moleclar core on various spatial scales. There are no signs of rotation or isotropic compression on the scale of the region as whole. The largest fragments of gas ($\approx$0.3 pc) are located near the boundary of the regions of ionized hydrogen S255 and S257. Some smaller-scale fragments are associated with protostellar clumps. The kinetic temperatures of these fragments lie in the range 10---80 K. A circumstellar torus with inner radius R$_{in}$ $\approx$ 8000 AU and outer radius R$_{out}$ 12 000 AU has been detected around the clump SMA1. The rotation profile indicates the existence of a central object with mass $\approx$ 8.5/ sin 2 (i) M$_\odot$ . SMA1 is resolved into two clumps, SMA1---NE and SMA1---SE, whose temperatures are $\approx$150 K and $\approx$25 K, respectively. To all appearances, the torus is involved in the accretion of surrounding gas onto the two protostellar clumps.
We use high spatial resolution stellar velocity maps from the Gemini GMOS integral-field spectrograph (IFS) and wide-field velocity maps from the McDonald Mitchell IFS to study the stellar velocity profiles and kinematic misalignments from $\sim 200$ pc to $\sim 20$ kpc in 20 early-type galaxies with stellar mass $M_* > 10^{11.7} M_\odot$ in the MASSIVE survey. While 80% of the galaxies have low spins ($λ< 0.1$) and low rotational velocities ($< 50$ km/s) in both the central region and the main body, we find a diverse range of velocity features and misalignment angles. For the 18 galaxies with…
The mixing of ejecta from young stars into the interstellar medium is an important process in the interplay between star formation and galaxy evolution. A unique window into these processes is provided by the radioactive isotopes $^{26}$Al, traced by its $γ$-ray decay lines at 1.8 MeV. With a mean lifetime of $\sim$1 Myr it is a long-term tracer of nucleosynthesis for massive stars. Our population synthesis code models the ejection of $^{26}$Al, together with the $^{60}$Fe, the kinetic energy and UV radiation for a population of massive stars. We have applied the code to study the nearby Orion…
[Context] Recent detections of disks around young high-mass stars support the idea of massive star formation through accretion rather than coalescence, but the detailed kinematics in the equatorial region of the disk candidates is not well known, which limits our understanding of the accretion process. [Aims] This paper explores the kinematics of the gas around a young massive star with millimeter-wave interferometry to improve our understanding of the formation of massive stars though accretion. [Methods] We use Plateau de Bure interferometric images to probe the environment of the nearby (~1…
We present the first systematic investigation of the existence, spatial distribution, and kinematics of warm ionized gas as traced by the [O II] 3727AA emission line in 74 of the most massive galaxies in the local Universe. All of our galaxies have deep integral field spectroscopy from the volume- and magnitude-limited MASSIVE survey of early-type galaxies with stellar mass log(M_*/M_sun) > 11.5 (M_K < -25.3 mag) and distance D < 108 Mpc. Of the 74 galaxies in our sample, we detect warm ionized gas in 28, which yields a global detection fraction of 38\pm6% down to a typical [O II] equivalent w…

We present a 2D kinematic analysis out to ~2-5 effective radii (Re) of 33 massive elliptical galaxies with stellar velocity dispersions larger than 150 km/s. Our observations were taken using the Mitchell Spectrograph (formerly VIRUS-P), a spectrograph with a large 107 x 107 square arcsecond field-of-view that allows us to construct robust, spatially resolved kinematic maps of the mean velocity and velocity dispersion for each galaxy extending to at least 2 Re. Using these maps we study the radial dependence of the stellar angular momentum and other kinematic properties. We see the familiar di…
We present a series of 20 cosmological zoom simulations of the formation of massive galaxies with and without a model for AGN feedback. Differences in stellar population and kinematic properties are evaluated by constructing mock integral field unit (IFU) maps. The impact of the AGN is weak at high redshift when all systems are mostly fast-rotating and disc-like. After $z \sim 1$ the AGN simulations result in lower mass, older, less metal rich and slower rotating systems with less disky isophotes - in general agreement with observations. Two-dimensional kinematic maps of in-situ and accreted s…
(Abridged) We present an investigation of kinematical imprints of AGN feedback on the Warm Ionized gas Medium (WIM) of massive early-type galaxies (ETGs). To this end, we take a two-fold approach that involves a comparative analysis of Halpha velocity fields in 123 local ETGs from the CALIFA integral field spectroscopy survey with 20 simulated galaxies from high-resolution hydrodynamic cosmological SPHgal simulations. The latter were re-simulated for two modeling setups, one with and another without AGN feedback. In order to quantify the effects of AGN feedback on gas kinematics we measure thr…
The mid- and far-infrared view on high-mass star formation, in particular with the results from the Herschel space observatory, has shed light on many aspects of massive star formation. However, these continuum studies lack kinematic information. We study the kinematics of the molecular gas in high-mass star-forming regions. We complemented the PACS and SPIRE far-infrared data of 16 high-mass star-forming regions from the Herschel key project EPoS with N2H+ molecular line data from the MOPRA and Nobeyama 45m telescope. Using the full N2H+ hyperfine structure, we produced column density, veloci…
We use observations from the GEMINI-N/GMOS integral-field spectrograph (IFS) to obtain spatially resolved stellar kinematics of the central $\sim 1$ kpc of 20 early-type galaxies (ETGs) with stellar masses greater than $10^{11.7} M_\odot$ in the MASSIVE survey. Together with observations from the wide-field Mitchell IFS at McDonald Observatory in our earlier work, we obtain unprecedentedly detailed kinematic maps of local massive ETGs, covering a scale of $\sim 0.1-30$ kpc. The high ($\sim 120$) signal-to-noise of the GMOS spectra enable us to obtain two-dimensional maps of the line-of-sight v…
We use spatially resolved two-dimensional stellar velocity maps over a $107"\times 107"$ field of view to investigate the kinematic features of 90 early-type galaxies above stellar mass $10^{11.5}M_\odot$ in the MASSIVE survey. We measure the misalignment angle $Ψ$ between the kinematic and photometric axes and identify local features such as velocity twists and kinematically distinct components. We find 46% of the sample to be well aligned ($Ψ< 15^{\circ}$), 33% misaligned, and 21% without detectable rotation (non-rotators). Only 24% of the sample are fast rotators, the majority of which (91%…
We study the impact of merging supermassive black holes (SMBHs) on the central regions of massive early-type galaxies (ETGs) using a series of merger simulations with varying mass ratios. The ETG models include realistic stellar and dark matter components and are evolved with the GADGET based regularized tree code KETJU. We show that observed key properties of the nuclear stellar populations of massive ETGs, namely flat stellar density distributions (cores), tangentially biased velocity distributions and kinematically decoupled (counter-)rotation can naturally result from a single process $-$ …
Relations between star formation rates along the spiral arms and the velocities of gas inflow into the arms in grand-design galaxy NGC 628 were studied. We found that the radial distribution of average star formation rate in individual star formation regions in regular spiral arms correlates with the velocity of gas inflow into the spiral arms. Both distributions have maxima at a galactocentric distance of 4.5-5 kpc. There are no correlations between the radial distributions of average star formation rate in star formation regions in spiral arms and outside spiral arms in the main disc. We als…
We use K-band spectroscopic data from the Multi-Object Spectroscopic Emission Line (MOSEL) survey to analyze the kinematic properties of galaxies at z>3. Our sample consists of 34 galaxies at 3.0<zspec<3.8 between 9.0<log(M_star)<11.0. We find that galaxies with log(M_star) > 10.2 at z > 3 have 56 +/- 21 km/s lower integrated velocity dispersion compared to galaxies at z ~ 2 of similar stellar mass. Massive galaxies at z > 3 have either a flat or declining star formation history (SFH), whereas similar stellar mass galaxies at z~2.0 exhibit a slight peak in the past 500 Myrs. Comparing with the…
In this work, we analyze a sample of $\sim$4000 massive ($M_*\geq 10^{11} M_\odot$ at $z=0$) galaxies in TNG300, the $(300 \mathrm{Mpc})^3$ box of the IllustrisTNG simulation suite. We characterize the shape and kinematics of these galaxies with a focus on the kinematic misalignment ($Ψ_\mathrm{int}$) between the angular momentum (AM) and morphological major axis. We find that the traditional purely shape- or kinematics-based classifications are insufficient to characterize the diversity of our sample and define a new set of classes based on the rates of change of the galaxies' morphological a…
Based on published sources, we have created a kinematic database on 220 massive (>10 solar masses) young Galactic star systems located within <3 kpc of the Sun. Out of them, approximately 100 objects are spectroscopic binary and multiple star systems whose components are massive OB stars; the remaining objects are massive Hipparcos B stars with parallax errors of no more than 10 percent. Based on the entire sample, we have constructed the Galactic rotation curve, determined the circular rotation velocity of the solar neighborhood around the Galactic center at Ro=8 kpc, Vo=259+-16 km/s, and obt…
Two main scenarios for the formation of the Galactic bulge are invoked, the first one through gravitational collapse or hierarchical merging of subclumps, the second through secular evolution of the Galactic disc. We aim to constrain the formation of the Galactic bulge through studies of the correlation between kinematics and metallicities in Baade's Window (l=1, b=-4) and two other fields along the bulge minor axis (l=0, b=-6 and b=-12). We combine the radial velocity and the [Fe/H] measurements obtained with FLAMES/GIRAFFE at the VLT with a spectral resolution of R=20000, plus for the Baade'…
We study the properties of kinematically disturbed galaxies in the SAMI Galaxy Survey using a quantitative criterion, based on kinemetry (Krajnovic et al.). The approach, similar to the application of kinemetry by Shapiro et al. uses ionised gas kinematics, probed by Hα emission. By this method 23+/-7% of our 360-galaxy sub-sample of the SAMI Galaxy Survey are kinematically asymmetric. Visual classifications agree with our kinemetric results for 90% of asymmetric and 95% of normal galaxies. We find stellar mass and kinematic asymmetry are inversely correlated and that kinematic asymmetry is bo…
We present parsec-scale kinematics of eleven nearby galactic nuclei, derived from adaptive-optics assisted integral-field spectroscopy at (near-infrared) CO band-head wavelengths. We focus our analysis on the balance between ordered rotation and random motions, which can provide insights into the dominant formation mechanism of nuclear star clusters (NSCs). We divide our target sample into late- and early-type galaxies, and discuss the nuclear kinematics of the two sub-samples, aiming at probing any link between NSC formation and host galaxy evolution. The results suggest that the dominant for…
In this letter, we investigate the impact of environment on integrated and spatially-resolved stellar kinematics of a sample of massive, quiescent galaxies at intermediate redshift ($0.6<z<1.0$). For this analysis, we combine photometric and spectroscopic parameters from the UltraVISTA and Large Early Galaxy Astrophysics Census (LEGA-C) surveys in the COSMOS field and environmental measurements. We analyze the trends with overdensity (1+$δ$) on the rotational support of quiescent galaxies and find no universal trends at either fixed mass or fixed stellar velocity dispersion. This is consistent…
In the first few Myr the massive stars dynamically interact, produce runaways and affect the initial binary population. Observing and interpreting the dynamics of young massive clusters is key to our understanding of the star formation process and predicting the outcome of stellar evolution. We have studied NGC6611 in the Eagle Nebula (M16), a young massive cluster hosting 19 O stars. We used Gaia EDR3 data to determine the membership, age, cluster dynamics and the kinematics of the massive stars including runaways. The membership analysis yields 137 members located at a mean distance of 1706 …
We measured the $12.8μ$m [NeII] line in the dwarf starburst galaxy He 2-10 with the high-resolution spectrometer TeXeS on the NASA IRTF. The data cube has diffraction-limited spatial resolution $\sim1^{\prime\prime}$ and total velocity resolution including thermal broadening of $\sim5$km/s. This makes it possible to compare the kinematics of individual star-forming clumps and molecular clouds in the three dimensions of space and velocity, and allows us to determine star formation efficiencies. The kinematics of the ionized gas confirm that the starburst contains multiple dense clusters. From t…
NGC 4194 is a post-merger starburst known as The Medusa for its striking tidal features. We present here a detailed study of the structure and kinematics of ionized gas in the central 0.65 kpc of the Medusa. The data include radio continuum maps with resolution up to $0.18\arcsec$ (35 pc) and a $12.8μ$m [NeII] data cube with spectral resolution $\sim4$\kms: the first {\it high resolution, extinction-free} observations of this remarkable object. The ionized gas has the kinematic signature of a core in solid-body rotation. The starburst has formed a complex of bright compact \HII~regions, probab…
We analyse the ionized gas kinematics in the star formation regions of the supergiant shell (SGS) of the IC 2574 galaxy using observations with the Fabry-Perot interferometer at the 6-m telescope of SAO RAS; the data of the THINGS survey are used to analyze the neutral gas kinematics in the area. We perform the 'derotation' of the H-alpha and HI data cubes and show its efficiency in kinematics analysis. We confirm the SGS expansion velocity 25 km/s obtained by Walter & Brinks (1999) and conclude that the SGS is located at the far side of the galactic disc plane. We determine the expansion velo…
We utilise the DEIMOS instrument on the Keck telescope to measure the wide-field stellar kinematics of early-type galaxies as part of the SAGES Legacy Unifying Globulars and GalaxieS (SLUGGS) survey. In this paper, we focus on some of the lowest stellar mass lenticular galaxies within this survey, namely NGC 2549, NGC 4474, NGC 4459 and NGC 7457, performing detailed kinematic analyses out to large radial distances of $\sim 2-3$ effective radii. For NGC 2549, we present the first analysis of data taken with the SuperSKiMS (Stellar Kinematics from Multiple Slits) technique. To better probe kinem…
Galaxy interactions leave imprints in the motions of their stars, and so observing the two-dimensional stellar kinematics allows us to uncover their formation process. Slow rotators, which have stellar orbits dominated by random motions, are thought to be the fossil relics of a sequence of multiple gas-poor mergers, in an environment where the cold gas required to form new stars is nearly absent. Indeed, observations of a handful of nearby galaxy clusters have indicated that slow rotators are preferentially found in the gas-poor, dense cores of clusters, which themselves must form by merging o…
Early-type galaxies (ETGs) host a hot ISM produced mainly by stellar winds, and heated by Type Ia supernovae and the thermalization of stellar motions. High resolution 2D hydrodynamical simulations showed that ordered rotation in the stellar component results in the formation of a centrifugally supported cold equatorial disc. In a recent numerical investigation we found that subsequent generations of stars are formed in this cold disc; this process consumes most of the cold gas, leaving at the present epoch cold masses comparable to those observed. Most of the new stellar mass formed a few Gyr…
We compare the kinetic energy and momentum injection rates from intense star formation, bolometric AGN radiation, and radio jets with the kinetic energy and momentum observed in the warm ionized gas in 24 powerful radio galaxies at z~2. These galaxies are amongst our best candidates for being massive galaxies near the end of their active formation period, when intense star formation, quasar activity, and powerful radio jets all co-exist. All galaxies have VLT/SINFONI imaging spectroscopy of the rest-frame optical line emission, showing emission-line regions with large velocity offsets (up to 1…
We investigate the connection between ionized gas outflows and star formation activity using a large sample of type 1 and 2 AGNs with far-IR detections or star formation rate (SFR) estimates. The strength of ionized gas outflows, measured by the velocity dispersion and velocity shift of the \OIII\ emission line, clearly shows a correlation with SFR. The connection between specific star formation rate (sSFR) and \OIII\ gas velocity dispersion indicates that AGNs with stronger outflows are hosted by galaxies with higher SFR. Compared to star-forming galaxies in the main sequence, both type 1 and…
We analyze orbits of stars and dark matter out to three effective radii for 42 galaxies formed in cosmological zoom simulations. Box orbits always dominate at the centers and $z$-tubes become important at larger radii. We connect the orbital structure to the formation histories and specific features (e.g. disk, counter-rotating core, minor axis rotation) in two-dimensional kinematic maps. Globally, fast rotating galaxies with significant recent in situ star formation are dominated by $z$-tubes. Slow rotators with recent mergers have significant box orbit and $x$-tube components. Rotation, quan…
We present a kinematic analysis of the dust-lane elliptical NGC 5626 based on MUSE observations. These data allow to robustly classify this galaxy as a fast rotator and to infer a virial mass of $10^{11.7} M_\odot$, making it one of the most massive fast rotators known. In addition, the depth and extent of the MUSE data reveal a strong kinematic twist in the stellar velocity field (by up to $45$ degrees beyond $1.5R_e$). A comparison with the ATLAS$^\mathrm{3D}$ sample underlines the rareness of this system, although we show that such a large-scale kinematic twist could have been missed by the…
Five regions of massive star formation have been observed in various molecular lines in the frequency range $\sim 85-89$ GHz. The studied regions possess dense cores, which host young stellar objects. The physical parameters of the cores are estimated, including kinetic temperatures ($\sim 20-40$ K), sizes of the emitting regions ($\sim 0.1-0.6$ pc), and virial masses ($\sim 40-500 M_{\odot}$). Column densities and abundances of various molecules are calculated in the local thermodynamical equilibrium approximation. The core in 99.982+4.17, associated with the weakest IRAS source, is character…
To better characterize the upper end of the galaxy stellar mass range, the MUSE Most Massive Galaxies (M3G) Survey targeted the most massive galaxies (M$>10^{12}$ M$_{\odot}$) found in the densest known clusters of galaxies at $z\sim0.046$. The sample is composed by 25 early-type galaxies: 14 BCGs, of which 3 are in the densest region of the Shapley Super Cluster (SSC), and 11 massive satellites in the SSC. In this work we aim at deriving the spatial distribution and kinematics of the gas, and discussing its ionisation mechanism and origin in the optical wavelength range with MUSE data. We fit…
Aims. Interacting galaxies show unique irregularities in their kinematic structure. By investigating the spatially resolved kinematics and stellar population properties of galaxies that show irregularities, we can paint a detailed picture of the formation and evolutionary processes that took place during its lifetimes. Methods. In this work, we focus on galaxies with a specific kinematic irregularity, a kinematically distinct stellar core (KDC), in particular, counter-rotating galaxies where the core and main body of the galaxy are rotating in opposite directions. We visually identify eleven M…

We use the Fundamental Plane (FP) to measure the redshift evolution of the dynamical mass-to-light ratio ($M_{\mathrm{dyn}}/L$) and the dynamical-to-stellar mass ratio ($M_{\mathrm{dyn}}/M_*$). Although conventionally used to study the properties of early-type galaxies, we here obtain stellar kinematic measurements from the Large Early Galaxy Astrophysics Census (LEGA-C) Survey for a sample of $\sim1400$ massive ($\log( M_*/M_\odot) >10.5$) galaxies at $0.6<z<1.0$ that span a wide range in star formation activity. In line with previous studies, we find a strong evolution in $M_{\mathrm{dyn}}/L…
Despite numerous efforts, it is still unclear whether lenticular galaxies (S0s) evolve from spirals whose star formation was suppressed, or formed trough mergers or disk instabilities. In this paper we present a pilot study of 21 S0 galaxies in extreme environments (field and cluster), and compare their spatially-resolved kinematics and global stellar populations. Our aim is to identify whether there are different mechanisms that form S0s in different environments. Our results show that the kinematics of S0 galaxies in field and cluster are, indeed, different. Lenticulars in the cluster are mo…
Feedback from massive stars shapes the ISM and affects the evolution of galaxies, but its mechanisms acting at the small scales ($\sim 10$ pc) are still not well constrained observationally, especially in the low-metallicity environments. We present the analysis of the ionized gas (focusing on its kinematics, which were never studied before), and its connection to the massive stars in the nearby ($D \sim 1.4$ Mpc) star-forming very metal-poor ($Z\sim 0.07 Z_\odot$) galaxy Sextans A. The analysis is based on the observations with a scanning Fabry-Perot interferometer, long-slit spectroscopy and…
Simulating supermassive black hole mass measurements for a sample of ultra massive galaxies using ELT/HARMONI high spatial resolution integral-field stellar kinematics
Super-massive black holes, with masses larger than a million times that of the Sun, appear to inhabit the centers of all massive galaxies. Cosmologically-motivated theories of galaxy formation need feedback from these super-massive black holes to regulate star formation. In the absence of such feedback, state-of-the-art numerical simulations dramatically fail to reproduce the number density and properties of massive galaxies in the local Universe. However, there is no observational evidence of this strongly coupled co-evolution between super-massive black holes and star formation, impeding our…
VLBI multi-epoch water maser observations are a powerful tool to study the dense, warm shocked gas very close to massive protostars. The very high-angular resolution of these observations allow us to measure the proper motions of the masers in a few weeks, and together with the radial velocity, to determine their full kinematics. In this paper we present a summary of the main observational results obtained toward the massive star-forming regions of Cepheus A and W75N, among them: (i) the identification of different centers of high-mass star formation activity at scales of 100 AU; (ii) the disc…
We investigate the internal kinematics of the young star-forming region NGC 346 in the Small Magellanic Cloud. We used two epochs of deep F555W and F814W Hubble Space Telescope ACS observations with an 11-year baseline to determine proper motions, and study the kinematics of different populations, as identified by their color-magnitude diagram and spatial distribution characteristics. The proper motion field of the young stars shows a complex structure with spatially coherent patterns. NGC 346 upper-main sequence and pre-main sequence stars follow very similar motion patterns, with the outer p…
We present ALMA high spatial resolution observations towards two star forming regions located in one of the most extreme zones of star formation in the Galaxy, the Carina Nebula. One region is located at the center of the nebula and is severally affected by the stellar feedback from high-mass stars, while the other region is located further south and is less disturbed by the massive star clusters. We found that the region at the center of the nebula is forming less but more massive cores than the region located in the south, suggesting that the level of stellar feedback effectively influence t…
We present high sensitivity HI observations of NGC 6822, obtained with the Karoo Array Telescope (KAT-7). We study the kinematics, the mass distribution, and the star formation thresholds. The KAT-7 short baselines and low system temperature make it sensitive to large-scale, low surface brightness emission. The observations detected $\sim$ 23$\%$ more flux than previous ATCA observations. We fit a tilted ring model to the HI velocity field to derive the rotation curve (RC). The KAT-7 observations allow the measurement of the rotation curve of NGC 6822 out to 5.8 kpc, $\sim$ 1 kpc further than …
Stars are born in dense molecular filaments irrespective of their mass. Compression of the ISM by shocks cause filament formation in molecular clouds. Observations show that a massive star cluster formation occurs where the peak of gas column density in a cloud exceeds 10^23 cm^-2. In this study, we investigate the effect of the shock-compressed layer duration on filament/star formation and how the initial conditions of massive star formation are realized by performing three-dimensional (3D) isothermal magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) simulations with {gas inflow duration from the boundaries (i.e., …

High redshift disc galaxies are more gas rich, clumpier, and more turbulent than local Universe galaxies. This early era of galaxy formation imprints the distribution and kinematics of the stars that we observe today, but it is not yet well established how. In this work, we use simulations of isolated Milky Way-mass disc galaxies to study how kinematic properties of stars change when varying the gas fraction. This allows us to quantify the roles played by internal processes, e.g. gas turbulence and gravitational scattering off massive gas clumps, in establishing the observed stellar velocity d…
Due to longer dynamical timescales, the outskirts of early-type galaxies retain the footprint of their formation and assembly. Under the popular two-phase galaxy formation scenario, an initial in-situ phase of star formation is followed by minor merging and accretion of ex-situ stars leading to the expectation of observable transitions in the kinematics and stellar populations on large scales. However, observing the faint galactic outskirts is challenging, often leaving the transition unexplored. The large scale, spatially-resolved stellar kinematic data from the SAGES Legacy Unifying Galaxies…
Infrared dark clouds (IRDCs) are thought to be potential hosts of the elusive early phases of high-mass star formation. Here we conduct an in-depth kinematic analysis of one such IRDC, G034.43+00.24 (Cloud F), using high sensitivity and high spectral resolution IRAM-30m N$_2$H$^+$ ($1-0$) and C$^{18}$O ($1-0$) observations. To disentangle the complex velocity structure within this cloud we use Gaussian decomposition and hierarchical clustering algorithms. We find that four distinct coherent velocity components are present within Cloud F. The properties of these components are compared to those…
We measure the stellar populations as a function of radius for 90 early-type galaxies (ETGs) in the MASSIVE survey, a volume-limited integral-field spectroscopic (IFS) galaxy survey targeting all northern-sky ETGs with absolute K-band magnitude M_K < -25.3 mag, or stellar mass M* 4x10^11 M_sun, within 108 Mpc. We are able to measure reliable stellar population parameters for individual galaxies out to 10-20 kpc (1-3 R_e) depending on the galaxy. Focusing on ~R_e (~10 kpc), we find significant correlations between the abundance ratios, sigma, and M* at large radius, but we also find that the ab…
