In this paper we mainly study the long time behaviour of solutions to the finite extensible nonlinear elastic (FENE) dumbbell model with dimension two in the co-rotation case. Firstly, we obtain the $L^2$ decay rate of the velocity of the 2D co-rotation FENE model is $(1+t)^{-\frac{1}{2}}$ with small data. Then, by virtue of the Littlewood-Paley theory, we can remove the small condition. Our obtained sharp result improves considerably the recent results in \cite{Luo-Yin,Schonbek}.

Vanishing viscosity limit to the FENE dumbbell model of polymeric flows

In this paper we mainly investigate the inviscid limit for the strong solutions of the finite extensible nonlinear elastic (FENE) dumbbell model. By virtue of the Littlewood-Paley theory, we first obtain a uniform estimate for the solution to the FENE dumbbell model with viscosity in Besov spaces. Moreover, we show that the data-to-solution map is continuous. Finally, we prove that the strong solution of the FENE dumbbell model converges to a Euler system couple with a Fokker-Planck equation. Furthermore, convergence rates in Lebesgue spaces are obtained also.

Well-posedness for the FENE dumbbell model of polymetric flows in Besov spaces

In this paper we mainly investigate the Cauchy problem of the finite extensible nonlinear elastic (FENE) dumbbell model with dimension $d\geq2$. We first proved the local well-posedness for the FENE model in Besov spaces by using the Littlewood-Paley theory. Then by an accurate estimate we get a blow-up criterion. Moreover, if the initial data is perturbation around equilibrium, we obtain a global existence result. Our obtained results generalize recent results in [8].

Global strong solutions and optimal $L^2$ decay to the compressible FENE dumbbell model

In this paper, we are concerned with the global well-posedness and $L^2$ decay rate for the strong solutions of the compressible finite extensible nonlinear elastic (FENE) dumbbell model. For $d\geq 2$, we prove that the compressible FENE dumbbell model admits a unique global strong solution provided the initial data are close to equilibrium state. Moreover, by the Littlewood-Paley decomposition theory and the Fourier splitting method, we show optimal $L^2$ decay rate of global strong solutions for $d\geq 3$.

In this paper we mainly study large time behavior for the strong solutions of the finite extensible nonlinear elastic (FENE) dumbbell model. There is a lot results about the $L^2$ decay rate of the co-rotation model. In this paper, we consider the general case. We prove that the optimal $L^2$ decay rate of the velocity is $(1+t)^{-\frac{d}{4}}$ with $d\geq 2$. This result improves the previous result in \cite{Luo-Yin}.

The Liouville theorem and the $L^2$ decay of the FENE dumbbell model of polymeric flows

In this paper we mainly investigate the finite extensible nonlinear elastic (FENE) dumbbell model with dimension $d\geq2$ in the whole space. We first proved that there is only the trivial solution for the steady-state FENE model under some integrable condition. We explore the behaviour of global-in-time weak solutions to a class of bead-spring chain models, with finitely extensible nonlinear elastic (FENE) spring potentials, for dilute polymeric fluids. In the models under consideration the solvent is assumed to be a compressible, isentropic, viscous, isothermal Newtonian fluid, confined to a bounded open domain in $\mathbb{R}^3$, and the velocity field is assumed to satisfy a complete slip boundary condition. We show that as the Mach number tends to zero the system is driven to its incompressible counterpart.
