A systematic study of hadronic masses shows regular oscillations that can be fitted by a simple cosine function. This property can be observed when the difference between adjacent masses of each family is plotted versus the mean mass. This symmetry of oscillation is also observed for the nuclear level masses of given spin.

The thermal description of light nuclei at the chemical freeze-out has been investigated. First, I have verified the equilibration of the light nuclei and then introduced a new method to investigate the light nuclei formation. One can study the proximity between the phase space density of light nuclei ratios and their hadronic constituents e.g $\bar{d}/d$ and $(\bar{p}\bar{n}/pn)$. I have found that with the exclusion of the decay feed-down from the hadronic yields in the thermal model, the hadronic representations have good agreement with the light nuclei ratios. I have performed a similar an…
Collective flow observables are known to be a sensitive tool to gain insights on the equation of state of nuclear matter from heavy-ion collision observations. Towards more quantitative constraints one has to carefully assess other influences on the collective behaviour. In this work a hadronic transport approach SMASH (Simulating Many Accelerated Strongly-interacting Hadrons) is applied to study the first four anisotropic flow coefficients in Au+Au collisions at $E_{\rm lab}=1.23A$ GeV in the context of the recently measured data by the HADES collaboration. In particular, the formation of lig…
We investigate the freeze-out conditions of a particle in an expanding system of interacting particles in order to understand the productions of resonances, hadronic molecules and light nuclei in heavy ion collisions. Applying the kinetic freeze-out condition with explicit hydrodynamic calculations for the expanding hadronic phase to the daughter particles of $K^*$ mesons, we find that the larger suppression of the yield ratio of $K^*/K$ at LHC than at RHIC compared to the expectations from the statistical hadronization model based on chemical freeze-out parameters reflects the lower kinetic f…
We explore the intensity correlations for thermal photons having $K_T\leq$ 2 GeV/$c$, for central collisions of heavy nuclei at RHIC and LHC energies. These photons get competing contributions from the quark and the hadronic phases. This competition gives rise to a unique structure, especially in the outward correlation function, due to the interference between the photons from the two sources. The temporal separation of the two sources provides the life time of the system and their strengths provide the relative contribution of the two phases. The results are found to be quite sensitive to th…
Collective monopole vibrations are studied in the framework of an antisymmetrized version of molecular dynamics as a function of the vibration amplitude. The giant monopole resonance energy in ${}^{40}Ca$ is sensitive to the incompressibility of the effective interaction, in good agreement with complete time-dependent Hartree-Fock calculations. The collective response of ${}^{12}C$, ${}^{16}O$ and ${}^{24}Mg$ is also studied. For these lighter nuclei that have an important contribution of an $α$-clustered component, different frequencies are observed, corresponding to two different types of vi…
In this article, we transform the previously-derived microscopic rotational-model Schrodinger equation into a form suitable for describing oscillations-coupled-to-intrinsic motion in spherical nuclei. The resulting equation is decomposed into two coupled cranking-type equations, one for the oscillation and another for the intrinsic motion, using a product wavefunction and a constrained variational method. The energy and cranking parameters in the coupled equations are self-consistently determined as functions of the system parameters by the solutions of the equations themselves. This self-cons…
We study radial oscillations in non-rotating neutron stars by considering the unified equation of states (EoSs), which support the 2 M$_\odot$ star criterion. We solve the Sturm-Liouville problem to compute 20 lowest radial oscillation modes and their eigenfunctions for neutron star modelled with eight selected unified EoSs from distinct Skyrme-Hartree Fock, Relativistic Mean-Field and quarkyonic models. We compare the behavior of the computed eigenfrequency for NS modelled with hadronic to that with quarkyonic EoSs while varying central densities. The lowest order, f-mode frequency varies sub…
The centrality dependence of the $p/π$ ratio measured by the ALICE Collaboration in 5.02 TeV Pb-Pb collisions indicates a statistically significant suppression with the increase of the charged particle multiplicity once the centrality-correlated part of the systematic uncertainty is eliminated from the data. We argue that this behavior can be attributed to baryon annihilation in the hadronic phase. By implementing the $B\bar{B} \leftrightarrow 5π$ reaction within a generalized partial chemical equilibrium framework, we estimate the annihilation freeze-out temperature at different centralities,…
We briefly outline the present state of the $n\bar{n}$ transition problem and analyse the recent manuscript of the Vladimir Kopeliovich (arXiv: 0912.5065).
We briefly outline the models of the $n\bar{n}$ transition in nuclei and analyse a well known calculation based on diagram technique published in 1992 and repeated recently by V. Kopeliovich and I. Potashnikova.
Recent high energy CERN LHC experiments on transverse momenta distributions of produced particles seem to show the existence of some (small but persistent) log-periodic oscillation in the ratios $R = σ_{data}\left( p_T\right)/σ_{fit}\left( p_T\right)$. We argue that they can provide us with so far unnoticed information on the production process, which can be interpreted as the presence of some kind of sound waves formed during the collision process in the bulk of the produced high density matter.
The shear modulus of neutron star matter is one of the important properties for determining torsional oscillations in neutron stars. We take into account the effects of finite sizes of spherical nuclei on the shear modulus and examine the frequencies of crustal torsional oscillations. The shear modulus decreases owing to the finite-size effect, which in turn decreases the frequencies of torsional oscillations. In particular, the finite-size effect becomes more crucial for oscillations with a larger azimuthal quantum number and for neutron star models with a weaker density dependence of nuclear…
We demonstrate that so called "infrared divergences" which have been discussed in some publications during several years, do not appear within the correct treatment of analytical properties of the transition amplitudes, in particular, of the second order pole structure of the amplitudes describing the $n - \bar n$ transition in nuclei. Explicit calculation with the help of the Feynman diagram technique shows that the neutron-antineutron oscillations are strongly suppressed in the deuteron, as well as in heavier nuclei, in comparison with the oscillations in vacuum. General advantages and some …
The interference of the $ρ^0$ and $ω$ mesons has been studied in the hadronic and leptonic decay channels, i.e., dipion and dilepton decay channels respectively, but this interference is not studied yet in the semihadronic or semileptonic decay channel, e.g., $V \to π^0γ$. $V$ denotes either $ρ^0$ or $ω$ meson. To look for the quoted interference in the $π^0γ$ decay channel as well as the contribution of $ρ$ meson to the cross section, the correlated $π^0γ$ invariant mass distribution spectra are calculated in the photonuclear reaction in the multi-GeV region. It is assumed that these bosons a…
The origin of weakly-bound nuclear clusters in hadronic collisions is a key question to be addressed by heavy-ion collision (HIC) experiments. The measured yields of clusters are approximately consistent with expectations from phenomenological statistical hadronisation models (SHMs), but a theoretical understanding of the dynamics of cluster formation prior to kinetic freeze out is lacking. The competing model is nuclear coalescence, which attributes cluster formation to the effect of final state interactions (FSI) during the propagation of the nuclei from kinetic freeze out to the observer. T…

We calculate for the first time the electric dipole moment (EDM) of the deuteron, $^3$H, and $^3$He nuclei generated by the one-meson exchange CP-odd nuclear force in the standard model. The effective $|ΔS| = 1$ four-quark operators are matched to the $|ΔS| = 1$ standard model processes involving the CP phase of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix at the electroweak scale and run down to the hadronic scale $μ= 1$ GeV according to the renormalization group evolution in the next-to-leading logarithmic order. At the hadronic scale, the hadron matrix elements are modeled in the factorization appr…
In high energy nuclear collisions, production rates of light nuclei agree with the predictions of an ideal gas at a temperature $T=155 \pm 10$ MeV. In an equilibrium hadronic medium of this temperature, light nuclei cannot survive. In this contribution, we suggest that the observed behavior is due to an evolution in global non-equilibrium, leading to self-organized criticality and to hadron formation as an absorbing state phase transition for color degrees of freedom. At the confinement point, the initial quark-gluon medium becomes quenched by the vacuum, breaking up into all allowed free hadr…
The $α$ cluster states are discussed in a model frame of extended quantum molecular dynamics. Different alpha cluster structures are studied in details, such as $^8$Be two-$α$ cluster structure, $^{12}$C triangle structure, $^{12}$C chain structure, $^{16}$O chain structure, $^{16}$O kite structure, and $^{16}$O square structure. The properties studied, include as the width of wave packets for different $α$ clusters, momentum distribution, and the binding energy among $α$ clusters. It is also discussed how the $α$ cluster degree of freedom affects nuclear collective vibrations. The cluster con…
Using a transport model that includes a first-order chiral phase transition between the partonic and the hadronic matter, we study the development of density fluctuations in the matter produced in heavy ion collisions as it undergoes the phase transition, and their time evolution in later hadronic stage of the collisions. Using the coalescence model to describe the production of deuterons and tritons from nucleons at the kinetic freeze out, we find that the yield ratio $ N_\text{t}N_\text{p}/ N_\text{d}^2$, where $N_\text{p}$, $N_\text{d}$, and $N_\text{t}$ are, respectively, the proton, deute…
We present evidence for small oscillations we observe in electron-positron and proton-antiproton annihilation data, with a periodicity of 76+-2 MeV, independent of the beam energy. We discuss some possible scenarios to explain the phenomenon.
Based on an improved multiphase transport (AMPT) model, which gives a good description of proton production with a smooth quark matter to hadronic matter transition in relativistic heavy ion collisions, we study deuteron and triton production from the coalescence of nucleons at the kinetic freezeout of these collisions. For Au+Au collisions at center-of-mass energies $\sqrt{s_\text{NN}}$ from 7.7 GeV to 200 GeV available at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC), we find that the yield ratio $N_\text{t}N_\text{p}/N_\text{d}^2$ of proton, deuteron\com{,} and triton is essentially a constant…
There exist model calculations showing the modification of the hadronic parameters of $ρ$ meson in the nuclear environment. From these parameters, we extract the $ρ$ meson nucleus optical potential and show the medium effect due to this potential on the $ρ$ meson mass distribution spectra in the photonuclear reaction. The calculated results reproduced reasonably the measured $e^+e^-$ invariant mass, i.e., $ρ$ meson mass, distribution spectra in the $( γ, ρ^0 \to e^+e^- )$ reaction on nuclei.
The scattering of identical nuclei at low energies exhibits conspicuous Mott oscillations which can be used to investigate the presence of components in the predominantly Coulomb interaction arising from several physical effects. It is found that at a certain critical value of the Sommerfeld parameter the Mott oscillations disappear and the cross section becomes quite flat. We call this effect Transverse Isotropy (TI). The critical value of the Sommerfeld parameter at which TI sets in is found to be $η_{c} = \sqrt{3s +2}$, where $s$ is the spin of the nuclei participating in the scattering. No…
The values of the antineutron-nucleus scattering lengths, and in particular their imaginary parts, are needed to evaluate the feasibility of using neutron mirrors in laboratory experiments to search for neutron-antineutron oscillations. We analyze existing experimental and theoretical constraints on these values with emphasis on low $A$ nuclei and use the results to suggest materials for the neutron/antineutron guide and to evaluate the systematic uncertainties in estimating the neutron-antineutron oscillation time. As an example we discuss a scenario for a future neutron-antineutron oscillati…
