The problem of classification of the Einstein--Friedman cosmological Hamiltonians $H$ with a single scalar inflaton field $φ$ that possess an additional integral of motion polynomial in momenta on the shell of the Friedman constraint $H=0$ is considered. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of first, second, and third degree integrals are derived. These conditions have the form of ODEs for the cosmological potential $V(φ)$. In the case of linear and quadratic integrals we find general solutions of the ODEs and construct the corresponding integrals explicitly. A new wide class of Hamiltonians that possess a cubic integral is derived. The corresponding potentials are represented in a parametric form in terms of the associated Legendre functions. Six families of special elementary solutions are described and sporadic superintegrable cases are discussed.
A cosmological model with van der Waals gas and dust has been studied in the context of a three-component autonomous non-linear dynamical system involving the time evolution of the particle number density, the Hubble parameter and the temperature. Due to the presence of a symmetry of the model, the temperature evolution law is determined (in terms of the particle number density) and with this the dynamical system reduces to a two-component one which is fully integrable. The globally conserved Hamiltonian is identified and, in addition to it, some special (second) integrals, defined and conserv…
It is shown that the Ablowitz-Kaup-Newell-Segur (AKNS) integrable hierarchy can be obtained as the dynamical equations of three-dimensional General Relativity with a negative cosmological constant. This geometrization of the AKNS system is possible through the construction of novel boundary conditions for the gravitational field. These are invariant under an asymptotic symmetry group characterized by an infinite set of AKNS commuting conserved charges. Gravitational configurations are studied by means of $SL(2,\mathbb{R})$ conjugacy classes. Conical singularities and black hole solutions are i…
We elaborate on integrable dynamical systems from scalar-gravity Lagrangians that include the leading dilaton tadpole potentials of broken supersymmetry. In the static Dudas-Mourad compactifications from ten to nine dimensions, which rest on these leading potentials, the string coupling and the space-time curvature become unbounded in some regions of the internal space. On the other hand, the string coupling remains bounded in several corresponding solutions of these integrable models. One can thus identify corrected potential shapes that could grant these features generically when supersymmet…
We show that the tree dimensional Einstein vacuum field equations with cosmological constant are integrable. Using the $sl(2,R)$ valued soliton connections we obtain the metric of the spacetime in terms of the dynamical variables of the integrable nonlinear partial differential equations.
We present a new set of boundary conditions for General Relativity on AdS$_3$, where the dynamics of the boundary degrees of freedom are described by two independent left and right members of the Gardner hierarchy of integrable equations, also known as the "mixed KdV-mKdV" hierarchy. This integrable system has the very special property that simultaneously combines both, the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) and modified Korteweg-de Vries (mKdV) hierarchies in a single integrable structure. This relationship between gravitation in three-dimensional spacetimes and two-dimensional integrable systems is bas…
