On minimal distance between q-ary bent functions

The minimal Hamming distance between distinct $p$-ary bent functions of $2n$ variables is proved to be $p^n$ for any prime $p$. It is shown that the number of $p$-ary bent functions at the distance $p^n$ from the quadratic bent function is equal to $p^n(p^{n-1}+1)\cdots(p+1)(p-1)$ as $p>2$.

Our main result is a generalized Dillon-type theorem, giving graph-theoretic conditions which guarantee that a $p$-ary function in an even number of variables is bent, for $p$ a prime number greater than 2. New nonexistence results on $(m,n)$-generalized bent functions

In this paper, we present some new nonexistence results on $(m,n)$-generalized bent functions, which improved recent results. More precisely, we derive new nonexistence results for general $n$ and $m$ odd or $m \equiv 2 \pmod{4}$, and further explicitly prove nonexistence of $(m,3)$-generalized bent functions for all integers $m$ odd or $m \equiv 2 \pmod{4}$. The main tools we utilized are certain exponents of minimal vanishing sums from applying characters to group ring equations that characterize $(m,n)$-generalized bent functions.
