Doubly special relativity (DSR) is an effective model for encoding quantum gravity in flat spacetime. To incorporate DSR into general relativity, one could use "Gravity's rainbow", where the spacetime background felt by a test particle would depend on its energy. In this scenario, one could rewrite the rainbow metric $g_{μν}\left( E\right) $ in terms of some orthonormal frame fields and use the modified equivalence principle to determine the energy dependence of $g_{μν}\left( E\right) $. Obviously, the form of $g_{μν}\left( E\right) $ depends on the choice of the orthonormal frame. For a static black hole, there are two natural orthonormal frames, the static one hovering above it and freely falling one along geodesics. The cases with the static orthonormal frame have been extensively studied by many authors. The aim of this paper is to investigate properties of rainbow black holes in the scenario with the free-fall orthonormal frame. We first derive the metric of rainbow black holes and their Hawking temperatures in this free-fall scenario. Then, the thermodynamics of a rainbow Schwarzschild black hole is studied. Finally, we use the brick wall model to compute the thermal entropy of a massless scalar field near the horizon of a Schwarzschild rainbow black hole in this free-fall scenario.
In this paper, we investigate the thermodynamic properties of the RN-AdS black hole with cloud of strings and quintessence in rainbow gravity with the stationary (ST) orthonormal frame and the free-fall (FF) orthonormal frame. After the SF and the FF rainbow metric is obtained, we get the Hawking temperature and the entropy, and their physical meanings are discussed. We find that, for the ST rainbow RN-AdS black hole with cloud of strings and quintessence, the effect of rainbow gravity is to increase the Hawking temperature but decrease the entropy of the black hole. However, for the FF rainbo…
On gravity's rainbow, the energy of particles affects the geometry of black hole in such a way that the Hawking temperature of black hole is appropriately modified. It means that the fiducial and free-fall temperatures on the background of black hole should also be modified according to deformation of the geometry. We find that the fiducial temperature takes the blue-shifted modified Hawking temperature so that it is divergent at the horizon, while the free-fall temperature defined by employing the thermodynamic Stefan-Boltzmann relation on gravity's rainbow is finite everywhere without the bl…
Doubly special relativity (DSR) is an effective model for encoding quantum gravity in flat spacetime. To incorporate DSR into general relativity, one could use gravity's rainbow, where the spacetime background felt by a test particle would depend on its energy. In this paper, we investigate the thermodynamics of rainbow Kerr black hole in the scenario with the stationary(ST) orthonormal frame and free-fall(FF) orthonormal frame. After the rainbow metric in ST frame and FF frame is deduced, the Hamilton-Jacobi method is used to acquire the modified Hawking temperature, specific heat and corresp…
We obtain a (5+1)-dimensional global flat embedding of modified Schwarzschild black hole in rainbow gravity. We show that local free-fall temperature in rainbow gravity, which depends on different energy $ω$ of a test particle, is finite at the event horizon for a freely falling observer, while local temperature is divergent at the event horizon for a fiducial observer. Moreover, these temperatures in rainbow gravity satisfy similar relations to those of the Schwarzschild black hole except overall factor $g(ω)$, which plays a key role of rainbow functions in this embedding approach.

For a black hole, there are two natural orthonormal frames, the stationary one hovering above it and freely falling one along geodesics. Since the rainbow metric is the metric that the radiated particles "see", a more natural orthonormal frame is the one anchored to the particles. And the cases with the stationary orthonormal frame ha…
To see how the gravity's rainbow works for black hole complementary, we evaluate the required energy for duplication of information in the context of black hole complementarity by calculating the critical value of the rainbow parameter in the certain class of the rainbow Schwarzschild black hole. The resultant energy can be written as the well-defined limit for the vanishing rainbow parameter which characterizes the deformation of the relativistic dispersion relation in the freely falling frame. It shows that the duplication of information in quantum mechanics could not be allowed below a cert…
In this paper, we investigate the thermodynamic properties of black holes in the framework of rainbow gravity. By considering rainbow functions in the metric of Schwarzschild and Reissner-Nordström black holes, remnant and critical masses are found to exist. Demanding the universality of logarithmic corrections to the semi-classical area law for the entropy leads to constraining the form of the rainbow functions. The mass output and the radiation rate for these constrained form of rainbow functions have been computed for different values of the rainbow parameter $η$ and have striking similarit…
The energy of a particle moving on a spacetime, in principle, can affect the background metric. The modifications to it depend on the ratio of energy of the particle and the Planck energy, known as rainbow gravity. Here we find the explicit expressions for the coordinate transformations from rainbow Minkowski spacetime to accelerated frame. The corresponding metric is also obtained which we call as rainbow-Rindler metric. So far we are aware of, no body has done it in a concrete manner. Here this is found from the first principle and hence all the parameters are properly identified. The advant…
In this paper, we will analyze the gravitational collapse in the framework of gravity's rainbow. We will demonstrate that the position of the horizon for a particle inside the black hole depends on the energy of that particle. It will also be observe that the position of the horizon for a particle falling radially into the black hole also depends on its energy. Thus, it is possible for a particle coming from outside to interact with a particle inside the black, and take some information outside the black hole. This is because for both these particles the position of horizon is different. So, e…
We explore a scenario of the general relativity determined by the framework of the rainbow gravity with the purpose of searching for analogues of the Aharonov-Bohm effect. By focusing on the confinement of the Dirac field and the scalar field to a hard-wall confining potential in a modified background of the cosmic string spacetime, we examine the effects of the rainbow gravity and the topology of the cosmic string spacetime. Then, we compare each spectrum of energy with the cases where the rainbow gravity is absent.
In this paper, we study the various cylindrical solutions (cosmic strings) in gravity's rainbow scenario. In particular, we calculate the gravitational field equations corresponding to energy-dependent background. Further, we discuss the possible Kasner, quasi-Kasner and non-Kasner exact solutions of the field equations. In this framework, we find that quasi-Kasner solutions can not be realized in gravity's rainbow. Assuming only time-dependent metric functions, we also analyse the time-dependent vacuum cosmic strings in gravity's rainbow, which are completely different than the other GR solut…
We consider the effects of rotations on the calculation of some thermodynamical quantities like the free energy, internal energy and entropy. In ordinary gravity, when we evaluate the density of states of a scalar field close to a black hole horizon, we obtain a divergent result which can be kept under control with the help of some standard regularization and renormalization processes. We show that when we use the Gravity's Rainbow approach such regularization/renormalization processes can be avoided. A comparison between the calculation done in an inertial frame and in a comoving frame is pre…
In this paper, we investigate the effect of Planckian deformation of quantum gravity on the production of black holes at colliders using the framework of gravity's rainbow. We demonstrate that a black hole remnant exists for Schwarzschild black holes in higher dimensions using gravity's rainbow. The mass of this remnant is found to be greater than the energy scale at which experiments were performed at the LHC. We propose this as a possible explanation for the absence of black holes at the LHC. Furthermore, we demonstrate that it is possible for black holes in six (and higher) dimensions to be…
Doubly special relativity (DSR) is an effective model for encoding quantum gravity in flat spacetime. As a result of the nonlinearity of the Lorentz transformation, the energy-momentum dispersion relation is modified. One simple way to import DSR to curved spacetime is \textquotedblleft Gravity's rainbow", where the spacetime background felt by a test particle would depend on its energy. Focusing on the \textquotedblleft Amelino-Camelia dispersion relation" which is $E^{2}=m^{2}+p^{2}\left[ 1-η\left( E/m_{p}\right) ^{n}\right] $ with $n>0$, we investigate the thermodynamical properties of a Sc…
We re-examine a recently proposed scenario where the deformed dispersion relations associated with a flow of the spectral dimension to a UV value of 2 leads to a scale-invariant spectrum of cosmological fluctuations, without the need for inflation. In that scenario Einstein gravity was assumed. The theory displays a wavelength-dependent speed of light but by transforming to a suitable "rainbow frame" this feature can be removed, at the expense of modifying gravity. We find that the ensuing rainbow gravity theory is such that gravity switches off at high energy (or at least leads to a universal…
Occurrence of spacetime singularities is one of the peculiar features of Einstein gravity, signalling limitation on probing short distances in spacetime. This alludes to the existence of a fundamental length scale in nature. On contrary, Heisenberg quantum uncertainty relation seems to allow for probing arbitrarily small length scales. To reconcile these two conflicting ideas in line with a well known framework of quantum gravity, several modifications of Heisenberg algebra have been proposed. However, it has been extensively argued that such a minimum length would introduce nonlocality in the…
The doubly special relativity (DSR) theories are investigated in order to take into account an observer-independent length scale in special relativity framework. It is widely believed that any quantum theory of gravity would reduce to a DSR model at the flat limit when purely gravitational and quantum mechanical effects are negligible. Gravity's rainbow is a simple generalization of DSR theories to incorporate gravity. In this paper, we show that the effective Friedmann equations that are suggested by loop quantum cosmology (LQC) can be exactly reobtained in rainbow cosmology setup. The deform…
We do a detailed study of the thermodynamics of black holes in Rainbow gravity in the framework of the Kiselev metric, taking into account different cosmic fluids which can mimic several kinds of dark energy scenarios. A discussion related to the appearance of black hole remnants is presented and, unlike other studies on the same topic, we found no evidence of the appearance of remnants in Rainbow gravity, except in peculiar cases.
Using a one-dimensional minisuperspace model with a dimensionless ratio $\frac{E}{E_{Pl}}$, we study the initial singularity problem at the quantum level for the closed rainbow cosmology with a homogeneous, isotropic classical space-time background. We derive the classical Hamiltonian within the framework of Schutz's formalism for an ideal fluid with a cosmological constant. We characterize the behavior of the system at the early stages of the universe evolution through analyzing the relevant shapes for the potential sector of the classical Hamiltonian for various matter sources, each separate…
In this letter, using the rainbow functions that were proposed by Magueijo and Smolin, we investigate the thermodynamics and the phase transition of rainbow Schwarzschild black hole. First, we calculate the rainbow gravity corrected Hawking temperature. From this modification, we then derive the local temperature, free energy, and other thermodynamic quantities in an isothermal cavity. Finally, we analyze the critical behavior, thermodynamic stability, and phase transition of the rainbow Schwarzschild black hole. The results show that the rainbow gravity can stop the Hawking radiation in the f…
We analyze the electrostatic self-energy of a point like electrically charged particle induced by a cosmic string in the context of gravity's rainbow, as well the electrostatic self-force on this particle. The possibility of the solution associated with a charged particle to be altered by modifications in dispersion relations of the space-time is discussed. We show that the self-energy depends on the rainbow functions and that this quantity can either increase or decrease depending on the rainbow function chosen, as compared with analogous result in the framework of general relativity. With re…
We consider the effects of Gravity's Rainbow on the computation of black hole entropy using a dynamical brick wall model. An explicit dependence of the radial coordinate approaching the horizon is proposed to analyze the behavior of the divergence. We find that, due to the modification of the density of states, the brick wall can be eliminated. The calculation is extended to include rotations and in particular to a Kerr black hole in a comoving frame.
Isotropic quantum cosmological perfect fluid model is studied in the formalism of Rainbow gravity. It is found that the only surviving matter degree of freedom played the role of cosmic time. It is possible to find the wave packet naturally with a suitable choice of the Rainbow functions which resulted from the superposition of the wave functions of the Schr$\ddot{o}$dinger-Wheeler-deWitt equation. The many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics is applied to investigate the behavior of the scale factor and the behaviour is found to depend on the operator ordering. It is shown that the mod…
We consider the effects of Distorted Gravity on the traversability of the wormholes. In particular, we consider configurations which are sustained by their own gravitational quantum fluctuations. The Ultra-Violet divergences appearing to one loop are taken under control with the help of a Noncommutative geometry representation and Gravity's Rainbow. In this context, it will be shown that for every framework, the self-sustained equation will produce a Wheeler wormhole, namely a wormhole of Planckian size. This means that, from the point of view of traversability, the wormhole will be traversabl…
A modified (Anti-)de Sitter Schwarzschild black hole solution is presented in the framework of rainbow gravity with a cosmological constant. Its thermodynamical properties are investigated. In general the temperature of modified black holes is dependent on the energy of probes which take the measurement. However, a notion of intrinsic temperature can be introduced by identifying these probes with radiation particles emitted from black holes. It is interesting to find that the Hawking temperature of this sort of black holes can be reproduced by employing the extended uncertainty principle and m…
The formalism of rainbow gravity is studied in a cosmological setting. We consider the very early universe which is radiation dominated. A novel treatment in our paper is to look for an ``averaged'' cosmological metric probed by radiation particles themselves. Taking their cosmological evolution into account, we derive the modified Friedmann-Robertson-Walker(FRW) equations which is a generalization of the solution presented by Magueijo and Smolin. Based on this phenomenological cosmological model we argue that the spacetime curvature has an upper bound such that the cosmological singularity is…
In the literature, there are several papers establishing a correspondence between a deformed kinematics and a nontrivial (momentum dependent) metric. In this work, we study in detail the relationship between the trajectories given by a deformed Hamiltonian and the geodesic motion obtained from a geometry in the cotangent bundle, finding that both trajectories coincide when the Hamiltonian is identified with the squared distance in momentum space. Moreover, following the natural structure of the cotangent bundle geometry, we construct the space-time curvature tensor, from which we obtain genera…
In this paper, we investigate the thermodynamic properties of Reissner-Nordström black holes embedded in higher $(d)$ dimensions in the framework of rainbow gravity incorporating the effects of the generalized uncertainty principle. We also examine all the properties graphically by varying the rainbow gravity parameter $η$ and the generalized uncertainty principle parameter $α$. We find the existence of remnant and critical mass of the concerned black hole. We calculate the local temperature, local internal energy and hence we analyse the thermal stability of the black hole by computing the lo…
In this work, we have investigated anisotropic neutron stars in the framework of Rastall-Rainbow gravity. All our calculations were computed using the IU-FSU realistic equation of state (EoS), in which was considered two cases: standard nucleonic composition and the one with the eight lightest baryons. From the neutron star masses and radii obtained we conclude that anisotropic pressure has significant consequences on the structure of stellar objects. In particular, when anisotropy is considered within the general relativity framework, it significantly modifies the maximum stellar mass. On the…
Planck scale corrections arising from deformed special relativity on Hawking radiation in Parikh and Wilczk's tunneling framework are studied. We calculate the emission rate of massless particles tunneling though the corrected horizon of modified black holes from gravity's rainbow. In the tunneling process, when a particle get across the quantum horizon, the metric fluctuation not only due to the energy conservation but also quantum effects of the space-time are taken into account. Our results show that, the emission rate is related to the changes of the black hole's quantum corrected entropy …
It is possible to dualize theories based on deformed dispersion relations and Einstein gravity so as to map them into theories with trivial dispersion relations and rainbow gravity. This often leads to "dual inflation" without the usual breaking of the strong energy condition. We identify the dispersion relations in the original frame which map into "intermediate" inflationary models. These turn out to be particularly simple: power-laws modulated by powers of a logarithm. The fluctuations predicted by these scenarios are near, but not exactly scale-invariant, with a red running spectral index.…
We modify the standard relativistic dispersion relation in a way which breaks Lorentz symmetry - the effect is predicted in a high-energy regime of some modern theories of quantum gravity. We show that it is possible to realise this scenario within the framework of Rainbow Gravity which introduces two new energy-dependent functions $f_1(E)$ and $f_2(E)$ into the dispersion relation. Additionally, we assume that the gravitational constant $G$ and the cosmological constant $Λ$ also depend on energy $E$ and introduce the scaling function $h(E)$ in order to express this dependence. For cosmologica…
The existence of a minimum time uncertainty is usually argued to be a consequence of the combination of quantum mechanics and general relativity. Most of the studies that point to this result are nonetheless based on perturbative quantization approaches, in which the effect of matter on the geometry is regarded as a correction to a classical background. In this paper, we consider rainbow spacetimes constructed from doubly special relativity by using a modification of the proposals of Magueijo and Smolin. In these models, gravitational effects are incorporated (at least to a certain extent) in …
The linear relation between the entropy and area of a black hole can be derived from the Heisenberg principle, the energy-momentum dispersion relation of special relativity, and general considerations about black holes. There exist results in quantum gravity and related contexts suggesting the modification of the usual dispersion relation and uncertainty principle. One of these contexts is the gravity's rainbow formalism. We analyze the consequences of such a modification for black hole thermodynamics from the perspective of two distinct rainbow realizations built from doubly special relativit…
Non-linear special relativity (or doubly special relativity) is a simple framework for encoding properties of flat quantum space-time. In this paper we show how this formalism may be generalized to incorporate curvature (leading to what might be called ``doubly general relativity''). We first propose a dual to non-linear realizations of relativity in momentum space, and show that for such a dual the space-time invariant is an energy-dependent metric. This leads to an energy-dependent connection and curvature, and a simple modification to Einstein's equations. We then examine solutions to these…
We obtain a (5+1)-dimensional global flat embedding of the Gibbons-Maeda-Garfinkle-Horowitz-Strominger spacetime in Einstein frame, and a (5+2)-dimensional global flat embedding in string frame. We show that the local free-fall temperatures for freely falling observers in each frames are finite at the event horizons, while the local temperatures for fiducial observers are divergent. We also observe that the local free-fall temperatures differ between the two frames.
It is commonly accepted that the combination of quantum mechanics and general relativity gives rise to the emergence of a minimum uncertainty both in space and time. The arguments that support this conclusion are mainly based on perturbative approaches to the quantization, in which the gravitational interactions of the matter content are described as corrections to a classical background. In a recent paper, we analyzed the existence of a minimum time uncertainty in the framework of doubly special relativity. In this framework, the standard definition of the energy-momentum of particles is modi…
We compute the black hole horizon entanglement entropy S_E for a massless scalar field, first with a hard cutoff and then with high frequency dispersion, both imposed in a frame that falls freely across the horizon. Using WKB methods, we find that S_E is finite for a hard cutoff or super-luminal dispersion, because the mode oscillations do not diverge at the horizon and the contribution of high transverse momenta is cut off by the angular momentum barrier. For sub-luminal dispersion the entropy depends on the behavior at arbitrarily high transverse momenta. In all cases it scales with the hori…
We find radiation in an infalling frame and present an explicit analytic evidence of the failure of no drama condition by showing that an infalling observer finds an infinite negative energy density at the event horizon. The negative and positive energy density regions are divided by the newly defined zero-energy curve. The evaporating black hole is surrounded by the negative energy which can also be observed in the infalling frame.
Due to the exponential high gravitational red shift near the event horizon of a black hole, it might appear that the Hawking radiation would be highly sensitive to some unknown high energy physics. To study effects of any unknown physics at the Planck scale on the Hawking radiation, the dispersive field theory models have been proposed, which are variations of Unruh's sonic black hole analogy. In this paper, we use the Hamilton-Jacobi method to investigate the dispersive field theory models. The preferred frame is the free-fall frame of the black hole. The dispersion relation adopted agrees wi…
Two observers determine the entanglement between two free bosonic modes by each detecting one of the modes and observing the correlations between their measurements. We show that a state which is maximally entangled in an inertial frame becomes less entangled if the observers are relatively accelerated. This phenomenon, which is a consequence of the Unruh effect, shows that entanglement is an observer-dependent quantity in non-inertial frames. In the high acceleration limit, our results can be applied to a non-accelerated observer falling into a black hole while the accelerated one barely esca…
It is well-known that the Riemann curvature tensor has no discontinuity at the black hole horizon. It is also well-known that a freely falling observer takes finite time to reach the horizon from an outside point. However, the usual assumption is that such an observer resides in a frame of reference (spaceship) of infinitesimal size. This assumption is justified as long as the coordinates are continuous enough to assume that the observer's frame is small compared to the variations of the metric from a local flat metric. Such an assumption may be invalid when the coordinate system has not only …
