Partial Category Actions on Sets and Topological Spaces

We introduce (continuous) partial category actions on sets (topological spaces) and show that each such action admits a universal globalization. Thereby, we obtain a simultaneous generalization of corresponding results for groups, by Kellendonk and Lawson, and for monoids, by Megrelishvili and Schroder. We apply this result to the special case of partial groupoid actions where we obtain a sharpening of a result by Gilbert, concerning ordered groupoids, in the sense that mediating functions between universal globalizations always are injective.

In this work, the notion of partial representation of a Hopf algebra is introduced and its relationship with partial actions of Hopf algebras is explored. On the levels of maps and topological realization of objects in a triangulated category

The level of a module over a differential graded algebra measures the number of steps required to build the module in an appropriate triangulated category. Based on this notion, we introduce a new homotopy invariant of spaces over a fixed space, called the level of a map. Families of algebraic varieties parametrized by topological spaces

We study families of algebraic varieties parametrized by topological spaces and generalize some classical results such as Hilbert Nullstellensatz and primary decomposition of commutative rings. We show that there is an equivalence between the category of bivariant coherent sheaves and the category of sheaves of finitely generated modules.

A note on the singularity category of an endomorphism ring

We propose the notion of partial resolution of a ring, which is by definition the endomorphism ring of a certain generator of the given ring. We prove that the singularity category of the partial resolution is a quotient of the singularity category of the given ring. Consequences and examples are given.

Dilations of partial representations of Hopf algebras
