Association schemes in which the thin residue is an elementary abelian $p$-group of rank $2$

On some $p$-transitive association schemes

In this paper, for any prime $p$, we propose the notion of a $p$-transitive association scheme. This notion aims to generalize the fact that the regular module of a group algebra of a finite group has a unique trivial submodule to the case of the regular modules of modular adjacency algebras. We completely determine the $p$-transitive quasi-thin association schemes and the $p$-transitive association schemes with thin thin residue by their structure theory properties.

On quasi-thin association schemes

An association scheme is called quasi-thin if the valency of each its basic relation is one or two. A quasi-thin scheme is Kleinian if the thin residue of it forms a Klein group with respect to the relation product. It is proved that any Kleinian scheme arises from near-pencil on~$3$ points, or affine or projective plane of order~$2$. Amorphic association schemes with negative Latin square type graphs

Applying results from partial difference sets, quadratic forms, and recent results of Brouwer and Van Dam, we construct the first known amorphic association scheme with negative Latin square type graphs and whose underlying set is a non-elementary abelian 2-group. We give a simple proof of a result of Hamilton that generalizes Brouwer's result. We use multiple distinct quadratic forms to construct amorphic association schemes with a large number of classes.

Two-valenced association schemes and the Desargues theorem

The main goal of the paper is to establish a sufficient condition for a two-valenced association scheme to be schurian and separable. To this end, an analog of the Desargues theorem is introduced for a noncommutative geometry defined by the scheme in question. It turns out that if the geometry has enough many Desarguesian configurations, then under a technical condition the scheme is schurian and separable. Orbits of pairs in abelian groups

We compute the number of orbits of pairs in a finitely generated torsion module (more generally, a module of bounded order) over a discrete valuation ring. The answer is found to be a polynomial in the cardinality of the residue field whose coefficients are integers which depend only on the elementary divisors of the module, and not on the ring in question. The coefficients of these polynomials are conjectured to be non-negative integers.
