We consider isospectral deformations of quantum field theories by using the novel construction tool of warped convolutions. The deformation enables us to obtain a variety of models that are wedge-local and have nontrivial scattering matrices.
We study deformations of the quantum conformal mechanics of De Alfaro-Fubini-Furlan with rational additional potential term generated by applying the generalized Darboux-Crum-Krein-Adler transformations to the quantum harmonic oscillator and by using the method of dual schemes and mirror diagrams. In this way we obtain infinite families of isospectral and non-isospectral deformations of the conformal mechanics model with special values of the coupling constant $g=m(m+1)$, $m\in {\mathbb N}$, in the inverse square potential term, and for each completely isospectral or gapped deformation given b…
The isospectral deformations of the Frobenius-Stickelberger-Thiele (FST) polynomials introduced in [32](Spiridonov et al. Commun. Math. Phys. 272:139--165, 2007 ) are studied. For a specific choice of the deformation of the spectral measure, one is led to an integrable lattice (FST lattice), which is indeed an isospectral flow connected with a generalized eigenvalue problem. In the second part of the paper the spectral problem used previously in the study of the modified Camassa-Holm (mCH) peakon lattice is interpreted in terms of the FST polynomials together with the associated FST polynomial…
We extend the approach to $τ$-functions as Widom constants developed by Cafasso, Gavrylenko and Lisovyy to orthogonal loop group Drinfeld-Sokolov hierarchies and isomonodromic deformations systems. The combinatorial expansion of the $τ$-function as a sum of correlators, each expressed as products of finite determinants, follows from using multicomponent fermionic vacuum expectation values of certain dressing operators encoding the initial conditions and the dependence on the flow (or deformation) parameters. When reduced to the orthogonal case, these correlators become finite Pfaffians and the…
Algebraic quantum field theory is considered from the perspective of the Hochschild cohomology bicomplex. This is a framework for studying deformations and symmetries. Deformation is a possible approach to the fundamental challenge of constructing interacting QFT models. Symmetry is the primary tool for understanding the structure and properties of a QFT model. This perspective leads to a generalization of the algebraic quantum field theory framework, as well as a more general definition of symmetry. This means that some models may have symmetries that were not previously recognized or exploit…

We consider inner deformations of families of $A_\infty$-algebras. With the help of noncommutative Cartan's calculus, we prove the invariance of Hochschild (co)homology under inner deformations. The invariance also holds for cyclic cohomology classes that satisfy some additional conditions. Applications to dg-algebras and QFT problems are briefly discussed.
We study solutions of the Thermodynamic Bethe Ansatz equations for relativistic theories defined by the factorizable $S$-matrix of an integrable QFT deformed by CDD factors. Such $S$-matrices appear under generalized TTbar deformations of integrable QFT by special irrelevant operators. The TBA equations, of course, determine the ground state energy $E(R)$ of the finite-size system, with the spatial coordinate compactified on a circle of circumference $R$. We limit attention to theories involving just one kind of stable particles, and consider deformations of the trivial (free fermion or boson)…
't Hooft anomalies of quantum field theories (QFTs) with an invertible global symmetry G (including spacetime and internal symmetries) in a $d$d spacetime are known to be classified by a $d+1$d cobordism group TP$_{d+1}$(G), whose group generator is a $d+1$d cobordism invariant written as an invertible topological field theory (iTFT) Z$_{d+1}$. The deformation class of QFT is recently proposed to be specified by its symmetry G and an iTFT Z$_{d+1}$. Seemingly different QFTs of the same deformation class can be deformed to each other via quantum phase transitions. In this work, we ask which def…
The framework of perturbative algebraic quantum field theory (pAQFT) is used to construct QFT models on causal sets. We discuss various discretised wave operators, including a new proposal based on the idea of a `preferred past', which we also introduce, and show how they may be used to construct classical free and interacting field theory models on a fixed causal set; additionally, we describe how the sensitivity of observables to changes in the background causal set may be encapsulated in a relative Cauchy evolution. These structures are used as the basis of a deformation quantization, using…
