Supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model open up the possibility for new types of CP-violation. We consider the case of the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model where, beyond the phases from the soft lagrangian, CP-violation could enter the Higgs sector directly at tree-level through complex parameters in the superpotential. We develop a series of Fortran subroutines, cast within the public tool NMSSMTools and allowing for a phenomenological analysis of the CP-violating NMSSM. This new tool performs the computation of the masses and couplings of the various new physics states in this model: leading corrections to the sparticle masses are included; the precision for the Higgs masses and couplings reaches the full one-loop and leading two-loop order. The two-body Higgs and top decays are also attended. We use the public tools HiggsBounds and HiggsSignals to test the Higgs sector. Additional subroutines check the viability of the sparticle spectrum in view of LEP-limits and constrain the phases of the model via a confrontation to the experimentally measured Electric Dipole Moments. These tools will be made publicly available in the near future. In this paper, we detail the workings of our code and illustrate its use via a comparison with existing results. We also consider some consequences of CP-violation for the NMSSM Higgs sector.
The Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (NMSSM) features extra new sources for CP violation. In contrast to the MSSM CP violation can already occur at tree level in the Higgs sector. We investigate the range of possible allowed CP-violating phases by taking into account the constraints arising from the measurements of the Electric Dipole Moments (EDMs) and the latest LHC Higgs data. Our analysis shows that large CP-violating phases, that are NMSSM-specific, are not in conflict with the EDMs. They are dominantly constrained by the Higgs data in this case. We use our r…
We consider spontaneous CP violation in the Next to Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, without the usual $Z_3$ discrete symmetry. CP violation can occur at tree level, raising a potential conflict with the experimental bounds on the electric dipole moments of the electron and neutron. One escape from this is to demand that the CP violating angles are small, but we find that this entails a light neutral Higgs particle. This is almost pseudoscalar, can have a high singlet content, and will be hard to detect experimentally.
We discuss the automatised calculation of the Higgs mass in renormalisable supersymmetric models with complex parameters at the two-loop level. Our setup is based on the public codes SARAH and SPheno, which can now compute the two-loop corrections to masses of all neutral scalars in such theories. The generic ansatz for these calculations and the handling of the `Goldstone Boson catastrophe' is described. It is shown that we find perfect agreement with other existing two-loop calculations performed in the DR-bar scheme. We also use the functionality to derive results for the MSSM and NMSSM not…
We provide the two-loop corrections to the Higgs boson masses of the CP-violating NMSSM in the Feynman diagrammatic approach with vanishing external momentum at ${\cal O} (α_t α_s)$. The adopted renormalization scheme is a mixture between $\overline{\text{DR}}$ and on-shell conditions. Additionally, the renormalization of the top/stop sector is provided both for the $\overline{\text{DR}}$ and the on-shell scheme. The calculation is performed in the gaugeless limit. We find that the two-loop corrections compared to the one-loop corrections are of the order of 5-10\%, depending on the top/stop r…
We present our calculation of the two-loop corrections of ${\cal O}(α_t^2)$ to the neutral Higgs boson masses of the CP-violating Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (NMSSM). The calculation is performed in the Feynman diagrammatic approach in the gaugeless limit at vanishing external momentum. We apply a mixed $\overline{\mathrm{DR}}$-on-shell (OS) renormalization scheme for the NMSSM input parameters. Furthermore, we exploit a $\overline{\mathrm{DR}}$ as well as an OS renormalization in the top/stop sector. The corrections are implemented in the Fortran code NMSSMC…
We present our computation of the ${\cal O}((α_t+α_λ+α_κ)^2)$ two-loop corrections to the Higgs boson masses of the CP-violating Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM) using the Feynman-diagrammatic approach in the gaugeless limit at vanishing external momentum. We choose a mixed $\overline{\mbox{DR}}$-on-shell (OS) renormalisation scheme for the Higgs sector and apply both $\overline{\mbox{DR}}$ and OS renormalisation in the top/stop sector. For the treatment of the infrared divergences we apply and compare three different regularisation methods: the introduction of a regulator…
The new results on the muon anomalous magnetic moment (AMM) published by Fermilab in 2021, did not lead to a reduction of its long-pending deviation from the Standard Model (SM) value by more than 4$σ$. The explanation of this discrepancy by adding new particles to the theory puts many new physics models under tension when combined with the null results of the LHC direct searches for new particles. In this paper, we investigate the CP-violating Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the SM (NMSSM) with and without an inverse seesaw mechanism. We compute the one-loop supersymmetric contrib…
In this work, we make the first study of electroweak baryogenesis (EWBG) based on the LHC data in the CP-violating next-to-minimal supersymmetric model (NMSSM) where a strongly first order electroweak phase transition (EWPT) is obtained in the general complex Higgs potential. With representative benchmark points which pass the current LEP and LHC constraints, we demonstrate the structure of EWPT for those points and how a strongly first order EWPT is obtained in the complex NMSSM where the resulting gravitational wave production properties are found to be within the reaches of future space-bas…
In supersymmetric theories the Higgs boson masses are derived quantities where higher-order corrections have to be included in order to match the measured Higgs mass value at the precision of current experiments. Closely related through the Higgs potential are the Higgs self-interactions. In addition, the measurement of the trilinear Higgs self-coupling provides the first step towards the reconstruction of the Higgs potential and the experimental verification of the Higgs mechanism sui generis. In this paper, we advance our prediction of the trilinear Higgs self-couplings in the CP-violating N…
The R-Parity symmetry Violating (RPV) version of the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM) is attractive simultaneously with regard to the so-called mu-problem and the accommodation of three-flavor neutrino data at tree level. In this context, we show here that if the Lightest Supersymmetric Particle (LSP) is the gravitino, it possesses a lifetime larger than the age of the universe since its RPV induced decay channels are suppressed by the weak gravitational strength. This conclusion holds if one considers gravitino masses ~ 10^2 GeV like in supergravity scenarios, and is robu…
We consider the Next to Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM) which provides a natural solution to the so-called mu problem by introducing a new gauge-singlet superfield S. We realize that a new mechanism of neutrino mass suppression, based on the R-parity violating bilinear terms mu_i L_i H_u mixing neutrinos and higgsinos, arises within the NMSSM, offering thus an original solution to the neutrino mass problem (connected to the solution for the mu problem). We generate realistic (Majorana) neutrino mass values without requiring any strong hierarchy amongst the fundamental parameters,…
In the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model there is a strong correlation between the mass terms corresponding to the singlet Higgs and the singlino interaction states, both of which are proportional to the parameter $κ$. If this parameter is complex, explicit CP-violation occurs in the Higgs as well as the neutralino sectors of the model at the tree level, unlike in the minimal scenario. A small magnitude of $κ$ typically yields a $\cal{O}$(10) GeV lightest neutralino with a dominant singlino component. In such a scenario, the phase of $κ$, beside modifying the properties of the five…
The Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM) offers a rich framework embedding physics beyond the Standard Model as well as consistent interpretations of the results about the Higgs signal detected at the LHC. We investigate the decays of neutral Higgs states into Standard Model (SM) fermions and gauge bosons. We perform full one-loop calculations of the decay widths and include leading higher-order QCD corrections. We first discuss the technical aspects of our approach, before confronting our predictions to those of existing public tools, performing a numerical analysis and discu…
While the properties of the 125 GeV Higgs boson-like particle observed by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations are largely compatible with those predicted for the Standard Model state, significant deviations are present in some cases. We, therefore, test the viability of a Beyond the Standard Model scenario based on Supersymmetry, the CP-violating Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, against the corresponding experimental observations. Namely, we identify possible model configurations in which one of its Higgs bosons is consistent with the LHC observation and evaluate the role of the exp…
We present the program package NMSSMCALC for the calculation of the loop-corrected NMSSM Higgs boson masses and decay widths in the CP-conserving and CP-violating NMSSM. The full one-loop corrections to the Higgs boson masses are evaluated in a mixed renormalisation scheme of on-shell and $\overline{\mbox{DR}}$ conditions. The Higgs decay widths include the dominant higher order QCD corrections, and the decays into bottom quarks, strange quarks and tau leptons are supplemented by higher order SUSY corrections through effective couplings. All relevant off-shell decays into two massive gauge bos…
We evaluate the full next-to-leading order supersymmetric (SUSY) electroweak and SUSY-QCD corrections to the on-shell two-body decays of the charged Higgs bosons in the framework of the CP-conserving and CP-violating Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (NMSSM). Our corrections are implemented in the code NMSSMCALCEW in order to compute the branching ratios of the charged Higgs boson where we also take into account the state-of-the-art QCD corrections already included in the code. We investigate the impact of the NLO corrections for each decay mode in a wide range of …
We present the full next-to-leading order (NLO) supersymmetric (SUSY) electroweak and SUSY-QCD corrections to the decay widths of the charged Higgs boson decays into on-shell final states in the framework of the CP-conserving and CP-violating Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Model (NMSSM). The newly calculated corrections have been implemented in the code NMSSMCALCEW. In these proceedings, we discuss the impact of the NLO corrections on the charged Higgs boson branching ratios in a wide range of the parameter space that is still compatible with the experimental constraints. We also investigate t…
Determining the global minimum of Higgs potentials with several Higgs fields like the next-to-minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (NMSSM) is a non-trivial task already at the tree level. The global minimum of a Higgs potential can be found from the set of all its stationary points defined by a multivariate polynomial system of equations. We introduce here the algebraic Groebner basis approach to solve this system of equations. We apply the method to the NMSSM with CP conserving as well as CP violating parameters. The results reveal an interesting stationary-point structure o…
We consider the impact of several flavour-changing observables in the $B$- and the Kaon sectors on the parameter space of the NMSSM, in a minimal flavour violating version of this model. Our purpose consists in updating our previous results in arXiv:0710.3714 and designing an up-to-date flavour test for the public package NMSSMTools. We provide details concerning our implementation of the constraints in a series of brief reviews of the current status of the considered channels. Finally, we present a few consequences of these flavour constraints for the NMSSM, turning to two specific scenarios:…
In the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM) a variety of parameter configurations yields a Higgs boson consistent with the one observed at the LHC. Additionally, the Higgs sector of the model can contain explicit CP-violating phases even at the tree level, in contrast with the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). In this article we present the one-loop Higgs boson mass matrix of the complex NMSSM in the renormalisation-group-improved effective potential approach. We also present the trilinear Higgs boson self-couplings as well as various partial decay widths of a gene…
Since no direct signs of new physics have been observed so far indirect searches in the Higgs sector have become increasingly important. With the discovered Higgs boson behaving very Standard Model (SM)-like, however, indirect new physics manifestations are in general expected to be small. On the theory side, this makes precision predictions for the Higgs parameters and observables indispensable. In this paper, we provide in the framework of the CP-violating Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the SM (NMSSM) the complete next-to-leading order (SUSY-)electroweak corrections to the neutr…
We analyse the impact of explicit CP-violation in the Higgs sector of the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM) on its consistency with the Higgs boson data from the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Through detailed scans of the parameter space of the complex NMSSM for certain fixed values of one of its CP-violating (CPV) phases, we obtain a large number of points corresponding to five phenomenologically relevant scenarios containing $\sim 125$ GeV Higgs boson(s). We focus, in particular, on the scenarios where the visible peaks in the experimental samples can actually be explained…
We carry out a comprehensive analysis of the nonminimal supersymmetric standard model (NMSSM) with baryon and lepton number violation. We catalogue the baryon and lepton number violating dimension four and five operators of the model. We then study the renormalization group evolution and infrared stable fixed points of the Yukawa couplings and the soft supersymmetry breaking trilinear couplings of this model with baryon and lepton number (and R-parity) violation involving the heaviest generations. We show analytically that in the Yukawa sector of the NMSSM there is only one infrared stable fix…
Supersymmetric extensions of the standard model generically contain additional sources of CP violation. We discuss how at one loop a potentially large CP violating coupling of the lightest Higgs, h^0, to leptons is induced in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). The CP violating couplings of h^0 in extensions of the MSSM, such as the next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model (NMSSM) are also considered. We indicate how this CP violation might be observed; in particular a polarization-dependent production asymmetry, in the context of a muon collider, provides a means to access …

The Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard model (NMSSM) appears as an interesting candidate for the interpretation of the Higgs-measurement at the LHC and as a rich framework embedding physics beyond the Standard Model. We consider the renormalization of the Higgs sector of this model in its $\mathcal{CP}$-violating version, and propose a renormalization scheme for the calculation of on-shell Higgs masses. Moreover, the connection between the physical states and the tree-level ones is no longer trivial at the radiative level: a proper description of the corresponding transition thus proves n…
A consistent interpretation of the Higgs data requires the same precision in the Higgs boson masses and in the trilinear Higgs self-couplings, which are related through their common origin from the Higgs potential. In this work we provide the two-loop corrections at order ${\cal O}(α_t α_s)$ in the approximation of vanishing external momenta to the trilinear Higgs self-couplings in the CP-violating Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (NMSSM). In the top/stop sector two different renormalization schemes have been implemented, the OS and the $\overline{\text{DR}}$ sche…
In this study, we work in the framework of the Next-to-Minimal extension of the Standard Model (NMSSM) extended by six singlet leptonic superfields. Through the mixing with the three doublet leptonic superfields, the non-zero tiny neutrino masses can be generated through the inverse seesaw mechanism. While $R$-parity is conserved in this model lepton number is explicitly violated. We quantify the impact of the extended neutrino sector on the NMSSM Higgs sector by computing the complete one-loop corrections with full momentum dependence to the Higgs boson masses in a mixed on-shell-$\overline{\…
The phenomenology of the explicit CP violation in the Higgs sector of the next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model (NMSSM) is investigated, with emphasis on the charged Higgs boson. The radiative corrections due to both quarks and scalar-quarks of the third generation are taken into account, and the negative result of the search for the Higgs bosons at CERN LEP2, with the discovery limit of 0.1 pb, is imposed as a constraint. It is found that there are parameter regions of the NMSSM where the lightest neutral Higgs boson may even be massless, without being detected at LEP2. This implies t…
The Next-To-Minimal-Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (NMSSM) has been in the focus of extensive studies in the past two decades. In anticipation of the LHC era, the interest in automatized tools that can calculate collider signatures has grown. We present the implementation of the NMSSM into the event generator WHIZARD. In addition to a brief review of the implementation, we discuss the testing and validation procedure. Phenomenological studies will not be presented here.
The Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Extension of the Standard Model (NMSSM) with a Higgs sector containing five neutral and two charged Higgs bosons allows for a rich phenomenology. In addition, the plethora of parameters provides many sources of CP violation. In contrast to the Minimal Supersymmetric Extension, CP violation in the Higgs sector is already possible at tree-level. For a reliable understanding and interpretation of the experimental results of the Higgs boson search, and for a proper distinction of Higgs sectors provided by the Standard Model or possible extensions, the Higgs boson…
We study the μ\to e γdecay in the Z_3-invariant next-to-minimal supersymmetric (SUSY) Standard Model (NMSSM) with superheavy right-handed neutrinos. We assume that the soft SUSY breaking parameters are generated at the GUT scale, not universally as in the minimal supergravity scenario but in such a way that those soft parameters which are specific to the NMSSM can differ from the soft parameters which involve only the MSSM fields while keeping the universality at the GUT scale within the soft parameters for the MSSM and right-handed neutrino fields. We call this type of boundary conditions "se…
The Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM) contains a singlet-like pseudoscalar Higgs boson in addition to the doublet-like pseudoscalar of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. This new pseudoscalar can have a very low mass without violating the LEP exclusion constraints and it can potentially provide a hallmark signature of non-minimal supersymmetry at the LHC. In this analysis we revisit the light pseudoscalar in the NMSSM with partial universality at some high unification scale. We delineate the regions of the model's parameter space that are consistent with the up-to-d…
We study CP-violating effects in $B\to ψK_{s}$ decay within minimal supersymmetric models with spontaneous CP-violation. We find that the CP-asymmetry predicted by the Standard Model in this decay, $\sin 2β\geq 0.4$, cannot be accommodated in these models without violating the bound on the neutron electric dipole moment. This result holds for NMSSM-like models with an arbitrary number of sterile superfields. Further implications of the scenario are discussed.
Natural Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (nNMSSM) is featured by predicting one CP-even Higgs boson satisfying $m_{h_1} \lesssim 120 \,{\rm GeV}$ and Higgsinos lighter than about 300 GeV, and consequently the cross section for DM-nucleon scattering in this scenario is usually quite large. We study the diphoton signal of the light Higgs boson in nNMSSM by considering the tight constraints from the latest LUX and PandaX-II experiments, and we conclude that the optimal value of the signal rate at 8 TeV LHC is greatly reduced in comparison with earlier predictions. For example, previo…
In the next-to-minimal supersymmetric (NMS) Standard Model (SM), it is possible for either one of the additional singlet-like scalar and pseudoscalar Higgs bosons to be almost degenerate in mass with the ~125 GeV SM-like Higgs state. In the real NMSSM (rNMSSM), when the mass difference between two scalar states is comparable to their individual total decay widths, the quantum mechanical interference, due to the relevant diagonal as well as off-diagonal terms in the propagator matrix, between them can become sizable. This possibility invalidates usage of the narrow width approximation (NWA) to …
Electroweak precision observables, being highly sensitive to loop contributions of new physics, provide a powerful tool to test the theory and to discriminate between different models of the underlying physics. In that context, the $W$ boson mass, $M_W$, plays a crucial role. The accuracy of the $M_W$ measurement has been significantly improved over the last years, and further improvement of the experimental accuracy is expected from future LHC measurements. In order to fully exploit the precise experimental determination, an accurate theoretical prediction for $M_W$ in the Standard Model (SM)…
The spontaneous violation of the CP symmetry in the next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard Model (NMSSM) is investigated. It is found that the spontaneous violation of the CP symmetry can occur in the Higgs sector of the NMSSM for a wide region of the parameter space of the model, at the 1-loop level where the radiative corrections due to the top quark and scalar-top quark loops are found to generate the scalar-pseudoscalar mixings between the two Higgs doublets of the NMSSM. In our model, we assume that the masses of the left-handed and the right-handed scalar-top quarks are not degenerate. …
In this talk I discuss some aspects of the phenomenology of a moderately light charged Higgs ($H^\pm$) with a mass $\gts 130$ GeV, lighter than the top quark, at the LHC. A charged Higgs in this mass range is still allowed in next-to-minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM) at low $\tan β$ as well as in CP-violating (\cp) Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) for a certain choice of \cp parameters, still respecting all the LEP-II bounds. In both the cases, the $H^\pm$ has a large branching ratio in the $W^\pm ϕ$ channel, where $ϕ$ denotes a generic Higgs which is dominantly pseudos…
We discuss the impact of the two-loop corrections to the Higgs mass in the NMSSM beyond $O(α_S(α_b + α_t))$. For this purpose we use the combination of the public tools SARAH and SPheno to include all contributions stemming from superpotential parameters. We show that the corrections in the case of a heavy singlet are often MSSM-like and reduce the predicted mass of the SM-like state by about 1 GeV as long as $λ$ is moderately large. For larger values of $λ$ the additional corrections can increase the SM-like Higgs mass. If a light singlet is present the additional corrections become more impo…
We test the impact of the ATLAS and CMS multi-lepton searches performed at the LHC with 8 as well as 13 TeV center-of-mass energy (using only the pre-2018 results) on the chargino and neutralino sector of the NMSSM. Our purpose consists in analyzing the actual reach of these searches for a full model and in emphasizing effects beyond the MSSM that affect the performance of current (MSSM-inspired) electroweakino searches. To this end, we consider several scenarios characterizing specific features of the NMSSM electroweakino sector. We then perform a detailed collider study, generating Monte-Car…
While the properties of the signal that was discovered in the Higgs searches at the LHC are consistent so far with the Higgs boson of the Standard Model (SM), it is crucial to investigate to what extent other interpretations that may correspond to very different underlying physics are compatible with the current results. We use the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM) as a well-motivated theoretical framework with a sufficiently rich Higgs phenomenology to address this question, making use of the public tools HiggsBounds and HiggsSignals in order to take into account comprehen…
We propose a Z_2-stabilised singlino (\barχ) as a dark matter candidate in extended and R-parity violating versions of the supersymmetric standard model. \barχ interacts with visible matter via a heavy messenger field S, which results in a supersymmetric version of the Higgs portal interaction. The relic abundance of \barχ can account for cold dark matter if the messenger mass satisfies M_S \lsim 10^{4} GeV. Our model can be implemented in many realistic supersymmetric models such as the NMSSM and nMSSM.
We consider spontaneous CP violation in the Next to Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM), without the usual $Z_3$ discrete symmetry. CP violation can occur at tree level, raising a potential conflict with the experimental bounds on the electric dipole moments of the electron and neutron. One escape from this is to demand that the CP violating angles are small, but we find that this entails an unacceptably light neutral Higgs.
There could be another scalar in nature quasi-degenerate with the observed one (h125). This is possible in models such as the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM). The scenario(s) with a single Higgs boson can be compared to that with multiple ones, all near 125 GeV. In order to assess the extent to which the current set of collider, cold dark matter relic density and direct detection limits are capable of discriminating these scenarios, we perform, for the first-time, global fits of a weak-scale phenomenological NMSSM with 26 free parameters using the nested sampling implemen…
In this paper we investigate the one-loop radiative corrections to the neutrino indices of refraction from supersymmetric models. We consider the Next-to Minimal Supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (NMSSM) which happens to be a better supersymmetric candidate than the MSSM for both theoretical and experimental reasons. We scan the relevant SUSY parameters and identify regions in the parameter space which yield interesting values for V_{mu tau}. If R-parity is broken there are significant differences between MSSM and NMSSM contributions contrary to the R-parity conserved case. Finall…
We discuss the generation of the baryon asymmetry by a strong first order electroweak phase transition in the early universe, particularly in the context of the MSSM. This requires a thorough numerical treatment of the bubble wall profile in the case of two Higgs fields. CP violating complex particle masses varying with the Higgs field in the wall are essential. Since in the MSSM there is no indication of spontaneous CP violation around the critical temperature (contrary to the NMSSM) we have to rely on standard explicit CP violation. Using the WKB approximation for particles in the plasma we …
We study the renormalization group evolution and the infra-red stable fixed points of the Yukawa couplings of the non-minimal supersymmetric standard model (NMSSM) with R-parity violation. Retaining only the R-parity violating couplings of higher generations, we analytically study the solutions of the renormalization group equations of all the couplings of the model. We find that there are no simultaneous non-trivial infra-red fixed points for all the couplings of the model, and that the infra-red fixed point structure of the model is similar to the MSSM with R-parity violation. In particular,…
We present a complete model whose low energy effective theory is the R-parity violating NMSSM with a baryon number violating udd vertex of the MFV SUSY form, leading to prompt LSP decay and evading the ever stronger LHC bounds on low-scale R-parity conserving supersymmetry. MFV flavor structure is enforced by gauging an SU(3) flavor symmetry at high energies. After the flavor group is spontaneously broken, mass mixing between the standard model fields and heavy vector-like quarks and leptons induces hierarchical Yukawa couplings which depend on the mixing angles. The same mechanism generates t…
We introduce SuperLFV, a numerical tool for calculating low-energy observables that exhibit charged lepton flavor violation (LFV) in the context of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). As the Large Hadron Collider and MEG, a dedicated mu -> e gamma experiment, are presently acquiring data, there is need for tools that provide rapid discrimination of models that exhibit LFV. SuperLFV accepts a spectrum file compliant with the SUSY Les Houches Accord (SLHA), containing the MSSM couplings and masses with complex phases at the supersymmetry breaking scale. In this manner, SuperLFV is …
We present SUSY_FLAVOR version 2.5 - program that calculates over 30 low-energy flavor observables in the general $R$-parity conserving MSSM. Comparing to previous versions, in SUSY_FLAVOR v2.5 parameter initialization in SLHA2 formats has been significantly generalized, so that the program accepts most of the output files produced by other libraries analyzing the MSSM phenomenology. Number of bugs and inconsistencies have been fixed, based on users feedback. Calculations of several processes implemented in earlier versions have been corrected. New processes of rare decays of the top quark to …
Recent data from CoGeNT and DAMA are roughly consistent with a very light dark matter particle with $m\sim 4-10\gev$ and spin-independent cross section of order $σ_{SI} \sim (1-3)\times 10^{-4}\pb$. An important question is whether these observations are compatible with supersymmetric models obeying $Ωh^2\sim 0.11$ without violating existing collider constraints and precision measurements. In this talk, I review the fact the the Minimal Supersymmetric Model allows insufficient flexibility to achieve such compatibility, basically because of the highly constrained nature of the MSSM Higgs sector…
We discuss the phenomenology of several Beyond the Standard Model (SM) extensions that include extended Higgs sectors. The models discussed are: the SM extended by a complex singlet field (CxSM), the 2-Higgs-Doublet Model with a CP-conserving (2HDM) and a CP-violating (C2HDM) scalar sector, the singlet extension of the 2-Higgs-Doublet Model (N2HDM), and the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric SM extension (NMSSM). All the above models have at least three neutral scalars, with one being the 125 GeV Higgs boson. This common feature allows us to compare the production and decay rates of the other two …
We re-examine spontaneous CP violation at the tree level in the context of the next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model (NMSSM) with two Higgs doublets and a gauge singlet field. We analyse the most general Higgs potential without a discrete Z_3 symmetry, and derive an upper bound on the mass of the lightest neutral Higgs boson consistent with present experimental data. We investigate, in particular, its dependence on the admixture and CP-violating phase of the gauge singlet field, as well as on tan(beta). To assess the viability of the spontaneous CP violation scenario, we estimate epsil…
The search for supersymmetry (SUSY) and other classes of new physics will be tackled on two fronts, with high energy, direct detection machines, and in high precision experiments searching for indirect signatures. While each of these methods has its own strengths, even more can be gained by finding ways to combine their results. In this paper, we examine one way of bridging these two types of experiments by calculating sum rules which link physical squark masses to the flavor-violating squark mixings. These sum rules are calculated for minimally flavor-violating SUSY theories at both high and …
