We start by presenting the current status of a complex flavour conserving two-Higgs doublet model. We will focus on some very interesting scenarios where unexpectedly the light Higgs couplings to leptons and to b-quarks can have a large pseudoscalar component with a vanishing scalar component. Predictions for the allowed parameter space at end of the next run with a total collected luminosity of $300 \, fb^{-1}$ and $3000 \, fb^{-1}$ are also discussed. These scenarios are not excluded by present data and most probably will survive the next LHC run. However, a measurement of the mixing angle $ϕ_τ$, between the scalar and pseudoscalar component of the 125 GeV Higgs, in the decay $h \to τ^+ τ^-$ will be able to probe many of these scenarios, even with low luminosity. Similarly, a measurement of $ϕ_t$ in the vertex $\bar t t h$ could help to constrain the low $\tan β$ region in the Type I model.
We study flavor violating processes in the production or decay of a neutral pseudoscalar meson $P^0$ in the framework of a general two Higgs Doublet Model type III (2HDM-III). We use a version of the model where Yukawa interactions of neutral Higgs bosons allow for flavor change at the tree-level, but conserves CP symmetry. We focus on all possible $τ^{\pm} \to l^{\pm}P^0 $ and $P^0 \to l^+l'^-$ decay channels, where $l,l'$ are charged leptons. We find that these processes provide complementary information on quark and lepton FCNC Yukawa couplings. In particular flavor violating parameters in …
Dark matter models with light mediators featuring sizable interactions among dark particles enjoy an increasing attention in the model building community due to the elegance with which they can potentially explain the scaling relations governing galactic halos and clusters of galaxies. In the present work we continue our study of such models using non-relativistic and potential non-relativistic effective field theories (NREFTs and pNREFTs) and explore the properties of a Yukawa-type model with scalar and pseudoscalar interactions between a low-energetic scalar mediator and heavy dark matter fe…
The exchange of light pseudoscalars between fermions leads to a spin-independent potential in order g^4, where g is the Yukawa pseudoscalar-fermion coupling constant. This potential gives rise to detectable violations of both the weak equivalence principle (WEP) and the gravitational inverse-square law (ISL), even if g is quite small. We show that when previously derived WEP constraints are combined with those arisingfrom ISL tests, a direct experimental limit on the Yukawa coupling of light pseudoscalars to neutrons can be inferred for the first time (g_n^2/4pi < 1.6 \times 10^-7), along with…
Using dispersion theoretic techniques, we consider coherent long range forces arising from double pseudoscalar exchange among fermions. We find that Yukawa type coupling leads to $1/r^3$ spin independent attractive potentials whereas derivative coupling renders $1/r^5$ spin independent repulsive potentials.
The exchange of light pseudoscalar quanta between fermions leads to long-range spin-dependent forces in order g^2, where g is the pseudoscalar-fermion coupling constant. We demonstrate that laboratory bounds on the Yukawa couplings of pseudoscalars to nucleons can be significantly improved using results from recent equivalence principle experiments, which are sensitive to the spin-independent long-range forces that arise in order g^4 from two-pseudoscalar exchange.
Maximally Symmetric $n$-Higgs Doublet Models (MS-$n$HDMs)define very economic settings that enable sharp Higgs-sector predictions beyond the Standard Model (SM) potentially testable at high-energy colliders. The scalar potential of a MS-$n$HDM obeys an $\mathrm{Sp(2}n)$ symmetry, which is softly broken by bilinear scalar masses and explicitly by hypercharge and Yukawa couplings through renormalisation-group effects. The $\mathrm{Sp(2}n)$ also ensures natural SM alignment and allows for quartic coupling unification up to the Planck scale. As typical examples, we consider maximally symmetric rea…
We study dark matter at the MSSM pseudoscalar Higgs resonance (A-funnel), which is one of the few remaining MSSM thermal dark matter candidates in the $100-1000$ GeV range safe from direct detection constraints. To illustrate the various factors at play, this study is performed in two contrasting set-ups: a bottom-up phenomenological MSSM (pMSSM) approach that allows significant freedom, and the top-down, highly constrained Yukawa unified $SO(10)$ GUT model. In the pMSSM, for $μ> 0$, the entire parameter space lies above the coherent neutrino background and mostly within reach of XENON1T and L…
We study the effects of scalar-pseudoscalar mixing induced from quantum loop on $ε'/ε$ in SUSY models with $\tanβ\sim m_{t}/m_{b}$. We find that even the non-universal soft ${\cal A}^{d}$ term and Yukawa matrix, $Y^{d}$, are hermitian, the predicted value of $|ε'/ε|$ can be consistent with the measured results of NA48 and KTeV. And also the EDMs are compatible with experimental bounds.
Extensions of the MSSM generically feature gauge singlet Higgs bosons. These singlet Higgs bosons have tan(beta)-enhanced Yukawa couplings to down-type quarks and leptons at the one-loop level. We present an effective Lagrangian incorporating these Yukawa couplings and use it to study their effect on singlet Higgs boson phenomenology within both the mnSSM and NMSSM. It is found that the loop-induced couplings represent an appreciable effect for the singlet pseudoscalar in particular, and may dominate its decay modes in some regions of parameter space.
Top quark with its large Yukawa coupling is crucially important to explore TeV scale physics. Therefore, the study of Higgs-top sector is highly motivated to look for any deviations from the standard model predictions. The most general lowest order Lagrangian for the Higgs-top Yukawa coupling has scalar ($κ$) and pseudoscalar ($\tildeκ$) components. Currently, these couplings are constrained indirectly using the present experimental limits on the Higgs-$γ$-$γ$ and Higgs-gluon-gluon couplings. Furthermore, stronger bounds on $κ$ and $\tildeκ$ are obtained using the limits on the electric dipole…
A system of Schwinger-Dyson equations for pseudoscalar four-dimensional Yukawa model in the two-particle approximation is investigated. The simplest iterative solution of the system corresponds to the mean-field approximation (or, equivalently, to the leading order of 1/N-expansion) and includes a non-physical Landau pole in deep-Euclidean region for the pseudoscalar propagator $Δ$. It is argued, however, that a full solution may be free from non-physical singularities and has the self-consistent asymptotic behavior $p^2_eΔ\simeq C\,\log^{-4/5}\frac{p^2_e}{M^2}$. An approximate solution confir…
Current muon anomalous magnetic moment data have challenged the SM, and seems to open a window to new Physics. Since the difference between SM and experimental predictions is approximately $2.6σ$. In the framework of the General Two Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM), we calculate the muon anomalous magnetic moment to get lower and upper bounds for the Flavor Changing Yukawa couplings (FC) in the leptonic sector. We also obtain lower bounds for the mass of the Pseudoscalar Higgs ($m_{A^ 0}$, as a function of the parameters of the model.
Singlet Higgs bosons present in extensions of the MSSM can have sizable Yukawa couplings to the b quark and the tau lepton for large values of tan(beta) at the 1-loop level. We present an effective Lagrangian which incorporates these tan(beta)-enhanced Yukawa couplings and which enables us to study their effect on singlet Higgs-boson phenomenology within the context of both the mnSSM and the NMSSM. In particular, we find that the loop-induced coupling can be a significant effect for the singlet pseudoscalar, and may dominate its decay modes. Further implications of the tan(beta)-enhanced Yukaw…
Many extensions to the Standard Model imply the existence of new charged scalar Higgs bosons. We study the contribution of a general scalar or pseudoscalar coupling for the neutrino-electron scattering. We take a phenomenological approach in order to obtain model independent limits to the couplings that arise in this picture. We illustrate the reach of the constraints by studying the particular case of the type III two Higgs doublet model, where we have found new constraints to some elements of the Yukawa couplings mixing matrix ($|Y_{ee}| \leq 1 \times 10^{-1}$ and $|Y_{eμ}| \leq 7\times10^{-…
Current experimental data from the $g-2$ muon factor, seems to show the necessity of physics beyond the Standard Model (SM), since the difference between SM and experimental predictions is 2.6$σ$. In the framework of the General Two Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM), we calculate the muon anomalous magnetic moment to get lower and upper bounds for the Flavour Changing (FC) Yukawa couplings in the leptonic sector. We also obtain lower bounds for the mass of the pseudoscalar Higgs ($m_{A^0}$) as a function of the parameters of the model.
We consider an Abelian model with a CP-conserving Higgs potential spanned by two complex Higgs fields. The CP invariance of the Higgs potential is then broken explicitly beyond the Born approximation by introducing soft-CP-violating Yukawa interactions. Based on the non-renormalization theorem, we derive the consistency conditions under which a CP-odd counterterm exists and, at the same time, renders the one-loop-induced mixing of a CP-even Higgs boson with a CP-odd Higgs scalar ultra-violet finite. The novel CP-odd tadpole renormalization may then be determined from the minimization constrain…
We estimate the values of Yukawa couplings of a light pseudoscalar A with a mass of about 17 MeV, which would explain the $^8Be$ anomaly observed in the Atomki pair spectrometer experiment. The resulting couplings of A to up and down type quarks are about 0.3 times the coupling of the standard Higgs boson. Then constraints from K and B decays require that loop contributions to flavour changing vertices cancel at least at the 10% level. Constraints from beam dump experiments require the coupling of A to electrons to be larger than about 4 times the coupling of the standard Higgs boson, leading …
We consider a model with global Abelian chiral symmetry of two massless fermion fields interacting with a complex massive scalar field. We argue that the Schwinger-Dyson equations for the fermion and boson propagators admit ultraviolet-finite chiral-symmetry-breaking solutions provided the Yukawa couplings are large enough. The fermions acquire masses and the elementary excitations of the complex scalar field are the two real spin-zero particles with different masses. As a necessary consequence of the dynamical chiral symmetry breakdown both in the fermion and scalar sectors, one massless pseu…
Yukawa production of a light scalar can be explored at a linear collider. Light (pseudo)scalar can exist in extended Higgs models and an interesting example is the light pseudoscalar in Type-X two Higgs doublet model. The model can explain the anomalous magnetic moment of muon at large $\tan β$. We show that the available parameter space in this model can be examined by the Yukawa process at 5$σ$ at the ILC.
We explore the prospect of Yukawa production of a light boson which can exist in an extended Higgs sector. A particularly interesting case is the light pseudoscalar in Type-X two Higgs doublet model which can explain the anomalous magnetic moment of muon at large $\tanβ$. Considering ILC $Higgs$ $factory$ with $\sqrt{s}=250$ GeV, we show that the available parameter space can be fully examined by the (tau) Yukawa process at $5σ$. We also demonstrate the mass reconstruction of such a light particle which helps to sizably minimize the background events.
This paper studies new possibilities to directly measure a hypothetical $CP$-odd (pseudoscalar) component in the top-quark Yukawa coupling. In particular, the role of the $t{\bar t} h$ center-of-mass rest frame in the associated production of a top pair and a $h$ boson at the LHC is explored. The $h$ boson is assumed to have both a $CP$-even (scalar) and a $CP$-odd coupling to the top quark. The relative strength of the scalar and pseudoscalar components is regulated by an angle $α$. Observables sensitive to the nature of the top-quark Yukawa coupling are proposed. These observables are define…
Determination of the top-quark Yukawa couplings in the process e+ e- -> t \bar{t} Z has been studied for the high luminosity option (\int L=500\fbinver) of a linear e+e- collider. Polarization of the electron beam has been considered. The method of optimal observables has been adopted to determine the couplings and to disentangle different models. It has been found that it could be possible to discriminate between the Standard Model scalar Higgs boson, pure pseudoscalar and the Higgs boson of mixed CP at about 12 σlevel for \sqrt{s}=1.TeV for the Higgs boson close to the production threshold b…
We study a model with two Higgs doublets where FCNC are allowed at tree-level. In this model, the interactions of charged Higgs with fermions ($H^\pm f \bar{f'}$), include a term that is not proportional to the fermion masses, which we constraint using the following low-energy processes: i) tau decays ($τ\to ν_τ eν_e, ν_τμν_μ, ν_τπ$), ii) leptonic decays of pseudoscalar mesons ($π, K \to \ellν_{\ell}$) and iii) semileptonic b-decays. With these constraints it is possible to make predictions; we illustrate this by presenting the rates for the (FCNC) decay $c\to u+γ$, the (second class-current) …
To explain the observed muon anomaly and simultaneously evade bounds from lepton flavor violation in the same model parameter space is a long cherished dream. In view of a generalized Two Higgs Doublet Model, with a Yukawa structure as a perturbation of Type-X, we are able to get substantial parameter space satisfying this criteria. We are focusing on a region with "{\bf wrong-sign}" lepton-Yukawa coupling which gives rise to an interesting phenomenological consequences. We found that in the "wrong-sign" region, it is possible to probe the low-mass pseudoscalar in flavor-violating decay mode w…
The status of top-bottom-tau Yukawa coupling unification in supersymmetric SO(10) models is reviewed with a particular emphasis on the implications of the Higgs boson mass in the vicinity of 125 GeV, as suggested by the LHC Higgs data. In addition, the recently proposed model with negative μ, D-term splitting of the soft scalar masses and non-universal gaugino masses generated by a non-zero F-term in a 24-dimensional representation of SU(5) \subset SO(10) is re-analysed in the context of the 125 GeV Higgs. The condition of top-bottom-tau Yukawa unification together with the Higgs mass of about…
We discuss the CP nature of the Yukawa couplings of the Higgs boson in the framework of a complex two Higgs doublet model (C2HDM). After analysing all data gathered during the Large Hadron Collider run 1, the measurement of the Higgs couplings to the remaining SM particles already restricts the parameter space of many extensions of the SM. However, there is still room for very large CP-odd Yukawa couplings to light quarks and leptons while the top-quark Yukawa coupling is already very constrained by current data. Although indirect measurements of electric dipole moments play a very important r…
We investigate the renormalization group flow of the field-dependent Yukawa coupling in the framework of the three flavor quark-meson model. In a conventional perturbative calculation, given that the field rescaling is trivial, the Yukawa coupling does not get renormalized at the one-loop level if it is coupled to an equal number of scalar and pseudoscalar fields. Its field-dependent version, however, does flow with respect to the scale. Using the functional renormalization group technique, we show that it is highly nontrivial how to extract the actual flow of the Yukawa coupling as there are …
A light pseudoscalar of the lepton-specific 2HDM can enhance the muon g-2, but suffer from various constraints easily, such as the 125.5 GeV Higgs signals, non-observation of additional Higgs at the collider and even $B_s\to μ^+μ^-$. In this paper, we take the light CP-even Higgs as the 125.5 GeV Higgs, and examine the implications of those observables on a pseudoscalar with the mass below the half of 125.5 GeV. Also the other relevant theoretical and experimental constraints are considered. We find that the pseudoscalar can be allowed to be as low as 10 GeV, but the corresponding $\tanβ$, $\s…
We present a general argument that highlights the difficulty of determining the space-time structure of the renormalizable bottom quark Yukawa interactions of the Standard Model Higgs boson, or for that matter of any hypothetical spin-zero particle, at high energy colliders. The essence of the argument is that, it is always possible, by chiral rotations, to transform between scalar and pseudoscalar Yukawa interactions without affecting the interactions of bottom quarks with SM gauge bosons. Since these rotations affect only the $b$-quark mass terms in the Standard Model Lagrangian, any differe…
The differential rate of the decay of the Higgs boson ($h$) to a pair of $τ$ leptons with their subsequent decay in the $τ^-\to π^- ν_τ$ and $τ^+\to π^+{\bar ν}_τ$ channels is studied. The Yukawa interaction between the Higgs boson and the $τ$ leptons is assumed to include scalar ($S$) and pseudoscalar ($PS$) couplings. Angular distributions of the pions in the $h\toτ^- τ^+\toπ^-ν_τ\,π^+{\bar ν}_τ$ decay are considered. For real values of the $S$ and $PS$ couplings, this decay is known to be a source of information on $\mathcal{CP}$ violation in the $h ττ$ interaction. In the present paper, th…
Dynamical Chern-Simons gravity (dCS) is a four-dimensional parity-violating extension of general relativity. Current models predict the effect of this extension to be negligible due to large decay constants $f$ close to the scale of grand unified theories. Here, we present a construction of dCS allowing for much smaller decay constants, ranging from sub-eV to Planck scales. Specifically, we show that if there exists a fermion species with strong self-interactions, the short-wavelength fermion modes form a bound state. This bound state can then undergo dynamical symmetry breaking and the result…
In the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model, the heaviest CP-even Higgs boson H and the CP-odd Higgs scalar A are predicted to be almost degenerate in mass at the tree level, for the wide kinematic range M_A > 2M_Z and \tanβ\ge 2. However, if large soft-CP-violating Yukawa interactions involving scalar quarks of the third generation are present in the theory, then the CP invariance of the Higgs potential can be maximally broken beyond the Born approximation, and the high degree of mass degeneracy between H and A may be lifted through a sizeable HA mixing. After taking the CP-odd tadpole renor…
It is shown that substantially enhanced Higgs to diphoton rate induced by light staus with large left-right mixing in MSSM requires at the GUT scale non-universal gaugino masses with bino and/or wino lighter than gluino. The possibility of such enhancement is investigated in MSSM models with arbitrary gaugino masses at the GUT scale with additional restriction of top-bottom-tau Yukawa unification, as predicted by minimal SO(10) GUTs. Many patterns of gaugino masses leading to enhanced Higgs to diphoton rate and the Yukawa unification are identified. Some of these patterns can be accommodated i…
The quest for new heavy states is a critical component of the LHC physics program. In this letter, we study the search for pseudoscalar bosons produced in association with a $t\bar{t}$ pair. We consider the final state $t\bar{t} A \to t\bar{t} b\bar{b}$ with di-leptonic top pair signature, and reconstruct the boosted $A \to b\bar{b}$ candidate with jet substructure techniques, achieving a remarkable sensitivity over a broad range of pseudoscalar masses and Yukawa couplings. We apply this strategy to a Type-I Two-Higgs-Doublet Model, demonstrating its ability to probe a realistic, UV-complete e…
We present a generic Z_2 x Z_2-invariant scalar field theory with four real scalar fields in six-dimensional Minkowskian spacetime which yields solutions consisting of two intersecting domain-wall kinks which are each paired by fields with lump-like profiles. For a special parameter choice, analytic solutions can be obtained. We show that the Z_2 x Z_2 symmetry can be maintained while coupling fermions by introducing scalar Yukawa couplings to one kink-lump pair and six-dimensional pseudoscalar Yukawa couplings to the other, and we show that there exists a zero mode localized to the domain-wal…
Recent progress on muon $g-2$ measurement prompts one to take it even more seriously. In the general two Higgs doublet model that allows extra Yukawa couplings, we take a simplified approach of single enhanced coupling. We fix the charged lepton flavor violating coupling, $ρ_{τμ} = ρ_{μτ}$, via the one-loop mechanism, for illustrative masses of the heavy scalar $H$ and pseudoscalar $A$, where we assume $m_A = m_{H^+}$. Since extra top Yukawa couplings are plausibly the largest, we turn on $ρ_{tt}$ and find that LHC search for $gg \to H,\,A \to τμ$ gives more stringent bound than from $τ\to μγ$…
The latest LHC data confirmed the existence of a Higgs-like particle and made interesting measurements on its decays into $γγ$, $Z Z^\ast$, $W W^\ast$, $τ^+ τ^-$, and $b \bar{b}$. It is expected that a decay into $Z γ$ might be measured at the next LHC round, for which there already exists an upper bound. The Higgs-like particle could be a mixture of scalar with a relatively large component of pseudoscalar. We compute the decay of such a mixed state into $Z γ$, and we study its properties in the context of the complex two Higgs doublet model, analysing the effect of the current measurements on…
We present a comprehensive analysis of the muon magnetic moment $a_μ$ in the flavour-aligned two-Higgs doublet model (2HDM) and parameter constraints relevant for $a_μ$. We employ a recent full two-loop computation of $a_μ$ and take into account experimental constraints from Higgs and flavour physics on the parameter space. Large $a_μ$ is possible for light pseudoscalar Higgs A with large Yukawa couplings to leptons, and it can be further increased by large A coupling to top quarks. We investigate in detail the maximum possible Yukawa couplings to leptons and quarks of a light A, finding value…
In this paper we present a phenomenological analysis of the Partially Aligned Two Higgs Doublet Model (PA-2HDM) by using leptonic decays of mesons and $B^0_{d,s}$-$\bar B^0_{d,s}$ mixing. We focus our attention in a scenario where the leading contribution to FCNC is given by the tree level interaction with the light pseudoscalar $A^0$ ($M_{A^0}\sim 250$ GeV). We show how an underlying flavor symmetry controls FCNC in the quark and lepton couplings with the pseudoscalar, without alignment between Yukawa matrices. Upper bounds on the free parameters are calculated in the context of the leptonic …
Axions or similar hypothetical pseudoscalar bosons may have a small CP-violating scalar Yukawa interaction g_s(N) with nucleons, causing macroscopic monopole-dipole forces. Torsion-balance experiments constrain g_p(e) g_s(N), whereas g_p(N) g_s(N) is constrained by the depolarization rate of ultra-cold neutrons or spin-polarized nuclei. However, the pseudoscalar couplings g_p(e) and g_p(N) are strongly constrained by stellar energy-loss arguments and g_s(N) by searches for anomalous monopole-monopole forces, together providing the most restrictive limits on g_p(e) g_s(N) and g_p(N) g_s(N). The…
We conduct a general discussion of supersymmetric models with three families in the Higgs sector. We analyse the scalar potential, and investigate the minima conditions, deriving the mass matrices for the scalar, pseudoscalar and charged states. Depending on the Yukawa couplings and the Higgs spectrum, the model might allow the occurrence of potentially dangerous flavour changing neutral currents at the tree-level. We compute model-independent contributions for several observables, and as an example we apply this general analysis to a specific model of quark-Higgs interactions, discussing how …
We put forward a two-Higgs-doublet model, furnished with a $Z_3$ symmetry, wherein $CP$ is conserved in the dimension-four terms of the Lagrangian and is softly broken in the scalar potential. The new particles of our model are one neutral scalar $H$, one neutral pseudoscalar $A$, and two charged scalars $H^\pm$. In our model the only locus of $CP$ violation is the CKM matrix. Strong $CP$ violation is absent both at the tree and one-loop levels. We work out the phenomenological constraints on our model, which features flavour-changing neutral Yukawa interactions, showing that the new scalar pa…
We investigate the effects of the radiatively-generated tan beta-enhanced Higgs-singlet Yukawa couplings on the decay $Υ\to γA_1$ in the NMSSM, where $A_1$ is the lightest CP-odd scalar. This radiative coupling is found to dominate in the case of a highly singlet Higgs pseudoscalar. The branching ratio for the production of such a particle is shown to be within a few orders of magnitude of current experimental constraints across a significant region of parameter space. This represents a potentially observable signal for experiments at present B-factories.
We consider general fermi-phobic scenarios in which excess events in diphoton or WW/ZZ resonances may be seen at LHC. These Higgs like signals do not necessarily suggest that the new resonance is a particle with Yukawa couplings nor do we know that it is responsible for electroweak symmetry breaking. We can, however, extract two facts from it, this particle couples to pairs of SU(2) and U(1) gauge bosons and it must be a scalar, pseudoscalar, or tensor. We consider the signals of general operators up to effective dimension 5 in which a new scalar, psuedo-scalar, or tensor particle may couple t…
A recent signal of 750 GeV diphotons at the LHC can be explained within the framework of supersymmetric unification by the introduction of vector quarks and leptons with Yukawa couplings to a singlet S that describes the 750 GeV resonance. We study the most general set of theories that allow successful gauge coupling unification, and find that these Yukawa couplings are severely constrained by renormalization group behavior: they are independent of ultraviolet physics and flow to values at the TeV scale that we calculate precisely. As a consequence the vector quarks and leptons must be light; …
A light leptophilic boson (scalar or pseudoscalar) has been postulated to explain the muon g-2 anomaly and could be a portal to dark matter. Realizing the leptophilic nature of a singlet boson in the framework of the two-Higgs-doublet-Model of type-X, we identify the parameter space viable for the explanation of the updated muon g-2 discrepancy. It is then shown that such a hypothetical particle will be unambiguously ruled out or discovered via the Yukawa process at a lepton collider designed as a Higgs factory.
We discuss a Little Higgs scenario that introduces below the TeV scale just the two minimal ingredients of these models, a vectorlike T quark and a singlet component (implying anomalous couplings) in the Higgs field, together with a pseudoscalar singlet η. In the model, which is a variation of Schmaltz's simplest Little Higgs model, all the extra vector bosons are much heavier than the T quark. In the Yukawa sector the global symmetry is approximate, implying a single large coupling per flavour, whereas in the scalar sector it is only broken at the loop level. We obtain the one-loop effective …
We study Higgs boson decays in the minimal supersymmetric standard model where the tree-level CP invariance of the Higgs potential is explicitly broken by loop effects of soft CP-violating Yukawa interactions related to scalar quarks of the third generation. The scalar-pseudoscalar mixing among two neutral CP-even Higgs bosons and one CP-odd Higgs boson due to explicit CP violation modifies their tree-level couplings to fermions, to the W^\pm and Z bosons and to Higgs bosons themselves significantly. We analyze the phenomenological impact of explicit CP violation on the branching ratios of the…
