Further study on Hunt's hypothesis (H) for Levy processes

Getoor's conjecture that essentially all Levy processes satisfy (H) is a long-standing open problem in potential theory. In the beginning of the paper, we summarize the main results obtained so far for the problem. Then, we present two new necessary and sufficient conditions for the validity of (H). Furthermore, we give applications of these new criteria. First, we give explicit constructions of Levy processes satisfying (H) in a context where previously known results could not be applied. Second, we show that a large class of pure jump subordinators can be decomposed into the summation of two independent subordinators such that both of them satisfy (H).

Hunt's Hypothesis (H) for the Sum of Two Independent Levy Processes

Which Levy processes satisfy Hunt's hypothesis (H) is a long-standing open problem in probabilistic potential theory. The study of this problem for one-dimensional Levy processes suggests us to consider (H) from the point of view of the sum of Levy processes. In this paper, we present theorems and examples on the validity of (H) for the sum of two independent Levy processes. We also give a novel condition on the Levy measure which implies (H) for a large class of one-dimensional Levy processes.

New results on Hunt's hypothesis (H) for Lévy processes

In this paper, we present new results on Hunt's hypothesis (H) for Lévy processes. We start with a comparison result on Lévy processes which implies that big jumps have no effect on the validity of (H). Based on this result and the Kanda-Forst-Rao theorem, we give examples of subordinators satisfying (H). Afterwards we give a new necessary and sufficient condition for (H) and obtain an extended Kanda-Forst-Rao theorem. By virtue of this theorem, we give a new class of Lévy processes satisfying (H). Finally, we construct a type of subordinators that does not satisfy Rao's condition.

Hunt's hypothesis (H) and Getoor's conjecture for Lévy Processes

In this paper, Hunt's hypothesis (H) and Getoor's conjecture for Lévy processes are revisited. Let $X$ be a Lévy process on $\mathbf{R}^n$ with Lévy-Khintchine exponent $(a,A,μ)$. {First, we show that if $A$ is non-degenerate then $X$ satisfies (H). Optimal stopping of Hunt and Lévy processes

The optimal stopping problem for a Hunt processes on $\R$ is considered via the representation theory of excessive functions. In particular, we focus on infinite horizon (or perpetual) problems with one-sided structure, that is, there exists a point $x^*$ such that the stopping region is of the form $[x^*,+\infty)$. Hunt's hypothesis and symmetrization for general 1-dimensional diffusions

In this paper, we will consider the problem that how far from Hunt's hypothesis (H) to symmetrization for a general 1-dimensional diffusion. A characterization of (H) involving the classification of points for this diffusion will be first obtained. Then the main result shows that such a process is symmetrizable, if and only if (H) holds and a certain family of asymmetric shunt points is empty. Furthermore, we will also derive the representation of associated Dirichlet forms of general 1-dimensional diffusions under symmetry.

Two Theorems on Hunt's Hypothesis (H) for Markov Processes

Hunt's hypothesis (H) and the related Getoor's conjecture is one of the most important problems in the basic theory of Markov processes. In this paper, we investigate the invariance of Hunt's hypothesis (H) for Markov processes under two classes of transformations, which are change of measure and subordination. General Rough integration, Levy Rough paths and a Levy--Kintchine type formula

We consider rough paths with jumps. In particular, the analogue of Lyons' extension theorem and rough integration are established in a jump setting, offering a pathwise view on stochastic integration against cadlag processes. Utility Maximisation for Exponential Levy Models with option and information processes

We consider expected utility maximisation problem for exponential Levy models and HARA utilities in presence of illiquid asset in portfolio. This illiquid asset is modelled by an option of European type on another risky asset which is correlated with the first one. Under some hypothesis on Levy processes, we give the expressions of information processes figured in maximum utility formula. As applications, we consider Black-Scholes models with correlated Brownian Motions, and also Black-Scholes models with jump part represented by Poisson process.
