Generic hyperelliptic Prym varieties in a generalized Henon-Heiles system

It is known that the Jacobian of an algebraic curve which is a 2-fold covering of a hyperelliptic curve ramified at two points contains a hyperelliptic Prym variety. Its explicit algebraic description is applied to some of the integrable Henon-Heiles systems with a non-polynomial potential. Namely, we identify the generic complex invariant manifolds of the systems as a hyperelliptic Prym subvariety of the Jacobian of the spectral curve of the corresponding Lax representation. The exact discretization of the system is described as a translation on the Prym variety.

Exact solutions for a class of integrable Henon-Heiles-type systems

We study the exact solutions of a class of integrable Henon-Heiles-type systems (according to the analysis of Bountis et al. (1982)). These solutions are expressed in terms of two-dimensional Kleinian functions. Special periodic solutions are expressed in terms of the well-known Weierstrass function. We extend some of our results to a generalized Henon-Heiles-type system with n+1 degrees of freedom.

Integration of a generalized Hénon-Heiles Hamiltonian

The generalized Hénon-Heiles Hamiltonian $H=1/2(P_X^2+P_Y^2+c_1X^2+c_2Y^2)+aXY^2-bX^3/3$ with an additional nonpolynomial term $μY^{-2}$ is known to be Liouville integrable for three sets of values of $(b/a,c_1,c_2)$. It has been previously integrated by genus two theta functions only in one of these cases. Defining the separating variables of the Hamilton-Jacobi equations, we succeed here, in the two other cases, to integrate the equations of motion with hyperelliptic functions.

An integrable hierarchy with a perturbed Henon-Heiles system

We consider an integrable scalar partial differential equation (PDE) that is second order in time. By rewriting it as a system and applying the Wahlquist-Estabrook prolongation algebra method, we obtain the zero curvature representation of the equation, which leads to a Lax representation in terms of an energy-dependent Schrödinger spectral problem of the type studied by Antonowicz and Fordy. Explicit integration of the Hénon-Heiles Hamiltonians

We consider the cubic and quartic He'non-Heiles Hamiltonians with additional inverse square terms, which pass the Painleve' test for only seven sets of coefficients. For all the not yet integrated cases we prove the singlevaluedness of the general solution. The seven Hamiltonians enjoy two properties: meromorphy of the general solution, which is hyperelliptic with genus two and completeness in the Painleve' sense (impossibility to add any term to the Hamiltonian without destroying the Painleve' property).

We consider a canonical transformation of parabolic coordinates on the plain and suppose that this transformation together with some additional relations may be considered as a counterpart of the auto and hetero Bäcklund transformations associated with the integrable Hénon-Heiles systems.

Henon-Heiles Hamiltonian for Coupled Upper-Hybrid and Magnetoacoutic Waves in Magnetized Plasmas

We show that the coupled mode equations for the stationary propagation of upper--hybrid and magnetoacoustic waves in magnetized electron--ion plasmas with negative group dispersion can be exactly derived from the generalized \Henon--Heiles Hamiltonian. The parameter regimes for the integrable cases of the coupled mode equations have been explicitly obtained. For positive group dispersion of the upper--hybrid waves, the relevant governing equations lead to a novel Hamiltonian where the kinetic energy is not positive definite.

Quasi-point separation of variables for the Henon-Heiles system and a system with quartic potential

We examine the problem of integrability of two-dimensional Hamiltonian systems by means of separation of variables. The systematic approach to construction of the special non-pure coordinate separation of variables for certain natural two-dimensional Hamiltonians is presented. On two nonintegrable cases of the generalized Henon-Heiles system with an additional nonpolynomial term

The generalized Henon-Heiles system with an additional nonpolynomial term is considered. In two nonintegrable cases new two-parameter solutions have been obtained in terms of elliptic functions. These solutions generalize the known one-parameter solutions. The singularity analysis shows that it is possible that three-parameter single-valued solutions exist in these two nonintegrable cases. The knowledge of the Laurent series solutions simplifies search of the elliptic solutions and allows to automatize it.

Integrable Henon-Heiles Hamiltonians: a Poisson algebra approach

The three integrable two-dimensional Henon-Heiles systems and their integrable perturbations are revisited. A family of new integrable perturbations is found, and N-dimensional completely integrable generalizations of all these systems are constructed by making use of sl(2,R)+h(3) as their underlying Poisson symmetry algebra. Bilinear recurrences and addition formulae for hyperelliptic sigma functions

The Somos 4 sequences are a family of sequences satisfying a fourth order bilinear recurrence relation. In recent work, one of us has proved that the general term in such sequences can be expressed in terms of the Weierstrass sigma function for an associated elliptic curve.
